Category: PWP? Kinda... Definitely Adventure, a little angst and some romance somewhere mixed in between.
Rating: NC-17 (not yet, but soon)
Pairings: Seto Kaiba/Jounouchi Katsuya (Joey), others
Type/Warnings: Yaoi, PWP, some angst, later: tentacles. o.o; A first for me... and uh... sex. *nods* That's all I can think of right now. I may update this later when I have more of this baby together.
Status: Multi-Part
Spoilers: Just for the Legendary Heroes Arc. I'm using Kaibas game for my purposes. *evil grin*
Summary: My specialty: PWPs with a plot that binds them together. ^^; Seto finally finished his VR Game and the gang is asked to do a final test run. Little do they know though about the little quirks Kaiba has prepared for them.
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! I don't even own Yugi's starter deck. I do own Joey's and Kaiba's starter decks though and a few other cards. ^^; But that's all. Oh, and I own a Red Eyes Black Dragon Keychain. *nods*
Notes&Comments: Ah yeah... I hope you do not expect me to write something like a well-thought-out plot here... I'm just letting things happen as they happen, making up a red line that binds together a few mental images I want to get rid off... including one that came from watching one too many tentacle-hentais. ><! But that will come not so soon. ^^;; First other things.

Jounouchi Katsuya knew it was a bad idea from the start. But Yugi had said, "Hey, it'll be fun! Plus we'll be the first to test the new part of Kaiba Land, and THAT would be a great opportunity to waste!"

Adding to that was the fact that this arrogant prick of a CEO had smirked at him when Mokuba asked them to come and said, "Well mutt, you'll never be able to make it past the first level." Thus his anger had risen and his interest was peaked, making him follow the small spike-haired boy as well as Honda, Otogi, Bakura and Anzu into what he thought was worse than doom in hell. Hell that was also known as Virtual Reality.

Last time he had been put into something very ridiculous and he was quite sure that this would happen again any time... and if he didn't have to wear it, then he would have to eat it or do it or whatever Kaiba's sick sad and sadistic mind came up with for him.

So there he stood, a simple doorway leading to a room with 10 almost claustrophobic pods, taking a glimpse at the cold brunet who was giving his brother a few last instructions. Since that last incident the CEO didn't trust anybody but Mokuba and somehow... Jou was glad about that fact. He liked the little imp; he was much nicer and more open that his older brother, actually caring about people.

"Hello Kaiba, Mokuba-kun," Yugi greeted the brothers with a small smile, being the nice boy he always was while Jou and Honda both glared at the taller of the pair out of their own reasons, the rest of the group looking at the CEO rather neutrally. Kaiba simply smirked back at them.

"I'm glad you were able to make it in time... even though you had to take care of that mutt," he said coldly, with only a hint of humor edging his voice.

The blond thought his ears betrayed him. He hadn't even had the chance to say a word and Kaiba was already making fun of him? "Hey! I ain't seeing no mutt around 'ere, moneybags! Ya havta be talkin' 'bout yerself!" {1}

"Well, I can hear one barking very loudly right now," Kaiba gave back, still smirking.

'If I didn't know any better, I'd say that guy enjoys us fighting about these things,' Jounouchi thought to himself as he growled just like the dog he refused to be called.

Otogi stepped in, hand on his hip and said in a slightly annoyed tone, "Guys, could you please delay the fighting until we're IN the game? I didn't come here to see you fight like an old couple."

Jounouchi blushed at that exclamation and turned around to focus his anger on the dice boy. "We're NOT an old couple!"

"Oh, but you are behaving like one," the green-eyed boy practically purred while his lips curled up into a slightly sadistic grin. "Always fighting and bantering... I barely know you, but somehow I found you two endearingly cute," he explained while he twirled one of his wild strands around his index finger.

This managed to make Jounouchi blush even harder than before. "Don't you DARE to call me and Kaiba cute! Ever! Especially not together! Grah!" he exclaimed, close to hysterics.

"Oh, but look at how cute you two really are. The puppy defending his master..."

"Otogi, that's enough!" Kaiba barked back at the almost sickeningly sweet voice of the green-eyed boy. "I can always make you leave if you decide to find pleasure in pissing your host off."

But the other either wasn't intimidated by that or just didn't show it as he continued to play with that loose strand of his hair. "Well, we're here to do the final test for your virtual reality game. I'm quite a busy man myself and I would love to see that we are getting inside now, without further foreplay between you and the mutt."

'Why is everybody talking about me as if I'm not a person? And WHAT the hell does dice boy think he's talking about?!' Jounouchi screamed in his head as he blushed furiously. But he was a little relieved and surprised to see that Kaiba wasn't exactly comfortable with Otogi's suggestions either. And he was glad that he wasn't at the receiving end of the tall brunet's anger this time as well.

"Listen... Dice boy..." Kaiba practically spat out, towering over the smaller game inventor, "if it were for me then only Yugi and I would be testing this game as we are the most advanced players of Duel Monsters here. But my little brother wanted me to be ~nice~ so I invited the rest of you as well. Thus I suggest you better behave a little or I might get down to kicking your tiny ass out by myself."

