His hands were bound behind his back, body pulled at a painful angle. And even though he knew he was asleep, Yugi felt cold chills sweep through him as the memories relived themselves before his eyes.

Cold, wet bloodied fingers trailed down his skin and it made him want to retch as he whimpered under the gag, unable to scream right then.

" 'My, grandma, what big teeth you have!' Little Red Riding-hood said…" the taunting voice cooed to him.

Every inch of those fingers was on him, every inch of the meat, and it was covered in red paint.

Blood, it was blood, Not paint, He knew.

Yugi drew in another breath to scream, the acrid smell of raw meat choking his air, yet still, if he could scream enough, someone might come… someone might hear…

"Are you listening Yugi-kun? Tch, I see not. Well then, you've been such a good little boy, sitting there and not squirming, let's have treat shall we?" the voice singsonged, blonde hair obscured Yugi's vision briefly as those amethyst eyes came so close to his.

"You've got blood all over your face. Tsk, tsk, you're such a messy child. I'll clean this up…"

And then his tongue; licking the blood and gobs of half flesh half tendon off Yugi's skin, and the sound of crunching as those canines bite into the hand.

Yugi's stomach heaved and his eyes began to roll back into his head with the sickening sight of that creature gnawing at his mother's hand.

"Ah! Bad! Oh, we are bad aren't we? Trying to fall asleep during your lessons. We'll have to do something to stop this. Yes, definitely wearing too much clothing…"

Those hands on his body…

~

Yugi woke with a start, cold sweat soaking a bed sheet to his flesh. Fine tremors ran through his body at the same moment tears came to his eyes.

A cool hand slide over his shoulder and the human startled, turning snake-like to stare at Yami in confusion for a moment.

Yami… Yami… the name ran through his head a few times before it registered.

"I need my medication." Yugi murmured dully.

Yami blinked in the night. "What?"

"I'm dreaming again. I-I- need the meds…" His voice was a thick purr, heavy from sleep, yet it couldn't have been very long as Yami was still with him.

"Do you know what kind of meds? I'll pick them up now, if you want."

Yugi swallowed. "Uhh… they're heavy sleeper pills, it doesn't matter which ones, they're prescription only, and they'll be very bad to take in overdose. I can tell you that much."

Yami nodded and rolled out of the bed, padding over to his computer and turning it on.

Yugi nestled his head in his knees as he breathed in and out shakily; hot choking tears making his throat close. Too shaken to yell or scream or make a fuss that he was sleeping in his emeny's bed, with his enemy nestled around him.

Visions played themselves mockingly before Yugi's eyes.

So much red paint.

More paint than you would expect for a human body.

He closed his eyes, trying to will the memories away, but the dream was so fresh in his mind, the most clearest day of his life printed in big red letters that covered every inch of his subconscious until it was all a big bleeding mess of meat and red paint.

He needed to distract himself he thought loudly.

Violet eyes looked around the room, but the dim colors only served to remind him of those hideous amethyst eyes. Yugi shuddered, why were the colors so dim? Because it was night?

"What time is it?" He asked softly.

"About nine thirty in the morning. Why?" Yami asked, plum eyes glancing back at Yugi briefly before searching his screen once more for the right drugs.

"But it's still so dark… still night…"

"The sun won't rise for another two hours." The Egyptian commented.

Yugi gasped.

The sun took longer to rise in this time?

That sounded like sort of important information Jou should have told him about!

The distraction and horror of vampires walking the earth for several more hours than they should was enough to pull his mind from the horror of his memories.

"But…" He opened his mouth, closed it and just sighed.

Yami turned off the computer and came back to the bed with a glass of water and three red tablets. "Here." He handed Yugi one of the tablets and the water.

Yugi stuck the tablet on the middle of his tongue and took a swig of the water, swallowing quickly. Yami took the glass from him and slipped back into bed after putting the cup on the bedside table.

Even snuggled against Yami's familiar feel Yugi still felt tense.

Yami rubbed Yugi's arms gently. "You're so on edge, Yugi-kun. Tch, you should relax."

