Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The School-Theater ❯ Attack of the Hikaris ( Chapter 8 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Title: School Theater 7
Author: Ashray
Summary: Ryou and Yugi are (more then a little) mad at Anzu for always hitting on their lovers, and now she is in for it.
Yami and Bakura are obvious to their evil plans and are as shocked as the rest of the school as weird things keeps happening to the brunet bitch.
I have a warning for all Anzu-Fans: BE VERY CAREFUL if you really want to read this! There will be Anzu-bashing, and a lot of it!
If you think it was bad until now, you shouldn’t read this!
It only gets worse from now on!
And I'm aware of the fact that she is a nice character in the show, she is not mean or something! But sadly, I read lots and lots of Fan Fiction with Anzu-bashing in it, and I happen to find it funny!
So if you are a fan or supporter of her, stay away from this, because I don’t want to hear you complaining about me being mean and unfair to her…
(Because I don’t really care about it, sorry.)

7. Attack of the Hikaris:
~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~&d eg;~°~°~°~°
Currently Ryou was together with Yugi on his way to his first class, their Yamis not around for once.
The white-haired Light rubbed his sore shoulder with a quiet murmur and he frowned as he thought of the reason for that.
"I swear Bakura is not all there in his head if he really thinks I will or even can carry around his damn rocket launcher! That thing is so fucking heavy; I have bruises on my shoulder from just holding this damn thing for a moment!
And at a school event nonetheless, where parents and teachers will watch us like hawks! It's supposed to be something like fun, not a competition between him and your Yami for who has the biggest!
And I'm not even talking about the fact that we would be arrested if someone sees it! They will think we are some terrorist who want to blow up the school!"
Yugi, who was walking at his side, nodded in agreement, his shoulder also a little bit sore:
"Yeah, but that’s Mariks job, not ours!
And believe me; Yami isn't any better than your tomb robber is. Bakura didn’t really need to hold a gun to his head to get him to play along with him, after all!
You know, most of the time Yami is really reasonable and sane, but as soon as he is together with another Yami, no matter which one of them, he somehow snaps and fools around.
Sometimes they act like toddlers, everyone wants to be the better and greater and stronger then the other, without thinking about the consequences.
I just pity Malik; yesterday we left him all alone with three crazy, insane Yamis and big mountain of dangerous, deadly weapons."
"Don’t worry about Malik, he can survive worse. And he had Marik with him to watch his back; he would never let anything hurt his precious Hikari-Pretty, after all.
And Malik isn't always as sane and innocent as he appears, so it should be okay, he can take care of himself pretty well."
"Sure, but alone against three Yamis… And his was the first one who wanted to play with the weapons."
"And Malik is the first who can distract him from any goal he may have!"
The both of them were standing in the hall to wait for the first class to start, and again they watched Anzu as she admired Yami and Bakura, even as they ignored her stubbornly.
She sighed like the lovesick fool she is and pink hearts were in her eyes as the two Yamis passed by, completely engrossed in a very important discussion:
The topic: The shadow realm and its usefulness to get rid of stupid salesmen who always have to show up in just the wrong moment to interrupt them when they do their very important Yami-things.
Like screwing their lights or killing evil things who want to steal their Hikaris…
Neither Yami nor Bakura spared an even a small glance in Anzus direction as she frantically waved at them.
But they made a point in looking right through her, they avoided her, turned their head away so they don’t have to see her and didn’t say a word to her, no matter how much she yelled at them for attention.
But sadly, that treatment wasn’t bad enough to get rid of her, because as soon as the Yamis passed her, she turned around and followed behind them.
Neither of them turned around, but there must have been some secret instinct who warned them of the coming misery, because both of them turned first pale, and then a sick green, at the exact same time.
But it could also have been because of the heavy cloud of perfume, which was around Anzu like solid fog.
Or maybe it was because of her shrill and high-pinched voice, like nails scratching over a chalkboard, which nearly shattered the windows beside them.
"Hi Yami! Hey Bakura! Good Morning, my dears, how are you at this fine morning!?
Are you all right, because I called after you, but it seems that you didn’t hear me! But that’s all right, no harm done, at last I was able to catch up with you now. Isn't easy, with my high heels, but its okay, I made it.
You look really great and handsome today; but then again, you look always great, no matter what you do or what time it is, right?!
Yugi and Ryou told me yesterday that the rehearsal wouldn’t take place, but just a few moments ago I heard from someone else that it was not true!
You all were there, but they told me you wouldn’t come and that I can go home after the last class!
Can you believe it?!
They just want to keep us apart, as always, I think they may be jealous, because you want to spent you time with me instead of wasting your precious time with them and then maybe even be bored!
But it was useless, because I found you anyway, even if it is a day too late and they won yesterday!
They can't stand between us forever, and they have to accept our relationship, instead of keeping you all to themselves."
'Hopefully they can! Stand between us, lie to her and keep her far away from us!
They can hurt her, torture her, torment her, mutilate her, and if they want, they can even kill her and sent her to hell where she rightfully belongs!
Sounds great to me, I really don’t mind!! Would even help them, but sadly, our Hikaris are way too sweet and nice to do anything like that on purpose!' Yami thought, he was sure she misunderstood something, since Yugi would never lie to her or hurt anybody.
Bakura blinked at her statement, and for some reason he believed her that it was on purpose.
'Ryou lied to her to keep her away from me? My innocent little angel really lied to her?! A real Lie, just for me?
Damn, I'm so proud of him!!!!'
But Anzu didn’t notice the fact that they really reacted to something she told them, even if it was just a little, and just kept ranting:
"And for the moment they are no where in sight, but its better this way anyway, because now we can be alone for a bit.
True love can't be broken apart, and your Hikaris should act like real friends for once and let as be happy instead of always staying in our way and bothering us!
Someone should tell them that they don’t act like good friends, but they refuse to listen to me when I try to tell them, they just get a distant look as if they can’t hear a word I say. Or maybe they just don’t understand what I'm talking about; I really don’t know what to do anymore!
Why would they do something so mean as keeping us apart when we are meant to be together?!"
As she finally seems to be finished with her rant, they wanted to let out a breath of relieve, even as they still tried their best to ignore her.
The fact that she was running after them like a lost stray dog and was talking with their backs got her a few strange looks from the other students around, but no one tried to help the poor, suffering Yamis.
Well, she is more like a very loud; very annoying dog, and lost of peoples would like to put her out of her misery:
"And since I wasn’t able to talk to you yesterday (thanks to two lying, jealous Lights) I dressed up for the both of you today. I hope you are not too disappointed that I wasn’t there yesterday, but I promise; from no on I will never ever miss a rehearsal.
After all, I have to help you, and if you don’t want to play a girl-part anymore, Bakura, I can do it for you. I really don’t mind, and it's not a problem for me, you just have to ask and I do it!"
'If I ask you to jump from an airplane without a parachute, would you do that, too? If I ask you to play with hungry sharks before they get feed, would you do that? Or when I tell you to go to Marik and tell him that you want to kill his Hikari? Or when I ' Bakura thought dryly, and Yami beside him sight, also a little lost in his own thoughts.
'Am I really such an evil person that I deserve this?
Sure, I mind-crushed a few peoples, and sometimes I sent things to the shadow-realm without knowing what they even are.
