Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Yami Virus ❯ Losing The Battle ( Chapter 43 )
Kitty Ryou: Aww…Thank you! *hugs* I love it when people tell me how they like my story…feels special. I've been writing for almost 20 years. I don't plan to give it up.
Shadow of Light: Well, Aten wanted to make the cup pretty for Tristan….he just went a little overboard
Lady Elfskye: I'm going to get back to Yugi in this chappie. You're right. I had to get back to him sometime
Terra: I loved going to camp when I was a kid. So much fun…except when there was a beehive outside the door to our cabin.
Mariku182: I'll keep updating. I'm quite punctual with updates. The only time I miss is when we have a hardware problem. I'm not calling you weird. I always tend to give background info for people who read late. *hands Ra plushies*
lissete13: I could use that saying later. I'll try to fit it in.
tolazytologin: Vera got no sleep that night. Go Boys!
Seto lover and Bakurasgirl worshipper: Marik would never take advantage with Miranda the way she is. And Tristan is dangerous when he wants to squish a chibi.
Kura Magician girl: Nothing can stop Tristan from squishing those poor kids.
Valea: mmm…pastry. Marik and Miranda needed that cuddle time. They really did, not only from the story's POV, but also for the future stories
I Is Me: Love is all good.
Losing The Battle
Bakura's POV
When Fish-Boy turned the boat around, I closed my eyes and almost lost my balance. If I hadn't been leaning against something, I would have fallen overboard.
Maybe it was the sea unsettling my senses. I know this Ra-forsaken Yami Virus has already taken its toll on me. My hair is still gray and I still have some wrinkles left over.
I don't understand. Ryou offered half of his lifeforce to keep me alive. Don't tell me it's starting to run out!
Oh Ra……
I'm not ready to die yet.
Aria…..
Ryou….
I can't leave them yet.
"Hey, Mako, can you get this rust-bucket home already? I think I'm getting seasick over here."
Sitting on the deck didn't help. The seas were calm.
So, why does it feel like the world is spinning on its axis?
It was then that I heard my daughter call out my name.
The world….spinning…..
My hearing is going…..
Aria? Baby girl?
Ryou……
**************
Aria ran to Bakura, seeing him waver. Her father fell over on his side.
"DADDY!" Aria ran to her father and put a cool hand on his warm cheek.
Aria kneeled beside Bakura and called out. "UMI! MAKO!"
Umi ran to Aria and Bakura. "What's wrong with him?"
"It looks like he fainted!"
Mako called from the wheel. "Little Minnow, take the wheel!"
Umi grabbed the wheel and steered the ship as Mako grabbed the smelling salts from his cabin.
He ran to Aria and Bakura. He waved the smelling salts under Bakura's nose.
Bakura's eyes slowly opened. "Aria….."
Aria's eyes were wide with concern for her father. "Daddy, are you okay?"
Bakura blinked and tried to focus his eyes. A small, cool hand covered his cheek. "Where am I?"
"You're on Umi's boat, daddy."
Mako checked the back of Bakura's head. "You didn't hurt yourself. Maybe the sun was too much for you, Bakura. You should relax in the shade."
Aria ran to the cooler and grabbed a bottle of water for her father.
"Here, daddy."
Mako opened the bottle and Bakura drank quickly.
Mako dragged Bakura's thin form to the shade.
Aria kneeled beside her father and stroked his spiky gray hair. "Do you feel better now, daddy?"
Bakura looked over at Aria and blinked slowly. "I want to go home to your mother."
***********************
Mako opened the door and everyone turned their heads to see Bakura walking tiredly behind Mako.
Aria was holding onto Bakura's hand. "Mommy, daddy's not feeling well again."
Ryou ran up to Bakura and felt the yami's forehead. "What's wrong, yami?"
Bakura sighed and gave a yawn. "Nothing happened, Ryou. I'm fine."
Mako rolled his eyes. "Yeah, Bakura, you're fine. It's normal for you to sit down and faint for no reason."
"Sunstroke."
Umi shook his head. "My daddy and I have seen sunstroke before and that was not sunstroke."
