Jounouchi sat in the back row of his of his economics class sniffling almost every five minutes he had been getting constantly sicker over the last 4 days but now it was getting worse, he was not only sniffling but he was coughing, not those small coughs but the bad deep kind. He took a breath and tried to stop the on coming cough but couldn't. Yuugi, Yami and surprisingly Seto Kaiba, Looked back to him as he buried his head coughing. The teacher looked to him. "Mr. Jounouchi, Would you like to go to the health room?" She asked and he nodded. "Yes, Miss." He replied as politely as he could even though his head was pounding and he wanted to beat on the next person that talked to him. He stood and wavered as he walked out of the classroom and down the hall to the nurse's office. Yuugi frowned to his dark and then looked back to his notebook.

Seto glanced to the pair to notice the frown and then went back to looking at his book, the mutt wasn't important enough to care if he was sick or not. After about 10 minutes of talking from the teacher the door opened and Jounouchi walked back in. He didn't look any better in fact he looked much worse. He walked to the teacher and handed her a note, she nodded to him and said something to him the other people in the class couldn't hear. He walked back to his stuff, and packed up his things, walking out of the classroom slowly, even though he felt the classes' eyes on him.

He walked out of the class and the students looked back the teacher all but Yuugi, and Seto that is. The two kept there eyes on the door a moment longer and then Seto glanced to Yuugi who stared right back at him. Seto almost growled and looked away and back to his book. Yuugi sighed and looked to his Yami who had notice the look. After class had ended Seto got up as he always did and headed out. That was all Yami and Yuugi had seen of him that day.

The next day when they got to school, Seto was sitting in his regular seat with a book in his hand. He was silent as usual his calm, 'fuck you' attitude always present. They sat and waited for Jounouchi to arrive and when he didn't they began to worry. If Jounouchi was sick, he would need medicine or to go to the doctors, Jounouchi's father couldn't afford that. Seto noticed that the mutt wasn't there either, and somewhere deep inside him there was a pang of worry.

The next few days were just the same. Jounouchi hadn't been in school for about 3 days now and Yuugi was becoming more and more worried about his best friend. I mean he wouldn't even answer the phone. Seto was becoming increasingly more worried. It could have been because 1: he felt something for the mutt, that he didn't want to believe he felt or 2: he hadn't had a good bout of argument since the day before the mutt disappeared. Could have been a mix of both.

After school on the 4th day, Seto couldn't take it anymore, he went to Yuugi, stopped him. "Yuugi." he said in that cold voice he always spoke in. "Yes, Kaiba?" Yuugi said looking up to the tall brunette. "Where is the mutt?" He asked after a moment of hesitation. "I don't know, I can't get a hold of him." Was Yuugi's soft reply. His Yami stood by his side silent, he didn't have anything to say, he wasn't able to get a hold of Jounouchi either. "You haven't gone to his house?" Seto asked with a scowl. "Yes, But We didn't get an answer." Yuugi said softly. "Hn." Was Seto's reply. "Alright." The CEO turned and headed for his limo. Yami and Yuugi watched him and then started for their own home. They didn't notice the CEO's limo turning down the street that led to Jounouchi's house.

When the CEO's limo arrived at the Jounouchi house it stopped out front and Seto got out, having checked the schools database for information and address he went straight to the apartment that Jounouchi lived in and knocked. For a moment there was silence, and then some coughing yet, no one came to the door. He knocked again louder this time. Still no answer. He rolled his eyes out of frustration, he knew SOMEONE was home, why couldn't they answer the damn door? He tried the knob and to his surprise the door opened. He frowned as the smell of beer hit him strongly. He frowned and stepped in. "Hello?" He said, there was coughing off to his left so he headed that way. "Mutt?" He called coming around a corner and almost choking on the sight of the blonde puppy lying on the couch wrapped up in blankets, looking extremely pale. "M-" He couldn't bring himself to call him that in this state.