Sure I pick up a fight with the tomb robber whenever I get the chance, but that’s his own fault if he stupid enough to fall for it!
And I admit, seducing my Aibou in the middle of the class when he can't do anything was maybe not the best thing to do.
But again, its no my fault. I was bored, he looked irresistible, and we both had our fun. Its mean enough that my poor Aibou had to suffer every day in school, at last I can distract him a little.
And maybe I killed a few peoples for looking at him the wrong way. So what! I'm his Darkness, and it is my right to do that.
And perhaps I'm enjoying their screaming when they realize that they made a mistake by crossing my way.
But that doesn’t mean that I deserve the harpy, this is serious abuse of a Yami! It’s a crime, and it should be punished! Punished by death!'
"What do you think about my new perfume, do you like it, I got it especially for you, and it smells great, right?
I thought you would like the scent, so just had to get it; it took me an eternity to find the perfect one. And I was in a hair salon, to get my hair done, and now it is perfect, just the way I wanted it.
Do you want to feel, I know you wouldn’t mess it up, so don’t worry…"
'Yeah, I would like to touch it! Then I can use it to strangle you with it!' Bakura ignored the fact that her hair was to short for that, besides, where there's a will there's is a way. Right?
"Do you have an idea where to start with our plans, Yugi?" Ryou whispered, and Yugi nodded eagerly without taking his eyes away from the show/drama before them. Yami and Bakura tried really hard to behave and let her live instead of killing her as their instincts screamed at them.
"Yes, and a rather funny one. Well, funny for us, not so funny for her, but I will need your help to prepare everything.
But before we get to that, we will have to forewarn her nice and friendly, to give her a last chance to back down and leave them alone. To think about the mistakes she makes and how to correct them…"
"And you really think she will give up and forget about Bakura and Yami, just like that? After all this time?"
"No, hell freezes over before that happens! But we should give her a chance to retreat, you know, so she can't say we never warned her, and that we are mean and unfair and that she never had a chance.
But we both know she will continue anyway, and that will be her downfall! We have to make sure she regrets everything, and I swear we will…"
"Well, what shall I do?!" Ryou asked with sparkling eyes, and Yugi dragged him away with a very un-Yugi-like smirk and told him more about his part of the great plan.
Ryou giggled and nodded enthusiastically; he liked the idea, liked it a lot, especially if he thought back at the bitch flirting with his lover and thinking she could get away with it!!!
Well, she tried to flirt with him, since both spirits superbly refused to acknowledge her existence.
And that, 'sadly', lead to the fact that she was pushed and shoved around whenever she got in the way, but she seems to ignore the cold glares as well as the unfriendly treatment.
With a growl Bakura stepped hard on Anzus foot as she ran around in his way to get him to look at her and maybe even talk to her.
She didn’t even notice that it was totally on purpose.
The thief blinked at her in fake surprise: "Oh, I didn’t see you."
By now he had enough of her and didn’t want to ignore her, he just wants her to be gone!
Now!
Far away from him!
Overjoyed she beamed up at him, finally he noticed her, since she was talking to them since quite a while without an answer!
But she suspected that they where so deep in their thoughts that they don’t even noticed that she wasn’t a just a beautiful daydream, but that she was really here with them.
(Yeah, sure! That’s the reason…)
"Oh, don’t worry, my dear, you don’t need to say anything. I know how terrible sorry you are."
"Yes, if I had noticed that it was you, I would have kicked you harder!"
The insane girl pouted for a moment, and he hoped he had offended her so much that she would just run away, cry in a corner and never come back again, or something along the line.
But to his great disappointment she crushed his little bit of hope as she tried to grab Yamis arm with a pathetic whine:"Yami… Bakura is mean to me! Can't you tell him how very un-nice it is to say such a thing? Please? Pretty please? For me?
Do you know why he is in such a bad mood today? It is such a beautiful day; everyone should be happy and lucky, and not so gloomy! Is it because you couldn’t see me yesterday? But I'm here now, it's not that bad, just forget about that terrible day, we are together now!
Don’t you now something to cheer him up a little?"
'Just get lost, and we all will feel a lot better!' Bakura thought darkly while he looked around:Now where is his sweet fluffy angel all of a sudden?
Just a few moments ago he was standing together with Yugi and looked pleasantly alluring, and just a blink later the both of them where gone!
Why couldn’t Anzu vanish instead of the two angels, everyone could be happy and enjoy the nice day!
But sadly there was no time to search and ravish the Lights, as the bell rang for the first class, and everyone run to their class.
The only good thing was, that Anzu, too, had to go now, even if she was much slower then everyone else. But better late then never.
Bakura sighed with relief:"Thanks god, she's gone.""Don’t worry, she will come back.""Yeah, I fear so."
"What, the great thief king is afraid of a mere human girl?"
"And you are not, pharaoh? She's not a mere human! And somehow I doubt she even is a human at all."
But before Yami could give an answer they where interrupt by a very annoying and very cheerful voice they both knew and dreaded:
"Hey, guys, what are you doing, can I tag along, I want to help you, can I, can I, please? Please? I want to play with you, what do you plan, can I help you?
I want join in, come on, play with me, we are all Yamis here, and Yamis should stick together! So tell me what's going on, or I tell Malik that you don’t want to let me play with you!"
"Oh no, please not! We just got rid of one pest, we don’t need another one!" growled Bakura, as Marik threw one arm around his shoulder, and the other around an equally irritated Yami:"So tell me, what are we doing? Did your Hikaris kick you out of class, too?
Mine did, and that is really mean, because normally he let me help him with his tests and exams, but today he told me to just go away. Just like that, without any reason, and I don’t know why, but it is very unfair and mean!
Don’t you think that, too?
You do, right? Right?
And I don’t even know why that is all of a sudden…"
Marik pouted sadly and he sounded a little lost that his Hikari would abandon him in such a cruel way, after all the times he took over his body to write those boring tests for him!
He was always proud to be able to help his Hikari-Pretty, and now he just told him to stay away until the long break at noon…
"Well, maybe it is because you keep drawing knives and blood and corpses on his papers. And teachers usually don’t like that very much. A bloodbath is not the answer to everything, you know?!"
Marik and Bakura starred at Yami like he had lost his mind, or a second head, or blue and pink dots:
"What the hell do you mean, it's not the answer?!"
"Of course a bloodbath is a good answer, no matter what the question was!!"
"A bloodbath is always an answer!"
Both shook their head unbelievingly: "What kind of Yami are you?"
"It's a shame, really!"
"You're too soft; you don’t appreciate a good massacre."
"Maybe we should take you with us for a little fun and we show you the benefits of being a Yami."
"Don’t worry, we will heal you, little pharaoh."
They nodded earnestly, while Yami blushed an unhealthy shade of red.
"You are crazy, that’s what you are, the both of you! It's no wonder that the teachers constantly try to send your Hikaris to a couch doctor!
They really think they need professional help if certain some ones always draw pictures on their homework and tests!
It's your entire fault alone if you do things like that, so don’t go and whine about it. One day they will come, with their white car and their white uniforms and their white jackets, and then they take your Hikaris away!"
Bakura and Marik stared at him with wide eyes before they smirked.
