Later on the four hit rock bottom and are exhausted so they rest.

Some little pixie things look out from a rock and sees them, "uh-oh! Humans!"

"how'd they get here?"

"guess Seto didn't do a good job... he's not gonna like this...” the three little pixies fly away to see a large contraption made out of twigs and leaves.

A tan and important looking pixie with fine silk clothing was looking at it, "now Seto... you sure this will work?"

 

"Yes, I'm sure!" Seto grunts as he pulls on some twigs. "When I get...... this pole.... up here... I'll be finished!"

 

The pixie, Atemu, looks a bit uncertain, but then all of a sudden the contraption collapses, "Ah!" Atemu yells, then tries to put it back up, but the whole thing collapses....

 

Seto starts fuming. "BLAST IT ALL! This stupid thing isn't worth crap!" He kicks at another twig which then falls right on top of him. "BLAST!"

 

Unknown to them, they were being watched by Ryou, Yami, Anzu and Jou. Anzu giggles, "Aren't you all darling!" she goes over and picks the stick up and off of Seto. Atemu turns around, really surprised, "Oh, uh, hello. I'm King Atemu of the Fair Folk and this is..." Atemu was cut off by his grumpy, hot-tempered, sharp-witted servant

 

"How the heck did they get in here!?" Seto yells, just as a random twig falls right on his head, a string of curses following.

 

Atemu looks over to Seto, "I thought I had told you to fix the whirlpool!!"

 

"I DID fix it! It was PERFECT!! Somebody must have screwed it up!" He yelled as he rubbed his head.

 

"Well apparently not completely perfect! It was supposed to keep them OUT!" Atemu looks back to the humans and smiles friendly, "um, can I be of any service?"

 

Seto growls, "Yeah, act like everything's my fault! Guess it's my fault the kid is here too!!" He scowls and turns back toward the pile of twigs angrily.

Yami looks over at Seto. "A kid? Does he look a lot like me?" Seto shrugs.

"I dunno. Maybe."

 

Atemu glares at Seto, "Seto! Show some respect" he floats up and gets a closer look to Yami, "hmm... yes, he does look a lot like you. Do you know him?"

 

Yami backs up a bit from how close Atemu is to him. "Uh, yes. I think it's my brother. I lost him a little while ago." His shoulders sag slightly at the thought.

"Shows what a good brother you are!" Seto yells as he starts picking up some twigs.

 

Atemu is getting kinda frustrated by Seto's attitude, "Seto, could you go get the boy?"

 

Seto mocks him in a squeaky voice but goes off down into the cave anyway, grumbling endlessly.

 

Ryou smiles nervously. "He certainly seems like a cheerful fellow."

 

Yami stares at Ryou with a 'shut up" kind of look.

 

After a short while, Yugi walks down the pathway and was looking around, not knowing what he was doing, but then sees Yami and he smiles, "BROTHER!" He cries happily, then he runs over and tackles Yami in a hug.

 

"Oh, Yugi!!" Yami cries out happily, accepting Yugi's hug with gratitude. He looks at Yugi. "Are you all right?"

"Of course he's all right! He's been living off of our food for the past week!" Seto grumbles.

 

Anzu looks to Yugi, "ah, this is the Yugi I've heard so much about" Yugi hears her and looks to her, he wonders whom she is because she was with Yami. Yugi goes over to Anzu and waves, Anzu smiles and kneels down to his level, "hello there, my names Anzu"

Yugi hears her name and repeats it, "An...z.. u? Anzu?"

Anzu nods, "that's right! Can you say your name?"

Yugi thinks about that, then smiles and points to himself, copying a past nickname, "whiner!"

Anzu gets really confused and looks to Yami, "why would he call himself a whiner?"

 

Yami blinks and then laughs nervously. "Uh, I-I dunno. Maybe from one of those nasty neighbor kids. Heh."

 

Yugi smiles and goes over to Ryou, he doesn't quite look Ryou in the eyes yet for he is fascinated with his harp, he plucks a note and giggles and the sound.

Yugi then looks up and finally meets Ryou in the eye. Recognizing his looks from Thief King Bakura, Yugi takes a few steps back in fear, then runs over and hides behind Yami, trembling.

