Seto watched Jounochi sleeping peacefully in his hospital bed. He contemplated the last few seemingly days but what were only mere hours that he'd spent inside the boy. He'd found things to be so interesting. He found that they had more in common than he first thought. Now, the poor boy was exhausted beyond normal do to some virus that one of Seto's so called 'inventions' had given it access to do. They had also saved Jou as well. Seto glanced up at the poor boy tossing restlessly under thin, white sheets. Moaning inaudible words in between his limp movements of struggle. "No. Stop. Don't! I'm sorry, Father, don't, please, I promise to be good." Jounochi stated in his sleep.

His brow was forrowed and covered with droplets of sweat that glinted silver in the light. "Having tortured dreams again, eh, Jou?" Seto asked the sleeping boy.

He felt sorry that Jounochi couldn't feel comfortable telling anyone about his father's treatment of him. "I'm so sorry, Jou, I never took notice, even if I- I had had the same done to me." Kaiba spoke quietly.

Seto quietly took his leave, making sure to pick up Mokuba who was sitting in the front lobby of the hospital.
"This it?" Seto asked, pointing to the couple of boxes in Jounochi's hands.

"Yeah, I've never had much, so, this is it." Jou replied.

"Hn, I could have sworn you'd have more than this, but, if you say so." Seto gave a shrug.

Since the time of finding out about Jounochi's abuse, Seto took control of the situation and had brought Jou to live with him instead of with his father. Today was the day that they had planned on moving Jou out of the run down apartment and into one of the many guest bedrooms in the mansion. "Well, I guess I should just be happy that you'll be able to heal open wounds." Seto said, hinting at the hidden meaning behind that.

"I'm glad too, at least now I can definately send my Mom and Sis' some cash to help em' out." Jou replied, with a sigh.

"You'll wear yourself too thin if you think you can handle caring for them on your own your whole life." Seto replied.

"You've cared for Mokuba your whole life, and I'm not that easily knocked down." Jou pointed out.

"I guess your right." Seto admitted.

And thus, the two rivals became close friends, and maybe a little more later... But, for now, they lived happily ever after.
