Darkness was my only fear. I couldn't take it no more, I had to be free! But, alas, I was given orders to stay here...until I felt that my time to rise was imminent. Training. Runing. Learning Different Types of Arts, while living in this darkness...this only craved my hunger for freedom. My father was leaving me to this obscure darkness. He walked up the staircase, and opened the doors, shedding light into these tunnels. I flinched at the sun's brightness and shielded myself.
"Do you understand the task at hand?" my father asked without looking at me.
"Yes..." I said reluctantly. But a spark of determination lit up from within me. "But why can't I go with you? Out into the world?" He scoffed in his usual cold-hearted manner.
"You know that the time for you to leave from here will be soon...you must improve your skill." I didn't want to question his authority, he was more powerful than me by far. Clutching his Milennium Rod, he wrapped himself in a cloak and walked off. I shut the doors of the hollow tomb, entering the darkness once again.
I will become stronger , I thought as I walked into the darkness. Instinctively, I found my room and picked up the last torch that I had. Lighting it, I walked off into the winding tomb. At least now, I know I can explore the ancient chambers. My father usually forbid me from going inside the chambers, but now that he was gone, this gave me all the chance to see what was so special about this place. I entered, and looked upon the walls. The hyroglyphs read down the walls, but I placed my attention on the center of the room. A great stone slab stood there. I read over it's hyroglyphs and saw two men over a fire...a man with spiky hair and another with a seemingly cold look. That spiky hair...he must be the pharoh... My eyes trailed over to three other slabs, which had the pictures of monsters. These must be the Gods that my father mentioned. I scoffed at the idea of how any of these beast were powerful.
"THIS is supposed to be the secret that my father was hiding from me?" I touched it's stone surface lightly. As soon as my fingers contacted the slab, I felt a feeling rush over me...a feeling of power. Then I saw the beasts come out at me. I stood back, overwhelmed by their appearances. My torch fell out of my hand as I walked backwards. The creatures stopped advancing towards me...and went into what looked like a kneeling position...they were bowing to me . But why? Flashes of Egyptian caligraphy went though my mind...it was too fast...but I understood all too clearly...I finally understood my meaning...I am the heir of the God Cards....
