The nights the lights went out in Georgia

I heard this song last night at work and loved this song. Also, as I heard I had to do it as a one-shot. Also, in this story, Ryou and Bakura are bothers and Bakura goes by the name Akifa. So it is Akifa and Ryou Bakura with Akifa as the older brother. I also didn’t feel like doing details in this one. Sorry but I do hope you all like it and like the ending.

I don’t own the song or Yugioh. Being used for fun only.

Akifa Bakura had just come back from being out of town for two weeks. Akifa had gone back to his and his younger brother’s home country, England. He has some family business he had to take care.
Now Akifa was back home, Domino City, Japan. As he drove down the streets, Akifa thought of his lover, Yami, and how he couldn’t wait to see him but stopped off at the local bar in town to have a drink. He was planning to make it quick.
Once Akifa walked into the bar, he saw his best friend, Marik Ishtar. With a smile, Akifa walked over to him. “Hay Mar, what’s up?” He asked.
Marik just shook his head after he saw him as he pointed to the chair across from him. “Sit. Got some news you won’t like.” He said as he watched his friend take a sit. “What’s wrong?” Akifa then asked.
“I’m your best friend right?” Marik asked as he saw Akifa nod. “Well as your best friend I should tell you when something going on. And something is going on and it deals with your lover, Yami.” Marik said as he watched his friend started to get worried.
“His not home.” Marik then went on. “Since you been gone his been seeing Kaiba.” Marik said as he saw his friend go from shock to hurt to mad and could tell his friend was seeing nothing but red.
Marik then shook his head as he looked at his friend. “Akifa just calm down. Yami isn’t anything to get upset over. The boy is nothing but a whore and I know because I’ve been with him.” Marik said.

That's the night that the lights went out in GeorgiaThat's the night that they hung an innocent manWell Don't trust your soul to no back woods Southern lawyerCause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

Ryou was flipping throw an old photo album as he remembers the events that happen that night when the light went out. ‘The day they killed you.’ Ryou thought as he ran his fingers over a photo of his now dead brother.

Andy got scared and left the barWalking on home cause he didn't live far you seeAndy didn't have many friends and he just lost him oneBrother thought his wife must've left townSo he went home and finally found the only thingDaddy had left him and that was a gunHe went off to Andy's houseSlipping through the back woods quiet as a mouseCame upon some tracks too small for Andy to makeHe looked through the screen at the back porch doorAnd he saw Andy lying on the floorIn a puddle of blood and he started to shakeThe Georgia patrol was making their roundsSo he fired a shot just to flag em downA big bellied sheriff grabbed his gun and said"Why'd you do it?"The judge said guilty on a make-believe trialSlapped the sheriff on the back with a smileSaid supper's waiting at home and I gotta get to it
Marik got scared when he saw the look in Akifa’s eyes. One that promised death.
Marik then left the bar as he walked home. He did not live far from the bar. He let out a sigh as he just realized that he lost one of his few friends that he had.
‘Wonder what Yami is up to?’ He then thought not being able to stay away from said man. Marik just pulled his cell from his pocket as he walked into his house to call Yami over.

After a long and hard search, Akifa found what he was looking for. “Thank you father.” Akifa said as he loaded the gun before heading to Marik’s place.
Akifa made his way quietly to Marik’s house. He never made a sound. As quiet as a mouse.
Akifa then looked in throw the open back door as his eyes went wide. He then started to shake at what he saw. There lying in a pool of his own blood was his ex-best friend Marik, dead.

Akifa then saw a patrol car making is rounds as Akifa shot his gun to flag them down. Instead of the help he was hoping for, they took his gun and blamed him for the murder.

It was only two weeks later that a ‘trail’ was held where the judge said guilty as Akifa was then taken away. The judge didn’t know that Akifa had heard him talk to the sheriff and praising him on for helping to blame Akifa for this.
“Got a home made dinner for him at home. What do join us?” was the last thing that Akifa heard them talking about as he was taking away. To walk the long walk to his death.

That's the night the lights went out in GeorgiaThat's the night that they hung an innocent manDon't trust your soul to no back woods Southern lawyerCause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

Ryou’s eyes narrowed as he thought of the trail and the lawyer they hired. ‘Shouldn’t have hired him. He was after nothing but our money, big brother. Don’t worry I got back at him for it. He’ll never hurt another like he did us, again.’

Well, they hung my brother before I could sayThe tracks he saw while on his wayTo Andy's house and back that night were mineAnd his cheatin wife had never left townThat's one body that'll never be foundYou see little sister don't miss when she aims her gun

It wasn’t even a full week later that Akifa was being lead to his death. Akifa was going to take the truth to his grave. He would never get the change to tell the truth even if he wanted to.

“You did big brother. You knew that the track you found were mine. The reason you got scared was because of what I had done. I am the only one that knew where you lover went. He didn’t leave town like they all thought.” Ryou said with an evil and insane look in his eyes.
“Oh no, he didn‘t leave. See, I didn’t miss when I aimed my gun.” Ryou said with an evil laugh as he flipped the pages as the grin on his lips stayed. Ryou even laughed a bit more.

That's the night the lights went out in GeorgiaThat's the night that they hung an innocent manDon't trust your soul to no back woods Southern lawyerCause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hand

“The night that they hung you they hung an innocent man. But don’t worry big brother. I got back at that damn back wood lawyer and that judge. I made sure they felt what you felt when you died.”

That's the night the lights went out in GeorgiaThat's the night that they hung an innocent manDon't trust your soul to no back woods Southern lawyerCause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hand

Ryou then closed the book as he sat back in his chair and looked out his back window to the back yard. In his back yard was his favorite tree because of what was in it.
Dangling from the tree was the dead bodies of the lawyer and judge that had, in Ryou’s mind, killed his brother. “Now you two know how my brother felt. You shall forever know what he felt.” Ryou said as he laughed again as that same sick, twisted, insane smiled stayed on Ryou’s lips.

A/N I hope you like this. I know that the ending may not go with the song but I couldn’t help it. I had to put that. Please send me reviews on this one. See ya next song-fic or story.
