+Disclaimer: I dun own Yu-Gi-Oh, but be cool to!
Beautiful Kyoto. A city of great beauty, where people could live freely. Where the night lights blended with the good-natured honesty of the irritating tourists. Most of the natives hated the tourists and their stupid smiles and dorky fascination with the mundane things the natives see everyday. If it wasn't for the huge profits they raked in, the tourists would be loathed by all. At night, the city was a field of lights that were best seen at the rugged hills of Kyoto on the northern side. It is here that the story takes place.
The loud music thumped through the ear canals of the waiter. The sound of countless people dancing and the smell of sweat filled the alcohol thick air. The waiter sat behind the bar, cleaning the same glass repeatedly. The women that went by couldn't help but blush, giggle, and flaunt what they had when they walked by. The bartender would ignore, smirk, or smile at the girl depending on her physical appearance.
“ Hey, Yami. How's it going? Easy day so far, ne?” said the young woman Chimera as she walked in. He looked at her with a smirk. “ Their all tourists, and you know how I feel about them.” He looked over the crowd. The song had changed to one with a heavier bass. “ You better go make some drinks. We got quite a crowd tonight, and poor Ryou is swamped.” Yami stared some more. “ Where's Bakura? Isn't he here?”
“ Nope. He had a day off today.”
“ Poor Ryou. Bakura really brightens up the day for him.”
“ Well, Bakura's not one to not seize a day off. Especially during tourist season.
Yami got up and tied on his apron. “ Chimera, mind my station, alright?” Chimera winked at him.
“ Gotcha covered.” Chimera mockingly, as she resumed the bored position and the half-lidded look that Yami had.
“ Ha ha. You, my friend, are a riot. You could do standup.” said Yami, his voice dripping with friendly sarcasm. Yami walked out of the bar area and back to the kitchen.
“ Hey, Ryou. Everything cool?” said Yami, filling a customer's order for Coke and rum. “ Ryou looked over at Yami.
“ I guess. It's just not the same, working without `Kura-kun. There's just so few…distractions. No one bugging me, grabbing me from behind, chugging my customer's orders…” Ryou sighed. “ I'm just so productive without him. It's…lonely.” Yami and Ryou laughed. A short, small guy came out of the back with a tray of food. Yami grinned mischievously. Suddenly, two muscled arms looped around the slim boy's waist. “ Hey, Lucky-kun.. Lookin' hot.” Yami whispered in Lucky's ear. Lucky laughed.
“ You too, Yam.” Yami didn't mean it sexually. Yami and Lucky always play this game with each other. Yami went back to the drink he was mixing, Lucky back to the food he was carrying. They both now wore grins.
Yami saw as a group of four people walked into the restaurant. Two of them looked plain. One was a girl who looked like a whore with brown hair. The other looked like a street punk with a dumb hairdo. The other two were much better looking. The one on the right was tall, thin, with blonde hair and amber eyes. He looks like a puppy dog… thought Yami in amusement. His eyes shifted to the last of the group. HIM! Yami involuntarily gasped. The last one was beautiful. He had spiky, tri-colored hair, large violet eyes, a small smile, baggy jeans and a tight shirt. He looked so cool. Yami went to take their order. The girl and the guy who looked stupid had left for the dance floor. It was just the beauty and the puppy. Yami sauntered over. “ Hey guys, what can I getcha?” He couldn't stop staring at the short one.
“Uh…yeah, I'll have da…Woodchuck, and Yug, whaddya what?” said the blonde one, with the honey eyes. “ I'll…just have water., thanks.” said Yug, if that was apparently his name.
“ Okay, Lucky'll be back in a sec with your drinks.” Said Yami, as he walked back to the kitchen with one last look at “Yug.”
Some skinny arms wrapped around Yami's neck. Lucky beamed. “ So, Yami-kun, some new friends?” Yami blushed.
“No, just customers…” said Yami, looking at the duo again, who were absorbed in conversation. Lucky frowned slightly.
“ Don't lie, Yam. I saw you looking at the short one.” Lucky looked at them again. “ Hey, that tall one's kinda cute. He reminds me of a puppy dog….I've always been a dog person. “ Yami laughed.
“ That's what I thought. He's kinda tall for you, isn't he?” said Yami, squinting at the Puppy.
“ Are you kidding? It would be…different. Besides, I'm not that short…” said Lucky, and it was his turn to blush.
Yami looked at his clenched fist. “ Oh, Lucky, I got their orders.” Lucky looked at the order.
“ Well, they aren't complicated guys orderwise.” Lucky leaned in the refrigerator, and pulled out a Woodchuck ( A rich kind of beer) and filled a glass of water at the same time without moving from the spot.
“I'll take those.” said Ryou, as he walked out from the back with some food. “Which table?” Lucky pointed to the table.
