Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ To Save An Angel ❯ Breakdown ( Chapter 6 )
Breakdown
~Normal POV~
Dick sat at the front desk panicking. Ms.Foss hadn't signed in yet and though he didn't mind that he knew Seto would. Where was she? Seto was gonna have a cow. He began to fiddle with his pencil gnawing on it every occasion (he had just given up smoking). Suddenly he heard the door open and the footsteps that could only be Kaiba. He stared at his desk avoiding eye contact but that was no longer an option when curiosity got the best of him and he looked up to hear where the sweet voice was coming from. One look and he couldn't help but smile…so Seto had got himself a girlfriend. Wow well he needed one, someone to keep him from overworking and to help him stop frowning all the time. They looked so cute in their uniforms just giggling and smiling that you would never guess he was the grumpy head of a billion dollar company.
"Dick this is my new secretary Janie." Dick took a double take not believing what he had heard. "Hi Dick. I'm Janie it's a pleasure to meet you." Dick smiled at her; she was a sweet girl with a gorgeous smile. "The pleasures all mine." He said looking from her to Seto and giving him a knowing grin. And he couldn't help but laugh when the boy blushed and looked at his feet. Plus he had to keep from bursting when the girl took his hand in hers and he began to grin like an idiot. The boy was absolutely love sick.
~Janie's point of view~
It took a while for me to catch on to all the different buttons and knobs on the phone and the speaker that connected me to Seto, but soon I was a total pro and I already had Seto's schedule set for the next 2 days, making sure to leave room for Mokuba, me, homework, and fun. 3 hours later I was smiling proudly as I stood over my work. "Janie could you come in here please?" the speaker called. "Sure Seto, I mean boss."
Seto's office was tre gorgeous. It was white and I mean white!!! But what I loved was the ice blue carpet that went so well with his eyes. The furniture was white and blue and everything looked so clean (AN: Sorry I had to say that, but really the guy always looks so clean). I walked up to the desk laying my eyes on the best part of the room…"Janie I need Wednesday's schedule, the binder of notes for tomorrow's meeting that Jerry was supposed to write, reservations at that café down by the river, and Mr. Haiku's number." "Um sure Se- I mean yes Mr.Kaiba sir." I began to walk out of the room making a mental note of everything that needed to be done when something hit me.
"Sir," I said turning back to face him, " the reservations for the café…I need the number of people and what time." "Well," he said giving me that sly little smile of his," it's for two and I'd like it to be about eightish." "Okay sir. And if I may ask who are you taking?" He smirked at me like he had just pulled the best prank ever. "Are you really that blind, or do you honestly need me to tell you?" "I think I know but asking questions is just more fun." I winked at him and walked out of the room to go find Jerry and to call Mai and tell her everything!!!
~Seto's point of view~
I watched her leave, grinning from ear to ear. I had fallen for her big time…so much so that even Dick at the front desk could tell. But I couldn't help it, she was so beautiful. I could barely recognize myself anymore; I had gone from the cold-hearted bastard billionaire to a lovesick fool. I wanted her so bad; I wanted to know every inch of her.
I wanted…then it hit me, like it did on every occasion when I was truly happy. The memories of my adoptive father and all the beatings, and rapings that came along with him. I didn't want to think about them, I didn't want to relive the pain that had permanently screwed my childhood. But no matter how much I told myself not to they still played, each horrible piece of shit making me want to scream at what I was reliving. I stood from my desk and stumbled to the couch at the side of my office, eyes blurred with tears. Once I got there, falling twice, I crashed on the couch face first letting my tears spill down my face.
~Normal point of view~
"And he's taking me to dinner!" squealed Janie as she and Mai talked about their bf's. "So when are you gonna mark your territory?" asked Mai slyly giggling at the blush that she knew was growing on the girl's face. "Mai!" Janie squealed, "I…I…I gotta go give Seto some water. Sometimes he works himself so hard that he forgets his health. Well gotta go!" and with that she hung up the phone and went over to the machine to get a bottle of water.
