Chapter Ten- My Priest Returns

(Note: this happens before Seto and Bakura find Joey)

Seto shivered as they entered the Shadow Realm. He would never admit it out loud, but when Bakura and Marik played their duels, during the Battle City Tournament, in the Shadow Realm, memories of the dreams he had about Mokuba dying in the fire that killed his parents would surface and haunt him during the short hours of sleep he got. He was brought back to reality when he saw the towering palace before him.

“Holy shit,” he whispered. Strangely, it looked so very familiar to him…

“Tomb Robber, what are you doing here?” Said a voice that sounded practically like the brunet's. The two turned to see a complete look-a-like of Seto along with several others, one of which reminded him of Ishizu Ishtar. Seto's look-a-like, however, is what kept the CEO's attention; he had brilliant cobalt eyes that seemed to look right into your very soul, pale blue skin, a scaly tail -which reminded Seto of his Blue Eyes White Dragon- coming from his behind and long, pointed ears. He wore a long silver skirt (no shirt), outlined with a pale blue and there was a blade attached to his hip.

“Great, the welcome committee's here,” Bakura muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. “Seth and his pain in the ass, fuck buddies, or formally known as priests.”

“We're looking for someone, if you must know,” Seto stated, his cold voice reflecting the emotion in his eyes.

“Oh? And who might this person be?” Asked an elderly man in white robes, his grey/white hair covering his left eye, was standing beside the pale blue-skinned man.

“I'm sure you old hags remember my dear old tomb robbing partner, Marik, ne?” Bakura mentally smirked when he saw a slight shiver run through each of then (save the brunet). “Well, he has a reincarnation look-a-like, except his hair's tamer. They have someone we know, and want back.”

Seth glanced at the old man. “We have been sensing portals to Earth opening for a while now.”

Before Seto could ask him about it, there was a sudden flash of bright light, which came from behind Bakura and Seto.

“M-My Pharaoh,” the old man said, going down on one knee, the others following the same suit, save Seto, Seth, and Bakura.

“Atem,” Seth said softly, his demeanor suddenly changing. He walked over to Yami, wrapping his arms around him, leaning down with the obvious intention of kissing him.

“Seth, I, there has been a lot that has happened since the Black Magi sent you to the Shadow Realm,” Yami said, stopping Seth by cupping his cheek. “However, now's not the time-”

Suddenly a cry echoed throughout the Shadows, startling the group.

“Well, if you'll excuse me, I have a couple asses to kick,” Bakura said in a conversational tone, turning on his heel and starting towards the Palace of Shadows. Seto was close behind him as he disappeared behind the large building.

“I'll stay here!” Yami yelled after them, Bakura fingering him (his way of saying `whatever' to Yami).

“Atem, what in Ra's name is going on? Why does that boy look like me, why are you wearing such atrocious and why did you pull away from me?” Seth asked in a quieter voice, glaring at the other priests to leave them (which they did).

Yami sighed. “Seth, that boy is your reincarnation, and it has been five thousand years since you were sent to the Shadow Realm and five thousand years since the Puzzle was shattered.”

Seth's eyes narrowed. “So, he's your new lover, then?”

The undead monarch shook his head and proceeded to tell Seth -in the shortest with possible- what happened since the Puzzle was put together. “My love for Yugi is strange and cannot be helped. We're half a soul and cannot live without the other. And, as for Seto well, he reminds me so much of you; cold, beautiful, and there's a feline grace about him that I know you have always had.”

Seth stood there, letting this information sink. When Yami mention his feline grace, he couldn't help but smirk a little. Yami walked up to him, wrapping his arms around his waist. “I still love you, my dragon.” His former High Priest leaned down, claiming his lips in a deep, soul-searing kiss. Yami moaned softly, tasting exotic cinnamon for the first time in five thousand years.

The two ancient lovers pulled away when they heard a shout come from the Palace.

“What was that?!” Yami voiced Seth's thoughts.

“It came from the Palace,” Seth muttered. “Come on.”

“Who's Seth?!” Seto demanded as some as they entered the Palace.

“Keep your voice down!” Bakura hissed, looking around. “You're too loud, this place has a thing for echoing what you say or do,” he added with a grin.

“Pervert,” Seto muttered, rolling his eyes. “So, who is he?”

“The Pharaoh's High Priest; you incarnation.” The white-haired thief started ascending a large set of marble stairs. “Those two had a thing going on,” another perverted grin came to his lips, “Yami was such a begger.”

Seto rolled his eyes again, following him up the stairs. “Well, Yami is Yugi's lover, and I will kill the both of them if Yami decides to go back to Seth,” he said.