“ Right over there, with the short guy and the tall puppy.” Ryou snickered. “ He does kind of look like a dog, doesn't he?” Ryou walked out to the table where the duo was.
“Here's your drinks, guys.” Ryou put them both on the table. He began to walk away, but the tall one spoke. “Hey, are you dat Lucky guy?” Ryou turned back around.
“No, my name is Ryou, but do you want to talk to him?”
“ Oh, uh…no thanks. It's just that that spiky haired guy said that "Lucky" would bring us our drinks.” Said the puppy, looking away. Ryou walked back to the kitchen. Time passed, others were served, and finally it looked as though they were ready to leave. “ Hey Lucky, get their bill. I'm busy fillin' an order.” Said Yami, making a club sandwich. “ I'm busy too, Yam!” yelled Lucky from the oven. “ Where's Ryou?” Yami looked at Lucky from the back of the restaurant. “ He left early. Said he missed Bakura too much.” Lucky sighed big. “Howsa bout Chimera?” shouted Lucky. “ Not sure where she is!” yelled Yami back.
“ All right, all right… I'll get their bill…” grumbled Lucky, picking up the bill thingy. Chimera came from the bar. “ Hey, Yami, what's up?” Yami looked at her.
“Nothing much, just making a shrimp basket.” Yami wrinkled his noise. “ Ugh, shrimp baskets are nasty…” Chimera looked out. “ Are those the two guys you and Lucky have been watchin'?” said Chimera, leaning on the counter.
“ How'd you know?”
“Ryou's pretty handy.”
“ Figures..”
Yami looked out at the thumping restaurant. He loved it here. It was his home.

“ Darn lazy Yam, always makin' me get the damned bill…I hate that part…” Lucky grumbled as he walked out to the conversing duo. “ Hey, guys, here's your bill.”
Puppy looked at the bill. “ Hey, Yugi, day got good prices at this here place.” Said the pooch. So, that kid's name is Yugi…Yam'll be excited to hear I found his name…
" One ting though, why do yous guys keep switchin' on us? I mean, first it was that one Yami dude, then it was the white haired guy, now yous! So, who are you? Don't dis place have any organization at all?" Lucky blushed hot. " Uh, no, not really…and I'm Lucky."
" Oh, so yous was da guy dat was originally gonna bring us our drinks?"
" Yeah, I suppose that's me."
" Oh, ok…"
Lucky turned redder as Pooch stared at him for a sec. Wow, he has the most beautiful eyes… Lucky turned, if possible, redder still, when he realized HE was staring.
" Uh, can we have our check now?" said the Yugi character, as he realized that both Lucky and Puppy had gone quiet.
Lucky looked down at his hand. " Oh, of course, sorry, here ya go…"
The muscular arm of Yugi took the check. Lucky averted his gaze when he realized the blonde was looking at him again. Yugi paid him with a $5.
" Be back with your change in a sec, ok?" Lucky walked back to the kitchen. When he got there, Chimera and Yami were beaming at them.
Lucky raised an eyebrow. " Uh, hi?" Yami frowned for a sec. "So what did they say?" Lucky continued to have his brow raised. " Nothing, just got their cash, and was going to get them change." It was Chimera's turn to frown. " We saw you blushing at the tall one." Lucky's brow fell. " I was not…"
" Bull, Lucky. Don't be a liar." Said Chimera, pinning him against a wall. "Now I shall ask you again, Lucky-kun, what did they say to you?"
" Nothing!"
Yami grinned evilly. Lucky paled. " Yami, what are you going to do?"
" Chimera, please fetch the vodka."
Chimera mirrored Yami's grin. Yami took Chimera's place in holding Lucky against the wall. Lucky tried to struggle.
" Now, Lucky-kun, tell me what the juicy stuff is, huh?' whispered Yami in Lucky's ear.
"Got the firewater, Yam."
" Perfect."
Lucky struggled harder. " No! You guys know I hate that stuff! Please! Don't do it!" Lucky kicked his legs, frantically trying to escape.
" Ok, Chimera, pull open these pretty little jaws of his."
" No! guys! Stop!"
Yami's smile widened. " Tell us…" said Yami in a singsong voice.
"Ok! Fine! Nothing happened, all right? I took their money, which I still need to get back to them, and that was all!" Lucky tried to punch his way out of this, but to no avail, because his poor little arms were pinned.
" No more lies, Luc. Tell us, or YOU will be seriously tipsy."
Chimera readied the bottle to pour down his throat. Lucky gulped, the best that his held-open jaw would allow.
A soft ahem broke them away from the torture. Yugi was standing there, eyebrows arched, looking very confused. " Can I have my change, please?" Yugi laughed. Yami blushed. " Before you kill the poor guy? He does have my Lincoln." Yami, quick as a flash, let go of Lucky and pulled two dollars out of the register. "Here you go, customer-san. Nice night, ne?" Yugi smiled slighty, and blushed. " Yeah, it sure is." Lucky grumbled and pushed some hair from his eye.
