Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Passion, The Pain, The Lust Part I ❯ A Thin Line Between Love and Hate ( Chapter 36 )
~Next Day~
Inside the Palace...
Inside Kimora's room...
When Kimora woke up it was still fairly quiet inside the large Palace. She gathered all of her make-up and bath accessories and went inside the bathroom to prepare herself. Although, she was still pissed about last night, she still felt jealous of Teania but she tried to not let that get to her. Kimora tied her hair up into a ponytail and stepped into the hot water. Letting her body soak for a while to relive the stress. She lied her head back on a red cushion that sat on the edge of the tub, and she lied her head on that, resting her eyes, hoping that today will be a good day. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Kimora shouted. Maya opened up the door but Kimora could here two voices instead of one.
"Where are you Kimora?" Maya called out. "I'm in the bathroom." Kimora said anxiously as she waited to see who was in her room. Maya came in the room and Teania stood right behind her. "Kimora, I wanted to tell you that this morning the Pharaoh said that Teania could come into the Palace whenever. Isn't this exciting?" Maya exclaimed. "I'm glad to be here in the Palace with you Kimora. It was so boring without you." Teania said jolly like. "I'm glad your here Teania." Kimora muttered. "We'll let you get finished Kimora while I go take Teania to see the Pharaoh." Kimora stared down into the water and nodded her head. The two girls left. Kimora tried hard to hold back her tears and anger that seemed to be forcing itself out of her.
Kimora hurried up and washed herself and then got out of the tub. She went to the mirror and stared into it heartbroken. "Am I ugly? Is his love for me slowly fading before my eyes? Or am I just over exaggerating? Teania is my best friend; she would never hurt me like that. Or would she? Does she care about my feelings like she says she does? Or is it all just an act? The only thing I can do now is see what is going for myself and then take it from there. If something happens......" Kimora put on rose scented oils on her body and face and she put on her pink lipstick and pink eye shadow. She wore a pink knitted halter-top that tied at the split by the breasts. She also wore red panties, and pink knitted very small, thigh-fitting shorts.
She wore the cartouche that the Pharaoh gave her and some silver earrings, silver anklets, and silver bracelets. She put on a peach scented oil in her hair and covered a section of hair over her right eye and left the rest hanging down past her waist and over her shoulders. She glanced into the mirror one more time and sighed. "I guess I'm not pretty enough." Kimora then left the room.
Inside the Palace hallways....
Kimora walked around the Palace and spotted Teania talking to the Pharaoh on the balcony again. Kimora just stood by the pillar watching the two talk and laugh. She began to feel alone and out of place. It was okay for people to see Teania talking to the Pharaoh since she is the princess of Ashta and she has not done anything wrong but, let it be Kimora and the whole Palace will turn into a mad house. The Pharaoh and Teania signaled Kimora to come over but she just turned her head and walked away. "What's wrong with her?" Teania said as she was thrown off by Kimora's sudden reaction. "I think I know. I'm sorry Teania but we're going to have to cut our conversation short while I attend to Kimora." Teania was fine with it so she waved goodbye and had Maya show her around the Palace.
The Pharaoh began searching around the Palace but Kimora was nowhere to be seen. That's because Kimora left the Palace and was somewhere inside the village. After searching around the Palace for a long time, the Pharaoh sat back on the throne, giving up on the search. "Have you found her my Pharaoh?" Priest Mahado said worryingly. "No, I haven't found her." The Pharaoh said with grief. "Do you want me to send the guards out to search for her?" Priest Mahado was inclined to help him find her. The Pharaoh shook his head. "No, she will come back soon. Just let her go." Priest Mahado bowed and decided to go search for Kimora himself.
Inside the Village...
Kimora is traveling around by herself covered in her white hooded robe, searching for the elderly woman whom always seemed to console her when she is down. Kimora released her tears and let them fall down her warm face as she wiped them with her hand. As she was walking a little girl grabbed her hand and Kimora turned towards her startled. "This is for you."