“I'm sure the undead monarch is smart, although I can't be totally certain,” Bakura said slyly.

Seto shook his head, as they went up another flight of stairs. The two stopped when they heard a muffled, insane voice, followed by a small, uncertain, clear, and familiar voice.

“He-Hello, master.” The brunet was off in a run before Bakura could blink.

The two followed the voices, the blood in Seto's veins pounded hard and fast as his anger rose. Suddenly, it all went quiet. The only sound the two could hear was the clicking and thudding of their shoes hitting the floor, as they slowed to a stop. Seto was just about to say something when they heard the voices and were able to understand and figure out who the voices belonged to, however they couldn't figure out where they were coming from.

“Pet, you're loyal to us right?”

That's Malik's voice; I should have known those two were up to something, Seto thought, his eyes widen when he heard the other voices.

They heard Joey, his voice small, curious, and timid, saying, “Hai, master.”

Then, they heard Marik reply, “Will you ever go back to Kaiba, if say he found out about me and Malik?”

There was silence for a moment, before the two heard Joey's answer, both praying that the blond would yell angrily at him, or something, even though he said he was loyal to them and what not.

Sadly, that's not what he said. “After da way he, Yug, an' dat bastard Bakura treated me, hell no.” Seto looked at Bakura, neither saying anything.

Suddenly their surroundings changed. Instead of dark and eerie with the walls echoing of imprisonment, they became bright gold, the walls echoing pleasure and lust. In the blink of an eye (and a shout from Seto), Seto and Bakura found themselves outside the palace, the gold walls emitting light through the back entrance.

Seto blinked. “What the hell? How did we end up back here!”

Bakura growled. “They must be in the Room of Feeling and Thought.”

“Mind explaining?” Seto said impatiently, starting to head towards the door.

“The Room of Feeling and Thought reflects the feelings and thoughts that are very strong and are coming from the walls in the palace,” acme Yami's voice from behind them. “Apparently, Joey was feeling so much hatred towards you and the Tomb Robber that the Palace rejected you two. However, if he's distracted then the Palace will allow you entrance.”

Seto and Bakura turned to see Yami and to Seto's annoyance, Seth. “What are you doing here!” He demanded.

Seth smirked. “Checking to make sure you weren't hurt…not that I would make any effort to help you,” he added.

Yami gave his High Priest a look. “Actually, we heard a shout and came here to see what was going on.”

“Hmph, we were about one hallway or so away from where Marik and Malik had Joey, but we ended up here,” Seto growled. Yami noticed that Seto's voice caught slightly when he mentioned Joey's name, but he didn't voice it. The group went in and started up the stairs, the same way Seto and Bakura went except they took different hallways (“When the feelings and thoughts change in the Room, so do the pathways to get there,” Bakura explained).

“That's what happens when a person who hates your guts and manages to get into the Palace of Shadows and into that Room,” Bakura said.

“Gee, I wonder why it's called that,” Seto muttered sarcastically.

“What, don't you like the name I gave it?” Bakura pouted, a fake look of hurt on his face.

Seto stared at him. “You gave it…?”

“He wasn't called Thief King Bakura and Prince of the Shadows for nothing,” Seth said, rolling his eyes. “Anyway, shouldn't we be searching for your lover?”

Seto glared at him. “Wheeler's not my lover.”

“Really?” The Priest's voice was dripping was sarcastic surprise. “And when did his name become Wheeler?”

The CEO's eyes hardened into icy glaciers as he stared at his incarnation dead in the eye. “I swear, I have to continue talking to you, I'm going to-”

“Seto, Seth, stop arguing now,” Yami demanded, as the group came to a split in the hallway. “Seth, you're coming with me down this hallway,” -he pointed to the hallway on the left- “Bakura, I assume I can trust you enough to take Seto down that hallway?” he asked, motioning to the opposite hallway.

Bakura nodded. “By Ra, they fight more than we do, and they've only known each other for a few hours,” the thief muttered to him, leading Seto off by the elbow.

_ . + * * + . _ . + * * + . _ . + * * + . _

Seto sighed, kicking a small stone in frustration. It had been years since he lost the reins on his anger. Why did he go on an outburst like that? Sure Mokuba, Yugi, and Yami would often tease him about liking the blond, but, then again, they were family. And, that bastard is just fucking with my head, he thought.

“Seto, stop,” Bakura said suddenly, grabbing Seto. Seto turned to look at him, before his own sensitive ears picking up on what Bakura was hearing. It was moaning, and it wasn't coming from the walls. In fact, they were coming from the open doorway at the end of the hall. Breaking into a silent, but quick, run the two were able to make it to the room without getting stopped by anything or disappearing to the front/back entrance.

