The Battle of the Roses-Prologue

El Cid Girl-Note that I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh or the Game the Duelist of the Roses well I do have the game but I did not make it .The plot for this story is very different C.Rosenkreuz (or Seto) falls for someone and there are a few different characters such as Princess Raven Le Fay of Morgana and Armand the III Prince of the Priest and Priestesses and some other ones. The story line is kind of changed. And there are some mystical items like the Millennium items. And instead of 16 rose cards there are 20 rose cards 10 red 10 white. Well I will give you the info on this chapter

Items- (they are known as the items of Merlin) and these items can turn into small charms for necklaces

The Sorcerers Jewel / Owner Princess Raven/ Power-can give a Sorcerer or Sorceress unlimited power and to see who's near and know what's going on

The Scepter of Truth / Owner Queen Juliana of Morgana / Power-Can give any to see into the Past and Future and can move things with telekinesis

The Medallion of Light / Owner Prince Henry (Yugi) Tudor / Power-can eliminate the use of the other items

The Staff of Merlin / Owner Pegasus Crawford / Power-Can control people and see into the present

Star Staff / Owner-Princess Adena Rosenkruez (this is one of the characters that comes at the end of the story) / Power-Can get a duel monsters card and awaken the monster sealed in the card

The Sorcerers Sword / Owner Prince James Rosenkreuz /(anther character that comes at the end of the story) / Power-can get the power a duel monster by using a duel monster card

The Earrings of Change / Owner C. Jean / Power-can be used as a weapon, shape shifting, and future seeking

The Light and Dark Orb / Owner Bakura / Power-Can give a person a split personality and lets the owner get control of one of the other items' power

The Noble Knight's Sword / Owner C.Rosenkreuz (Seto) / Power-high defense, and a elemental power of inferno (this item comes at around the end)

Okay so here's the prologue story

The British Empire in the 1480's

The War of the Roses a power struggle between the houses of Lancaster and York to decide a royal successor was nearing an end with the York's well in the lead the Rein of Richard the III was but a step away and in France Yugi Henry Tudor was forced to live a life of exile. The Lancastrians were rendered powerless against the York's and their cards of sorcery wielded by 'Seto' and his 9 followers who served under the flag of lord Crawford a powerful York nobleman. Lacking a duelist to their cause defeat was imminent for the Lancastrians with this in mind Margaret Mai Beuafort of Lancaster secretly requested a Sorceress Princess to summon a duel is from another age

Chapter 1 A Beautiful Site

The year is 1485 and it's a cold night. The war has been going on for almost 30 years and Richard the III's rein was near. And near The Lake of wisdom a young sorceress was mediating or controlling her powers. Then she sang a song she had the most beautiful voice. And who knew there was a man on her tail.

That man was C.Rosenkreuz also known as Seto a member of the white rose team. He followed the lovely voice he needed to meet the one who was singing it. He was like person hypnotized by a siren. He finally got to the Lake and met the beauty. He went up to her "Who are you?" He asked

"I'm Raven Le Fay" she responded "And I know who you are Christian Seto Rosenkreuz! Captain of the Rose Crusaders"

"So you have heard of me!" Seto responded "And I know you're a sorceress"

"What's it to you if I am?" Raven spat "And no I will NOT give you the spell for the evil white rose cards!"

"I don't want the spell!" Seto shouted. But it was too late she already left.

When Raven left the area she dropped her jewel unnoticed. Luckily Seto picked it up. (So she dropped her jewel should I give it to her? But where is the kingdom of Sorcerers and Sorceress?)

Back at the Kingdom for Sorcerers and Sorceress Raven was discussing about her upcoming marriage to Prince Yugi Tudor. Her mother planed the marriage with her best friend Mai Beaufort of Lancaster. They said that after the war was over and if Lancaster won they will be married. Raven never liked the idea. Yugi was her best friend in the whole world and friendship was enough.