"So that’s it! Don’t worry, let them come, they can try to heal the duel monsters then."
"Wouldn’t be the first time that someone tries to go after our Hikaris, and until now they all regretted it."
"They come, we kill them, and everything is fine. You shouldn’t worry so much."
"So, what do we do now? What do we play? Scaring teacher? We could talk to them in Spirit-form, so they think they hear things. Or we could play with the fire-alarm…"
The former pharaoh shock them off and shock his head irritated:"I don’t know what you plan to do now, and frankly, I don’t give a damn, but I don’t have time to waste with you!
Do what you want, but I will start to learn my text, then I'm over with it and have more time for my Aibou.
Because I don’t want to look like a fool who is too stupid to learn some lines when we stay on that stage in a few weeks!
And if one of you dares to make me look like a fool on stage, it will be the last thing you ever do in this life!
Because I will kill you until you're death!
And there will be no way in hell for you to ever come back, like you did from the shadow realm! It will be worse, get it?"
And with that the vertical-challenged pharaoh stormed outside to sit down under a tree, alone with his book and without the two Yamis to bother him.
Bakura and Marik shared a questioning look: "What's wrong with the little midget?"
Marik hopped around and giggled: "I know it, I know it! I bet he doesn’t care about what anyone else thinks, but he doesn’t what to humiliate his Yugi in front of all those peoples!"
Together the Thief and the Psycho went away to terrorize the workers who where still busy building the stage. It is really not easy to work properly when you have to have to keep an eye open for students (or Yamis) who steal the tools or change the construction-plans if you don’t watch out for them.
While Bakura and Yami where distracted by a hyperactive, underemployed Marik, they didn’t notice that neither Yugi nor Ryou where in their class.
They decided to skip the beginning of the first class to start their own, evil plans to torture a certain evil, Yami-stealing bitch….
(Okay, hold on for a moment, we make a short break at this point, to take a quick look down to hell:Hmm, yes, just like I thought:
Frozen over; deepest icy winter in hell.
Everything is white, arctic wind blows over frozen lava, fluffy snowflakes are trickling down softly, and the devils have a happy snowball fight…)
Quietly the two 'innocent' Lights are sneaking through the empty halls to Anzu's looker to hide their 'little' warning.
Ryou was still a little bit worried if this is really a good thing to do, but he opened her locker anyway:"What would you have done if I couldn’t open the lock for you?"
"Oh, come on, Ryou! You are such a long time together with you beloved tomb robber, you just have to learn a trick or two from him!"
Yugi put his surprise in and quickly closed the locker again as if nothing ever happen, as if Ryou never opened it like an expert.
After that they hurried back to their class since the class already began some time before and they don’t want to miss more than necessary.
The teacher was surprised as they showed up, since the two of them never where late before, and so she thought that they wouldn’t show up for class.
"Ähmm, sorry, but Yugi didn’t feel well, and I didn’t want to leave him alone." Ryou explained shyly while they sat down on their tables, both Hikaris blushing softly at the lie.
But the women didn’t notice that they couldn’t look her in the eyes, she thought the blush was just because they where late.
But since it was for a good reason, she wasn’t mad at them.
Who know what could happen when an ill student was running around all alone and no one knew about it.
She looked worried to Yugi, who blushed even more under her gaze and wiggled around on his chair.
"Are you really all right? If not you should better go to the nurse and lay down for a bit…"
"Ähm, no thanks, I'm all right. I think ate something wrong, but it's over now." Yugi told the worried women, and she nodded warily.
"All right, but if it gets worse, you will go and see the nurse."
Yugi and Ryou where glad that she believed them and they looked down in their books, patiently waiting for the first break
They know that Anzu wouldn’t go to her looker then, because they had the same subject for the first two hours, but they had something else for her.
The surprise in her locker was for the second break, when she needs other books.
Yugi wrote a short message on his PC for her, which they wanted to put on her table when no one was looking. Just a little warning, and if she came to her senses they would even be so nice and tell her that someone put a trap in her looker.
But they didn’t really think she would get it…
In the first break Anzu stormed over to the Hikaris and stood threatening before them as soon as the bell rang. She had questions, and she wanted answers before they could get away or hide behind their Yamis again.
"Okay, I know you two lied to me yesterday, and I want to know why! Now!" she put her hands on her hips and tapped impatiently with her foot. There are so many things she could do now; but no, she had to stand here and waste precious time with the midgets!
Yugi crooked his head to the side and blinked in surprise at her harsh tone:
"But Anzu! How can you say something like that!" stunned and bewildered he shock his head "I would never lie, you know that!"
And surprisingly he didn’t even blush as he said that with a gentle smile.
While Anzu pestered Yugi with her questions (and her dark glares), Ryou slipped around their backs to Anzus table to leave their message for her. He placed it so she could find it easily and went back to join Yugi.
Yugi stood there with big eyes and his bottom lip shivered, he looked hurt and offended as Anzu glared down at him:
"I'm absolutely sure you just lied to me to get me out of the way. You want to have Yami and Bakura all to yourselves, like always, but you will never get away with it."
'Oh, sure we want them! And sure will get away with it! And we will prove it, if we have to!'
"But you can't hold me back for long, they are mine, both of them and you can't take them away from me, no matter how hard you try. Your time is over, so go and find someone else and leave us aloe!
All your pretty lies and little delusions are useless, because they only want me! So you can't get rid of me so easily!"
"But why should I lie need to you, Anzu?
I don’t have a reason! And I really thought that the rehearsals are called off, we both believed that! I heard that from someone, and I didn’t want you to wait for us all alone there, when no one will come!
I just thought that you don’t want to be the only one who showed up and waste your time and then be mad at us for not telling you!
We just tried to be nice and help you; we would never lie to you! Because you shouldn’t lie, that’s not very nice…"
'No, we don’t lie. We just bend the true a little…'
His small, pale hands were folded and he blinked cutely up to her as if he couldn’t hurt a fly, like innocent in human form.
His big, amethyst eyes are shimmering with crystalline tears in his disappointment as she refused to believe his good intentions.
Petite shoulders slumped and he shivered and sniffed a little at her harsh words.
Slowly but surly Anzu attract the attention of the other students, since she wasn’t exactly discreet with her loud screeching voice and her dark glare.
And as Ryou too joined Yugi with his equally cute and innocent puppy dog eyes, she lost her determination. There is no way to resist the cute look of one Hikari, let alone two.
Maybe it was really just a little misunderstanding?
Could it be that it wasn’t on purpose like she thought?
Some of the students were watching Anzu closely, and they where not happy with the way she attacked and threatened the helpless and innocent boys with her 'false' accusations.
Because Ryou and Yugi are not even able to tell a simple little lie without blushing bright red and stutter at every word.
Everyone knows that!
Anzu huffed angrily and irritated:This is not the kind of attention she wanted from the other students, and she doesn’t want to deal with that at the moment, it is way beneath her dignity!
And with those thoughts she turned around and stalked away with her nose high up in the air…
Or in plaintext: She stumbled away with her high heels, tripped at the door over her own feet and tumbled rather clumsily out of the room.
As the screeching witch came back shortly before the break was over, she finally found the cleanly folded letter waiting for her.
