'Amy walked into school the next morning. Finally. It was Friday! She couldn't wait to start her weekend. She was already sick of school and wished that she had already graduated!

'Suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks and blink not once, but twice before looking around the empty hallway.

'"Uh…is it actually the weekend and I'm too stupid to notice?" She mumbled.

'Why were the halls empty? She looked down at her sporty watch and shrieked in surprise.

'"OHH! I'M SOO LATE!!"

'She immediately raced down the hall to the staircase that led up to the third floor where her locker stood. But before she actually made it to the stairs she slammed HARD into someone.

'"OWW!" Amy cried as she rubbed her head.

'She heard someone moan in pain in front of her and opened her eyes to see who it was. Her eyes widened when she noted that it was someone she'd never seen before. Must be a freshman or sophomore..

'"Hey, I'm sorry! Are you alright?" Amty said as she crawled over to the girl.

'"Yeah, I think I'll have a nice goose egg though." She replied.

'Amy helped the slightly shorter girl to her 5'7" frame up from the floor. "Are you sure you're alright?"

'"Yeah, it's cool." The girl replied with a smile.

'Amy found herself looking into mysterious hazel eyes framed by light brown hair. Just then the thought of being late for class ran through her mind.

'"AHHH! I'M SO LATE!!" She cried as she suddenly shot past the startled girl and raced up the steps.

'

' "Miss Rose. So glad you could finally join my class." Mr. Taka said sternly as Amy raced into the classroom, screeching to a stop in front of Mr. Taka's desk.

'"I'm really truly sorry! I had no idea how late I was until I got to school!" Amy exclaimed as she panted slightly.

'The teacher eyed her for minute before sighing. "I do not put up with tardiness Miss Rose. You will see me at lunch."

'Amy groaned and rolled her eyes. Just then she heard someone chuckle evilly.

'"Mr. Ryou. Is something funny?" Mr. Taka asked sheepishly.

'"No." Bakura replied with a shrug.

'"Then I advise you t get back to the assignment that you are to be working on."

'Amy turned and looked at him and stuck her tongue out and snickered.

'"Miss Rose! Please take your seat!" The teacher snapped.

'Amy quickly took her seat next to Rei and sighed as she looked at her best friend. Rei gave her a sympathy look before smiling and shaking her head.

'"Miss Rose, please receive today's assignment from a fellow classmate and get started." The teacher said sternly.

'Amy sighed and looked at Rei again. Rei quickly explained to her and handed he the instruction sheet to read over.

'Rei on the other hand was constantly drifting off into her own world involving yesterday after noon in Duke's pool. Before Malik could come back Rei had ushered Amy out of the pool and quickly to her place. Rei didn't think that she could look Malik in the eye after that moment. Especially since it was obvious that something was going on between him and that dye bottle Angie Tysick.

'She sighed and looked down at her paper again. It was so hard to concentrate when the guy was 5 feet away! He occupied her thoughts more than before now and she really wished that he didn't! I mean, what if he was just playing with her? What if he figured out that she liked him and was only doing what he did to prove it to himself or to his friends?! She nearly groaned out loud at that thought. That better not have been it! She really didn't think she could stand the humiliation!

'Her thoughts were soon interrupted when the bell rang, signally that class was over.

'"Where have you been all class?"Amy asked as they both gathered their things and stepped into the now crowding hallway.

'"Thinking about yesterday." Rei replied with a shrug.

'"Ahh. Bothering you, huh?"

'"Yeah…I'm not sure what to make of it. I honestly think that he's just playing with me."

'"Who's playing with you?" A smooth deep voice asked next to them.

'"Hey Duke! What class did you just have?" Amy asked with a big smile.

'"English." He groaned, rolling his eyes. "I hate that class! I have the crabbiest teacher!"

'Rei smiled. "Please! Mr. Tucker can't seriously be crabbier than Mr. Taka!"

'"You have no idea! It's gonna take all night just to finish the assignment he gave us!"

'"I know, we got the same one!" Amy groaned. "And I was hoping to go for another swim, only this time at the beach!"

'"Yeah right. Teachers don't want us to enjoy ourselves at all when school starts!" Rei exclaimed, shaking her head.

'"Hello people!" Yami said as he slithered easily in between Amy and herself.

'"Yo, dude! What's goin on?" Duke asked.

'"Not too much man." Joey replied as he fell in step with the slowing growing group. "School sucks."

'"Yeah, we were just discussing why it sucked!" Amy sighed.

'"Awe, cheer up!" Yami babied as he slid an arm around her shoulders.

'Rei raised an eyebrow at this. Yami WAS hitting on Amy! What a surprise! She wondered what brought that on suddenly? She noted that even Duke had noticed and was hiding a smile. She looked over at Joey who was widely smirking at the two before turning his attention onto her.

'"So…Rei….have fun yesterday?" He smirked.

'Rei felt her face grow hot, remembering how Joey had seen them.

'"Why'd you leave so suddenly?" He asked, his smirk growing into a wide sly grin.

