Amy couldn't believe how much of an ass Bakura could be. Oh wait. Yes, yes she could! She continued to grumble to herself as she walked home.

She stopped when she looked toward the huge patch of trees, which was a short cut to her house but she didn't like taking it by herself but she was tired and wanted to get the hell off her feet! She decided that she was going to take it after all and trudged over to the path that led into the trees.

"Stupid Bakura.." She grumbled as she walked on. "I wouldn't have to walk through this creepy place if he wouldn't have been an ass for once!"

She took a deep breath to calm herself and hummed a tune to herself.

"That's a pretty voice." Someone said.

Amy stopped, startled. She whipped her head to the left, then to the right. When she didn't see anyone her heart began to pound. "Who's there?"

"Why don't you look behind you?"

Amy slowly turned around and peered at the man who leaned against a tree that she just past.

"What do you want?" She asked in an annoyed tone.

"Well, it's quite simple sweetie. Give me all the money you have on you. And jewelry."

Amy stared at him for a couple of minutes, taking in everything he said as her heart pounded through her chest. Maybe she could make a run for it. Yeah, she was fast! This guy was on the over weight side! He wouldn't be able to catch her!

At that moment she dashed in the direction that she was going and ran as fast as she could! She glanced behind her and noticed that the guy was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly she slammed into something. With a startled cry she fell to the ground and immediately something or someone was on top of her!

Amy shrieked when she felt her bag being ripped from her. A hand wrapped around her throat and held her to the ground as another hand searched every pocked she wore. Then grabbed all of her necklaces and ripped them off.

"Shut up girl! This will be quick." The man grumbled while another guy dumped her school bag out on the ground.

"She's got basically nothing on her!" The guy who held her down, growled.

"Same with the bag! What the hell! Are you poor or something?"

Amy became enraged at that insult and brought her knee up and kneed the guy who was holding her down in the groin.

He cried out in pain and backhanded her hard across her mouth! Amy whimpered in pain. She could taste blood in her mouth and knew that she had a split lip.

"Since you got no money girl, maybe we should have a little fun with ya for payment?" The guy holding her down growled in amusement.

Amy just shut her eyes tightly, as the guy squeezed her breast painfully. He then moved his hand down in between her thighs.

"You know I'm not into that! Let's get the hell out of here!" The other guy snapped.

"Fine."

Amy soon found herself free but didn't move until the running footsteps couldn't be heard anymore.

When she figured that she was safe she let the tears come and she curled up into a ball and cried.

"I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" Kaiba asked as he gave her a quick kiss. Are you sure you're all right? You still seem to be acting a little different."

"I'm fine. Just tired. I'll see you tomorrow." Rei replied with a smile.

"Alright. Later!"

He jumped out of the car and jogged up to his house.

Rei made sure he got in before driving away. She picked up her cell and dialed Amy's number.

"Hello?" Amy's mom answered.

"Hi Mrs. Rose!" Rei chirped.

"Hi Rei. You haven't seen Amy have you?"

Rei frowned. "No, I figured after her detention she'd be home by now."

"Yes, I even phone Bakura's place and he was there. He said that the last place he had seen her was at school."

Rei could feel the worry edging into her as she heard the concern in Amy's mother's voice.

"If you hear from her please tell her to come home. Or at least call. We're worried. It's not like her to just disappear like this."

"Will do."

Rei hung up her cell and decided to take a drive by the school to see if anyone was there.

Rei frowned even more when she noticed that the school was now closed. She then drove the root that Amy usually walked and found nothing. She began dialing everyone's number asking if they had seen her.

Tears finally came to her eyes as she threw her cell down in frustration. No one had seen her. Bakura was the last person to see her and even he was clueless!

Just then an idea came to her on a place to look. The huge patch of trees that Amy sometimes went through to get home. Maybe she hurt herself or something.

Rei drove back to Amy's walking root until she came upon the entrance. She pulled her car over to the side of the road just as another car pulled up behind her.

"Hey! Any luck?" Duke asked as he and Joey stepped out of Joey's car.

"No. No one's seen her. This is the only place I haven't looked that's near the school." Rei said, her voice full of worry.