"Wahhhh!!!!! I can't believe it, my beloved Yami wrote me a sweet love-letter, I bet he wants to meet me after school for a date and …"
Yugi and Ryou, who knew exactly what really was on that paper, just rolled their eyes at her. Other students looked at her as if she lost her mind, and the way she bounced around without even looking at her letter it really seemed that way.
"Anzu? Maybe you should read that letter before you start to send wedding invitations out? Maybe it isn't from Yami!"
"Then it's from Bakura, what's the difference!? I have a date with them, so your lies yesterday are pointless, no matter if it was on purpose or not!"
"And when none of them gave it to you? We would have seen them if they where here, don’t you think?!"
"Ah, bullshit, I know what stands inside even without reading it, so go away and stop interfere in things you don’t know a thing about!" She snapped angrily at poor Yugi, because she just refused to believe that that love letter came from anyone other then Yami or Bakura.
Or that it isn't even a love letter to begin with.
The bell rang, the teacher came back, and everyone went back to his or her seat.
With a wide grin plastered on her happy face Anzu finally opened her letter, forgetting everything around her in expectation of good news.
She simply ignored the teacher, after all, some things are more important them this boring lessons!
Her whole future could change and be determined in the next few moments, who want to listen to some teacher in such a case.
Her eyes glittered with happy tears, and she bounced in her chair and nearly jumped up to run out and search for the two Yamis to tell them that of course she wants to be their girlfriend.
And how much she loves them.
And how happy she is that they finally asked her to be with them.
'Explosion in
Three…
Two…
One…'
Yugi counted in his head, while he and his fellow troublemaker watched her anxiously. With every passing moment it was harder and harder not to smirk, or even laugh at her.
Slowly her eyes widen in shock, her face a mask of disbelieve and fury, and she trembled:
"What??? This is absolutely impossible, there has to be some error or something!!! A damn joke! This is a sick, evil, cruel kind of joke! Who would do something so mean and heartless to me???? What have I done to deserve that?"
She screamed suddenly so loud that everyone looked at her startled and worried because of her sudden outburst. The insane girl ignored them all, even their teacher, as she leaped up from her chair.
"What is impossible? Is there a problem I should know about?" the poor women asked as patiently as she could, even when she didn’t like the girl and her rants and disturbances one bit. But as a teacher, you can't choose your students…
(But she's surly not the first who whished she could ^___^)
"This, this is impossible. This letter is not from my beloved Yami, and neither is it from Bakura, but it should be from one of them! It’s an incredible audacity, that’s it!" and she waved her letter in the teachers face before she grabbed it to read it herself.
"It says that you should leave Yami and Bakura alone, because they are already taken, they are with someone. And they have no interest in you, except for how far you can stay away from them. You shall stay far away from them or face the consequences, which wouldn’t be pretty…
And?
Because of that crap you bother my class?
Just stay away from them and everything is all right, how hard can that be?
Problem solved, and now sit back down on your butt and shut up, please, or I have to kick you out!"
'And god help me, I will enjoy it!'
"It's no crap! They are really mean and nasty lies, slander, offense, crimes, of course Yami and Bakura are not taken, and with whom should they be anyway!? I would know it if they where!
They don’t cheat on me; I know for sure, they would never do that!
And who would be more worthy of them than me!"
And she began to weep and sob loudly as if her world is coming to an end.
Yugi shook his head unbelievingly, and Ryou rolled his eyes:'I guess that went wrong. Or not, since we never really thought that she would give up on them anyway. She just doesn't understand a friendly warning. Well, we will have to give her an unfriendly one then…'
The poor teacher let her cry for some time in hope she would stop on her own as soon as it got too embarrassing for her.
But she refused to stop before Yami or Bakura would come and promise her that the letter is just a mean lie, so she was sent out to spend the rest of the hour outside the door.
'She can flood the hall if she wants, at last I can teach in peace.'
As finally the bell rang for the second break Anzu had calmed down again and even told herself that that letter was just a joke from some jealous girl who wants to scare her away that way.
She refreshed her makeup, flushed the letter down the toilet in the process, and now her world was all right again.
Clueless she made her way to her locker to put her books away while he hummed a stupid tune.
Not long and Yami and Bakura would be hers, she has no doubt about that.
They spent the whole morning with her, after all, not with their midget lights, which precautionary had made off and didn’t show their faces around her.
They even came too late this morning!
'Guess they finally realized that they lost. About time!'
Just a pity that Ryous hair is no longer pink, it looked so funny yesterday, but that’s not important now.
Anzu saw Yami and Bakura walking before her in the hall and run immediately after them to tell them about the mean, phoney letter she just received.
And both Yamis hang on her every world and listen intently to everything she said eagerly.
They couldn’t tear their eyes away from her face, and surly they thought about how they could swear her their eternal love and devotion in the most romantic and original way.
They cast her loving glances from the side, and their hands nearly touched hers as they walked down the hall together.
Time seems to slow down and for a moment they forgot that they were still in school. She could clearly read in their eyes that they would love nothing more then to hug and kiss her until she forgot how to breathe.
(Is she really living in the same reality like anyone else? Or is she on some drugs or something?)
Because in reality (the right one!) Yami and Bakura where just watching out for their little lights who mysteriously vanished to thin air in the morning and where nowhere in sight since then. They didn’t even talk to them through their mind link, so the Yamis didn’t know what the two angels where up to.
But knowing them, it couldn’t be anything bad…
But Anzu didn’t know that, and she didn’t even want to know that!
The Yamis were looking right through the insane girl following them yet again, and they ignored her complaining about some false love letter, as well as her ranting about friendship, undying love and eternal happiness.
They just tried to spot Yugi or Ryou somewhere and maybe also to get rid of her in the progress.
Marik on the other side couldn’t help but giggle, as well as his teasing them as he watched Anzu pulling on their shirts and whine while she totally ignored their bored glares and their soft growls as she (unsuccessfully) tried to get their attention.
And so it was really not a surprise when Marik and an already irritated Bakura suddenly rolled over the floor, swearing and growling at each other, while Anzu stood by and didn’t know what the hell was going on with them.
Malik tried to drag his Dark away, but Marik entangled both of his hands in Bakuras long, spiky hair and refused to let go of him, no matter how much the thief king struggled and kicked around.
"Let go of me, you damn insane psycho, you're pulling out my hair!"
"But you started everything, you struck back at first!"
"So what!? Do you really think the king of thieves would let a pathetic little worm like you laugh at him? Don’t make me laugh, moron! If you make fun of me, I kick your ass into next week.
Don’t you have a Chemistry lab to bow up, or some teachers to scare to death?
Get lost, leave a hole in the area, and please take a long time to come back!
I would say, don’t ever come back, but I guess that’s too much to ask for…"
Marik suddenly let go of the white strands and blinked stupidly at him without moving or even actually seeing him.
"Ähmm, Marik?" Bakura asked carefully and waved his hand before the other Yamis eyes, but he didn’t get any kind of reaction out of him.
He just sat there and starred at the wall.
The insane Yami didn’t even respond at the worried voice of his own Hikari, who bent over him and shock his shoulder, at first gentle, then a little harder.
A few whispered words, which no one beside Marik overheard (or even wanted to hear), also didn’t get any kind of reaction out of him, and Malik was now really worried about him.
