"Surprised?" Kaiba asked, sounding amused.

"This place is huge!" Selena exclaimed.

"Wait til' you see the inside," Kaiba remarked.

Selena all of a sudden remembered something. "Why did you pick me up late?" she demanded.

"I had a meeting," Kaiba replied shortly.

"Oh."

Kaiba's limo stopped outside the mansion, and Selena stepped out.

"Whoa," she remarked.

"Mokuba!" Kaba called inside.

"What?" a voice answered.

"Come meet your cousin, Selena!"

"Coming!"

Within seconds, a young boy appeared in the doorway. "I'm Mokuba," he said brightly. "And you're Selena, right?"

Selena nodded. Mokuba sounded friendly enough. "Nice to meet you," she said, smiling at Mokuba.

"Yea-"

Kaiba interrupted them. "Mokuba, go and show Selena her room."

"Why can't you do it?" Mokuba demanded.

"I've got to work."

"Fine. But you work too much," Mokuba grumbled.

"Hmph. That's because I have to run a business," Kaiba said smugly.

"Um... maybe I should find my way to my own room," Selena said awkwardly.

"I'll take you up," Mokuba said. "I have to." He looked around for Selena's bags. "Where's your stuff?" he asked, as though this was the most important question on earth.

"I only brought my backpack," Selena replied.

"Okay," Mokuba said. "Follow me!!!" he yelled gleefully, sprinting up the steps.

Selena followed Mokuba up the stairs, too afraid to touch anything. Mokuba saw her nervousness and grinned.

"Don't worry," he laughed. "This is your home too now. You don't have to be afraid."

Selena found comforted by these words, somehow.

As Mokuba led her to a fancy gilded door, Selena stopped. Mokuba turned around.

"What's up?" he asked.

"Nothing, she muttered.

Mokuba opened the door. "This is your room" he said.

Selena walked in to the humongous room. "You mean this is MY room?"

Mokuba laughed at her shock. "Of course it is!"

"Whoa," she said, gaping at the sides.

"It's a little bit bland, but I know you'll make the most of it."

"Yeah… it is, isn't it?" Selena asked. She walked over to the wall. "You think I can paint these walls?"

"You a good artist?"

"I'm okay, I guess."

"Any samples you can show me?"

"Um… yeah." Selena pulled out a sketchbook from her backpack and opened it to a page with a picture of a Blue Eyes White Dragon on it.

"Whoa," Mokuba said. "That's good."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I think that if you painted these walls, it would look awesome!"

"Thanks."

"Hold on… I forgot something…"

He walked over to the dresser and pulled out some sort of a uniform. "This is your Domino High uniform. Seto said that tomorrow's your first day. It's a little soon, but..."

"Thanks Mokuba," Selena smiled gratefully.

That night, Selena tossed and turned. It was one of those beds that was too comfortable. Clearly saying, no, screaming, FILTHY RICH! Selena sighed. How was she going to get to sleep?

Meira: I know this is a short chapter, but what'd you guys think?

GLIB: Feh... It was alright... Can you tell me now?

Meira: *whines* But I wanna threaten Kaiba with it...

GLIB: You could just tell me and I won't tell! ^-^

Meira: Okay. Kaiba-

Kaiba: *clamps hand over Meira's mouth* NO!!!

GLIB: *Mallet in hand ready to hit Kaiba* I'm going to find out... and if I don't... you know what's gonna happen!

Meira: *whispers in GLIB's ear* When Kaiba-

Kaiba: *drags Meira away by ear* *threateningly* If you tell...

Meira: *To GLIB* Maybe next chapter...

GLIB: *sigh* WAH!!!

Meira: -.-

Yami: What's with the painting thing?

Meira: Oh… you'll find out. It's an important part in a later chapter.

Yami: And that would be…

Meira: I'll ruin the story if I tell you.

Yami: Fine…
