The Dark Items


Along time ago, the Pharaoh Atemu had a great advisary. lt wasn't the rebelling priest, or the ever evasive tomb robber, no this one was much more cruel, and much more powerful. She had created a whole new shadow realm, in secret she had also created 7 new items, replicas of the original 7 items the Pharaoh had created the hold the power of the original shadow realm. While these items were similar in constrution, Pharaoh Atemu's were made of solid gold, while the replicas were made of a black gold, that no one really knows anything about. Even though the Pharaoh was strong the power of the new items together rivaled all the power the pharaoh could muster. The creater of these new items was called Sha-Ka-Ra.

When the Pharaoh discovered this power, a great power struggle insued, both sides wanting the other side's power. At the final stand off, with all 14 items present, the powers were called open, a huge explotion was caused. The Pharaoh and others loyal to him were locked into the original 7 items, latter they were called the Millenium Items. Sha-Ka-Ra was sealed into his most powerful item, her puzzle, just like the Pharaoh Atemu. THe Pharaoh's items were remembered for all time, while Sha-Ka-Ra's items were easily forgotten, the battle was never recorded. Sha-Ka-Ra's items became that of legend, then that of myth, they were called the Dark Items. Their power was to never be released, someone should have told the people of the future this, then the world may not have stopped that faithfull day.


"Thank's Grandpa, l can't wait to but i together!" a happy child, with tri-coloured hair, exclaimed at the present his grandfather had gotten him, for his birthday. It was an ancient puzzle, from Egypt.

"They say, that when you solve this puzzle, you get one wish. l really hope you enjoy your presents Yugi. Happy Birthday!" the young boy's grandfather happily said.


Half way around the world, another happy child is celebrating her birthday. "Happy Birthday Joelle!", all the people in the room, sang.

"Thank you." Joelle, was really happy, this was the first birthday she actualy had most of her family home.

"Joelle, honey wait, your brother has a present he wants to give you." Joelle's mom said, and Joelle truned to her older brother, Kyle.

"Hey kiddo, on my last trip l got you this from Egypt, l think you're really going to love it." As Kyle said this he pulled a package out of his pocket, it was a puzzle, identical to the one Yugi was receiving, half way around the world, except for the colouring.