"Jounouchi?" He said after correcting himself. The blondes eyes went wide and he looked to the CEO in his house before coughing out "K-Kaiba" Said person walked around to where he could get a better view of the blonde. If he thought the view from behind the couch was bad the view from the front was much worse. Jounouchi wasn't even on a couch; it was like, the back of the couch and then the floor. Jounouchi was lying on some pillows his head propped against the back of the half couch, tissues scattered about some that looked like they might have blood in them.

"K-Kaiba what... *Cough* Are you...*Cough Cough* Doing here?" Jounouchi asked in a cracked voice. "People were beginning to worry about you...I was surprised to say, even I was worried about your health, pup." He said trying not to sound as cold as usual as not to upset the blonde. He leaned over and placed his hand to the blondes head. His blue eyes widened a bit, the blonde was burning up, and he must have a horrible fever.

Seto frowned, "Have you been taking medicine?" He asked crouching in front of the sick blonde. "N-No...we..." He turned his head away and coughed. "Don't have any." He finished. Seto frowned. "What do you mean?" He hissed. "If you're sick you need medicine." He said, "We-Don't have the money." He wheezed and then coughed again. Seto frowned and pulled the blankets off the blonde who cried out. "So Cold!" Seto frowned and picked the blonde up bridal style, and wrapped a blanket around him. "I'm taking you to the hospital." He said holding the shivering blonde close. "S-Seto no...we...and Insurance...Money..." He tried but couldn't as he coughed again. "I'll take care of it...Is there anything you want to take?" Seto asked quietly. Jounouchi bit his lip and nodded his head to where he was, where there was a fluffy plushie. Seto let his lips curl up in a half smile at the cuteness. He leaned over and the blonde picked up the plushie cuddling it close. With that Seto walked out of the apartment carrying the blonde out to his limo and sitting down, when he went to put the blonde down, the blonde whimpered a bit, he changed his mind and held the blonde in his lap. "The Hospital, Johnson." He said to the driver, the driver nodded and started off towards the hospital.

The blonde looked up to Seto, his face pale, "T-Thank you...K-kaiba." He whispered trying not to cough. The CEO nodded and brushed back a strand of the blonde hair. "Yeah...Well what Kind of 'friend' would I be if I didn't help out, once in a while?" He said a bit out of character but at the moment he couldn't think of saying anything harsh to the other. He blonde looked down and closed his eyes snuggling up to his plushie. After a moment the brunette looked down to see the blonde sucking on his thumb, asleep. He couldn't help but smile softly at the innocence the blonde had. He never noticed that soft angelic side before...

When the blonde woke he was laying in a white bed in a floral room, his blanket over him and his plushie under his arm. He glanced around and noticed that it was dark out and he wondered how long he had been sleeping. He vaguely wondered where Seto had gone and was starting to feel some kind of parting depression. He tried to reason that the CEO was just acting out against the norm and that he really didn't care, but when he saw the CEO walk back in carrying a can of Coke in his left hand and his cell phone in the other, he felt himself smile.

"Ah, I see you're awake." Seto said sitting down in the chair closest to the bed, pulling it a bit closer. "Yeah...how long was I asleep?" He asked softly. "For about 3 hours." He said softly. The doctors couldn't really check you out asleep, but they suggested you sleep, and then they would look over you." Seto said, Jounouchi nodded a bit. "Thanks again." Jounouchi whispered pulling his plushie in his lap petting its hair. "Don't worry about it, Pup." Seto said in a more affectionate tone.

"Which reminds me; I called your 'gang'." Seto mentioned. "So they knew you would be okay and stuff, if they keep you tonight I'll call and have them visit here tomorrow, If not you'll be going home with me, to which they can visit at the manor." Seto said in a tone that brooked now arguments. Jounouchi fell silent. After a moment a nurse walked in and smiled. "Ah, Mr. Jounouchi you're finally awake!" She seemed to be relived; she looked to Seto "We need to examine him alone." Seto frowned softly but stood nodding to the blonde and walked out. The check up then began.

