Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Passion, The Pain, The Lust Part II ❯ The Midnight Attackers ( Chapter 29 )
Inside the Palace...
After a while Queen Kimora came out her room still with her robe on and as soon as the Pharaoh spotted her he ran over to her and hugged her real tight.
"I was worried about you Kimora. You have been locked up in your room for quite some time now."
"Yeah well I was sleeping. What do you want?"
Kimora broke his embrace and leaned up against the wall.
"I just wanted to tell you that I have sent Priestess Mana to pose as a commoner and go into the village to see about these men in black cloaks."
"Men in black cloaks?"
"Yes, they have been in the village attacking young women. One woman said that they seemed to be looking for something. Either way we need to find out what they are looking for and I think Mana is fit for the job."
"Has Mana already gone into the village?"
"No but she is getting ready to. Why?"
Inside Mana's room...
Kimora ran off to Mana's room and when she opened the door Mana was still getting ready.
"Oh hello my Queen I didn't know you were awake. Has the Pharaoh already told you about my mission?"
"Yes, and I want to come with you."
"You can't its too dangerous and I won't risk putting you in danger."
"But I want to go. I have to see for myself."
"Why?"
"From the way everyone has described them, they sound familiar to me."
"Someone you know?"
"No, someone I may have seen before."
"Oh...well if it means that much to you I'll wait by the Palace Gates until you are ready."
"Thank you Mana. You get more and more like your teacher every day. Its like he hardly left us."
"Thank you Queen Kimora. And coming from you its like he never left at all."
Mana left and waited by the Palace Gates while Kimora went back to her room to get ready.
Inside Kimora's room...
Kimora just wore a plain and simple outfit. A hooded skirt outfit. The hood covered her head almost all the way and a short skirt that showed most of her legs. She got this outfit from Kisara. She found it in the Veju Shrine after Zork Necrophidious exchanged her soul for the Blue Eyes White Dragon.
Looking in the mirror she seemed to look like her a little bit. Mainly because her peasantry still showed. But she didn't care because she was still one of them no matter how much makeup or jewels she puts on. But since it was impossible for her to make everyone a Noble woman or man and she would help them and spend time with them as much as she could to let them know that her love for them has never changed and will never change. As she was about to leave the Pharaoh came in and stopped her.
Inside the Palace Hallways...
"Now where do you think your going?"
"I'm going into the village with Mana."
"What!?!"
"You heard me I am going into the village with Mana. I think I might know who these men in black cloaks are."
"I don't care I still don't want you to go into the village."
"I will be with Mana and I know if there is any danger she will protect me regardless."
"But Mana's power alone might not be able to protect you from those men. Because what if you are the person they are looking for?"
"Then I'll be ready for them. You don't have to worry about me I'll be fine."
Kimora walked away and the Pharaoh said no more.
In Front of Palace Gates...
"Alright Mana I'm ready. Seto was holding me up..."
"Oh...I figured as much."
"Okay let's go."
The girls left and entered the village.
Inside the Village...
They walked around for a while and didn't notice anything different. Everything was the same. Ashila ran up to her panting and sweating as she dropped to the floor.
"Oh Kimora I am glad to see you."
"What happened?"
Mana and Kimora helped her up off the ground as they all entered the bar and sat down buying her a large drink.
Inside the Bar...
"These large men in black cloaks attacked me yesterday. I went out at night to fetch some water and then these men attacked me. First the one big guy held me up by my face and looked me dead in the eye. Then he looked at my body and ripped off my clothes and just stared at me then he looked at the guy behind him, shook his head, threw me on the ground and left. I thought they were going to rape me but they didn't. Now I'm almost sure that they were looking for someone in particular but I don't know who."
"Did they say anything to you?"
"No they just mumbled some stuff so I wouldn't hear. They had my mouth covered and I was too busy trying to scream for help but it didn't work."
"I'm so sorry Ashila. If I would've known I wouldn't have let that happen to you..."
"It's okay. I've been feeling a little bit better now. The Pharaoh has put more guards out and he says that no women and children can be out after dark. You don't have to worry about me and a lot of these other women because most of them don't even come out at all because they are afraid of those creepy men."
"Well that's good. Be sure to let me know if you see any more of those men."
"Okay..."
"Just stay close to your house as much as possible."
"Alright."
Mana and Kimora were about to leave the bar but Ashila was still sitting there.
"Aren't you coming with us?"
"No, I'll just sit here a while. You go ahead. Be careful..."
"Thank you. I will."
They left the bar and walked around the village some more. But still there was no strange activity going on.
Inside the Village...
"You know what Mana?"
"What is it Kimora?"
"I think maybe we should come back at night?"
"Yeah I think so too. I'm pretty sure that attacking in the middle of the day wouldn't be such a smart thing to do."
"Yeah that's true. So let's head back to the Palace and wait until nighttime."
"Okay but you know the Pharaoh won't approve of you going out at night."
"I personally don't give a damn what the Pharaoh approves because when I am not with him he is being showered by other women. Smiling, talking, and having a good time something we never do and even when I try it doesn't work out so I gave up on him and the only thing I can hope for now is that Pharaoh Atemu will come back."
Kimora stopped and started crying.
"Are you okay Kimora....?"
"Yeah...I'll....I'll be fine. Let's go."
Kimora walked ahead and Mana just stood there and watched for a minute. She seriously thought that Queen Kimora and Pharaoh Set were getting along but that was all a lie. She shook her head and ran to catch up with Kimora.