He glared reproachfully at a nervous Bakura, who was also sitting on the floor and starred worried at the two of them."Great, you did it, now you've broken him! What the hell did you do to him?!"
"Why me? I didn’t do anything to your psycho! A few hits on the head never hurt him before, so why now?! Usually he doesn’t break that easily! Maybe you did something to him, who knows what you psychos do at night!"
Then Bakura noticed what he said and he shook his head:"No, wait, don’t answer that! I don’t want to know!"
Marik in the meantime ignored everything and everyone around him as he was caught up in his own thoughts. He saw all kind of chaos and destruction pass by before his inner eye. Exploding Chemistry labs, screaming students, crying teachers, sirens, alarms and anarchy everywhere…
A weird sound suddenly ripped him out of his beautiful daydream.
For a moment he wondered how it was even possible that he could hear it when he just sat there without doing anything!
Why could he hear screams of pain?
Because there was no mistake, he know that wonderful sound exactly, after all, it was one of his favorite sounds, right after the moaning and gasping his Hikari could make at certain occasions.
And not only he could hear them, but everyone else, too?
Normally he was the only one who was able to hear the voices in his head…
Anzu was still in her own fantasy world, after Marik and Bakura started their little fight, since she was not interested in anything Marik does.
It was always easy for her to watch them in break, since they tried to find their missing Hikaris by their lockers, and her own locker is (sadly) nearby.
There was no escape, no matter how much they wanted.
She was just about to take out the books for her next class as suddenly a big, red boxing glove came out and hit her right on her nose.
She cried out in shock and held her nose as she, yet again, landed hard and rather ungraceful on her ass.
She could hear the mean, gloating laugh of a jack-in-the-box while she shock the initial dizziness away.
It seems that the devil had the boxing glove in his hands before he let it loose on her.
Now the boxing glove rolled lonely over the floor before one of the witnesses picked it up with a grin and a snicker.
The giggling devil itself just swayed for and back on a spring and laughed at her happily.
Just like some of the surrounding students, with the Yamis (naturally) amongst them.
The colorful box in her locker had yellow question marks, and looked a little small to fit the jack-in-the-box as well as his boxing glove, even when it was obviously the case.
The little devil was in his box, with his big boxing glove in his hands, and waited patiently for his victim.
As she opened the locker she somehow triggered the devious trap, even though she couldn’t understand how that was even possible.
She was absolutely sure that she didn’t put that evil thing in there to make a fool of herself and give the others something to laugh about!
But maybe it is a present from someone, like an anonym admirer, and it wasn’t supposed to hurt her? Then the boxing glove was just an accident?
Suddenly the devil with the violet cloak stopped his laughing and giggling, and she was very glad that is was finally over.
Sadly (for her) she celebrated too early.
Because the thing had a very important message, just for her, and now he yelled this message out in the world so everyone could hear it:"Keep your hands to yourself; you will never have them, let it be a warning!
Keep your hands to yourself; you will never have them, let it be a warning!
Keep your hands to yourself, you will never…"
The little devil yelled over and over again with his mockingly, shrill voice.
This is not funny!
At last, Anzu saw it that way, in contrast to everyone else, who found it very amusing, especially as she blushed brightly in shame and embarrassment.
The devil with his big grin had a little knife in his hand, red paint dropped down as he swayed and constantly told them his message. From his mouth with little vampire-fangs came the same paint, and a puddle of it gathers at Anzus feet where she still sat on the floor.
Yami and Bakura, who watched this with interest, looked at the same time over to Marik.
But Marik just shock his head defensive and flapped with his hands:
"No, no no no, don’t even think about it! That’s not my fault, really! The idea is not bad, a little unbloody maybe, but not bad. With a few changes maybe… but it wasn’t me."
Anzu noticed that Yami saw everything and grasp at his arm to complain again:
"Yami, dear, you have to help me, someone is really mean to me! I bet someone is jealous, because you're my boyfriend, and Bakura, too.
And now someone is envious and wants to hurt me! I'm so afraid, please protected me! You both are so strong and powerful; you will keep me safe, right?"
Hopefully she looked from Yami to Bakura: "You will find the one responsible for that, right? You can do it, I'm sure…" She whimpered and hoped that one of them would take her in his strong arms to comfort her.
That they head off to search for and punish her evil attacker.
Or that they just hug her and tell her how much they love her…
But surprisingly absolutely nothing happen!
Yami even tried to pull his arm away from her tight grip, and Bakura completely ignored her pleading glances.
Shocked at their lack of support she sank down on the floor and tugged sadly at Bakuras leg while she still clung at Yamis arm.
The thief made a step back and let her sit on Yamis feet, just to get out of her reach. She was after Yami at first, so he should deal with her!
Thick tears rolled down her puffed cheeks and messed up her makeup again. The hit wasn’t that hard, but still she clutched her nose and sobbed as if it was badly broken and she would die.
She sniveled and whimpered in pain while she looked up from the corner of her eyes to make sure Yami and Bakura where looking at her, that they noticed how much she was suffering under this cruel torture.
Yami looked silently down at her, considered it for a moment and nodded slowly: "All right, I try to find something out. But only if you instantly let go of me and get lost! I don’t want to see you around."
"Oooohhh… that’s soooo sweet of you!.." She giggled and jumped up from her spot on the floor. The pain was forgotten as she obeyed Yami like a trained dog.
"Oh Yami! I know you don’t want me to see such a violent and vicious scene, right?! That’s why I shall stay away until you tell me to come back, that I'm safe, right?! You’re the best…"
And with a lovesick sigh she bounced away after blowing them a kiss.
Yami was just glad that she was finally gone until he noticed that his friends looked at him with wide eyes and bewildered faces.
"What? What is your damn problem? If you have something to say, say it and get over with it!" the former pharaoh snapped irritated as the other two Yamis pocked him in the chest.
"Are you crazy? You're ill, right?"
"Who are you, and where is our Yami?"
"What did you do to him? Give him back, now!""Or are you possessed? From whom? What kind of monster can do that to a Yami?""You don’t seriously want help her, right?" Marik and Bakura asked and starred at him with big eyes and open mouths.
The Puzzlespirit growled and slapped the offending fingers away:
"Of cause I do that, I have to know who I have to thank for this! And maybe we can even throw them a party…"
"Who do you want to throw a party?" Yugi asked curiously, as if Ryou and he didn’t stay around the corner the whole time to watch everything without being seen by the others.
Their Yamis were so engrossed in watching Anzu as she got hurt, they didn’t even sensed that their Hikaris are near.
They had to wait until their laughing subsided and then they came out without showing how much they enjoyed the whole chaos in the hall.
At last now the lights could understand a little better why Malik loves to help his Dark with his plots and schemes:It's just so much fun, and good as stress reduction.
Especially since no one ever suspected, much less caught, you ever…
"Don’t worry about it, Aibou. Just an idea, you know. If we survive that damn school festival we could celebrate it afterwards."
Yami hugged Yugi gently and rubbed his cheek against tri-colored hair so he wouldn’t have to look in those deep amethyst eyes.
It is just so hard to say not the whole true and nothing but the true, if you get lost in sparkling seas of the brightest violet.