Mai sighed leaning back in her chair smiling at how funny her friend was. She knew how much that girl loved him, but at the same time she feared rejection. The poor kid had been through quite a lot in such short time that all she could do was wish for the best and swear that if that jerk broke her heart she would personally kill him.
Janie walked down the hall with the binder under her arm and a bottle of water in her available hand. She sauntered over to her desk and pressed the speakerphone button to ask if Seto he she could come in. "Hey Seto, I got the notes and some water so you don't get dehydrated." She stood there a couple minutes waiting for a reply. "That's odd." She said putting the two objects down and walked over to the two doors that lead into Seto's office. "Um Seto you in there?" she asked gently lightly tapping on the door. She began to get a bit worried when he didn't answer and began to knock again. "Hey Seto you in-" she stopped as the door creaked open and she peered in.
From what she could see there was no one at the desk and she couldn't hear the tapping of the keyboard at all. "Seto?" she asked quietly taking a step into the room taking a look around, her eyes resting on the figure that was sprawled out on the couch in the far corner. She smiled at the boy figuring that he had worked so hard that sleepiness had taken over and made him take a much-needed nap. She was just about to leave the room when she heard something that made her turn and walk over to the boy.
She stood over the sleeping figure feeling quite confused. He had tear marks on his face and he was whimpering in his sleep shaking on every occasion. Why had he been crying? What was wrong with him? She lightly shook the boy hoping to wake him from what was obviously a nightmare. "Seto…" she cooed softly while stroking his hair. The boy's eyes snapped open and began to dart around the room they rested on Janie who looked worried.
~Janie's point of view~
We just sat there in silence, him looking at me with pained eyes and me staring at him worried and scared not having a clue to what was wrong. After about 5 minutes he bit his lip and turned away so I couldn't see his face. I could hear him crying and I knew that whatever it was, was painful since it took a hell of a lot to make Seto cry. So I sat there letting him have a good cry and stroking his back making gentle cooeing noises. I lay down next to him and stroked his hair telling him that it was okay and at the same time telling myself that.
Suddenly he positioned himself so he was laying right on my chest his arms wrapping around my waist. He was so cute. At that moment he looked so innocent, like he wasn't the jerk Seto Kaiba that everybody thought of. He was just another person who was hurt and vulnerable. I stroked his hair and layed my other hand on his back making tiny circles with my middle finger. He seemed to calm down a bit, but he wouldn't let go for the life of him so I just stayed there not knowing what was wrong, just sure that he needed me.
We were there for about an hour, his head resting on my breasts, and me doing my best to understand. "Janie…" he said quietly. My breath hitched as his head snuggled right in between my boobs and his fingers slid under my shirt. Was he gonna? Right here in his office? Did I wan- o hell with that question! Of course I did! It was just the question of whether or not I wanted to be fucked in an office? "Janie," he said again his voice sounding cool and coy, "in about 5 minutes Dick will have left, making it just you, me, and the security guard on the third floor." He picked his head up and our eyes locked. "Seto…? Are you suggesting?" He smiled at me and nodded, I could feel my face going beat red. "I…I…I'm not sure I…" I said stumbling through my words, stuck in the crossfire between my heart and my common sense. And just when it seemed like my sense was gonna win he got up and kissed me. Not harsh and strong like we had before, just sweet and gentle one that you could almost doubt ever happened. But that small kiss, it's sweet innocence, gave my heart all the strength it needed to overpower any sense I had and give in. I sighed and nodded to him, my heart racing, my "real" first time. It was what I wanted and he was there to give it to me. "Seto," I whispered looking at the boy whose body was towering over my own his hot breath sending shivers down my spine.
O cliffy aren't I mean? Don't worry the next one is coming soon and it will be a definite lemon so be patient! :)