After about 20 minutes of people going in and out the last person, the nurse, walked out. "Alright, we've done some tests on, we don't think that he needs to stay the night but we do need to make sure he's in a place where he can be watched at all times. Here are his prescriptions, we've called them in because of his case, so someone can pick them up, when he leaves, we've also given him the first dose of the bottom one, so that should start him off." She said politely and then walked off. Seto looked down to the two papers and then walked into the room, Jounouchi was sitting up, and he didn't look as pale anymore, probably from the first dosage. "Well, pup they said you can go...but like I said you'll be going with me." He said firmly.

Jounouchi nodded, he was in no shape to argue with someone as powerful as Seto Kaiba right now, now was he? He stood a little shakily. Seto walked to his side, and wrapped an arm around his waist to help support him. "I'll have my driver come in for your blanket." Seto said picking up the plushie and handed it to Jounouchi. Jounouchi nodded a bit. "Alright, thank you." He said softly, as they walked out to the limo, once Jounouchi was seated comfortably, the brunette told the driver to go get the blanket. Seto then got in and sat next to the sick blonde trying to offer a little comfort to the other. The blonde, sighed and leaned on the CEO's shoulder, sighing softly, coughing a bit as he did so.

The driver returned a moment and sat the blanket on the seat besides him. "To the pharmacy, and then home, Johnson." Seto said looking to the blonde who looked half asleep already. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed the game shop. "Kame Game Shop." Came the voice of Yami. "Hello..." Seto said. "Oh, Kaiba. What's up?" Yami asked waving for Yuugi to pick up the phone which he did. "Jounouchi will be staying at my house, as the hospital didn't admit him." "Why with you?" Yuugi asked. "Because I can't trust his father to watch him while he's in this time of need, I know for a fact that I can have people watching him at all time like the nurse requested." He sat while reaching up and handing the prescription papers to his driver who got out going get them. "Alright, well can we visit him tomorrow?" Yuugi asked hopefully. "Yes, you may." Seto replied. "Well thank you for calling, Kaiba. It was nice of you to help Jounouchi out." Yami said. "Of course. Now If you'll excuse me, were almost home." He said and hung up.

He put away his phone and looked down to the sleeping blonde. When they arrived at him, he picked him up and carried him inside with the plushie his driver following with the medicine and blankets. Seto pointed to the hamper and the driver put the blanket in there then set the medicine on a bedside table. Seto laid Jounouchi in his bed and covered him with his soft, silken blue sheet and then thanked the driver who left. He turned and looked to the blonde then went to a phone and asked his maid to bring up some chicken soup and a glass of soda.

He went and sat next to the blonde, picking the plushie up off the floor where it fell and set it next to the blonde where it wouldn't fall off the bed again. He watched the blonde snuggle into the bed and stick his thumb in his mouth again. He sighed softly and after a second thought reached out and brushed back the blonde's hair.

After a few moments there was a soft knock at the door. "Come in." Seto called and the maid walked in carrying a tray. He pointed to his bedside table and she set it down. "Thank you." He replied and she nodded walking back out. He sighed a bit and then turned to the puppy. "Jounouchi." He said softly. Said puppy grumbled and rolled over. Seto almost laughed at that, but shook Jounouchi gently. "Jounouchi." He repeated. "Sit up. You need to eat." He said, at the mention of food, the blondes eyes snapped up and he sat up quickly.

Seto picked up the tray and set it on the blondes lap. Jounouchi smiled a bit. "Wow Kaiba Thanks." He said softly looking over the bowl of soup and soda. Seto nodded a bit and sat back against the large headboard of the king size bed. The blonde began to eat while looking around. He coughed a few times, but continued to eat. When he was finished he set the tray aside and sat back. "So...What room is this?" He asked, looking at the all blue interior. "This would be my room." Seto said looking over at the blonde. "Wow, it's nice." Jounouchi said more than a little surprised that the CEO would let him anywhere near his room.