 

Yami looks at Ryou, then back at Yugi. "Oh! Yugi, it's ok. This isn't the Thief King. It's his brother. He's a good guy. ^^" Ryou gives two thumbs up, smiling at Yugi.

 

Yugi didn't quite believe him just yet, he comes out from behind Yami and goes back over to Ryou; he circles Ryou, still wondering. Yugi plucks another note on his harp, then smiles; he realizes this wasn't the king but the resemblance of him.

It was then Yugi turned his attention to Jou, who has puzzled him greatly because he's never seen a creature like him before.

 

Jou stares back at Yugi and starts ruffling his hair roughly. "Big hair! Like friend!" He smiles and keeps ruffling the little one's hair.

 

Yugi was quite confused why Jou was doing this, but in wanting to understand he copies Jou's motives by ruffling Jou's hair. After a while he finally speaks, "who... you?"

 

"Me Jounouchi. ^^" He stops ruffling Yugi's hair and starts patting him all over his clothes. "Munchings or crunchings for Jou?" He lifts up Yugi's shirt.

"Hey!" Yami pushes Jou away from Yugi and pulls the child's shirt down. He then glares at Jou, he simply smiles timidly.

 

Yugi was now extremely confused, he looks to Yami and notices he's no wearing the puzzle, he puts his hand against Yami's chest and makes the outline of the puzzle against his chest, as if asking 'where's the puzzle?'

 

Yami looks to Yugi ad blinks, blinking a bit in shame. "Uh ... He took it." He looked away. "Sorry, little 'bro."

 

Yugi's hair droops slightly as he hears this, and sets his head against Yami's shoulder, he looked a tad upset. But it wasn't about the puzzle.

Anzu sees Yugi and looks concerned, "what's wrong with Yugi?"

 

Yami furrows his eyebrows, saddened. "Probably sad 'cause I lost the puzzle." He closes his eyes, shame and guilt washing over him. Ryou blinks sadly and Jou scratches the back of his head nervously.

 

Yugi shakes his head, notifying that wasn't it.

Anzu sees this, "seems not...”

 

Yami looks at Yugi, trying to search his eyes for the answer as he asks, "Then, what's wrong?"

 

Yugi's eyes was shiny with tears, he looks to Ryou, "he... close... to goal." He was looking to Ryou when Yugi said 'he' because Yugi was talking about Bakura, and since Ryou was the closest resemblance, he looked to him

 

Ryou looks down slightly. Yami looked up to Ryou, then to Yugi. "Yeah, I was." He gave a weak smile. "But it's okay now. You're safe."

Jou looks between Yugi, Yami and Ryou, and then gives a little whimper. "Maybe ... Maybe Jou help get king. Help friend!"

 

Yami looks up, raising an eyebrow. "Since when did you get a backbone?"

 

Jou looks down slightly at this remark. "Jou just want to help his friend ...."

 

Yugi looks over to Atemu whom was watching this fiasco, makes an outline of the eye of Horus in the air and holds up 7 fingers.

Atemu gets the question, "ah the millennium items... you want to know how many Bakura have?"

Yugi nods vigorously, happy Atemu understood him

Atemu thinks, "well... since he has the puzzle... that means he has six"

Yugi looks back to Yami and corrects his last statement, "v-very... close... to goal"

 

Yami sighs. "But we don't even know what the last millennium item is. How can we find something when we have no idea where it is?"

 

Atemu looks to them, "well... actually... I do know where the millennium eye is..."

 

Anzu looks to him and smiles, "you do?"

 

Atemu nods, still thinking, "yes yes, I believe its in Morva... can't remember...” he calls out to Seto, "Seto! Is the eye in Morva?"

 

"How the heck should I know!? I DON'T!" There's a loud clatter and then another string of curses.

 

Atemu sighs in hearing this, sweat dropping, "I don't get why I still keep him in his current position with that attitude" He looks back to them, "but... I do believe the eye is in Morva"

By hearing this news, Yugi smiles, looking to Yami with a plan that he cant be able to say with his limited vocab.

 

Yami smiles, then stops. "Wait, but how can we get there?" Looks back down at Yugi.

