Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Thursday ❯ Chapter Two ( Chapter 2 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

As first class ended, Tristan, Téa and Yugi patted Joey on the shoulder in sympathy and promised to meet up at lunch, so he could vent his anger. As Joey watched them leave, sadly, he noticed a presence next to him.
“C'mon Wheeler. I won't be late because of you.” Kaiba said heading for the door.
“You don't have to wait, Kaiba. Wouldn't want to get in the way now.” Joey smirked as Kaiba frowned.
“No I don't. “ He said simply, after staring at Joey, his eyes looking straight through him.
“Then why are you?” Joey grinned. Instead of waiting for an answer, he left the classroom. “C'mon Rich-Boy. I'm not gonna be late because you're too slow to keep up.”
At that moment, Seto Kaiba clenched his hand in a fist and was about to hit Joey, when he mentally calmed himself, remembering that Joey Wheeler wasn't worth anything that Seto Kaiba might say or do to him. He was just a stupid, little boy with geeky friends. Nothing compared to Seto Kaiba, owner of the biggest company in the world.

As they made their way to second class, Seto Kaiba mentally whinged about the fact he would have to sit with Joey Wheeler, of all people.
If Joey hadn't made him late on his first day of the school year…

<FLASHBACK>

“Hey, Kaiba. What's a Rich-Boy like you doin' here?” Joey Wheeler had called over as Seto Kaiba made his way to second lesson, on a cold Thursday morning, ignoring Joey as much as he could.
“Kaiba I was talkin' to you! Don't ignore me, bitch!” Joey yelled, getting angrier.
Seto Kaiba was taken aback by being referred to as `bitch' and immediately spun around, his trenchcoat creating more drama than necessary.
He strode over to Joey and lowered his face as close to Joey's as he could.
“The only bitch I see around here is you, dog.” He said, quietly so only Joey could hear him.
As Joey went bright red with anger, Kaiba pulled back, smirked and then walked away to second lesson.
But it wasn't long before Joey caught up with him at the classroom door.
“Well would you look at that, Wheeler. You made me late. Don't think you'll live this one down. I'm never late. And quit following me, stalker.” Kaiba said as he entered the room, apologised to the teacher and watched with bemusement as Joey also entered the room, looking for a seat and finding the only spare one next to Seto Kaiba of all people.
“Ahh now come on, teach. This ain't fair!” He whinged, but the stern look on the teacher's face told him not to argue it anymore, and he glumly took his seat next to an equally angry, Seto Kaiba.
