THIS IS ME AND THIS IS YOU
Chapter 1
Noone knew they were alive. Noone paid attention to the pained expressions on their faces as they fought. Noone saw the love pass between them. Maybe...except for him. He believed in the heart of the cards and thus believed in them. He never made them fight to the point of exertion as if he truly knew they were alive. Perhaps it was his yami that had told him of the truth or perhaps it was just his innocent and benevolent persona. Today..was going to be one of those times.
He stared across the battlefield at his companion. In those cerulean eyes was such hardship and sorrow. The dragon knew that if he used his ultimate attack that it would severly injure the wine haired magician. The deep ocean blue eyes went wider as his partner's master yelled for the ultimate attack. Those sky blue eyes that he adored were shimmering as unshed tears welled. The other boy found it hard to keep his emotions in check as well. He was never close to his friend, only on the battle field and then it was like hell. To never touch or...kiss.
As the masters of the two boys prepared for the end, a shy blush settled on the purple haired boy's cheeks; his armor hiding most of his face. He could not tear his vision from the dragon in front of him. He knew that the guise of a dragon was merely a show, he knew of the creature's true form. An almost humanly appearance. He often saw his friend when they were in the Shadow Realm, when not being played on the field. Though...he could not get close to the boy because of their seperate lives and how he wanted to be near his flame. Small glances from afar, smiles that he cherished-so unlike the dragon growling softly in front of him.
The blast hit the magician head on and he was sent once again to the Shadow Realm. He often wondered what it would be like to experience what his master did in the human world. It looked nice when he was not in battle. When on the sidelines, he would often gaze at the cherry trees, their pink blossoms floating lazily to the ground...that was when he wasn't admiring his friend from their distance. When not used as a card in the Duel Monsters game, the dragon was a boy. His whole body changed, save his eyes. His hair became downy, snow white that was streaked with azure highlights. His skin was so pale he seemed made of marble. He wasn't overly bulky but held a slim and petite posture.
Said dragon was once again in his humanly form, staring at his once time rival. Although not nearly as strong as himself, the magician more than well made up for his lack of strength in the area of genius and appearance. The heavy armor was cast aside, the toned musceled physique was clothed in a deep purple gi, tanned skin next to it in clear contrast. His hair dipped lackadaisically across his forehead and into his eyes. The boy heaved a sigh, glaring ice daggers at the enegy barrier that kept him from his friend.
A sudden jolt of electricity shivered the barrier's defense. A dazzling display of multi-coloured lights ricocheted into the space around. The smell of circuitry wafted on the cool breeze that now blew through the land. The magician and dragon paused only momentarily before rushing to the now destroyed barrier. It was gone...deleted. The taller of the two boys raised a delicate eyebrow, questioning the reasons the barrier had vanished when he suddenly remembered that he was free.
