`Nothing's gonna stop me now tonight
Nothing's gonna stop me now
I fly for you
I'm dreaming of you
My heart is crying for a stranger's name
Tonight I need to play a brand new game
I know I will find you
Just look around you
I feel tonight that all my dreams come true
You'll never give up thinking for me too
You are the light
In this dark night
While the night is passing by
I'm gonna make you fly
I want you to stay by my side
Nothing's gonna stop me now tonight
Nothing's gonna stop me now
I fly for you
I'm dreaming of you
Have you ever thought that this could be
This feeling so strong between you and me
Just close your eyes
There is where love lies
I hope you are the hero of my dreams
Everything seems strange also for me
This can't be wrong
My vision of love'
Ch. 35: The Final Defeat of Zorc!
Back in the battlefield of Egypt, we see Atem, the Pharaoh, still leaned over Heba, or Yugi, at the moment. For the moment, everything seemed to still, with the exception of the chaos that was still going.
Zorc laughed when he saw the touching sight. “Don't worry, Pharaoh, I'll make sure she passes on… along with the shadows!” He taunted. “Speaking of which, how about I get rid of both. Right now!” He said as he gathered energy for an attack, not noticing a thing light surrounding the two.
Hasan saw this and acted fast. Once the `Zorc Inferno' was executed, he went in front of the attack and used himself as a shield. `Pharaoh…' He thought. `I will protect you with the last of my strength… As well as for you… Yugi… maiden who holds the greatest power within.'
At that moment, the young king finally got up and looked at Hasan, whose mask started to crack away. Some pieces came off from the low jaw and mouth, exposing half the face, which show blood trickling down the middle and side of the mouth. “Hasan!!” He called, only to hear the final message.
`Your promise is the key… to victory…' Hasan thought as he disappeared completely.
“I'm impressed you survived that…” Zorc said, since he didn't see Hasan's final act of loyalty.
At that moment, the young girl started to stir and opened her eyes, partly.
“Yugi!” Atem said as he helped her up.
She looked at him, slightly confused. “What?”
He smiled sadly and he didn't have to say anything when she had a look of realization.
“Is there anyway to defeat Zorc?!” Said a guard.
“Fools…” Zorc said, making the two look up. “There is no way to defeat me… My next attack will kill you all!”
“You know something…” Yugi said, gaining the young king's attention. “I've just about had it with this power and destroying chit-chat.” She looked at him and smiled. “Let's finish this, together.”
Atem felt her hand grab his and he smiled as he returned the grip.
“My shadow power will shatter your dreams! Your fear of death… Your pathetic attempts to save your lives… They end now!” Zorc said as he unleashed his attack.
`My son…'
Atem heard a voice in his mind.
`Justice is in the name of the gods!'
`Father!' He thought as he father's voice continued.
`The Pharaoh is the living embodiment of the gods… Unite the Three Hidden Gods in the name of the King!'
They stood up and faced the God of Shadows.
“It's over Zorc!” Yugi boldly called out.
“The seal has been broken!” Atem called out.
“It's useless!” Zorc called back. “Die, Pharaoh!”
They held their already clasped hands together tighter as light surrounded them a moment ago came back, brighter then ever. The light became a shield that absorbed the attack.
“What…?!” Zorc said as he thought. `My attack is being swallowed by the light!!'
The two looked at each other and nodded to each other as Yugi focused her energy as Atem looked back at Zorc with a determined look. Soon, a small hole in the sky was formed and a bright light was shining through.
“What is this light?!” Zorc asked to no one in particular as he looked up at the almost brightened sky.
“Now, Zorc!” Atem called out. “This is the power of unity!” He lifted his and Yugi's joined hands up in the air. “With the power of my love, I can call forth the Gods!”
Yugi turned beet red at that, which seemed to give out more power then needed.
“The Gods…” Zorc echoed. “No… You can't…”
Then the light in the sky began to get brighter.
“Oh yes he can.” Yugi said with a smile.
“Wh-What is this?! Light is breaking through my shadows…” Zorc baffled.
“GAZE UPON THE THREE GODS!!” Atem called out as the three gods appeared. “Ra, God of the Sun!! Slifer, God of the Heavens!! Obelisk, God of the Earth!!” Yugi's form was radiating with kept in power and he knew she was ready. “And in the name of the King! I unite the Gods into…” The light surrounding Yugi shot up into the sky as the three gods turned into three orbs that merged together.
Then they said together. “The Creator God of Light, Horakhty!!”
A god appeared in a female form and shined almost as brilliantly as the sun. She had golden metallic wings, golden head armor that looked like a hawk as well as the upper body armor with a blue gem in the middle of the breast plate collar. She wore a cloud white battle dress and her skin was pale sky blue. Her face held only a seldom gentleness, but emotionless at the same time. She opened her pale royal blue eyes and looked down at Zorc, who seemed afraid for the first time since summoning.
“Horakhty…” He said.
“Zorc, Lord of Shadow!!” Atem shouted. “I banish you from this world!” Then he and Yugi called out the Light God's attack.
“Sublime Light! Djeseru!”
The beautiful god, or goddess, summoned an orb of light to surround Zorc.
`Impossible…' Zorc thought. `He fused the three gods in the name of the King… He summoned the Ultimate God, The Creator…' Then he was destroyed for good.