"Thank you." Seto replied with a soft nod. "Well pup, you need to get some sleep." Seto said matter of fact like, after Jounouchi had finished eating. "That's all I've been doing...Can't we watching a movie?" He asked softly. "We? ...Well...Alright." Seto said thinking about it. "What would you like to watch?" Seto said. "White Noise but...I could settle for The Grudge?" He said softly. "Why not White Noise?" Seto said. "It's in theaters." Jounouchi replied simple. Seto raised a delicate eyebrow and stood closing the curtains so it was dark in the room, grabbed the remote and sat back down under the covers with Jounouchi, he turned on the TV which was a rather large plasma up on his wall. He flicked a few channels and put in a code. "I don't like to go out to movies, so I have a deal with the major companies that I can just order them from home." Seto said and ordered White Noise. "Wow" Jounouchi said with a smile. "Cool" He said snuggling up in the covers to watch the movie.

The movie started and Jounouchi sat quietly watching the movie, Seto sat back watching it as well. As the movie continued Jounouchi started to inch back, the movie in his sick state scaring him slightly. At one point he jumped and hid his head in the closest thing to him. This in his present situation was Seto's Chest. Seto's eyes widened, both from the movie and the feel of the warm body taking shelter in his chest, he didn't know what do, but placed a hand on the back of Jounouchi's head to comfort him. Jounouchi noticed and looked up. "Uhh...Sorry..." Jounouchi muttered.

Seto raised an eyebrow looking down at him. "It's alright." Seto replied quietly. Jounouchi moved over a little and turned back to the movie. Seto smiled a bit and looked back to the movie oddly content with Jounouchi snuggled up to him. They watched the movie in silence. Jounouchi stayed rather clingy during the movie, in fact once again during the movie, Jounouchi found his face buried in Seto's chest during a more gruesome part. Seto almost winced during the part but as he's Seto Kaiba and afraid of nothing he didn't. Jounouchi sat back and looked back to the TV letting out a soft sigh. "Wow." He muttered, Seto grinned. "Yeah." Was the soft muttered reply.

They finished watching the rest of the movie, sitting closely together. When the movie ended Seto looked over to Jounouchi. "Happy?" He asked with amusement in his tone. "Yes..." Jounouchi said with a soft smile. "Thank you...for everything Seto...Err...I mean Kaiba." He said looking down. "It's no problem." He said softly. "And...Seto is fine." He added as an after thought.

"Well, Pup." Seto began. "I think you should get some sleep." He said with a nod. Jounouchi nodded a bit. "You gonna show me to my room?" Jounouchi asked softly. "You're sleeping in here..." Was Seto's reply. "Oh." Jounouchi muttered. "Get comfortable, you need your rest, the others will probably be here early tomorrow." Seto said getting up slowly. "W-ill you...sit with me till I get to sleep, Seto?" Jounouchi asked, he looked so vulnerable at the moment. Seto looked back to him and came to sit back on the bed. "Till you're asleep." Seto replied. Jounouchi nodded and got comfortable. "Goodnight Seto." Jounouchi yawned closing his eyes.

"Night, Pup." Seto said watching him quietly. Jounouchi soon fell asleep and by that time the brunette was feeling a little tired himself, and in his state of 'tiredness' he leaned over and kissed the blondes forehead in a loving fashion before peeling off the shirt he was wearing and getting comfortable next to the blonde in his bed. He stared up at his ceiling thinking to himself about the blonde and how he wasn't as loud and unlikable as he first thought, I mean sure the loudness is what brought Seto back time and time again, but maybe the fights were for something else. Sure the CEO took great pride in being the only person that could Jounouchi hot and bothered but, maybe it was just to be around him, spend time with him even. He hadn't really thought about that, he thought it was because he hated the blonde, but after what he did, did he really hate him? <i> of course you don't...</i> a part of his brain supplied. <i> In fact, you rather like him...</i> He frowned a bit, why hadn't he noticed before? <i> Too caught up in being the big bad CEO that everyone knows you as...</i> he frowned he was mentally talking to himself, was that...normal? His eyes slipped closed and he rolled over a bit, he'd deal with mentally talking to himself tomorrow.