Somehow Kaiba was irritated by the fact that Otogi still kept grinning, showing no sign that anything of what he just said had made an impact on him. He searched those big green eyes for a moment, looking slightly irritated as he didn't find what he was looking for and then turned around quite rashly, his coat rustling behind him. "Besides we're still missing one person..."

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it faster. There was some guy who refused to let me in, Kaiba-san," Mai Valentine purred in her usual arrogant tone, grinning and waving her hello, since she just came through the door.

Jounouchi groaned in frustration. First Kaiba, then Otogi and now Mai... Life was really unfair to him. He idly wondered what he had done to anger the deities above so that he had to suffer through all of this.

"Mai! What are you doing here?" Anzu asked, just as surprised as everybody else... well, besides the Kaiba-brothers, that is.

"Ne, they asked whether I'd like to do another round of this little game before it's released and when I heard that you all are coming as well... I thought I couldn't let THAT opportunity slip through my grip," she said, smiling sweetly at first Jounouchi and then the dark-haired girl who started to pout just at that moment.

Mokuba nodded. "Yes, we asked her and you all to go through this game as you already have a fairly good idea what it's like. Seto didn't want to bother with explaining the basics to anybody new. Also you are experienced with dueling in Virtual Reality..."

"But Anzu and I didn't go with Yugi and Jounouchi the last time!" Honda protested. "Just like Bakura and Otogi!"

"Right, pointy hair," Otogi said. "But it's always good to shove your masterpiece into your rivals' face."

"You are not worthy to call yourself my rival," Kaiba stated coolly, composing himself despite the fact that he wanted to smack the dice boy square over his head. Then he turned to the group, starting to explain the rules to everyone. "This time the objective will not be to save the princess..." He glared at Jounouchi who had just started snickering at that, "but to find the rest of your group in the shortest time possible. Or you can defeat everyone and be the ruler of that world, but then you would have to face the ones who actually got together as a group."

"So it's more about tactics this time?"

"Exactly, Yugi. You shall play your cards wisely in this game or you might lose all that you got."

"Hah! That guy, who wants to fight against the group; that sounds awfully like you, moneybags!" Jou snickered and received a glare from the CEO.

"You will also notice that your monsters will have their own personality this time," Mokuba said quickly, to prevent any more bantering from his brother and the blond.

"What?!" He was almost blown away by the sheer force of incredulous shouts. "How so?"

"Seto created a base personality for each monster that will be modified by your own brainwaves while you are in the game," the raven-haired boy explained. "No monster will be the same as the other. Plus they won't disappear once your duel is over..." He stopped as he noticed that nobody was listening to him anymore.

"Hey, that's cool! I can talk to my Black Magician!" Yugi exclaimed, beaming happily.

Anzu on the other hand grinned almost evilly at Mai. "I bet your Harpies will be bitch fighting, ignoring you and your commands to fight against anything."

"Hah! That's what you think, honey. My Harpies are well-trained... But maybe you want to experience it yourself? I think we can arrange that." Draping an arm around the smaller girl, she squeezed her close to her body.

If Mokuba hadn't known any better he would have said that the two young women were flirting - in a sick kind of way - and gawked at the pair as Anzu blushed, forgotten that he wasn't completely over with explaining the new rules. Seto looked down at his brother and shook his head in dismay. "Mokuba, stop staring," he hissed in a barely audible tone.

"Huh? Oh." The raven-haired boy blushed and cast his eyes down on the floor and mumbled, "Sorry."

The tall CEO waited for a moment, letting the other duelists cheer and wonder over his invention, a small satisfied grin making its way onto his features without him really being able to control it, before he said smoothly, "Are you finished gossiping? Well, then get into your pods so we can start the game. You will all be dropped off at a random place," he added as an afterthought. "So don't be scared if you're the only one around."

"Scared? Who? Me? Hah! I was second ranked in the Kingdom of Duelists! Jounouchi Katsuya cannot be scared cuz he's all alone in a deep dark forest... with probably thousands of monsters to attack..."

During his speech, that he started so self-consciously the blond had become paler and paler, while his boastings reduced to an almost feared-sounding whisper. His cheeks reddened as Kaiba snorted almost amusedly. "A dog so scared that he drew in his tail. Jounouchi that's too funny, even for you."

"Arrogant prick!" the blond growled. He was about to lash at the brunet, when he could see - no, almost hear - how his friends groaned in annoyance. For good measure he sent them a glare before he crossed his arms over his chest and started to pout. "Alright, I get it. Just let us get over with this as fast as possible."

The others nodded and found themselves each a pod they climbed into, feeding their decks into the machine. Mokuba made sure that everything worked just fine and then handed the controls over to his brother.

"Thank you, Mokuba."

Then the CEO lay down in his own pod, smirking to himself. 'Well, let's see how much fun we can coax out of this.'

To be continued...

Uh yes. When I started writing I didn't plan that Kaiba and Otogi would fight like that. o.o; But I finally found out why. ^-^ I explained it for myself, and I might explain it to you in the next chapter, but if you have any more ideas (besides the obvious that they are rivals in the game inventing area) please feel free to tell me about it. ^_^ But it would be nice if you dropped me a review anyways.

*waves* Ja ne!
