Yami's POV
I collapsed on my bed. : Man that girl is heavy. : I thought. I look down at the boy on my stomach. I had forgotten that he was there because he was so light. It's amazing how much he looks like me.
I slip off my shoes and roll over placing the little boy by my side. : He looks so peaceful lying there. : I can't help, but feel like I'm supposed to protect him. He stirs slightly when I get near him. Making sure he is still asleep before I put my arm over him.
"I will protect you my hikari." I say to him even though I know he can't hear me. : Hikari what the perfect name for him. : I think before I drift off into my sleep.

Yugi's POV
I wake up to a really bad headache. Okay, what happened again? Oh yeah the guy that looks like Ryou knocked us out. I sit up slightly so that I can look around me.
I'm in a very nice room. It's covered in jewels and rubies. And I am sitting in a four poster bed with someone.....wait. I look down to see another version of me.
"Eeep!" I jump and fall out of the bed as does my counterpart. I must have scared him. I hear an "oof" as he hits the floor. When I stand up he gets up too rubbing his head.
"Ow. Jeeze that hurt." he says, but I'm not really listening.
"Y-y-you look just like m-m-m-m-me." I stutter. I must sound really stupid.
"Yeah it's amazing isn't it?" he tells me. "What's your name little one?"
Little one? I'm not that little, am I? That is a cute nick name though. I feel a blush hit my cheeks.
"Yu-yugi." I manage to say.

Yami's POV
Yugi. That's a nice name. It sounds familiar somehow though. Oh well.
"I am Yami." I tell him.
"Why do you look like me?" he asks.
"To tell you the truth I really don't know." I see Yugi blush again. That is so Kawaii. I look at his head and see a big bump. "You have a nasty bump right there. Bakura must have hit you to hard."
"Is Bakura the one who looks like Ryou?" he asks. I don't know. I don't even know which one Ryou is.
"Um. Does he have long white hair and creamy brown eyes that are slanted?" Yugi nods. "Yeah he's the one then." I walk over to him and lightly touch the bump. He cries out and grabs his head. Yep Bakura hit way to hard.
"Let me get you some ice hang on." I need to find some fast before the swelling goes up any farther.

Yugi's POV
Yami. He seems really nice. He touches the bump on my head. I cry out. Oh my gosh that hurts!
"Let me get you some ice hang on." He walks out to go get some ice for my head. I sit down on the four poster bed. I can't help, but feel protected when I'm near him. Now that he's gone I feel a little uneasy like something will jump out at me in any minute.
"I'm such a wuss." I say to no one. "Why do I have to be so weak...."
"I don't think your weak." says a voice from behind me making me jump. "Sorry if I scared you." says Yami. He puts the ice on top of my head. It hurts for a few seconds and then goes numb so I can't feel it any more.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome."
"Where am I?" I ask as an after thought.
"You are in the pirate ship "The Ra"" he tells me. My eyes widen. "The Ra"? I've heard of that ship before. In a book I think. I tell Yami this. He laughs. "Yes we are infamous." he tells me.
"You don't seem like a pirate. Are you part of the crew?"
"Yes. I am first mate to Captain Marik." he sticks his tongue out at the end. "He can be an idiot at times, but he really is a good captain. Maybe now he'll not flirt with me."
"Why?"
"Because he seems to have taken a liking to your friend. The one with tan skin."
"Oh. Malik?"
"Yes. He's always either flirting with me or teasing me. I find it pretty fun actually." I laugh and then yawn. I'm tired again.
"Go to sleep my hikari. I won't let anything happen to you." he tells me.
"Thank you." I say before I fall asleep in his arms.

Yami's POV
That's right my hikari. I won't let anything happen to you. I will protect you forever. I brush his yellow bangs out of his face and go to sleep myself.