"We'll find her. Bakura's gone downtown to see if he can spot her there. Malik's on the other side of town to see if she's there somewhere." Joey said.

Rei nodded in hope. Duke walked over and took her hand and squeezed it in reassurance. "Shall we check it out? Before it gets too dark to see?"

She nodded and the three headed into the trees.

They walked for a few minutes before hearing someone humming softly, and sniffling every once and awhile. Rei blinked before she saw short red hair cascaded over the ground attached to a small figure curled in a ball.

"Amy!" Rei exclaimed, jogging over to her friend.

"Rei?" She croaked softly, tears leaking out of her eyes.

Rei took in her split lip that now had dried blood running across her chin. "What happened?!"

"I-I was mugged…" Amy revealed in a trembling voice.

Someone swore violently behind them and tears came to Rei's eyes. Joey pulled her away and Duke picked Amy up.

"Think we should take her to a hospital?" Joey asked.

"Yes!" Rei replied. "Let's go!"

Duke settled Amy into the back of Joey's car. Then he ordered Rei to get in the front.

"We'll come back later and pick up your car." Duke said as he jumped into the back.

"Are you kidding? Leave my Honda S 2000 in a place like this?!" Duke glared at Rei.

Rei nodded and slipped into the front.

"Well, she's alright. Just a little beat up but nothing major." The doctor stated.

By this time Amy's parent's had been informed and were there listening to the doctor anxiously. Bakura and Malik had shown up a few minutes later to see how she was.

Rei glanced at Bakura. She had discovered that he was going to drive Amy home but they had fought and she had stormed off.

He wasn't looking all that healthy at the moment. His parents had shown up a few minutes after he did and his mother had immediately scolded him harshly for not driving Amy home.

Even though Rei should have in a way been angry with him she couldn't. She knew that it wasn't entirely his fault. Amy sometimes had a big mouth and couldn't keep it shut. But she could tell that he was blaming himself for it. It kind of actually brought a smile to her face. So Bakura cared after all, hmm?

Malik kept glancing her way until he decided to come over and sit down beside her.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah…I just wish this never happened."

"She'll be alright. You know how stubborn she is. She's just in shock right now."

Rei nodded and gave him a thankful smile.

Amy walked slowly up to third floor the next morning with Rei. Rei had come and picked her up and claimed that she was going to wait around and drive her home after school.

"So, do you blame him?" Rei asked.

"Who?"

"Bakura..."

Amy thought for a moment. She wanted to blame him so badly…but knew that it wasn't entirely his fault. One: She was part of the reason why they had in school suspension in the first place. Two: She could have just put up with Bakura's crap. And Three: She never liked going through that huge patch of trees alone. She could have taken the street and it wouldn't have happened.

She was alright now anyway, she cried enough yesterday to finally get over it and she felt a lot better today.

"Well?" Rei asked.

"Huh? Oh. No." Amy replied.

"That's good. He was in rough shape believe it or not. He was certainly blaming himself. And his mother really let him have it as well!"

Amy smirked a little at this but then felt guilty. She felt kind of bad for him. But like hell she was going to admit that out loud! He was Demon Spawn! And that's the way he is gonna stay!

"You head off to class. I'll be a few minutes. No sense in both of being late."

"Are you sure?" Rei asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine K! Really."

"Alright, see you in a few."

Amy nodded and headed to her locker.

She had just finished in her locker when she felt a hand slide softly down her right arm.

She whipped her head to the right in startled surprise and found Yami leaning against the lockers.

"How are you?" He asked in concern.

"I'm fine. Really." Amy stated.

"That's good. I'm sorry for what happened. It shouldn't have."

Amy nodded before glancing away. "Look, I have to-"

She stopped when she felt Yami's finger brush lightly over her split lip. "May I…kiss it better?"

Amy was stunned and could only stand there and blink. Yami took that as a sure and leaned forward, brushing his lips lightly over hers. He brushed his mouth more firmly over hers the second time before pulling away.

"May I walk you to your first class?" he asked.

He was being a complete gentleman! Amy nodded, completely at a loss with words and could only watch as he leaned forward again and brushed his lips with hers before taking her hand and guiding her to English.