'"Screw off Wheeler! It's none of your business what she does!" Amy butted in.

'Joey laughed and grinned mischievously at them. Rei glared at him for a second before deciding that ignoring him was probably the best idea at the moment.

' Just then Bakura fell in step with them "What class have you got next Duke?"

'"Hey man! Uh, Science…I think.." Duke replied.

'Amy glanced over at Bakura with a smirk on her face. "Couldn't resist my cuteness so you had to join us huh Bakura?"

'Bakura shot a glare at her as everyone laughed. "There is NOTHING cute about you!"

'"Yeah, sure." She replied, rolling her eyes. "Still have those piercings in tact?"

'"Stay the fuck away from me, garbage disposal!" Bakura growled.

'Amy growled under her breath before trying to pounce on him. But Yami encountered her mouth and held onto her.

'"Now, now. Play nice." Malik said as he appeared next to a smug looking Bakura.

'"I AM NOT A-" Duke threw his hand over her mouth as people began to look in their direction.

'"Keep it down! Do you want to stay after school?!" He exclaimed.

'"Why do you honestly let him get to you like that?" Yami questioned.

'"Isn't it obvious by now?" Rei sighed. "He knows how to push her buttons. They've known each other since birth!"

'Bakura groaned in annoyance. Thanks for reminding me. Like I want to tell her anyway…"

'Amy shoved Duke's hand from her mouth and looked questioningly at Bakura. "What?"

'"My mom says don't even dare make plans. She wants you over for the barbeque tomorrow." Bakura replied with a shrug.

'"I already know that. My parents force me to go, always." Amy replied.

'"That was just a reminder. The thing she really wanted me to tell you is that she wants you to baby-sit Damien tonight."

'"What?! NO!! THAT CHILD IS DEMON SPAWN!!" Amy screeched.

'"Who's Damien again?" Duke asked.

'"My 4 year old cousin. He's visiting for the weekend and my parents had plans to go out tonight." Bakura replied.

'"Why can't you baby-sit him?" She demanded.

'Bakura smirked. "Because, I'm a man."

'"WHAT?!" Both Amy and Rei yelled.

' "But mom! I don't WANT to!!" Amy protested not even five minutes after she walked in the door after school.

'"Amy! Don't argue with me! You are going to baby-sit for them and that's final!" Her mother exclaimed in an exasperated voice.

'"Why can't Bakura do it?! It's his cousin!"

'"Bakura has a lot of homework that needs to be done and he has plans already."

'"But, I HAD PLANS!" She wailed.

'"No buts no nothing! Now get ready to go over because they're leaving in an hour."

'Amy made a frustrated noise before stomping off to her room and slamming the door.

'What a damn nightmare! Her whole Friday night plans ruined!! Not to mention that she had a ton of homework herself and would much rather do that then watch some brat related to Bakura in everything but looks! The child was demon spawn for crying out loud!

'She continued to grumble to herself silently as she changed her clothing into something more comfortable and grabbing a snack. By the time she was done moping her mom was tossing her the keys to her Nissan Skyline GTR.

'"Behave yourself." Her mother said sternly before going back to making dinner.

' "Hello dear! You're right on time!" Mrs. Ryou said as she opened the front door of the mansion.

'"Hello Mrs. Ryou." Amy said politely with a warm smile.

'"Please, come in and make yourself at home like usual. No need for formalities. I've known you your whole life remember?"

'"Yes."

'"I'm so glad that you decided to do this for me. We will pay you in full. Now, we're leaving in a few minutes. Damien is in the playroom playing video games, Bakura is upstairs somewhere, probably doing his homework quickly so he can go out later. What ever you want to eat, go right ahead. The chef is off for tonight along with every other servant. Now, I really want Damien in bed by 7-8 all right? He gets pretty cranky if any later and I guess just fix him something light for dinner. I'm not sure exactly when we'll return but it won't be until late. If you want you can stay the night, there is a guest room fixed up for you just incase. You know where to find them. Now…have I forgotten anything?"

'Yeah, to quit babying your only son and make him baby-sit! Amy wanted to snap. But only shook her head no.

'"Alright, you know where to find our cell number and Bakura's if there is an emergency."

'Amy nodded and removed her shoes.

'"I hope you brought a bathing suit? I wouldn't want you to be completely bored when Damien is in bed." Mrs. Ryou smiled. "Lucas? Are you ready to go?"

'"Yes. Let's get out of here before Damien appears. I don't want to be late for our reservations." Lucas Ryou said as he hurried down the long stairs.

'"Have a nice night." Amy said politely.

'"You as well dear." Mrs. Ryou said with a warm smile before her husband and herself left.

'Amy sighed and walked into the dinning room She set her bag on one of the chairs and made her way to the kitchen to grab a pop. She then went up to the second floor and proceeded to the playroom to check on Damien.

'"Well, here I am in hell. Again." She mumbled before pasting a bright smile and entering the playroom.
