In case if some of you are wondering how I got the songs. I got them while I was playing DDR and liked how the music sounded and my brother was kind enough to print out the lyric for me. In other words… I DON'T OWN THE SONGS OR THE CHARATERS!!! *sigh* Well, I guess that's about it. *hears the door bell* What the heck?

Atem: Surprise.

Wha!?! Atem? What are you doing here?

Atem: Being your co-host

… *falls to the ground*

Atem: … Better than I expected to be. *shrug*

Ch. 3: Feeling
~Next Morning~
Yugi woke up and yawned as she sat up. She looked down at Atem, who had his arms around her waist and was still asleep.

-Yugi's POV-
Ever since we become friends, we had many sleepovers. Most kids would do it on weekends or vacations, but we're different. Atem's apartment wasn't far from the shop, practically walking distance, so we do it on the school days sometimes. School days are when Atem stays over at the shop and I over to his on the weekends. But, since Papa Aki work is either here or way over at Cairo, Atem stays over at the shop until he gets back.

When I was little, I went over to the apartment when a thunderstorm hit, and I'm terrified of thunderstorms. When it went to its `grand finale', I nearly cried my eyes our, because I couldn't sleep. Atem, out of nowhere, wrapped his arms around me.

“It's okay Yugi, you're not alone.” He said comfortly. He became my `teddy bear' ever since, but I never told him that.

When Papa Aki died, he stayed over at the shop for three weeks. There was a guest room for him to stay in, but he stays in my room. While he stayed, he called me `Hikairi' or `Chibi Tenshi'; in my language, it means `light' and `little angel'. When he calls me by those names, it made him feel better while he's helping Grandpa around the shop. At night during those weeks, he crawls into bed with me.

The first week he came, nearly broke my heart seeing him cry himself to sleep. The second week he had nightmares and made it worse for his condition. But when the third week came along, he didn't have nightmares and was only crying a little at night. And every morning he would apologize for his behavior and I would always tell him that it was okay and understood how he felt. When he was about to head back to his apartment after three weeks he told me that I'm the best friend anyone would have.

-Normal POV-
Atem woke up with a stretch. “I hate mornings.”

Yugi giggled. “Wake up, wake up, it's a brand new day and everyone is waiting.” She sang.

“I hate it when you do that.” He said as he got out of the bed.

“Only way to get you up.” She said.

“Yes, I admit,” He said as he leaned to her side. “I can't ignore your angelic voice in the morning.”

She giggled as she gently shoved him. “Come on, we have to meet up with the others at the beach, remember.”

“Of course I remember!” He said as he grabbed his clothes for the day, while she did the same.

Moments later, she got out in a simple white dress and tan sandals and he walked out in black swim shorts and a matching swim top that seem to hug his chest.

“We better get going to get the best spot.” Atem said grabbing a beach bag they set up earlier.

~Beach~
It was an unusual warm day in the fall, but everyone wants to enjoy it before the cool weather comes in.

“Last one in the water is a roast duck!” Moukaba shouted as he and Lisa ran to the water.

“I'll take my chances.” Seto said as he typed on his laptop.

“Would you quit being a CEO for a moment and have some fun!” Joey said. “And maybe some sun.”

“You're rhyming again.” Seto pointed.

“So!”

Malik just laid there in the sun while Marik is just about to pour water on her.

“That ass never learns, does he?” Bakura said to Ryou as they heard a screech.

“It's not my department Kura.” Ryou said as she took a sip of her lemonade as they watched Marik running away from Malik.

Tristan and Duke were playing tag with Moukaba and Lisa while Atem and Yugi were on the shore line, picking up shells while splashing each other.

“God I don't want to go back tonight!” Atem said. “I hate going into the plane and sitting there for hours while my ass goes numb.”

Yugi knew he does. “I know.” She said carrying the shells with her dress.

He sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “I'm sorry.”

“For what? You're doing something that no other person our age would possibly do.” Yugi said sounding positive.

Atem smiled a little. “Yeah, but it's not so much fun without a friend to talk to.”

“What do you mean?”

“Like this. We could talk about some random crap, and could give a damn what anyone thinks.” He sighed. “While at the dig site, its one thing every damn day.”

“But it has to be worthwhile after you find something.” She said trying to hide her blush.

He smiled. “That's what I like the best about you.” They stopped. “You're always thinking positive, even when everything seems pointless.” He placed both his hands on her shoulders. “And you always make a person feel better, even when you're not trying to.”

Yugi blushed.