At night people are known to roll, move, even snuggled up to pillows and objects in their beds, for Seto and Jounouchi things were no different and in the morning they found this out. Seto woke to find the blonde snuggled angelically in his arms and him holding the blonde in a rather loose and more than friendly way. The other thing he noted was that, it was after his alarm usually went off, since he didn't set it and that Yuugi and his friends were now, standing in his bedroom, looking at him like he didn't have a brain. Seto was more than a little pissed, I mean come on, he was comfortable, cuddled all with the blonde and they had ruined the moment, being all standing there watching him, judging him.

He shifted to move back but the blonde held onto him, so he settled in sitting up with the blond laying with his head on the CEO's chest and one of his own arms around his waist. "Well, good morning..." Honda snickered, to which he was elbowed by Otogi. "Yes...Morning." Seto replied with a yawn, he just got up for the love of Ra give him some credit. That's when it hit him; he didn't know how long they had been there. "How long have you been waiting?" He asked, "Just about 15 minutes." Bakura said, Seto nodded, "Well I apologize for making you all wait; I forgot to set my alarm last night..." Bakura grinned, "We can...See why." Seto fidgeted his hold on the blonde suddenly seeming more possessive to himself.

"Stop harassing him..." A voice groaned from Seto's chest. Seto looked down to see the blonde looking up at him, the blonde smiled and winked and moved so he was propped up next to Seto. "Jounouchi!" Yuugi's voice said and he rushed to his friend. "Hey, Yug'" Jounouchi said with a soft smile. "How are you feeling? Has Kaiba been taking care of you?" He asked in a rush. "I'm starting to feel better and yes, Seto's been taking wonderful care of me." He didn't notice that he said Seto but be sure, Bakura, Yami, Honda, and Seto himself caught it. Otogi, Yuugi and Ryou were to busy drilling the blonde on what happened last night for them to notice it. The two Yami's and Honda walked around to the other side of the bed, to talk to Kaiba themselves.

"So, Kaiba he's gotten permission to call you Seto, has he?" Bakura said with a grin. "Yes, I gave him it last night." Seto replied calm and collected. "That's Sweet." Yami smirked. "Yes, but since when do you do anything nice for mutts?" Honda asked getting to the bottom of what the more aggressive boys wanted to know. "Well Yuugi always says that I'm a friend. That is what friends do; they help each other when needed." Seto replied with what he tried to keep telling himself was a good answer. "Kaiba, you never gave a shit about us before why start now, and with Jounouchi?" Bakura hissed. "Because I wanted to, do I have to have a reason?" He snarled. "Yes." Yami replied, "Tell us." Honda added. "You three are going to be the death of me one day, but if you must know, when Jounouchi went missing, I even started to worry, I didn't like that feeling, the feeling I got when Mokuba was hurt or missing. So, I had to find a way to, stop it. So I did." Seto replied finally.

"So you care about him now? Like your brother?" Yami asked. "Well it would seem that I do." Was Seto's not so harsh reply. Bakura grinned, "That's respectable of you Kaiba." He stated and Honda nodded that when the three noticed that the giggling from the others had stopped and they all turned their heads to look at them. The two hikari's and Otogi were sitting by Jounouchi but the four of them were staring at the others. Bakura coughed, "Well I think its time we headed home, Hikari." Ryou frowned but didn't argue, he stood and waited and was pulled into an embrace by Bakura and walked out. Yami watched, "Sounds like a good idea, Good seeing you Jounouchi, Come on Yuugi" Yuugi hugged Jounouchi and then ran to his yami's side. Honda stood, "That'd be our cue, love." Otogi nodded, "Bye Guys!" He said walking out with Honda, Honda closing the door when they were out.