Yami found it absolutely impossible to lie to his lovely light.
'Hmmm' Yami hummed happily in his mind 'Much better than that clinging harpy and her shrill screeching…'
He deeply inhaled the sweet scent of Yugis hair, enjoyed the warm body pressed so tightly against his own, the soft skin under annoying clothes and-
*Riiiinnngggggg*
At this moment Yami would love to strangle that Ra-damned bell and couldn’t suppress a soft growl.
When glares could kill, an innocent little bell would be stone dead.
Yugi patted his head soothingly: "Och, my poor, poor Yami, don’t be sad, we will carry this on later, okay?"
But the comforting effect got a little lost because Yugi couldn’t help but giggle friendly at Yamis pout.
//But I want you now…//
With a teasingly wink the little light turned around and, after a quick kiss, he run with the other two Hikaris to his next class.
/Sorry Yami, but I have class./
"Yes, poor Yami, can't fuck his little Light…" Bakura mocked and patted Yamis head in the same way Yugi did just moments ago.
But compared to before, as Yami smiled dreamily, all the thief earned was a hard kick to the shin.
"Ouch! You damn shrimp, I'm going to…" yelled Bakura and hopped around on one foot, holding his injured limb.
"Your own fault, if you touch me with your dirty paws. Keep them to yourself and I don’t have to hurt you." Yami growled back and crossed his arms over his chest with a deadly glare.
Marik looked from one to the other, his head tilt to the side, before he smiled insanely:
"I want to play, too; let me play with you! What are we playing? Tell me, tell me."
And he grabbed the two shorter Yamis and ruffled through their hair until they looked like after a strong storm…
"Hands off, you insane Psycho!!!!" both of them yelled at the same time.
Two uneventful hours later, shortly before lunch break:
Sadly, Ryou and Yugi had to accept the fact that Anzu didn’t learn a thing after her 'unfortunate incident', and their warning totally escaped her tiny brain.
She really believed that Yami would find her attacker and throw them at her feet to make them beg for forgiveness.
"Yeah, as if he will ever find it out that we are that enemy." Yugi whispered, and Ryou nodded: "Sure, and even if they find out, they will never believe it that we are able to do that. More likely they will think that it is some evil plan to blame us for something we would never do. So, we go according to plan?"
"We have everything we need? Did you get them?"
Ryou hide his head behind his book as the math-teacher looked in their direction. But her stern look could not prevent them from whispering with each other about their plans for the brunet devil.
Said devil sat a few rows before them, with fresh makeup and a happy smile.
'But we will wipe your stupid smile from your stupid face. We will make sure of that, don’t worry, bitch… We are just at the beginning with you.'
With a 'friendly' smile, Yugi hurried to Anzu as soon as the bell rang for the break. She was about to run away and search for Yami and Bakura, to ask them if they already found and punished her attackers as the short Hikari caught up with her.
"Hey! Hey Anzu, wait a minute, I have a message for you! From Yami!"
Every caution was forgotten as she snatched the paper from Yugis hand, while she squealed and hopped around as if she lost even her last brain cells: "I knew it, finally he realized how much he loves me, how much I mean to him and how much he needs me!
I bet he calls me to him to tell me how he punished my attacker…"
Overjoyed she beamed at Yugi without noticing the irritated roll of his eyes. It seems that she already forgot that she got another false love letter today…
She refused to even think that this letter also came not from Yami, but someone else. That it was just a joke, or a trap, and that she got her hopes up in vain…
"Will Bakura also be there? The letter says that Yami wants to meet me in a storeroom, in secret and only me alone! Me, not you! You hear me, Yugi?
He wants to spend the whole long break with me, that’s so romantic and unforgettable and perfect! I'm going to meet my Yami and keep it a secret and no one will know, just like he wants, a secret rendezvous…"
'And she calls this keeping it a secret? Yelling around so everyone can hear her?' Yugi rolled his eyes again as he watched her skipping away, singing that she goes to see 'her' Yami…
Ryou, who stayed behind, came up to join Yugi so they could follow her:
"And? What happened?" he asked, even as Yugis smile should have told him everything.
"She fell for it."
Ryou blinked for a moment: "Just like that? Without questions?"
"Without even thinking twice about it."
"Then she really deserves what she gets. As if they would ever really write her…!"
Yugi gave his white-haired partner in crime a curious look:
"You know, I wonder if they can even write. In our language, I mean."
Ryou scratched his head thoughtfully: "I'm not sure… But I don’t think so… I mean, Bakura is not always exactly a patient one… I don’t know if he would have the patience to learn it…"
"Yeah, but they had to share our bodies to do anything at all before they learnt how to come out of their items of their own.
And I never heard that Yami was very surprised by cars or anything else as he first played his shadow games with the bullies in school.
I never heard him freaking out because of a machine or something…"
"Bakura too found his way quite good, for an accident spirit who stuck a few thousand in a golden item." Ryou agreed. "But then again, there are a lot of blenders and alarm clocks and toasters in the shadow realm who disagree with you.
And Bakura is not the only one who sent them there because he thought they try to eat him. I'm not sure how that works…"
"Maybe they do that because its fun? I mean, we know how much a Yami enjoys it to sent innocent things in the shadow realm or plain destroying them. And the whole 'I thought it want to steal you'-thing is just an excuse…"
Both shock their heads confused. It was useless to think about it, since they had more important things to concentrate on. There are certain things in live that you just have to accept, since thinking about them just gives you a headache.
In the meantime, with Anzu:
With in anticipation shaking hands she smoothed some wrinkles out of her skirt before she reached for the doorknob of the storeroom.
Her hearth was nearly beating in her throat; now all her dreams would come true, and it was hard for her not to squeal and scream in happiness.
But she needs to stay somewhat calm until Yami told her what he wants to tell her.
Slowly she opened the door a bit, looked around if someone was watching her, and then slipped quickly inside in the pitch-black room.
She failed to notice the two pairs of amethyst and doe-brown eyes watching her with excitement, hidden behind a corner.
"Yami?" Anzu asked in the dark and felt around to find the light switch.
She didn’t once stop to wonder about the fact that she never received an answer, that there was not a sound was heard, not even breathing or the rustling of clothes.
Even after anything that happened so far, she couldn’t believe that it could be a trap.
After searching along the wall she finally found the cursed light switch somewhere beside her.
But as the light went on, there were no warm, red eyes; no intimate hugs; no fierce kiss; no passionate declaration of love waiting for her.
No, what's waiting for her was a huge flock of dark, startled fluttering bats, who latched at her clothes and tugged angrily at her beautiful hair.
She trashed and twitched wildly around and tried desperately to get rid of them, but it was in vain. Blindly she fumbled around for the doorknob and tried to keep the devious little monsters out of her face.
Much to her relive she finally found the door and, after running twice against the wall in her hurry, she runs screaming out in the hall. She yelled desperately for help, the bats closely behind and around her.
But no matter how fast she run, she couldn’t lose them, the black animals fluttered around her head, but amazingly enough she was the only one they where after. None of the other students who crossed her way was attacked.
As if they are trained to go only after her…
Ryou, Yugi and Joey, who joined the curious Hikaris, watched the whole thing with great interest and, in the Hikaris case, with smug satisfaction.