"It was hot out, Mako," Bakura explained.
Mako put Bakura's hand in Ryou's. "You should get some cold cloths on him."
Aten ran to Bakura. "Daddy Bakura!" The chibi wrapped his arms around Bakura's waist.
Bakura winced as Aten hugged his hips. "Ow…thanks, Aten. It's…nice to see you, too."
Ryou put his hand on Mako's arm. "Thank you so much for bringing him home, Mako!"
"It's no problem, Ryou."
Aria jumped up and down. "Mommy, look at the pretty necklace Umi made for me!"
Ryou looked down. "It is very nice, Aria."
Umi hugged Aria and kissed her on the cheek. "Bye, Aria. Aten, you'll have to tell me how camp went the next time we meet. Goodbye, my daddy's friends…and especially, to you, Aria."
Aria blushed as Mako and her boyfriend left.
Ryou took Bakura's hand. "Yami, let's go upstairs and get you some rest."
"I don't need rest, Ryou," the yami whined.
"Yami, your skin is all flushed. Let's go lay down a little together. Come on."
Tristan stood up. "Otogi and I have to get back to shopping. We still have to buy some furniture for the apartment. We need new curtains in the bedroom. Otogi said the color clashed with our comforter on our bed."
Otogi sighed in defeat. "Tristan, the colors look horrid together! We don't want our bedroom to be a fashion disaster!"
"Who sees our bedroom but us?"
Otogi shrugged. "Well, I just want it to look……pretty."
Tristan let out a groan. "Why does it have to look pretty? Why can't it look…I dunno…normal?"
Marik sighed. "Hey, ladies! Take it outside. Bakura's not feeling well."
Tristan narrowed his eyes. "Who are you calling a lady, Ishtar?"
Ryou kept his hold on Bakura and turned to Tristan. "Tristan, please. Bakura's not feeling well. Thank you so much for taking care of Miranda and Robbie! But I think it's best if you go on your way."
Tristan stood up with Otogi. "Okay. Bye, Ryou. Bye, Bakura. I hope you feel better."
"Enjoy your mug, Coffee-Boy," Marik snickered.
Tristan hugged Aten and Aria and left with Otogi.
Ryou helped Bakura up the stairs and into his bed.
"Ryou, I'm fine."
Bakura let out a hacking cough and he started to wheeze.
Ryou bit his lip. "Oh, gods…Bakura? Baby?"
Bakura stopped coughing and laid on the mattress taking quick deep breaths.
"Maybe going on that boat with Aria wasn't a good idea."
Ryou removed Bakura's shoes. "The air is hot today, even with the ocean nearby." Ryou added with a faint smile. "Maybe you just became overheated, Bakura."
Bakura looked up into Ryou's eyes. "Hikari? I'll be fine. Maybe I just need to relax for a little bit."
Ryou leaned down and kissed Bakura's cheek. "I'll get you something cold to drink. I'll be back."
Ryou shut the bedroom door behind him and walked downstairs. Malik was sitting on the couch and Marik was holding Aria in his arms. The two Egyptians and the little girl shot Ryou questioning glances.
Aten and Robbie looked up at Ryou, holding hands.
"Bakura just needs some rest. That's all. Bakura will be fine."
Malik followed Ryou into the kitchen. "Are you sure that is all that's wrong with him?"
Ryou put a glass on the countertop. "Malik, I gave him part of my lifeforce. He shouldn't be coming down with it this quickly." Ryou looked down sadly. "I just got my Bakura back. I can't bear to see him lose his memory again."
Malik leaned against the counter. "The energy we give our yamis wears off quickly. I know that I can't keep giving Marik my lifeforce. The other day I woke up and found that my joints were aching. We only have so much we can give our yamis. Mortal life is quick, Ryou. Our lifeforce is not permanent nor does it last long."
Ryou filled the glass with water. "I thought I gave Bakura enough to be well enough for a long time. Two weeks isn't enough time. I didn't give up half my life so my yami could have two weeks of life. I gave it to him so he would last a long time."
Malik shook his head. "Yami's death was quick. Yami was fine one day and dead the next."