 

Atemu smiles at an idea of an opportunity to get Seto out of his hair for some time, "well, Seto can take you there"

 

"WHAT!?" Seto screams from down the cave hallway. He zooms into where Atemu and the rest are and gets right into Atemu's face. "I ain't showing anyone anyplace! Especially since I gotta REDO the whole freaking whirlpool!"

 

Atemu pushes Seto out of his face, "do NOT yell at your superior that way! You are my SERVANT and you are to do as you're TOLD! IS THAT CLEAR?!?"

 

Seto grumbles to himself and crosses his arm. "Nice way to treat your cousin. Jerk-off" He mumbles under his breath.

 

Atemu's eye twitches, "I heard that...” now Atemu was getting more angry with him, "THATS KING JERK-OFF TO YOU! YOU MAY BE MY COUSIN BUT I AM STILL THE KING OF THESE PEOPLE AND THAT INCLUDES YOU! YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY I EVEN LET YOU IN THIS POSITION!"

 

Seto raises his hand and makes a talking hand gesture. "Blah, blah, blah, blah."

"Okay! That's enough! We're kinda short on time, so can we just get on with this?" Ryou quickly cut in before anything worse could happen.

Atemu looks to the others and gives a smile, "you're right, I'm sorry" He grabs Seto by the shoulders and punts him over to the others, "LEAD THEM TO MORVA OR I WONT HESITATE TO CHOP OF YOUR HEAD! COUSIN OR NOT!"

 

Seto grumbles and mumbles angrily. "Fine." He says while rolling his eyes.

 

Atemu smiles, "finally." Atemu looks to them, "you all must hurry... Bakura will stop at nothing to find the eye" Atemu whistles and a bunch of the Fair Folk appears from which ever where they are, Atemu looks to them, "ok my people, we have to get these four back to the surface!" The fair folk all turn into blue sparkles and starts circling around Anzu, Yami, Ryou and Jou. and they start floating.

Worried greatly, Yugi didn't want to let go of Yami's hand, not wanting to be separated again.

 

Yami refuses to let go of Yugi's hand. "Ah! Wait! What about Yugi!?"

 

Atemu floats over to Yugi, "If Yugi returned to the surface, Bakura might find him, and with that they'll find the last item. And you need to consider your brothers safety. But don't worry; we'll get Yugi back to his home safely...” He looks to Yugi, "Yugi... let go...”

Yugi looks to the little pixie, tears streaming, he shakes his head and looks back to Yami, "n-no..."

 

Yami gulps. "Its okay, Yugi. I don't want the Thief King to get you. You'll be safer down here." He smiles. "I promise, I'll come home with a story to tell." He begins loosening his grip a bit.

 

Yugi's tears increase by the loosening of the grip; he uses both of his hands to hold onto Yami, "no... d-don't... g-go... brother...”

 

Yami's eyes sadden. "Yugi. Please. If I don't defeat Bakura, no one will. Let me make up for all of those times I was mean to you, the times I lost you.... Believe in me? Please?"

 

Yugi gulps and sniffs, "be... with me... soon?" he asks, repeating what he had said before when they escaped the Thief King's castle.

 

Yami smiles slightly. "I promise. I will do everything within my power to make sure we'll be back together soon."

 

Yugi copies Yami's smile, and repeats a phrase he heard Yami tell Suguroku before they left the cottage, "You... can do it."

and with that, he lets go of his grip on Yami and falls back down to the ground, and waves goodbye to them, tears still visible and falling on Yugi's cheeks

 

Yami smiles broadly. "I can do it! I WILL do it, Yugi!" He gives one final wave as they disappear out of sight.

 

Yugi sets down his hand after they disappear, then looks down and starts to cry, sad that Yami is gone again.

Atemu looks at Yugi with soft eyes and puts his small hand on Yugi's cheek, "Yugi... please stop crying"

Yugi looks to him, "brother... gone.."

"yes yes I know, but he can do it you said it yourself. Now, let's get you home." Atemu says, trying to calm Yugi down.

Yugi looks back up where they left, "brother... will do it." he looks to Atemu and nod and so Yugi and Atemu walked down the pathway of the cave