"Mother if this war is over do I really have to marry Yugi?" Raven asked

Her mother Queen Juliana responded, "Well of course Raven. If he becomes king of England then you will become queen of England and Morgana."

"But mother" Raven started nervously "I don't know if I want this"

In the middle of the discussion C.Jean the only female commander in the war against York came by.

"Sorry for the interruption my queen" Jean said "But I need to take you to the Brest of Bretange, Mai Beaufort of Lancaster needs to see you."

"Sorry Raven we will talk more tomorrow" Juliana said, "I will be back in a week. Be careful when going alone, and maintain the castle."

"Yes mom I'm not 10 years old any more" Raven responded "Bye"

Raven was home alone. She went up to her room then suddenly it hit her. She forgot her jewel back at the lake.

"Oh no I left my jewel! I have to get it………."

"…Raven!" It was Seto he was outside of her bedroom terrace.

"Seto what are you doing here?" Raven gasped.

"I brought your jewel I was just being nice but if you don't want it" Seto started sarcastically.

"Fine!" Raven quickly responded "Climb in from there and come in." Seto climbed in to her room. As soon as he climbed in her gave her the jewel she left behind. "Raven…I'd like to give you a… how should I put this…?"Seto said.

"A compliment on my singing?" Raven responded.

"Yes…how'd you know?" Seto asked.

"I'm a sorceress I can read your mind." Raven said, "And no I will NOT give you the spell for the White Rose Cards."

"Its getting late I have to go…" Seto responded, "I was thinking do you want to you know mayhap now about each other…?"

"…Meet me tomorrow at the Rose Fields twelve a.m. sharp don't be late." Raven said. The next day in the late morning Raven was picking some roses a little hobby that she liked to do to calm down. Later on Seto came by. "Afternoon!" Seto said.

"Didn't think you would show." Raven said, "Seeing as how YOU are the enemy."

"Well now I'm here." Seto said then he looked into her basket. Raven had a lot of white roses. "You like White Roses?" He asked.

"Well…Yes." Raven responded, "Just because I'm on the Red Rose team doesn't mean I have to be against them besides white is my favorite color."

Later on they decided to sit down on a bench under the tree to talk about things on their mind. It was one of those beautiful days in March. Seto was really into getting to know the beautiful sorceress princess; he looked at her and saw how beautiful she was. Sure at that moment he got soft.

"Being a commander in this war is hard." Seto said as he responded to her question. "Lord Crawford will always get on my case for not training my troops and my followers right."

"It's been harder for me." Raven responded, "My father passed away when I was ten."

"Your father passed away?" Seto asked, "I'm sorry."

"Its okay." Raven said.

"How did he die exactly?" Seto asked.

"Even though the battle at Tewksbury was six years before my father fought bravely, but all the horrors of war going on was too much for my father to take it then he started to lose his own true power and with that he passed away my mom was left to raise me and she became queen of our kingdom and with that my mother made sure that I don't lose my own sorceress energy. I really miss my father so much." Raven explained.

"I'm sorry Raven it must've been hard to lose your father at such a young age." Seto said, "How old are you exactly?"

"I'm eighteen I'm almost about to be nineteen pretty soon." Raven responded.

"Wow I'm eighteen too." Seto said.

"A young commander in the York army wow!" Raven said, "My friend Cassandra Jean is the only female commander in the Lancastrain army."

At that moment they were looking at each other's eyes and at that moment their lips finally touched. The kiss was lasting for like ever. Raven closed her eyes and started to put her arms around him she loved it she thought to herself that she couldn't be with him he was the enemy but she thought that he was a nice guy. And Seto longed for the kiss he was really in love with the sorceress even though he was part of the team that hated the friends of Prince Yugi. Then after that moment they broke the kiss.

"I…I…I got to go." Raven said in shock. "Nice talking to you."

"Wait!" But it was to late Raven already left on her horse to Morgana. Raven couldn't believe her eyes, she kissed Christian Rosenkreuz. Or more specifically he kissed her. But she thought that she'd had feelings for him as much as he had feeling for her.