Seto's eyes widened at the sight in front of him when they reached the doorway; Joey riding Marik, while stroking Malik's member, the Egyptian doing the same to the amber-eyed teen.

“Cum, puppy, I want to feel your hot seed all over me,” Marik said, panting. Malik was the first to cum, followed by Joey then Marik.

The two stayed quiet, waiting for them to catch their breaths. Seto was the first to speak as Joey cuddled up to Marik. “So, is this where you spend all your free time on the weekends? Fucking around with these two?”

Joey jumped, looking over. “Kaiba! Bakura, what da hell are chu two doin` here!”

Malik smirked. “Well, well, well, the great CEO and the Thieft King; what an honor. Come here to join the festivities?”

Bakura snorted. “Not likely.”

Marik pouted. “Aw, but five thousand years ago, you would have jumped at the chance to join an orgy.”

The half-albino rolled his eyes. “That was then this is now.”

Joey could feel foreign anger boiling within him. `Who the hell do they think they are coming over here and interfering with your personal life?' Said a small voice in the back of his head. `It's your business whether or not you want to get laid every weekend, and, after the way they treated you, don't you think they should just fuck off?'

Dat voice does have a point, Joey thought; glaring at the two in the doorway, while t the same time, pressing closer to Marik. “If ya came here ta save me from Mas-Marik an' Malik, den yer wastin` yer time.”

Seto blinked a look of shock crossing over his face before it was replaced with a cold expression. “If I remember correctly, you said they were evil jerks.”

“An; I said da same thing `bout chu, `cept I was wrong `bout dem,” Joey replied.

_ . + * * + . _ . + * * + . _ . + * * + . _

Yami glared at his High Priest as they made their way down the hall. “I disapprove of the way you're treating Seto, Seth.”

“Yes, well, if he's going to court you then I'm going to be as irritating as I please until he leaves this place,” Seth replied, ignoring his glare.

“Has anyone told you what a spoiled brat you are?” Yami asked with an edge of frustration in his voice.

Seth smirked, as they rounded a corner. “Yes actually; you, Isis, and Karim.”

Yami rolled his eyes. “You're impossible.”

“No, just sexy and irritating.”

The two Egyptians fell into silence as they made their way deeper into the palace. They stopped when a sudden gust of wind rushed around them.

When it finally ceased, the walls were no longer golden, but burning with flames anger. The temperature around them began rising dramatically from a hot-Canadian-winter-day (3C) temperature to burning-house (very hot) temperature.

“I have a burning feeling in my stomach that they found Marik and his reincarnation,” Seth said, looking around.

“We best hurry and find them before we begin cooking like chickens in the kitchens,” Yami said, grabbing Seth's arm, and ignoring his corny joke.

They had just made it around another corner when they were washed with a wave of coldness and an angry voice.

“An; I said da same thing `bout chu, `cept I was wrong `bout dem,” said a familiar blond voice.

“There's the room.” Yami started running, Seth close behind, coming up behind Seto and Bakura, who were currently too busy with what was in front of them to notice that they were behind them. The tri-colored haired spirit blinked when he saw Marik and Malik for the first time since Battle City. <>Bakura, is it just me or do they seem possessed?<> Yami mentally asked him, using his Shadow Magic to do so.

<>Now that you mention it, Pharaoh, they do,<> Bakura replied, narrowing his eyes, hiding the fact that the undead monarch startled him.

“Joey, get away from him,” Yami said firmly, sliding into view.

Before Joey had the chance to say anything, Marik wrapped an arm around him, his infamous insane grin coming to his face. “Pharaoh, it's been a while,” he said, “So, fuck your hikari yet?” Yami growled at him warningly. He felt Bakura put a hand on his shoulder to prevent him from lunging and killing the bastard, even though he could sense the other spirit wanted to do the same. “No? You really should, he's so hot and tighter than you can imagine, although he's not nearly as tight as our little puppy here, who gets a good fucking every week.” Yami, who was in between Seto and Bakura, gripped the CEO's hand in an effort to keep himself collected and not driven by rage to hurt and kill.

“Joey, if you go with them, how do you think Yugi's going to take this?” Seto said, trying to think of anything that would get the blond away from the two insane Egyptians on either side of him and to he, yami, Bakura and the idiot standing behind him.

Joey snorted. “Yug? Why da hell would he care?”

Yami blinked, completely shocked at what Joey had just said, and he wasn't the only one shocked.