"Wow, someone is really out to get her. That’s the second accident she has today, and it is just noon…" Joey told them, but he didn’t look like he would pity her very much. And he didn’t made a dash to help her either.
He just stood there, with Ryou and Yugi at his side, without knowing were they are the reason she has those accidents.
"Yeah, I wonder who that someone is…" Yugi murmured softly and tried really hard not to laugh, and Ryou nodded:"It would be really interesting to know who it is." And he winked at the other Hikari as they finally made their way to the cafeteria to meet the others there. Joey looked from one to the other for a moment and had the feeling like something isn't quite right here, but he couldn’t place his finger on it, so he let it slide.
So Yugi and Ryou don’t even try to help her. She is always after their lover, so it shouldn't be a surprise.
'I should eat something, maybe then this weird feeling goes away…'
"I'm not sure, but I think it’s a little unbloody for Malik or Marik. All she got so far is a bloody nose and some scratches…"
Shaking their heads, they went to the cafeteria for their daily dose of poison, also known as 'food'.
After they opened the door, they wished they hadn't done that.
Marik is jumping from table to table and stomped soda cans and cups flat, liquid splashed around and even the last students fled from the room, screaming in terror.
The insane Yami hummed a happy tune and rushed quickly to the kitchen to get more tomato sauce. After all, it makes more mess then a few cans, and you can throw it around and make it run down the wall in funny patterns.
Yami hides behind an upturned table in a corner and shoot at everything that moves (and Marik), with slobbery spaghetti.
Its seems like he made his own trip to the kitchen, because he had a whole pot of noodles beside him.
As he finished them off, he grabbed some plates and managed that three of them were stuck in Mariks spiky hair before he vanished in the safety of the kitchen.
Bakura on the other hand is sitting under another table, tossing around plastic-knifes and forks and he yelled "Die, pharaoh, die!" over and over again.
Since he couldn't reach Marik, how was on his table, he went mostly after Yami.
Bakuras hair is red with sauce and noodles dangled in his face, and his pants have wet spots since soda flows from the table down on the floor. It seems that Yami hit him a few times before the thief could hide under his table and how he throws back from under his shelter, just to notice that it was a good place to hide since Yami sits also on the floor.
But at last he gets noodles to cast back at the other nuisance.
Marik finally came back from the kitchen, armed with a big pot of and a huge grin:
"Dinnertime!" he yelled from the top of his lungs and shoot at Yami as well as at Bakura.
Yami snatched the noodles, which smacked behind him against the wall, threw them back to the sender with a loud battle cry, while Bakura just swore, and cursed as even more red sauce smacked his face. Yami also got hit, and his hair had suddenly another shade of red then normally, and a few of the noodles dangled from his spikes like tinsels on a Christmas tree.
Malik just sat in the middle of the mess on the floor, a few squishy noodles on his shoulder and a look of bewildered despair on his face.
He just looked up at them as he noticed his fellow Hikaris; with big, helpless eyes like he couldn’t quite believe what's happening around him.
Every other student was long gone, the only sound that was heard in the room was the bickering of three aggressive Yamis, the wet smacks of bad food and the clattering of plastic-dishes.
"Damn it! Bakura, stop it, now!" Ryou yelled at his thief who completely ignored him. He just threw a lonely orange at Marik, and the other Yami throw his pot after him.
Of course, Marik couldn’t let that slide, and suddenly flew a chair through the air.
"HEY! That’s not fair!" Marik roared as he ducked down and threw his scoop at Yami, since he was busy laughing at them and didn’t pay attention.
"Okay, that’s it! Stop it! Everyone sit down on his damn ass and shut the fuck up! NOW!!"
Ryou screamed at the raging Yamis and stomped his foot angrily. No Hikari like to be ignored by his Yami, after all…
Immediately the whole room was silent, and everyone looked at the huffing Hikari with wide eyes, their jars nearly on the floor as they heard him curse.
For a moment they starred at him and couldn’t move in their shock, before Yami, Bakura and Marik plopped obediently down on the ground one after the other in the middle of the room, but with a safety distance between them.
The white haired Hikari brushed a shaking hand through his hair as he looked around the room:
Noodles with tomato sauce stuck everywhere.
They stuck on the wall, on the ceiling, over the lamps, in the window and all over the floor and the Yamis.
Tables and chairs are knocked over, and three of them were stacked in the corner together with a few chairs to make Yamis cover.
Cutlery is spread around, and a few forks and knives even stuck in the wall like arrows. This was really a feat, since they were made of plastic.
Drinks are dripping down on the floor to make it slippery and slippery, from the kitchen came a burnt smell, and no teacher was in sight.
Where the hell are the teachers always when you need them?
Are they afraid and cover somewhere, or what?
Marik had a pot as helmet over his head, Yami was armed with two cooking spoons, and Bakura has a chair as a weapon still in his hands.
All three of them look like little children:
Soiled, dirty and guilty.
Guilty in all points.
"Okay." Repeated Ryou, now more calm then before as he pointed at the cafeteria and the mess they made. "What are you doing here?"
The Yamis looked down on the ground before them and couldn’t answer, but for once they couldn’t look at their Hikaris either.
"He started everything, he was laughing at me just because I seriously wanted to lean my lines for you, Aibou! I had to defend myself!" Yami blurt out and pointed with his spoon accusingly at Bakura beside him.
The poor pharaoh looked like he really want to pout at the injustice of the whole situation, and Bakura stuck out his tongue as answer, while Marik giggled at them
Very mature.
Really.
As mature as a three-year old toddlers.
Of course, Marik had also something to say, since it doesn’t explains his part in this chaos.
(And since when need Marik an excuse to cause havoc?)
"And then Bakura hit my little Hikari-Pretty with noodles! And fife of them hit him! I had to safe him, I just did my job as a good Yami! I did what I had to, it's my right and my duty to keep my Hikari safe from all evil!"
(Noodles are evil?)
"Then why the heck are you even here, Marik?" mocked Bakura from the side, and the insane Dark growled at him.
Yami watched the both of them with a thoughtful glint in his eyes:"You should be careful, Marik. You remember what he said about your Malik, and what he wants to do to him, right? That thing with the tree and the knife…"
The other Yamis glared at him for interrupting their 'friendly discussion', while Mariks eyes widen at the memory:"You said you want to tie him against a tree! So that’s your plan, you still intend to steal my Hikari!"
"He is a thief after all, Marik. That’s what he does." Yami told him, and it was hard for the Puzzlespirit not to smirk at them as they snarled at each other with a dark glare.
"So what, psycho! You said you want to wait for Yami to kill me and then first take my ring and then the whole world!"
"You are right, Bakura! He always watches out for Ryou! Maybe he wants more from him then just the Millennium-Ring…"
"You stupid psycho, you want my Hikari for yourself! And you dare to yell at me for being a thief? You are just the same, you filthy…"
"Be careful, Marik, the thief is tricky. You know him, he…"
"Yami! You are not helping!" Yugi interrupt him before Yami could stir them up even more.
Yami crocked his head to the side and blinked innocently up to his little Light.
