At Night...

Inside the Pharaoh's Chambers...

The Pharaoh sat on his bed staring up into the ceiling, waiting for someone to tell him that Kimora is alive and well, so that he can stop worrying. He closed his eyes attempting to try and get some sleep but he knew very well that when Bakura is dead only then we'll he be able to rest well. "Why must things be this way now? Just when Kimora and I began to get closer, fate is slowly tearing us apart? Now the only thing on my mind is defeating Bakura. Was I wanting too much? As I prayed to the God's for a love that will suit me well? I know we were meant to be but...." Someone was knocking on the door and the Pharaoh quickly jumped out of bed and opened it up only to find Kimora standing at the door with tears in her eyes.

She falls into the Pharaoh's arms as he embraces her tightly. Some servants heard about Tani's little rumor and they didn't not believe it until they saw Kimora crying as she entered the Pharaoh's chambers. They silently walked away shaking their heads.

Inside the Pharaoh's Chambers...

He pulled her into the room and shut the door behind her. Kimora drops to the floor, as her eyes continue to shower with tears. "What's wrong Kimora?" The Pharaoh kneeled down next to her, with his hand on her back. She managed to stand up and lean against the wall clasping her right hand on her left arm; she held her head down and took a deep breath.

"I've just lost my Ka. My heart and soul, my protection.................. It's all gone. I'm always the victim of a helpless situation. When it all ends, something I love and cherish is taken away from me. What kind of destiny is this when I have nothing? I hate to say this but.......ever since I came here, I've cried more than I smiled and I find that heartbreaking to know that maybe I was not meant to be here. Maybe we should go back to the way we were before. I come see you or you come see me. I seemed to have enjoyed that more than this. I know I have to serve you for 10 years but do you think I will really last that long without attempting to commit suicide? Don't you think I've served you long enough? I know for sure that Bakura will continue to separate us farther apart. Don't you think we should be alone for a while?

I'm not saying we break up and I'm not saying we leave each other forever, I'm saying that I just need some time alone. If that's okay with you?"

The Pharaoh turned away from her with his arms crossed. So many boggling questions raced through his head as tried to seek an answer. "What could I say? I don't want her to leave but this is what she felt she needed to do. Is running away really going to solve anything? Could I possibly convince her to stay? No............I guess maybe this wasn't meant to be. Maybe.........maybe I should just let her go do as she pleases. She seems so happy this way. I guess...........There is nothing left to do but let her go." The Pharaoh slowly turned around avoiding Kimora's face. "If you feel so strongly about this Kimora than you are free to go. You don't have to return if you don't want to but there will always be a place for you here and in my heart."

Kimora lifted her head up and wrapped her arms around the Pharaoh, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you. I won't be gone forever, I'll return someday.............. But don't wait up on me." Taking one last gaze into those innocent crimson eyes. She didn't stare too long for fear that he would pressure her to stay. She could feel that strong resistance that he was holding back when his muscles seemed to tighten and his eyes closed. What could he be thinking? He slowly managed to wrap his arms around her, kissing her forehead and then releasing her from his embrace. "Bye." Her lasts words pierced his heart as she walked away to get her things from her room. The Pharaoh held his head down with both fists balled up to his sides. "I did it. I let her go...................................Why?....................what was I thinking? I love her............. And I just let her go. But that's what she wanted? How could I deny her freedom? She's done enough for me. I just hope she returns........................someday..........." The Pharaoh turned around and slammed the door.

Inside Kimora's room....

Kimora washed up, put oils on, and changed clothes. She wore a gold short sleeved shirt open at the chest and a gold sash, with a gold headband. Kimora quickly gathered her things before she began to have second thoughts about staying. She didn't have many things so it didn't take her long only a few minutes. After packing up all her things, she grabbed her white robe and wrote a letter to all her friends telling them about her reasons for departure.

All she could do was cry tears of happiness as she wrote each letter. After finishing, she picked up her things and took one last, hard, long, look at her room. She shook her head and smiled. "I'll miss this so much." She turned around and shut the door.

In the upstairs hallway...

Kimora went to Teania's room and slid the letters under their doors. She pressed her ear up against Teania's door only to hear the sound of her snoring. She laughed with continuing tears in her eyes as she made one last stop at Maya's room she knocked on the door and Maya appeared.

"What's up Kimora?"

"I need Akira. I'm going to return her to her mother."

"Well okay wait right here."

Maya got Akira and handed the sleepy little girl to Kimora.

"What's going on Kimora?"

"Thank you Maya. I appreciate everything you have done for me."

She gave Maya the letter and made her way out of the Palace. Maya was confused as she went back inside her room to read the letter and then a few minutes later she bursts out of her room and ran up and down the hallways looking for Kimora but she had already left.