"But Yami was siphoning Yugi's lifeforce!"
Malik shrugged. "I don't know what to say, Ryou. Talk to Yugi. He can talk to you about it."
Ryou sighed. "Have you found anything?"
Malik shook his head. "Not a damn thing."
Ryou sniffled. "I don't want Bakura to die. When he falls asleep, I'll help you look."
Ryou left the kitchen and Malik sat at the kitchen table. Marik walked into the kitchen, holding Aria in his arms.
"Malik? Is Ryou okay?"
"Bakura's time is running out. We need to find a cure."
*****************************
Bakura slowly fell asleep. Ryou had to elevate his head a little so he could breathe better. Bakura's wheezing had returned, much to his dismay.
Ryou sat on the couch with the cell phone. Aria approached Ryou. "Mommy? Can I sit in your lap?"
The mother saw the worry plain on the child's face. Ryou gave her a smile and pulled her up on his lap.
Ryou dialed Yugi's number.
[Yugi's Game Shop.]
"Hello, Yugi."
[Ryou! How are you?]
"Fine. Umm…I have a question about Yami."
[…………okay.]
"Bakura came home quite ill today. He was fine yesterday. Is that what happened with Yami?"
A sigh came over the line. [Yeah, that's pretty much what happened to Yami. He was fine…well, he was himself the day before. Then he attacked KaibaCorp security and then we went home.]
"So he got…..hostile? So quickly?"
[Ryou, he was willing to destroy anyone for me. He almost killed two of Seto's best men for a chance to get to me. He became violent towards the end.]
"What happened when you both went home?"
[………………..]
"Yugi?"
[……………]
"Yugi, please tell me. My husband is upstairs laying down and I need to know what happened with Yami to be able to help him. Yugi….I have two children in this house whom I must protect. I cannot protect them if I don't know what to expect."
[He took me home and he became angry. He started undressing me and then he collapsed.]
"Anything else?"
[Right before he became violent, he…he kept pressuring me to sleep with him. I kept telling him no. Maybe that's why he became violent. I don't know.]
Ryou looked down at his eight-year-old daughter curled up on his lap, her body pressed close to him. Ryou wrapped an arm around her and cuddled her.
"So, Yami went quickly?"
[I would say he went very quickly.]
"How are you holding up?"
[Business is good. I still miss him, Ryou. He may have been an ass sometimes. But, he was my darker half. I know deep down that my yami never meant to hurt me.]
Ryou bit his lip, not wishing to hurt his friend's feelings.
[Do you think Bakura is getting close to the end?]
"I don't know, Yugi. I hope not."
[I hope not, too. Keep me updated on how he's doing.]
"I will, Yugi. Thank you."
Ryou turned off the cell phone and cradled Aria to his chest.
"Mommy? Is daddy going to die like Auntie Yami?"
Ryou sighed and looked into the eyes of his daughter. Her eyes were wide and glassy. Her brown eyes begged him for an answer.
"We don't know, baby girl."
Aria looked down sadly. "Oh."
"We're trying to find a cure, Aria. It's not easy. We are doing everything we can."
Aria sniffled and looked up at Ryou. "I don't want my daddy to die," Aria's voice cracked.
"Oh, honey," Ryou hugged the little girl and rocked her in his arms. He kissed the top of her white spiky hair. "It's going to be okay, Aria."
Aria sniffled and looked up. "When that meanie lady had me locked in that room, I was really worried about my daddy. I couldn't be there with my daddy and it made me feel sad."
Aria's hand brushed across the skin where the tattoo had once been.
Malik entered the living room and found Ryou holding his daughter close.
"What did Yugi say?"
Ryou looked down at the worried chibi in his lap. "Yugi said that the same happened to Yami before he became really ill."
Malik sighed as he heard Bakura coughing upstairs. Marik stepped out of the kitchen, reading the worry through Malik's mindlink.
Marik looked over at Malik. "I'll go upstairs and see how he's doing."
Aria jumped off of Ryou's lap and followed Marik up the stairs. Ryou and Malik went to the kitchen table. Malik gave Ryou whatever English texts he could find.