"Why do you keep making that sound?" Yugi asked randomly, ignoring the vampire's comment.

"What sound?"

"tch."

Yami chuckled and the sound vibrated against Yugi's back. "I suppose it's habit."

Yugi grunted and rolled over, pressing his face against Yami's chest and breathed in softly.

Yami was very un-vampiric. Yugi thought.

He didn't smell like blood, he didn't act like a killer, he was kind of funny, witty actually and he smelt a bit like…

Yugi hummed, trying to put down what Yami smelt like…

"You smell like doughnuts."

"I do?" Yami asked softly.

"Hai. But not the cinnamon kind; the ones with strawberry icing on top."

"I'm a strawberry iced doughnut?" Yami questioned.

Yugi could feel his mind beginning to blank out of real deep thought and run on idle, which meant the little voice in the back of his head got to get its chance at embarrassing him.

"Yep, although I can't remember if you taste like doughnut." He commented, obvious flirting tones creeping into his voice. He was aloud to be horny! He'd had 730 years of isolation, and Yami was just so smooth and familiar…

Now in the back of his own head Yugi hit himself against a mental wall, he was going to regret this in the morning.

"Well, neither can I, so that makes us even." It was obvious Yami was treading the flirting voice delicately, not ready for another explosion.

"What do I smell like?"

"Life. You smell like life."

Yugi crinkled his nose. "What does life smell like?"

Yami shrugged. "A bit like summer."

Yugi yawned in disinterest. "Hmm, doughnuts aren't popular during summer, everyone wants ice-cream… but I don't think about elves in that way so I'll stick with the doughnuts."

"Nani? Elves smell like ice-cream?"

Yugi nodded. "Yep, Jou-kun used to tell me all the time, they each had their own distinct ice-creamy smell. He's hazelnut… I think." Yugi added softly in a childish voice.

"Hmm, have the drugs kicked in yet?"

"I'd say so, I'm not really forming much coherent thought." Yugi said helpfully.

"Wouldn't sleeping pills act like painkillers?"

Yugi shook his head with a yawn. "No, painkillers dull my muscles, sleepers dull my thoughts. When my muscles relax, stress begins to build up. But my thoughts relaxing aren't such a problem because that's where all the problems come from… my thoughts."

Yami kissed Yugi on his head briefly. "Well lets go back to sleep then."

Yugi sighed outwardly, little voice still in the drivers seat. "Really? Weren't you horny a few hours ago?"

Yami choked. "What did you say?"

Yugi shrugged and rolled over. "I suppose you're not up to anything. You must need your rest."

"Uh, no, no, it's not that but, aren't you angry with me for existing? You're…"

"I'm not quite at the forefront of my head." Yugi said, rolling back again to face the vampire with innocent eyes. "Whatever I do tonight I'd regret, wouldn't matter how bad it was."

Yami looked confused but didn't make any noise for a while. "…I don't know what you're offering…"

Yugi smiled and pressed closer to the vampire, snaking one hand around Yami's head and bringing their lips so close together there was little more than a centimeter.

"Understand now?" He purred.

Mentally Yugi was crying, this wasn't meant to happen! How could he let the stupid freakin' voice do this!

Okay, so maybe it wasn't all the voice's actions, Yugi admitted he didn't mind being so close and touching the vampire. But he couldn't have this on his conscious! It was wrong, he was going to kill Yami, he wasn't going to…

He wasn't…

He didn't want…

Hungry lips melted on his own and Yugi's thoughts dropped distinctly low.

Sweet notes: Kami-sama I think I'm going to be reduced to once a week chapters *cringes*. Review now! Every review truly does help! Every thick review makes my day that much brighter, and closer to helping me have the courage to write more!

Also, when I finish this ficcie, *in around three chapters or so* I've got plans for a Pirate one it'd be very big and incredibly detailed, and everything's actually planned out *gasp* so it wouldn't take long, but just as a thought, would anyone read any more of my shitty writing? Or should I not even try?