The girl handed her a pink flower in which Kimora gladly accepted it, kissing the little girl on the forehead. The little girl's mother grabbed her hand and quickly pulled her away from Kimora. Kimora kept walking while the little girl stared at her trying desperately to break free from her mother's grip. While walking through the busy streets Kimora saw Rishad and his men working in the field, Marlene was running her food market, Aria and Aeris were helping her as assistants, Adriana was keeping her brothers company at home while cleaning and washing, and Ashila was talking to some neighbors. All Kimora could do was smile. She was delighted to see her friends so happy and working so hard, while Kimora stood alone watching. Where her so called friends slowly drifting away from her? Did they still care about her? Or did they forget about her? Kimora wanted her friends to become apart of her other friends but it seemed like they were being taken away from her.
This made her hurt even more. She ran through the village and just kept running and running until she ran right out of the village not knowing where she was going. She just ran and ran until her feet and legs were tired. While in the city two male thieves kidnapped the little girl that gave Kimora the pink flower. The thieves ran through the village as fast as they could while the mother and three other men ran after the culprits. Unfortunately they weren't fast enough and the thieves got away and left the city with the little girl. The woman dropped to the ground screaming at the top of her lungs as everyone watched blankly, not knowing what to do. Some guards came rushing over, pushing through the crowd helping the young woman out. "What's going on here?" The tall guard shouted. "Those thieves stole my baby." The woman cried. "What thieves?" The shorter guard replied. "Those hideous men that ran out of the city."
The captain sent some men out of the city to go look for the little girl, while the mother was still on the ground screaming and crying as the father came over and took her to the Palace. "Alright people, show's over move alongside." The tall guard yelled and everyone went back to what they were doing. The captain and the rest of his guards went back to the Palace to report this incident to the Pharaoh.
Inside the Palace...
The captain bowed before the Pharaoh and his guards stood in a straight line behind him. "My Pharaoh we have a problem. Some thieves kidnapped this young woman's child and I think we have an idea of who the culprit is." The captain was going to blame it on Kimora. "Have you sent some guards out to find the thief?" The captain nodded. "The thief left the village but there are guards looking out there as well as inside the village. We'll catch her." The Pharaoh stood up on his throne wondering who this "her" was that the guard was talking about. "Who is the thief?" The Pharaoh had an idea of who he was talking about, but he hoped that it wasn't what he was thinking. "I think it was Kimora." The guard winked at the young woman and she nodded. Neither of them liked Kimora and this was their chance to get her into some serious trouble. "You're lying." The Pharaoh sat back down. "I'm not lying to you; she kidnapped the child and ran out of the city." The Pharaoh tapped his fingers on the armrest still not believing the Captain. The young woman collapsed on the floor and started to cry again. "I saw her my Lord, she took my baby and ran but I couldn't catch up with her."
"Alright then. I will leave it up to you and your men to bring Kimora back to me. If I find out you all are lying, there will be hell to pay." The Pharaoh dismissed everyone and while Priest Seto glared at the Pharaoh angrily. "I told you that this was a bad idea to let that girl stay in the Palace but no you just had to let her in here. She has you so sprung you can't even think straight." The Priests stared at Priests Seto knowing he was way out of line. "I would strongly advise you to stop talking now or you can kiss your Priest hood goodbye." Priest Seto walked away silently.
"I believe you my Pharaoh. I don't think Kimora could have done this. I think it was someone trying to frame her again. I have been carefully examining her behavior and from past events, all she was trying to do was protect herself and her friends. We found out who really stole Priest Karim's millennium scale and now what we did to poor Kimora will haunt us forever. Even though her Ka killed those men at your birthday celebration she saved many lives and even yours as well my Pharaoh even if you may not think it. Now this guard claims that she kidnapped the child but, how can you believe him when practically everyone hates this girl. They will stop at nothing to bring her down and we have to fight for her sake and for the sake of our people so that we may have justice in this corrupt city. Its not fair that one girl has to be penalized for everyone's wrong doings, so let's stop this before bad happens." Priest Ishizu said.
The Pharaoh agreed totally with what she said but will the guards bring back the real crooks or will they bring back Kimora? "I understand how you feel Priestess Ishizu and I promise you that I will bring justice to my city." Priest Ishizu bowed and walked away grinning from ear to ear. She felt happy to finally get all of that off her chest but with this wonderful feeling came these strange thoughts that she began to have about the Pharaoh. Every time she would look, talk, or stand next to him she would feel her stomach turning. Could this be Love? Or is this something more?