Ryou flipped through the pages. 'I have to find a cure to save Bakura….no matter what it takes…I have to save my husband's life.'
***********************************
Robbie was sent home after supper that night. When he opened the door, Joey and Hayden were in the kitchen making dinner for Miranda.
Aten and Aria were outside on the swings of the playset. The sun was beginning to set over the rooftops. Aria's bare foot brushed over the grass lightly.
Aten gripped the sides of the swing and turned to his sister. "Aria? What's wrong?"
"I'm worried about my daddy."
Aten reached over and took her hand. "Daddy Bakura will be otay, Aria. Daddy Bakura is going to see the Underworld. My daddy says it's a nize plaze. Daddy Bakura tan swim in the bants of the Nile…he tan rest in the sun and never get burnded. He'd be happy."
Aria looked up at the sky. "I'm going to miss my daddy, though, Aten."
"I know. I'm going to miss him, too."
Aria turned to Aten. "Do you think it's my fault, Aten, that daddy got sick again?"
Aten shrugged. "How would it be your fault?"
"Daddy took me sailing with Umi. What if the sea breeze got him sick again?"
Aten held her hand tightly. "How tan a beese mate him sit? Air tant mate someone sit, tan it?"
"I don't know. Remember in the wintertime? Mommy always puts a hat on your head when you're playing in the snow because he doesn't want you to get sick from the cold air?"
Aten stood up from his swing. "Aria, if my bad heart has taught me anything, is that being sit is nobody fault. It's not my fault that my heart is really bad. I was bornded with a heart that is not lite yours or our daddies. You know when my heart was really bad, some days I would be in no pain and other days I'd be tying so bad betaws the pain would not stop? Sitness is lite that."
Aria sniffled and looked at her brother's brown and purple eyes. "I guess."
"Even after my patematter, my heart still hurts a little bit. Today, I'm haffing a good day. My heart doesn't hurt mush and I'm not as sleepy today. Tomorrow, I don't know how my heart is going to be. It may be good….it may really, really hurt me tomorrow. But, sitness if funny lite that. One day you are bad and the nest day you are good. Maybe Daddy Bakura is haffing a bad day today. Maybe tomorrow, he'll be better."
Aten ran to the monkey bars and limbed up the ladder. He dangled from the monkey bars by his arms. "Some days I tant play on my money bars betaws my showler (shoulder) hurts too much to play."
Aria rocked herself on the swing. "But, I'm afraid of my daddy dying. I heard that Auntie Yami died. I don't want him to die, too."
Aten jumped off of the monkey bars and stood by Aria's swing. "My mommy told me that the dotors tant fiss my heart. The dotors said that I'm going to die, Aria. If I shit and thint about that, I'm going to be sad all the time. I don't want my mommy and daddy to see me sad. It would mate my mommy sad to see me sad. I'm sure Daddy Bakura would not want to see you upset."
Aria reached out for her brother. "Aren't you afraid, Aten?"
"Afraid of what?"
"Daddy Bakura?"
Aten walked up to her and hugged his sister, pressing her against him. "Of tourse I'm stared. But, I no want to thint about it all the time." Aten stepped back and spread his arms. He looked up at the sky. "Loot at all this, Aria! The air! The tees! The birrs singing in the tees! The sunset! I'll be seeing the tees and birrs when I go down to the Underworld. So will Daddy Bakura."
Aria stood up. "But, if my daddy dies, I'll never see him again."
Aten shrugged. "Our daddies are already dead, Aria."
"I know, but that's not the point, Aten Ishtar!"
Aten narrowed his eyes. "Aria, I'm tying to help you feel better."
Aria stood up and her hair went spiky. "I don't need your help, Aten!"
Aten shifted his eyes, not knowing what he had said to make her angry.
"I don't my daddy to leave me! How can you TRY to be funny at a time like this, Aten?"
"I'm not trying to be funny!"
"Do you think that my daddy dying is funny? You wouldn't be laughing if it was your daddy!"
Aten narrowed his eyes and growled. "I don't thint it is funny! I'm juss saying there has to be a way to bring bat people from the dead! If our daddies are dead and they are alife now, that means there has to be a way to bing them bat!"
