Meira: Chapter 16! Yami's Crush.

Yami: I have a crush?
Meira: Yup.

Yami: On who?

Meira: GLIB.

Yami: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Meira: Don't worry… it's not her. But you'll find out who.

GLIB: Yeah you will. *sighs* Why does Seto have to work so much? I miss him.

Yami: So you call him Seto now?

GLIB: Yup.

Meira: Kaiba's in this chapter.

GLIB: I know… but he's not here right now.

Meira: Just say the disclaimer…

Joey: Meira don't own nuttin'. Only Selena.

Meira: And the Fairies!

Joey: Yup.

Selena marched through the door of the Kame Game Shop to see Yami holding her deck.

"What're you doing here?" Yami asked nastily. "Come looking for some free cards?"

"What're you holding my deck for?" Selena snapped. Yami just had to make this hard. "Looking for some cards to help your pitiful deck?"

Yami went red. Selena marched up to him and held out her hand.

"What?" Yami asked.

"My deck," Selena demanded. Yami put it into her hand. Selena rifled through it to find that all of the cards were still here. Good. She turned around, ready to leave.

"You know, Yugi and I were just talking about your deck," Yami said slowly. "I thought that it would be a powerful deck, if you learned to use it properly.

Selena stopped and turned around. "You really think so?" she asked, smiling slightly at him.

"Yeah," he answered. "But in order for you to do that, first you need to find a tutor."

"Will you teach me?" Selena asked shyly. [Meira: Is she intimidated?]

"Why don't you ask Kaiba?" Yami replied, smirking.

Selena fumed. How annoying could this guy get? "Fine!" she snapped, before she saw that Yami was laughing.

"Don't worry," he grinned. "I would NEVER send any girl to Kaiba, no matter how annoying or irritating."

"Are you calling me annoying and irritating?" Selena asked mockingly, tilting her head to one side. She squinted her eyes, as if trying to see right through him. Yami couldn't help laughing. So she did have a funny side. Not like the annoying and serious Kaiba. He smiled.

"No," he protested. Selena giggled, then smiled. "I'm calling you annoying and irritating."

Selena pretended to fume, putting her hands on her hips. Yami was sort of cute, in his own way. She had to hand it to him

She smiled at him, and turned to leave.

[Meira: This is inside Yugi's soul room, after Selena left.]

Yugi looked over at Yami, who was staring at a picture of Selena in his hands. Yugi smiled. Yami had a crush on Selena. And he had only met her today. He walked over to Yami.

"You like her, don't you?" Yugi asked teasingly. Yami snapped his head up and stuffed the picture of Selena into his pocket.

"I don't!" Yami protested, blushing.

"Of course you don't," Yugi said carelessly. Yami breathed a sigh of relief. "You love her!" Yami glared at Yugi.

Yugi laughed. Teasing Yami about Selena was fun.

"How could you NOT like her?" Yugi laughed. "She's pretty, attractive, daring, smart, loyal, dangerous," he said, exaggerating some of Selena's traits. "I thought 5,000 year old Pharaohs liked that kind of girl!"

Yami glared at Yugi. "The first thing I like about girls is that they AREN'T annoying. I don't think Selena qualifies," Yami said shortly.

"Awww," Yugi said, puckering up his lips as if to kiss the air. "But you love her so much…"

Yami stood up and stormed out of Yugi's soul room, muttering something about lousy Hikaris.

Yugi smiled. Teasing people was fun… Maybe he should do it more often.

[Meira: Back to Selena. K-I-M: Why do you keep switching between Meira and Yami/Yugi? Meira: To inform the readers of more.]

Selena walked into Kaiba's mansion, humming. Kaiba glanced up from his laptop.

"So you're finally here," Kaiba said, amused. "It's 7 o' clock, and I asked you to be home at, about, 5?'

"Sorry," Selena said carelessly, flopping down in the chair next to Kaiba. "I stayed out longer than I planned."