In the Village...

She took a trip to Ashila, Rishad and Marlene, Aria, Tarik, Hondo, and Aeris houses to give them letters. As she traveled to each house, all she could think about was the good times they've shared and the way things used to be.............. Long ago. Then she stopped at Eshe's house and knocked twice. Eshe answered the door rubbing her eyes. "Hi Kimora. Isn't it a little late to be here?"

"I just wanted to return Akira to you and give you this letter."

"Where are you going?"

Kimora gave her a hug and kissed the little girl on her forehead and then got back on her horse and headed out of the village.

"Where are you going Kimora?" Eshe yelled but she was already gone.

Now she is going on another journey again. But where to? She could always go to the previous villages she has been to before. But is that what she really wanted to do? Maybe she just needed to find herself? What her destiny was? What she wanted to do? Where she wanted to be? Who she wanted to be with? She had to find all this and more as the sun began to arise she and her horse, left the city in hopes to find these answers. Bakura saw Kimora leave and he did nothing. All he did was stare from a distance. He was still seriously injured from Obelisk's attack. But he was not ending his battle between him and the Pharaoh. It has only just begun.

~Next day~

The Pharaoh woke up and stood on the balcony overlooking his grand city. Priest Mahado stood by watching him. "Are you alright my Pharaoh?" He griped the ledge and hunched his shoulders over, still looking down. "I'm fine. Just bring Asenia to me so we can get this over with." Priest Mahado bowed and left to retrieve Asenia. The Pharaoh returned to his throne and waited for her. He could hear yelling and screaming as the guards brought out the hideous looking Asenia to stand before the Pharaoh. "Where is Bakura and what is he planning?" The Pharaoh yelled at Asenia.

Asenia spat on the floor and then a big fist came at her, hitting her in the face. "I'm not telling you anything. If you really want to know you have to defeat me in a duel." Priest Seto burst into laughter. "Are you mad woman? There is no way you can defeat the Pharaoh." Asenia growled at him.

"I'm not fighting you Asenia. It is pointless. I refuse to fight you." Asenia chuckled. "So, the cowardly Pharaoh is afraid to duel the peasant girl. How very touching." The guard kicked Asenia in the back and she fell face first on the floor, struggling to stand up. Suddenly, two guards entered the Palace holding two twin toddlers in their arms. "My Lord we have recovered Asenia's children." They set the two girls down and they ran over to they're beaten and battered mother.

Asenia pushed the girls away from her and knocked them onto the floor. "Mommy.............." One girl began to cry. "Mommy why are you so angry?" The other girl said. The Pharaoh stood up and walked over to Asenia. His voice got deeper and his fists were balled up. "This is how you treat your children? You hurt them and abandon them, you attempt to kill one of my people, and you threaten me. You are truly a servant of evil. Bakura and the eternal darkness have corrupted your mind. Your are inhumane and insane. I want her out of Egypt were she can do no harm to anyone." The Pharaoh said. "You're not taking me without a fight." Teania and Asenia heard the commotion as they ran downstairs. Only to see Asenia challenging the Pharaoh. "I'll summon Skull Knight. I'll show you how evil I can be." Her eyes turned red and horns began growing out of her head. The servants all ran away but Teania and Maya hid behind a large pillar. The Pharaoh grabbed Asenia's two children only to be stabbed in the back by one of her horns. "Mommy what's wrong with you? Mommy why don't you love us?" The girls tried reaching out to their possessed mother as the Priests began summoning their Ka's and attacking Skull Knight.

The Pharaoh couldn't stand up as he tried holding onto the girls to keep them from escaping. Teania couldn't bare it any longer. She ran over to the Pharaoh and helped him to his feet. Taking the girls out of his arms she ran back across the battlefield only to be tackled by Sorceress Asenia. He Pharaoh quickly summons Obelisk to the field, attacking Sorceress

Asenia. The Priest have already destroyed her Ka all that is left now is to destroy the Sorceress. Maya ran over to Teania and helped her get to the other side. Teania was left with a large scratch mark on her side making her unable to walk properly. "This is the end my PHARAOH." Laughing evilly, Asenia launches an attack at the Pharaoh only to be destroyed by Obelisk. She still stands there as her body begins to inflate. The Pharaoh and his Priests back away from her.

Their eyes widened in horror as she continued to inflate and then a huge explosion shook the Palace as all the servants scrambled around screaming and hiding. When the smoke cleared, their was nothing left of Asenia, except a black orb. One of the guards picked up the black orb but it disappeared. Where did this black orb come from? What did it do? And why did it vanish when the guard touched it?