Aria's eyes darkened and her eyes developed the red spikes. "You think this is a laughing matter, Aten Ishtar? Well, you know what, Aten? I DON'T NEED YOU!"
Aten let out a growl and his hair spiked. "You'll need me someday, Aria!"
"No, I won't!"
"Yes, you will!"
Marik and Malik came outside to see the two chibis with spiky hair growl at each other.
"Aria Kanika!" Malik called out.
"Aten Bakari!" Marik cried out.
Aria raised her hand, seeing the Ishtars running towards them. "I don't need you, Aten!"
Aria opened her hand towards Aten and a ball of dark energy shot from her palm.
Marik screamed. "ATEN! ROD OF DARK, PROTECT THINE HEIR FROM DEADLY SPARK!"
The dark energy from Aria's hand was redirected to the Millennium Rod.
Malik watched as Marik was thrown back against the house. Marik fell onto the grass, holding the back of his head.
"Marik!"
"Get….Aten! Forget me!"
Aria growled and raised her hand again. "I won't miss again!"
Another ball of energy flew at Aten, but Malik tackled the yami boy to the ground.
Ryou ran out of the back door and saw Aria's hair spiky and twitching. Marik was on his knees, blood seeping from between his fingers. Malik was on top of Aten, shielding the boy from his sister's magical fury.
"Aria Kanika Itemri!" Ryou growled angrily at his daughter.
Aria looked up and her hair became less spiky. "Uh-oh. Mommy's pissed."
Ryou walked up to Aria and crossed his arms angrily. "What is the meaning of this?"
Tears filled Aria's eyes. "Aten was being mean!"
Malik rolled off of Aten and Aten laid on the grass frozen.
Ryou turned to Aten. "Aten?" Ryou saw Aten's eyes glazed over.
"Aten?"
"Grandfather…….Malik…..Mommy Malik….stop….."
Marik staggered to his feet and leaned against the brick of the house.
Ryou turned to Aria. "Aria Kanika, go to your bedroom this instant!"
Aria stamped off angrily. Aten's breathing was quick and his face was white and sickly.
"Malik, go take care of your yami. I'll handle Aten."
Malik sprinted to Marik and helped him inside.
Ryou kneeled on the grass. "Aten, baby, what do you see?"
"My gantfatter……..abuff (above) me……Malik…….on…….on……… ;……But, Malik's voice don't sound lite Malik….it sounds…diffint."
Ryou raised an eyebrow. "Are you in a cold place? Dark? Lots of shadows?"
Aten nodded. His arms spasmed. "I tant move my arms and legs….I'm shained…..to a stone table."
Tears filled Aten's eyes. "My gantfatter won't stop tushing…….why won't he go away? Why won't he let me go?"
Ryou's hands started to shake. 'I know what you're going through, Aten. I've been there.'
"Aten….you're having a flashback. You're in the backyard. Look around you."
"All I see is shadows. Where's my mommy and daddy?" Aten's body started to shake and he let out a painful shriek. "No! Gantfatter! Stop! MOMMY! DADDY!"
Ryou clenched his fists in fear. He couldn't leave Aten on his back, kicking and screaming.
A shadow was soon cast over him and Marik stood over him.
"Aten?" Marik asked as he kneeled on Aten's other side.
Aten opened his eyes. "Daddy!" Aten sat up quickly and wrapped his arms around Marik's shoulders. "Malik……he……daddy, I want to go home! I want to see my sister!"
Ryou stood up. "One minute." Ryou ran into the house and saw Malik leaning against the countertop, shaking.
"Malik, if Aten sees you, he's going to become upset again."
Malik nodded. "I'll hide in the basement."
Malik closed the basement door behind him. "I know why Aten's upset. It's all Aku's fault! If he had not made me hurt Aten……….Aten's never going to forgive me."
Marik carried Aten upstairs and knocked on Aria's door. Ryou followed closely.
Aten jumped down from Marik's arms and ran to his sister. "Sister! I thought I'd never see you again!"
Aria shot her brother a quizzical look. "What's wrong with you?"