" Hey, nice kitchen yas got ova here! Really sweet!" said Puppy, looking inside the kitchen. " Well, come on, Yug, classes bright and early tomorrow!"
Blondie walked toward the door and Yugi lagged behind. "Thanks, you all for the drinks." The two found their friends, and the 4 people left the bar.

The 3 friends left the bar Montage and walked home in the dark. The bar was closed and Lucky, Yami, and Chimera walked back to the apartment they shared with Ryou and Bakura. " So, Luc, you never did tell us what happened when you talked to them…" said Yami, wrapping his arms around Lucky's waist and picking him up. " Guys, not this again…I told you, nothing happened…" Yami set him down, his blood-red eyes dancing with good-natured humor.
" We know that you were blushing like crazy when your "Puppy" was talking to you." Said Chimera airily, as if it was nothing. Lucky blushed, much like when he had talked to The Tall One. "Guys, he's not MY puppy, and he's probably wouldn't go for a lousy bartender either. He's probably not even gay. He's even probably got a girlfriend." His own words depressed him, and it began to rain.
" Oh, shit, it's rainin', and we're walking. Not a good mix." said Chimera, looking up in disgust, and earning for it a raindrop in the eye. Yami and Lucky laughed.
" Hey, guys, need a ride?" said a familiar voice from a car. "Hey! Ryou! Bakura!" yelled Yami, as Chimera practically dove into the backseat. Bakura looked back. " Hey, guys, heard you all had a long day, ne?" Chimera scowled at him, wringing out her hair.
" Zip it, 'Kura. I reeeally don't want to hear it."
The rest of the ride went without event, and they made it home. " Ugh, I'm bushed. I'm hittin' the hay right away." Said Bakura, walking toward Ryou and Bakura's room. Lucky, Chimera, Ryou, and Yami glared at each other then him. Bakura could feel their glares. He turned around.
"What?!" said Bakura angrily, as everyone stopped glaring and went off to their rooms. It was only a 3 bedroom apartment, and usually Lucky slept on the couch, but Bakura spilled tequila all over it and now it was one of the most uncomfortable places on the planet. So Lucky was sharing Yami's room. " G'night, Yam." Yawned Lucky, as he turned over in his sleeping bag. " 'night, Luc." Said Yami, as he closed his eyes.

It truly was a beautiful morning, and if not for the massive amounts of homework that consumed his thought process, he would be able to enjoy it. He nodded to the change of music and continued studying his biology book. It was so boring!
" YYYYUUUUUUUUGGGGGG!" cried Jounouchi Katsuya, as he tore out of the main building. His honey eyes were brimming with joy and hair kept getting in his eyes.
Jounouchi put his arm around Yugi's shoulder. Yugi removed the headphones from around his head. " Hey, Yug, how are ya?" said Jou looking at his friend with a huge grin. Yugi smiled back. " Good, Jou, how are you?" Jou laughed. " Everything's cool, buddy! What's that? Biology? Whoa, how boring!" Jou stuck his tongue out in disgust at the mention of biology.
" So, anyways, Yug, whaddya say we go to the Montage again tomorrow? That was fun, huh?" Jou smiled at Yugi. The smile was contagious, and instantly Yugi broke into a smile too. " Sure, Jou, that sounds like fun!"
If there was anything more beautiful than Kyoto at night, it would be in the day. It was beautiful and very clear. There was almost never a cloudy day in Kyoto. It was one of the many reasons tourists liked it here so much. They almost never had to worry about the weather spoiling a pretty day. That had its ups and downs. For Yugi, the endless sunny days were great, even if he did like the rain. It was easy to just go a-out and take a stroll. Today, though, was grocery day. Yugi loathed grocery day. Thankfully, he only had to spend the most of his money on Jounouchi. He himself didn't buy too much for him. Yugi took a casual glance across the street. It was the waiter from yesterday! The one that Yugi couldn't help but…stare at. It embarrassed him, but he kind of liked the bartender. He wasn't sure of his name, but he thought it was like Yomi, or Yamu, or…Yami! That was it! Yami. He liked Yami, but didn't know him. THAT was embarrassing. Anyway, he better not let himself get attached. Yami probably wasn't all that great of a person once you got to know him.
He also saw the other waiters there too. There was the shorter one that was tormented about something by the girl (which he also saw) and Yami himself. He saw the white haired one from yesterday too, but he also spied another one with white hair, almost identical to the waiter from the other day. He smiled a small little grin and continued on his way, unable to get the bartender out of his mind.
So, what do you think? I like it, and I think it'll turn out great. Review if you please! XD
