My life's not all it's cracked up to be

Fame, fortune. What's the big deal?

No one truly cares for me

My heart has forgotten how to feel

Some say that it is my fate,

That my former life has written this tale

That I was always cold and full of hate

And my attempts to change will always fail

My darkest rival is also my brightest friend

Our destinys have brought us together

But the past says that's not how this will end

For our friendship can't last forever

We must battle each other, the duel of all time

To decide what the fate of the world shall be

And now I ask, at the end of this rhyme

Shouldn't it be up to me, to decide my own destiny