Ryou crossed his arms sternly. "Your brother is having a flashback, Aria. What did Aten say to bring this on?"
"What made you think you had any right to fire that ball of energy to your brother?" Marik asked angrily.
Ryou gasped. "Young lady, did you throw a ball of energy to your brother?"
Aria's bottom lip trembled. "Yes, mommy."
Ryou took a deep breath. "I never want to hear of you trying to hurt your brother like that again. I cannot believe you would deliberately do this!"
Aria wiped away the tears from her eyes. Aten hugged her tightly, his body shivering with fear.
"I'm sorry, mommy!" Aria cried.
"It's not I you should be apologizing to, Aria. You are brother and sister and we hate to see you both fighting."
Aten fell to his knees in front of his sister. "I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, Aria. I don't know what I said to mate you angry with me. I'm sorry. Please don't hate me!"
Aria hugged Aten tightly. "I'm sorry, Aten. I didn't mean to say I didn't need you. You're my brother! I do need you!"
Bakura staggered into the room. "What's all this commotion?"
Aria sniffled. "Nothing, daddy."
Aten released Aria and looked up at Ryou. "Mommy, I'm…..tired."
Ryou reacted quickly as he saw Aten start to lose his balance. Ryou rushed for Aten and caught him before he could hit the ground.
Ryou noticed that since he became a mother, his reaction time had become much quicker.
Ryou scooped the chibi into his arms. Aten always became tired after a particularly bad flashback.
Ryou put Aten to bed. The little boy rested on his bed limp, his eyes half-closed in a daze.
He pulled the blankets over Aten and tucked one of Aten's monkeys under the covers. The little boy instinctively turned towards the monkey and cuddled up to it.
"Just relax, sweetheart."
Ryou kissed Aten on the forehead and stepped out of the room.
Malik stood in the hallway. "Is Aten okay?"
"He's tired. Those flashbacks take their toll on him. He should really go see Dr. Chapman again."
Malik and Ryou went into Aria's room.
Aria was sitting on Bakura's lap. She looked up at Ryou. "I'm really sorry I hurt Aten and Daddy Marik, mommy."
Ryou sighed. "Aria, what you did was wrong. I have no choice but to ground you for the next week."
Aria's jaw dropped. "For a whole week?"
Ryou nodded. "You aimed that dark energy on purpose. You were going to hurt your brother. That will not be tolerated. He is your brother and if it wasn't for Marik taking the impact, you could have killed your brother."
Aria sniffled and looked down.
Marik leaned against the doorway, the room starting to spin. "Aria, do you realize you could have killed Aten? Aten would be dead if I didn't take the shot for him."
Bakura held Aria against him. "If you love someone, Aria, you don't use your Shadow Magic against them."
Aria sniffled. "I'm sorry, daddy."
Bakura stood up on shaky legs and put Aria on the floor. "Now, sit in here for a while and think about what would have happened had you struck your brother."
Bakura left the room.
Ryou leaned down and kissed Aria on the cheek. "Your father and I love you, Aria. We love you and your brother equally. You are brother and sister. You do need each other, as much as you may not want to admit it."
Aria sniffled. "I know, mommy."
Ryou turned and left the room. He found Bakura laying in bed again.
"Bakura, are you feeling any better?"
Bakura struggled to take a deep breath. "I don't think..it was a good idea…for me to go with Aria."
Ryou held Bakura's hand. "I should have gone, yami. I'm going to call Zira."
Bakura gripped Ryou's wrist. "Zira won't be able to do a thing for me, Ryou."
Ryou shook his head. "He has to be able to do something for you, Bakura. He's a doctor."
Bakura closed his eyes and a shudder ran through him. "No, Ryou. This isn't like a cold or a flu."
Ryou gripped Bakura's hand. "Yami? What are you saying?"
Bakura opened his eyes and looked into the eyes of his hikari. "What I am saying…..is that no doctor can cure this virus, Ryou."
Ryou kissed Bakura's hand. "I didn't think my lifeforce would wear out so quick. I….I didn't give you enough, maybe. Let me try it again."