“What the hell are you talking about, inu?” Bakura snapped, feeling his patience growing incredibly thin.

“Point proven, ya can't even call me by my given name or my las' name.” Joey's voice was dripping with rage as he spoke. “An' as fer Yug, he could careless wha' happens ta me since he said dat chu were gonna send me tad a Shadow Realm. Too bad I'm already here, huh?”

“Joey, Yugi would never say that,” Yami insisted, “You're his best friend, how could you even think that?!”

Joey rolled his eyes, at the spirit. “Suppose ya want da whole story,” He muttered taking a deep breath. “After I left da infirmary at da school, I went tad a public library. When it was closin' time, I left an' started headin' down da street, even dough it was rainin' an' shit. I was `bout five blocks away from da library when I saw Yug an' Kaiba walkin' tawards deir limo,” He glared daggers at Seto before continuing, “I told dem ta wait fer me an' den Yug turns ta me an' sneers, `What da you want?' I figured maybe it was too dark out fer him ta see me clearly, until Kaiba said I was wastin' his precious time,” He glared at the brunet again, “I asked if I could go ta his house, `cause he always said I was welcome if things were too rough at home. Den, Kaiba an' Yug burst out laughin'. Kaiba said I was a dumb lil' shit -or sumtin like dat- fer even thinkin' dat he was serious. Den Yug said dat Bakura was gonna put me in my place when he finds me. An', as a final comment before he and Kaiba left, He said dat Bakura was gonna put me in da Shadow Realm-where I belong.” Joey took a deep breath. “Dat's why I think dat, Yami.”

Yami was silent, unable to comprehend the fact that his light and lover would even think that, let alone actually saying it to the blond's face.

“Mu-Joey, can't you see that you're being manipulated? When Yugi, Yami, their, friends and I left the infirmary, I dropped everyone off, except Yugi and Yami, who came home with me, where we waited until quarter to nine, before I started calling around, looking for you. Then, one of my maids came into the living room where we were stationed, showing me the pieces of paper that she found in the guest room you stayed in. It supposedly took her 4 months to piece it together, but we where able to read it and it told us ore information then we wanted to know about what really happened on Christmas Eve. So, I left the second I read it and bumped into Bakura, who was out, looking for Ryou because the Shadow Realm opened close to where he (Ryou) was, so we went to the docks where we found Ryou, who told us that he saw you talking to thin air until he heard Marik and Malik's voices. As a result, we took Ryou home and went to the Shadow Realm, where we met up with this jack-er- aggravating person-” Seto had happen to glance at Seth when he said this “-and his little band of Priests. When they wouldn't give us the information that we wanted and needed, I was just about to yell at them, when Yami showed up. To make a boring story short, we split up into two groups, Yami going with him, and Bakura going with me, where we all eventually met up here.”

“An' why da hell should I believe dat after all da shit chu put me through?” Joey growled.

“Because, when Seto was out looking for you, I took Yugi to Ryou's, but found out that none was home, so I took him to Tristan's. I then got in contact with Ishizu and Rashid who told me that Malik and Marik were possessed and taken by an evil sorceress,” Yami said. The Millennium Symbol appeared on his forehead as he raised his hand. “Demons within Marik and Malik, be gone!!”

The two blond look-a-likes cried out simultaneously, clutching their heads as dark swirls of shadows came out of their backs and shattered like a monster in a virtual duel.

Malik opened his eyes and looked around. “What the hell…?”

Marik also opened his eyes, and finished his hikari's sentence. “…Where are we?”

“Pharaoh, what's going on? Where are we and why are we naked…Joey?! What the hell?!” Malik had a look of genuine confusion. “I thought I was in my room…”

Before Yami had the chance to answer him, there was a loud crack a bright flash of light and a young woman suddenly appeared next to the bed, near Joey and Malik. She wore black robes of silk. She had black hair, with ends tipped red and blond bangs.

The King of Games' eyes widened, while Bakura and Seth snarled. “What are you doing here, Kayanna?” the brunet demanded, his tail twitching.

Kayanna had a look of hurt on her face when he said this. “Is that any way to greet your cousin?”

“Kayanna, sister, why are you here?” Yami asked in a firm but gentle voice.

[Sister? Yami never mention anything about having a sister,] Seto thought, [However, I can understand why; the air around her is practically evil or dark, take your pick.]

“I've come back to summon my great god, something you stopped me from accomplishing. However, I'll need a sacrifice, and this boy fits the description of what I need,” she said, grabbing Joey and disappearing before anyone could say or do anything.
