Trial By Cards

Well here is chapter 2. If you want to read the story before it was put up here and before I learned proper grammar go read it on fanfiction.net. Well as always I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh so you no sue.

Chapter 2: Angels in Times of Need

" That's a BLUE EYES!" shouted Irina as she starred at the card in awe.

" I KNOW that I told you I had an awesome card," said Ray as she plugged her ears and took the card back.

" OK Ray how did you get the card?" asked Keora still in shock. This was impossible a Blue Eyes. It had to be a fake.

" I found it. I really hope it's not a fake," said Ray as she put the card in her deck.

" Hey, Ray that card, would really help me a lot. Can I borrow it for the duels?" asked Keora as she held her other cards face down on a table.

" Sure you can use it, I mean what would I do with it anyway," said Ray and handed the card over to her friend.

" So I wonder, are there any other cards I should use," said Keora as she looked at her deck. It consisted of her favorite monster and magic cards. Her best cards were the Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Light Magician, Black *Darky* Magician, Celtic Guardian, and the others her friends had given her.

One Hour Later

" Hey Keora, better get some rest," said Ray as she walked in from another trip to trade cards.

" Hiya Ray did you find any more good cards?" asked Keora.

" Yes, I got a Change of Heart, two Swords of Revealing Light, Magician of Faith, 2 Silver Fangs, Mystical Elf, and a new card called Gifted Crystal," said Ray as she passed the new card over to Keora for inspection.

" This is a very good card," said Keora as she passed the card back to Ray.

" I know and it's yours along with the rest. All I want is one of the Silver Fangs," said Ray as she took the card and passed the rest to Keora.

" Ray you really didn't have to do this," said Keora.

" Hey what are friends for?" asked Ray and curled up in her sleeping bag and started to drowse off.

" Yes, my friend what are friends for?" asked Keora to herself as she stared at the ceiling remembering the times they had helped her out.

Flashback

" I said to hand over your money missy now hand it over," said the bully.

" Not on your life mister. Me and my sister need this money," said Keora tho she was shaking like a leaf in the wind on the inside. Something in her mind told her she had to be brave and hold on.

" If you won't hand it over, I guess I'll have to take it from you," said the bully.

" How about NO I told you I need this money," said Keora and just stood there starring at him.

" Fine, just remember you asked for it," said the bully and ran toward Keora when all of a sudden a shadow jumped at him and hit him over the head with what appeared to be a crow bar.

" You all right?" asked the shadow.

" Who are you and what do you want?" asked Keora as she glared at the shadow.

" Names Irina, and I don't want anything except to help you," said the shadow.

" Show yourself," commanded Keora her voice harsh, but she was still shaking in fear on the inside.

" Fine you really don't have to be afraid," said Irina and stepped out of the shadows. She looked to be about one year older then Keora herself with black hair and orange eyes, but she looked nice enough.

" Hi, I'm sorry about being edgy, but I have to be careful," said Keora as she walked up to the older girl and shook her hand.

" That's OK. I heard the noise and decided to help out," said Irina as she looked at the man laying on the ground the crowbar next to him.

" You really knocked him out cold," said Keora.

" Yeah, I guess I did, but at least he's out, now come on I'll walk you home," said Irina as she walked out the door Keora out her side and dialed the police on her cell phone.

End Flashback

" And that wasn't the last time they saved me, but then again it wasn't even the first," said Keora as she thought back five years ago.

Another Flashback

" Hey Keora where are you going?" asked one of the bullies at school.

" I'm going home Tut. Now leave me alone," said Keora as she kept walking trying to ignore the boy.

" You really should learn some respect Kaiba," said Tut and walked in front of her.

" Well pardon me, but you are being a pain in the butt. Now please let me go home," said Keora.

" No, first you have to show me where you live. Then you have to give me your duel monster cards, Last you have . . . ," said Tut, but was cut off before he could finish because someone had hit him over the head with a bamboo pole.

" Ray am I glad to see you," said Keora as she hugged her bamboo pole wielding best friend.

" Same here, you're just lucky I've been learning karate and a bit of sword fighting," said Ray as she walked with Keora.

" Well I hope he doesn't bother anyone else," said Keora as she came to the orphanage where she lived with her sister.

" We'll see you Ray," said Keora as she walked thru the orphanage gate and into the house and went to find her sister.

End Flashback

" I always have an angel in times of need," whispered Keora as she drifted off to sleep.