As Zorc's body was engulfed in flames, everyone stared in awe. As the last part of Zorc burned to ash, the young king began to think. `A demon born of the darkness in people's hearts… Zorc Necrophades has been defeated…' He then closed his eyes and moved his head down. `But so many people lost their lives…' He thought about Siamun, Kalim and Shada when he heard a soft voice.
“Atem…” Yugi said as she looked at the other's saddened expression.
He looked at her and smiled. “We did it… Yugi.”
She nodded. “Yep.” She then looked confused. “But I don't understand one thing though… Why wasn't I able to summon Horakhty earlier?”
“That is because you only had half of the pieces” Horakhty said. “While others could summon one or more creatures as long as their ba holds out, you, Lady Yugi of Light, hold my power in safe keeping.”
“Hold your power?” Yugi echoed, a bit more confused. “But wait! If I had your power all this time, then why wasn't I able to use it? And why did I even have it in the first place?!”
The Creator giggled, which seemed to echo throughout the area. “You have used it, when you were training with Mahado, but was only a fraction of the full potential and on occasions when a loved one was in danger. Surely you could remember those times.” The young girl blushed to a color of a tomato. “Anymore of that power would have killed you. As for how you acquired such a power was destiny in itself.”
“Destiny?” Yugi echoed once again questionably.
“Yes… If not for that, you would've never have the will to survive in this time and your time.”
She remembered the crazy events in her life, from her childhood to the adventures she and her friends been through together.
“But…” The Creator continued. “At the same time, you have no need for my power for you have a special power of your own.”
“A power of my own?” Yugi questioned.
“You will see in time, but now it is time for me to return to the Realm of Light.” The Creator said as she brightly faded. “Take care, and don't lose you light, Lady Yugi.” With that, she completely disappeared.
“What did she mean by that?” She said as she pouted. “And what's with the `Lady' business?”
Atem chuckled, seeing this very adorable. But the peaceful moment ended when the land started to shake again.
“What the-” Yugi said as she held onto Atem. “Zorc's gone, isn't he?!”
Atem looked over at Isis and Mana, who woke up from focusing on her spirit ka. “Isis! Mana! Who else is left?” He asked.
“I haven't seen Lord Seth for awhile…” Isis responded. “Nor the High Priest of the Shadows, Akhenaden…”
Both the young king and the young girl looked alarmed.
“A portion of Zorc's power is with Akhenaden!” Yugi said. “That's why there's still chaos going on!”
Atem nodded then thought. `Akhenaden… is he still alive?' He then held Yugi by the shoulders and looked at her straight in the eye. “Yugi, make sure everyone get to safe ground!'
Her eyes widened. “You're not thinking of finding and facing Akhenaden on your own, are you?” She asked, but knew the answer.
“Yugi?” Mana said. “Is that your real name?”
The young girl looked at the other girl and nodded. “Yep, but I don't mind being called Heba.”
“But it's your name!”
Yugi didn't know how to respond as Atem started to leave. “Atem!” She called.
He looked back and called back. “You have temporary command Yugi! I will return!” He continued to run.
Yugi took a deep breath and shook her head before cupping her hands around her mouth and shouted. “You better! Otherwise you're in so much trouble when I see you in the Afterworld!” She saw him wave, signaling that he got it, and sighed. “That man of mine.” She said as she looked at the only priestess, a magician-in-training, and a huge army of men that still stand. She looked at Isis for advice. The priestess just smiled for reassurance.
She took a deep breath as she sported a demanding look that the young king would put on. “Alright men!” She called out. “In the name of our Pharaoh, I will take control of command until he returns! I, Lady Yugi of Light and part of the Pharaoh's court, command you to find any refugees and journey to safer ground until the Pharaoh signals us to return! Now go!”
“Yes, Lady Yugi!” The men replied as they went out and searched for survivors.
“Wow, nice job.” Mana commented.
“Well, when your boyfriend is a king, you tend to get some personality traits from him.” Yugi said with a nervous giggle. She looked back to where Atem took off, which was towards the palace, or what's left of it. `Atem…' She thought. `Please, I pray, be safe.'
While with the young king, he ran towards the almost destroyed palace as he thought. `I feel the pulse of the land… The shadows still linger!' He didn't know why, but he knew that the two missing priests in action were at the palace. `Seth!!' He thought, knowing that the high priest was in danger, but he didn't know what.

`If I never knew you
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be
And if I never held you
I would never have a clue
How at last I'd find in you
The missing part of me.
In this world so full of fear
Full of rage and lies
I can see the truth so clear
In your eyes
So dry your eyes
And I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you
If I never knew you
I'd be safe but half as real
Never knowing I could feel
A love so strong and true
I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you
I thought our love would be so beautiful
Somehow we'd make the whole world bright
I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong
all they'd leave us were these whispers in the night
But still my heart is saying we were right
Oh if I never knew you
If I never knew you
I would have no inkling of
If our time has gone too fast
How precious life can be...
I've lived at last...
I thought our love would be so beautiful
Somehow we'd make the whole world bright
I thought our love would be so beautiful
We'd turn the darkness into light
And still my heart is saying we were right
we were right
And if I never knew you
If I never knew you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Empty as the sky
Never knowing why
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be
And if I never held you
I would never have a clue
How at last I'd find in you
The missing part of me.
