To Love Loveless: Remixed
Mitzumi: in typical desperate-for-reviews fashion, here is the next chapter. It's not so much that I want just good reviews for this one. I want a comment, period. I want to make this series into a comic and to do that, I need a reader response. So weather you like het or not, I don't care, I just need a comment. That being said, onward with the fict.

Chapter 2: Sister Yamira
“I don't understand her at all! Really, she is completely rude and finds pleasure in harassing me. Did I do something mean to her in my past life or something?!” Atemu ranted. The tachi knew that Atemu had been picked on one to many time if he started to rant. Usually, the only ones who could drive him to do that was usually Kaiba or Bakura.
“maybe. But be happy that she doesn't have a Bakura like grudge against you.” Yugi replied, going through his deck. Tomorrow, Kaiba was sponsoring a charity tournament and Yugi, Atemu and Joey had agreed to duel in it. The winner would present a check from Kaiba Corp, in their name, to the International children's society.
“that would not be good. With Bakura, I sort of knew what to expect but with Savira… shudder she might rebuild the terminator and send it after me.” Atemu speculated.
“can't ya use ya Shadow magic ta disarm it?” Joey asked, munching on some chips. He was finished with his deck and now Atemu was shuffling through it to double check it.
“Shadow magic only effects things with a soul, Joey. It wouldn't be able to stop something like a robot or inorganic beings. The best I could do would be to banish it to the Shadow realm but it'll probably vaporize me before I had the chance to power up to do so.” Atemu explained, reshuffling Joey's deck and handing it to the blonde.
“well dat sucks.” Came Joey's reply that summed it all up.
“hey, did you guys hear about Pegasus?” Yugi asked looking up from his deck. At their questioning look, he continued. “earlier this week, he died of a heart attack. “
“whose gunna make cards now dat he's gone?” Joey asked.
“his company will still make them but no new ones will be made other than the ones he already had written up in his plans. But the weird thing about the whole thing is that Pegasus was a really healthy guy so his heart attack has drawn suspicion, making people believe he was poisoned or something.” Yugi explained, sitting up on the bed and stretching.
“maybe someone did everyone a favor and wrote his name in a Death note 1,” Atemu speculated.
“hey boys, are you ready?” Shojiki asked, poking her head in the room. She had some how managed to convince Seto to let them stay in the mansion for the night before the tournament. They had no clue what she did to convince him but whatever it was, something told them that they didn't want to know.
“yeah.” Yugi replied, standing with Atemu and Joey. As the duelists left the room, Shojiki remained behind, her eyes scanning the room.
`there was someone here,…and I don't mean the boys.' she thought to herself.
“Shojiki, come on or we'll be late!”
“coming Seto!!” she replied, leaving the room and closing the door behind her.
`I better tell Savira. Whatever or whoever it is seems to be trouble.'

“this tournament has the same rules as battle city, the only exception being that all duels are planned, but where you meet your opponent is decided by you. In every duel disk are two new features: one, a mini computer that will bring up who are your next 5 opponents and their wins so far in the tournament and two, a GPS system that will help you find them. Now that you have that, LET THE TOURNEMENT BEGIN!”
with a cheer, the crowd dispersed. Seto stayed behind to give instructions to his engineers and to strap on his duel disk as well. It was a new one that was designed by a child that had won the organization's contest. Jet-black and a lot smaller that it's previous incarnation, the deck holder was red while the life point counter was lit up in red LED lights. The card field was in Violet and turned black when a card was sent to the graveyard.
Although he wasn't exactly fond of the color scheme, Seto liked the new design, it reminded him of his first portable duel disk, way back in duelist kingdom.
“Seto, you ready?” he heard behind him, arms slipping around his waist. Seto smirked, looking over his shoulder at his girlfriend.
“yes. I can't wait to see the look on the first kid's face when they realize they are facing me.”
“I wonder if they'll piss their pants like that one did in Battle City.” She remarked as she pulled away and they started walking. His duel disk said that his duel was near the docks.
“how did you find out about that?” Seto asked, raising an eyebrow.
“burnt skillet told me.” She replied, grinning. Seto groaned.
“I thought you and Mokuba had gave up on those nicknames.”
“nope. We just haven't found the right one for you yet.” She said casually.
“well if you do, promise me that you won't call me it in public. If the Yugi-tachi found out, I would never hear the end of it.”
“okay, I promise. So, did you get any compliments on your new getup?”
Shojiki had redesigned his battle city outfit to something a bit more casual. He was dressed in his usual trench coat but it was jet black and with silver studs around the color which matched the KC logo on the lapels. Under it, he wore a white and blue vertical striped dress shirt that was open at the collar and black loose jeans over black converse high tops. His card shaped locket that held his picture of Mokuba hung on a thin pure silver chain.
“yes. More than one person complimented it.”
“good.” She said, lacing her fingers in his and smiling. The corner of his mouth twitched and he looked away as they continued to stroll. Their happy moment was broken by the sound of static on his jacket, integrated communicator
“Mr. Kaiba, the first duel has started.”
“is it anyone on that list I gave you?”
“no, but sir it's unusual.”
Seto raised an eyebrow. “meaning?”
“they look like a female version of your rival, Atemu Yami and not only that, from what we have found, their deck is exactly the same!”
“what?! Email me their information now.” He said, opening his suitcase to take out his new iPhone 3G 2, personalized with a blue eyes motif on the back.
“sending now…message sent.”
Seto opened the file and his eyes widened in shock. Looking back at him was virtually Atemu's twin in everything form the wild tri-colored hair to the angular Violet eyes. Her lips were curved in Atemu's trademark smirk, a cocky look in her eyes as if saying `hit me with your best shot.' There were minor differences that came with her gender like her face being heart shaped instead of angular and her eyes slightly bigger but other than that the resemblance was unmistakable.
“Holy shit, she looks like Atemu!” Shojiki remarked, looking over Seto's shoulder. She had gotten curious at Seto's outburst then sudden silence.
Ignoring her for the moment, Seto scrolled downward to look at her stats.
Name: Yamira Atemu
Age: 17
Gender: female
Hometown: Cairo, Egypt
Current place of residence: Domino City, Japan
Strongest card: The Dark Pharaoh
“The Dark Pharaoh? I never heard of that card before.” Seto said, scrolling down further to examine her deck. His technicians were right, all of her cards, excluding the dark Pharaoh and a few others, were the same cards in Atemu's deck.
“Shojiki…it looks like I'm going to have to postpone my first du- Shojiki?” Shojiki didn't hear him as she took the phone from his hand a scrolled back up to Yamira's picture. She stared at it, her eyes unblinking before she gasped.
“Seto! I know this girl!”
“What?!”
“we have to find Atemu and warn him, she's dangerous!” and with that she took off running. Seto chased her, thankful that she made him wear sneakers.
“dammit Shojiki, give me back my phone!!”