His red eyes widen a bit and he smiled cutely and tried to act innocent: "But Aibou, I didn’t do anything…"
Marik ignored Yami, and the fact that he tried to manipulate him, and stood up to go to his Hikari. He needed his Hikari now, to feel that warm body against his own, to breathe his familiar scent; just to make sure Bakura wouldn’t really try to take him away.
(Yes, Yami is sneaky and he knows the weaknesses of his opponents and how to use them ^___^.)
But after a look at the sauce-covered, tanned arms Malik fled to Yugi with a dramatic shriek, to hug him tightly as if he could hide behind the shorter one.
Marik looked very disappointed as the blond Hikari refused to touch him, and Yami barely stifled a loud growl as he saw them.
But it seems that Bakura heard him anyway, because he flashed him a knowing smirk.
In the meantime Malik whimpered and sobbed in Yugis hair:"I tried to hold them back, I really, really tried, but they weren't listening!
No matter what I do, no one ever listen to me! Yami went after Bakura, and Bakura fought back, but he hit me, and after that Marik joined in too! And then they all freaked out and they ignored me completely, like I wasn’t even here in the same room with them!
Marik bounced from table to table and laughs, Bakura growls at the students, and Yami tried to send a teacher in the shadow realm because he told him to sit back down!
And then they all got really nuts!
They yelled at each other and tossed food around and ignored me and yelled at each other!
Even Marik ignored me!
My Marik!
Just like that!
He didn’t even look at me, you know!"
Marik starred at him with big eyes and stretched his hand out to touch and stroke and comfort him. He wanted to take him away from Yugi, who just touched his poor light…
He never intends to ignore him!
Certainly not, that was never his intention, surely Malik knows that?!
How could he do something so cruel to his poor, sweet, helpless Light?
Marik looked like he also wanted to cry as he saw Malik crying on Yugis shoulder…
His shoulders sagged down as he watched his light sadly and even his spiky hair seems to drop down instead of sticking out like usually.
But that could also be because of the spaghetti with sauce, which stuck in his hair together with a fork and a plate…
Yugi stroked the poor, distressed light in his arms over his back to clam him down a bit, even as he didn’t quite understand the reason for his breakdown.
After all its not very odd or uncommon that the Yamis make a mess or cause havoc, it happens all the time, that’s really nothing new.
It may be a bit rarer that Yami was involved, but Bakura and Marik…
Marik made another step in their direction, but stopped as Malik made a step back and pulled Yugi with him.
You could nearly see Mariks hand clench and his mind work; he wants his Hikari back!
"Och, poor Marik! His Malik doesn’t love him anymore!" Bakura mocked him happily, and the insane one threw his helmet at him.
There was the hollow sound of metal against head, and Bakura stopped laughing to rub his poor, abused head.
"Serves you right, thief." Yami smirked at the other Dark and ducked the plate he threw at him.
Yugi frowned disapprovingly over Maliks shaking shoulder at the bickering Yamis: "Maybe you three should go and clean up before you even think about touching us. You look like you bathed in the food!"
Without another word they retreated as they don’t even got a single small little kiss as goodbye. Their Hikaris avoided them, like they couldn’t stand the sight of their childish Yamis, covered in food and not so happy anymore.
As if they where ashamed of them.
But as soon as the Yamis where gone, Malik looked up from Yugis hair and grinned, and everything was all right again:"Well, that should be a lesson for them. There is nothing like a bad conscience after a food fight."
Yugi and Ryou also laughed at the memory at the embarrassed and guilty faces.
"Anyway, Yami doesn’t need to think about hugging me before he wasn’t in the shower!
I can't just go home or in the puzzle to shower just because I felt like having a food fight with bad food!"
"And maybe they think about it the next time before they make a mess."
Malik and Yugi starred at Ryou skeptically, who immediately defended himself:"What? I can always hope!?"
Malik patted the white head calmly: "Our poor, poor Ryou, he really believes it. I think he also still believes in the Easter-bunny and Santa Claus…"
"We shouldn’t destroy his dreams, he will learn the true soon enough when he's a little older…"
But before poor Ryou had a chance to say something, the door opened behind them and Kaiba came in with his laptop under his arm.
He looked around the desolated room, gave Joey a short glance and then turned around to leave without a word.
He didn’t even want to know what happened yet again.
Malik, Yugi and Ryou shot Joey a questioning look, who blushed so brightly, cars on the street would stop because they think he is a traffic light.
"Joey?"
"Are you all right?"
But the blonde didn’t answer as he suddenly remembered the events from the day before…
How Kaiba had attacked him, the wall in his back, the hand on his skin, warm lips on his own…
The teacher who caught them…
Joey gave the Hikaris a short look and then the door, before he blushed more and murmured:"I think I should… what I mean, I better… Ähm..."
"Maybe you should go after Kaiba? To see if he's all right?" Malik suggested and Joey nodded quickly and was gone just a moment later.
"You know, if he blushed a little more, it would dye his hair red."
They could hear Joey yell as the door slowly closed behind him:
"Stop and wait, you arrogant bastard!
You let me down yesterday, asshole, do you even have a clue how fucking embarrassing that was for me?
You could have warned me that someone came!
Or you could have waited until we were somewhere else instead of the middle of the school to pounce at me and kiss and feel me up!
And then you run off, you fucking coward!
You ran away and left me alone with that stupid old hag!
Do you know how she looked at me?!
Hey, stop running away and look at me when I talk to you, moneybags!
You can't ignore me the whole day just because you feel like hiding with you laptop in some dark corner, or I lay that thing to rest in the next pond!
You can run, but you can't hide, because I find you and then you are in for it!
I will kick your sorry ass, do you hear me…"
They lights couldn’t help but giggle as they heard him rant : "What do you think, should he let him know that everyone can hear him?"
"Someone should perhaps…"
Malik shock his head wit ha grin: "Well, we could, but were is the fun? He will notice it on his own, sooner or later…"
Then the laughing Hikaris also left the destroyed cafeteria before a teacher could show up and blame them for the mess their Yamis made.
It was nearly a miracle that neither the teacher nor the director came to stop them anyway, so they don’t want to push their luck.
Somewhere in the distance they still could hear a blonde puppy barking angrily as he followed his master obedient out in the garden…

Okay, the next chapter could be a little shorter, because there will be only the first real rehearsal, the afternoon of the same day. And it will also have the reason why no teacher showed up for the food fight and what Marik did to them.
At first I planned to put it at the end of this chapter, but then it got way too long.
Those 10 pages will be a separate chapter, but I have to chance a few things
The longer I work on this story, the longer it gets… At the beginning I planned 3-5 chapters, and now… It is a lot of fun to write, I always get nice reviews, and when I get started I have the silliest ideas…
I'm very sorry for the long wait, but somehow I got writers-block as I was working on the last chapter of 'where do the babies come from'. I think it was a bit because I don’t like to write the end of a story, somehow I'm never quite happy how it comes out…
And then I tried to work on this, and I changed here a bit, and there a lot, and then I weren't happy how it looked, and I chanced more…
And then I was so frustrated that I gave it a rest, and what do you know…. After a break I cut it in two chapters (again), wrote half of this chapter in just a week and somehow I'm more happy with it now.

//But I want you now…//
With a teasingly wink the little light turned around and, after a quick kiss, he run with the other two Hikaris to his next class.