Before either of them spoke, a wad of sand came out of no where and hit Atem at the back of the head.

“Who's the smart ass that threw that!” He shouted and looking at the four in the water.

“Sorry dude!” Tristan called. “That was for Moukaba!”

Atem groaned. “Great, now I got sand in my hair.”

Yugi giggled.

“What?” He asked.

“Your expression.” She pointed to his face.

“What about it?”

“It's funny.”

“How's that?”

Yugi calmed down. “Well, you're usually seldom or serious.”

“Really?”

“You don't notice?”

“Guess not.”

That made her laugh. “Well, now you know!”

Atem laughed as he headed to the water to get at least most of the sand off.

~Later~
The bags were packed and the scent of pizza was there.

“So, what are you going to be doing after you get back?” Grandpa asked.

“Save the jet lag till I get to my room, and hopefully be out for a day.” Atemu said taking a bite of his pizza. “And than deal with those bastards till the next time I'm allowed to go home.”

“Don't they know that you're just a junior?” Grandpa asked.

“As if they give a damn.”

“Well, its getting close to that time.” Grandpa said as he collected the dishes.

Atem sighed as he looked at the young girl, who continued to write, when a knock was heard at the door. “I'll get that!” He got up and headed to the door. Moments later he came back with a brown box.

“What's that?” Yugi asked as he sat down.

“I didn't expect this to arrive early.” He said s he gently shoved it towards her. “It's for you.”

She looked at the box for a moment before opening it to find another, smaller box that was wrapped in gold paper.

“It's not a trick gift.” He said.

She picked up the box and opened it to see an odd shaped tear drop.

“Open it from the top.” He said.

She did and gasped. The tear drop opened up to a lotus flower. “It's beautiful Atem!” She said as the other went around and took the small lotus to place a silver chain on it and placed it around her neck.

“I thought of you when I saw this.” He said as he looked at her. “It suites you.”

“Really?” Yugi said admiring the jeweled flower.

He nodded. “It has symbols on the back for good luck and protection.”

Yugi blushed. “Thank you Atem.”

“Anything for you Hikairi.”

The happy moment was interrupted by Grandpa's shout. “You can't be serious! There has to be a mistake!”

They went over to where he was and eves dropped.

“Since when was she transferred? … But that can't be right… I NEVER SEEN THE DAMN PAPERS!!”

“What's going on?” Yugi asked, mostly to herself.

“There's no way my granddaughter is being transferred to a private boarding school! Especially the Black Orchid!”

The twosome's eyes went wide upon hearing that.

`The Black Orchid Academy! The all girls' school?' Yugi thought. `But that school is for girls who were drug addicts!'

“Fine, I'll see you in two days… Bye.” Grandpa hanged up with a sigh. “We're out the door now!” He said grabbing one of Atem's bags.

~Airport~
They sat in silence while other people were doing many other things.

“Don't worry Yugi,” Grandpa said. “I'm sure it's a huge misunderstanding and will be all fixed.”

Yugi nodded as she rested her head on Atem's shoulder.

“All boarding Cairo, Egypt. All boarding Cairo, Egypt.” The speaker called.

“That's me.” Atem said as they got up. “Well, see you around than.” He said, somewhat hesitant.

-Yugi's POV-
“Y-Yeah.” I said. I couldn't explain it, but I felt as though this will be the last time I'll see him. But, the feeling wasn't scary, just… there.

I've always been sensitive. Atem once said that I have sixth sense to know what's happening, just by knowing what I feel. But, this feeling now… I couldn't call it, but I knew it had to do with me.

“Hey.” Atem said and placed his hands on my shoulders. “It's like I always say, `No matter where we are, we'll always be together'.”

I nodded, hearing that speech so many times still makes me feel better, but that feeling still held there.

“You know why?” He asked, which made me confused. “Because there's an unbreakable connection between us, and it will always be there,” He messed with my hair playfully. “No matter what.”

I laughed feeling better. He always makes me feel better when he does that.

“Final call for boarding! Final call for Cairo, Egypt!”

“See ya Tenshi!” He said as he walked backwards to the gate before turning around.

At that moment, I felt that feeling again, only worse. As soon as I couldn't see the plane anymore, was when the feeling settled to the pit of my stomach. On the way home, not only did I feel that feeling, but I also felt regret. As if, I should have told him right then and there how I felt. Those feelings stayed with me, even when we got home and went to bed. I put on my pajamas and worked on the puzzle that night till I fell asleep. But I was completely unaware of what was going to happen when the sun rose up the next day.