Bakura pulled Ryou's hand towards him. "Ryou….if you give me anymore energy, you won't survive the transfer."
Ryou's bottom lip trembled. "Then let me know what I can do for you, Bakura. How can I help you?"
Bakura blinked tiredly. He raised his hands to Ryou's face and stroked Ryou's cheek. "Just let me go, Ryou."
Ryou's cheeks soon became a waterfall of tears. Was Bakura asking him to let him die? "No, yami. I can't let you go."
Bakura blinked slowly. "Ryou, I know this is hard for you."
"What am I going to do without you?"
Bakura put his finger on Ryou's lip. "Tonight, Ryou….let's watch the sunset with Malik and Marik. Tomorrow morning, let's wake up early to watch the sunrise." Bakura gave his hikari a smile. "We always enjoyed watching the sunrise together."
Ryou nodded. "Okay. I'd like that."
Bakura cupped Ryou's cheeks in his hands and pulled him down. "But tonight, Ryou, I want to make love to you."
Ryou nodded and wrapped his arms around Bakura. "Are you sure you're up for it?"
Bakura buried his fingers into the white web of hair above him. "I'd give anything to be with you, Ryou."
Ryou pulled back slowly.
"Don't you want to make love to me, Ryou?"
The hikari nodded. "I do, yami."
Bakura sat up as a loud crack sounded from his back. "Then tonight, Ryou, we'll spend all night together."
Ryou nodded. "Okay, yami. Why don't you lay down for a while? Get some sleep. You'll need it."
Ryou closed the curtains in the room and covered his yami with a blanket. He gave Bakura a kiss on the cheeks.
"Sweet dreams, yami."
Bakura kissed Ryou's mouth gently. "I love you so much, baby."
Ryou smiled. "Me, too, akutenshi."
Ryou closed the door, leaving.
Bakura closed his eyes and faded quickly into a deep sleep.

***Dream Sequence***
Bakura opened his eyes and rubbed them. He looked around at the pharaoh's chambers. He immediately recognized these chambers from his darkest nightmares that had haunted him for five thousand years.
Bakura ran to the window and shook them violently. "I have to get out of here!"
He heard the door open and Bakura turned around quickly.
Yami entered the chamber, flanked by three guards.
A grin crossed Yami's face. "Are you here to be my personal toy again, Tomb Robber?"
Bakura narrowed his eyes. "Fuck you, pharaoh."
Yami raised his hands. "Guards, get him!"
Bakura reached at his side where his dagger should have been. One guard grabbed his wrist. Bakura kicked the other guard in the side. The third guard punched Bakura in the stomach. The tomb robber reached out and grabbed the guard. He threw him against the other guard. The two guards stumbled and Bakura jumped out of their way.
Bakura turned to Yami. "You're sending your goons to do your dirty work?"
One of the guards removed a whip and cracked it, wrapping the whip around Bakura's neck.
The guard pulled back and the other two guards ran to restrain the prisoner.
Two guards grabbed Bakura's arms while the other guard grabbed his hair.
The guard holding Bakura's hair, drove his clenched fist into Bakura's right ribcage.
The sickening crack of bone could be heard through the room.
The guards shoved Bakura to his knees in front of Yami.
The third guard stood in front of Bakura. "Lower your head to your god, tomb robber!"
Bakura spit in the man's face. "I only lower my head to Osiris! That snake is no god, but a demon."
The guard backhanded Bakura. "Hold your tongue….or we will cut it out."
Bakura felt the corner of his mouth trickle with blood. The guard stood behind Bakura and pulled Bakura's head back to look into Yami's eyes.
Yami approached Bakura kneeling on the ground. A grin crossed his face at his kneeling victim.
"How many times must you fight back, Bakura? You know you will never win."
Yami stepped up to Bakura. The yami's breath hit against the front of Yami's robe. The pharaoh reached down and stroked Bakura's hair.
Yami grabbed a handful of Bakura's hair and pulled back. Yami leaned in and forced Bakura into a deep kiss. The guards held Bakura down on his knees.
When he pulled back, Yami wiped the blood of the victim from his lips.
"Welcome back to me, Tomb Robber."