Seto looked to Jounouchi who was looking at him with questioning eyes, <i> Time to fess up! </i> his brain supplicated. Seto cursed himself mentally and turned to the blonde. "Jounouchi the truth is, I don't hate you." <i> keep going, Seto you're doing fine...</i> "Infact, I rather like you...and I found our time together to be, nice." He said softly. Jounouchi blinked at him and then cracked a smile. "I'm glad you don't hate me, Seto...And I'm glad you find the time we spent just last night, nice, I enjoyed it to." Jounouchi said with a soft smile. That started it all. That small conversation left so many things open to chance.

3 Days later, Jounouchi woke slowly, letting out a soft yawn. Seto had been taking care of him for so long now he couldn't imagine leaving the other, but he was starting to feel better and he would need to get back into the swing of school. He looked over to the space where Seto slept, it was empty as Jounouchi expected. "Morning." Seto's smooth voice called from the large desk seated near the window. That Jounouchi didn't expect. "Mmm...Morning Seto." Jounouchi said softly looking to the other. "Shouldn't you be at school?" Jounouchi asked raising an eyebrow. "Actually I stayed home today, it seemed as you were starting to feel better and I wanted to talk to you." He said, then added before Jounouchi could point out they could talk after school..."When you woke." Jounouchi stopped his mouth from opening and then nodded.

"Alright, What about?" Jounouchi asked watching the graceful CEO walk toward the bed. Seto sat and looked to him, "After what happened, I don't imagine I could go on living in this house with out your prescience, I was thinking and talking with Mokuba, Perhaps you would...Like to stay here...With us?" He asked cautiously. "Wow, Seto, I..." Jounouchi didn't know what to say he felt like the CEO has just proposed. "Y-Yes." He said finally with a nod. "That'd be awesome." He said smiling. "Good, I'm glad you think to." Seto said with a rare smile. "Oh this reminds me." Seto said after a moment. "I was out...and I saw something that...reminded me of you, and I though perhaps you would like it so I picked it up." Seto said standing, going to his desk grabbing a bow from on it and walking back over to the blonde laying in his bed. He held out a box wrapped with blue paper and laced with a white bow.

Jounouchi took the box and looked up to Seto, "You didn't have to." he said softly. "I didn't have to, but it kept haunting me, calling to me if you will." Seto said sitting down to watch Jounouchi open the gift. Jounouchi smiled softly and pulled off the wrapping and opening the box. His eyes melted. "Awe." He said pulling out a small stuffed animal. It was a puppy with a red ribbon around its neck, holding a mini get well card. "Oh Seto." He said holding the puppy to him. "It just seemed so...you." Seto said with a smirk. "I love it!" Jounouchi cooed happily. "I didn't think you were capable of being so sweet." Jounouchi said softly.

"Despite what most people think, I know what sorts of things to buy for people. Look at Mokuba, I've been making him very happy with the latest games and toys all through his life, but I know that nothing makes him feel better when he's sick like a stuffed animal, I figured perhaps you would feel the same." Seto said with a shrug. Jounouchi smiled and snuggled up to the puppy with a smile. "You're right, I feel better already." He said softly. "Oh really, then we can move you into your own room." Seto replied with a hint of amusement. "Oh! I suddenly feel sick again!" Jounouchi moaned out coughing.

"That's what I thought." Seto said shaking his head, he stood and started for the door. "Though I will say this puppy." He said looking to him. "You should take a bath...You're stinking up our bed." He said with a smirk. "What happened to sweet, caring, nice Seto?!" Jounouchi pouted and crossed his arms. Seto just smirked and walked out with a smug reply of "He got a wiff of you."