"And where exactly did you go?" Kaiba asked, still amused. "The mall, clothes stores, card shops, alleys, drug dealer homes??

Selena could have killed Kaiba with the look that she gave him. "No, I went to Yugi's house," she said coolly.

Kaiba jumped up in rage. "You did WHAT?" he yelled. Mokuba ran down the stairs, having heard Kaiba's yell.

Mokuba looked from Kaiba to Selena. "What's wrong?" he asked, looking at Kaiba's look of pure fury. "It's Selena's second day here and you're mad at her already?"

"Stay out of this, Mokuba," Kaiba growled.

Selena stood up. "Well, I'm going to do my homework."

"You stay right there," Kaiba seethed. Selena looked coldly at him. "I take you in, and THIS is how you treat me?"

"I'm sorry that I made some new friends," Selena said sarcastically. "And sorry that one of them includes Yugi Mutou." Kaiba was practically bursting with anger now. Why did have to make this so hard for me? He was now wishing that he'd never met this cousin. But if he turned her away, what would people think of him?

He saw Selena look straight into his eyes, and hers softened.

"Seto," she whispered. "I'm sorry. But it's hard to choose friends when you're new in town. I trust Yugi. He's the first person I met here in Domino. He even volunteered to teach me to duel. I can't just turn my back o him."

Kaiba glared at her. "So this means you can turn your back on me?"

Selena glared at him, fire in here eyes. "I'm not turning my back on you," Selena said, struggling to keep her voice steady. "I just made a few new friends that you don't like."

Mokuba walked up to Kaiba and tugged at his hand. "Seto. You can't stop Selena from being friends with Yugi."

Kaiba stormed off, fuming. Selena collapsed in her chair. Mokuba sat down next to her. "Don't worry. Seto is often like this when it comes to Yugi. Ever since Yugi handed him his first defeat, Seto's held a grudge against him. Then Yugi crushed Seto in a humiliating defeat in Battle City, Seto's hated him." Selena smiled weakly at Mokuba.

"I understand," she said. She glanced over at Kaiba's laptop. There was a design for what looked like an amusement park there. "What's this?" she asked, pointing to it.

"Plans for Kaiba land," Mokuba said carelessly. He suddenly looked furious with himself. "But don't tell anyone," he said, looking around. "It's top secret." Selena nodded.

"You duel?" She asked suddenly. [Meira: How ooc…] Mokuba raised an eyebrow.

"Is this a challenge?" he asked.

"No," Selena replied. "I just wanted to see if you had a deck." Mokuba shook his head.

"No, I don't have a deck," he said. "But I can still beat you any day!" Selena laughed.

"We'll find that out after I learn how to duel!"

"Deal!"

Meira: What'd you guys think?

Yami: I have a crush on Selena?

Meira: Yup.

Yami: Do I get to kiss her?

Meira: -.-` Don't remind me… Depends.

GLIB: Don't wanna know…

Kaiba: I'm back!

GLIB: *runs up to him and gives him a hug* Finally. You need a day off for once.

Kaiba: Yeah…

Yami: Wait! Why is Yugi teasing me?

Meira: Dunno. I had to have somebody besides Selena insult you.

Yami: What about Kaiba or Yami Bakura?

Meira: Nah. It's funnier when Yugi does it.

Yami: -.-` So when's this story going to get better?

Meira: Next chapter.

Yami: But you put this under Angst. There's not much Angst here. What's up with that.

Meira: Stop asking so many questions!

Yami: Please tell me…

Meira: Fine… There's angst in later chapters. Happy?

Yami: Yup.

Meira: *mutters* Make me give away too much of the story…

Yami: …

Meira: GLIB has been complaining that whenever I decide to rewrite my chapters, her mailbox is loaded with auto notifies. So if anybody gets a million auto notifies from me, I'm sorry. I'll try to keep them to a minimum from now on.