“that was so cool Atemu! The way you used that Magical Cylinder and Mirror Force combo was awesome!” Tea gushed. Atemu smiled at her.
“thanks. Hey, do you think I can squeeze in one more duel before we go out for lunch?” he asked.
“sure. I rather avoid the lunchtime rush anyway. All of the restaurants in town will be packed with duelists anyway,” she giggled as he kissed her on the cheek.
“great. Let's see.” He pulled up the holographic computer on his duel disk. The last person he was supposed to duel has already been kicked out of the game while the top 3 were slowly rising in the ranks. Suddenly the screen distorted.
“what the-?”
after a small crackle of electricity, the screen restored but there were something new. The next person he was supposed to duel which was Weevil Underwood was replaced with the name Yamira Atemu.
“Yamira Atemu? That sounds like your name.” Tea remarked, staring at the screen along with him.
“I know. No matter, it might just be a coincidence,” he said with a shrug, turning on the GPS.
“if you say so. Hmm...from the looks of this, it says she's not too far from here. Let's go.”

the couple made it to the theater district. It was mostly empty since everyone else was either at lunch or at a duel somewhere. The only ones around were movie buffs that were already settled in for their afternoon matinees.
“okay, we're here. Now were are they?” Atemu wondered aloud, looking around.
“right here, are you ready to duel?” the duo looked back to see a figure standing behind them. She was dressed in a black hoodie that covered shielded her face from them. On the rim of the hood were mini eyes of wadjet. Knee-high silver and black Converses, tucked into tight leather pants, covered her feet.
“yes, shall we duel right here?” Atemu asked, stepping forward.
“hmm…it looks like it's going to rain. Let us step into that theater over there.” She stated pointing at a seemingly abandoned theater nearby. For some reason, it was open.
“uhm…”
“don't worry, I happen to know the owner,” she said, replying to his unasked question and walking past them.
--
once they were inside, Yamira insisted that she and Atemu dueled onstage and that Tea watch the game from the audience. They agreed and did as she asked. It wasn't a dangerous request she was asking, just a weird one.
“now that the stage is set…” she removed her hoodie, Tea gasped. The girl looked just like Atemu!
Not only did they look alike, Yamira was nearly wearing the same thing Atemu was, from the fitted black sleeveless shirt to the choker and wristbands all the way down to the double belts. The only difference of course was the shoes but that was all.
Not only that, on a gold chain was an exact replica of the Millennium puzzle except in silver.
As they gaped at her she smirked.
“let's duel big brother.”

FOOTNOTES
1- yes the characters know about other animes, they just don't know about them being in an anime themselves.
2- of course Seto would have the new iPhone. He's a tech geek, why wouldn't he?
Mitzumi: dadada!! The introduction of Atemu's evil twin, Yamira!! Anyone who has read the prequel would know what was up. Not only is she my most hated character, she is also my most fashionable one, next to Shojiki that is. I hate the way she acts, but I love the way she dresses.
Shojiki: while we're on that topic, why don't we talk about where you came up with Seto's outfit.
Mitzumi: kay. While me and my friend Darka was in the mall, we got stuck in the men's department waiting for my mom, so to pass the time, we started making up outfits for the Yugioh guys, pointing out outfits saying things like `Seto would look sexy in that' or `Bakura would wear that.' Needless to say, we confused more than one salesperson.
Shojiki: anyway, as always-
Mitzumi: R&R&R!!
