War of the Gods

Summary: Slifer, Obelisk, Ra, and two new gods, Osiris and Anubis, are terrorizing the real world, and only Yami and Seth have the power to stop them. Will they, or will the world crumble down to the powers of the five Egyptian gods?

"And the Gods had to do it now!" Seth complained.

"Will you just stop your baby complaining, Seth?" Yami cried. "Your babe, Seto, can wait!"

The five gods, Slifer, Obelisk, Ra, Osiris, and Anubis had just reached the town of Domino, and even with the powers of their Millennium items, they couldn't stop the gods. And then an idea popped into Yami's mind.

"Sacrifice…" He repeated that word a few times until Seth got the idea. But the sacrifice had to be in the name of the gods, and there was not much time to set up an altar.

"You have to do it here, Seth," Yami commanded. "Offer me. I'm their main source."

Seth looked bewildered. Of course, Yami was and still is the Pharaoh of Egypt, but being the main source? Yami pushed down Seth just in time. Slifer had just launched an attack at them.

"MAKE UP YOUR -!" Yami couldn't finish his sentence. Anubis sent a thunderbolt and shocked Yami out cold.

Okay, Seth told himself. Don't panic.

But he couldn't. The gods were getting fiercer by the minute, and Seth still hadn't decided whether to sacrifice the Pharaoh. But then he remembered that single promise he had made to Yami:

"Seth, do you promise to do anything I say?" Yami asked him.

"Yes, my Pharaoh," Seth answered.

"Even if that `anything' causes me to lose my life?"

Seth stared at him, and then said, "I am not sure, my Pharaoh."

"Please, Seth, make up your mind," Yami said.

"Yes." The high priest stared at his hands for his own answer. Why had he said yes?

Seth used his Sennen Rod to create an altar. He placed Yami's body on it, and cried out, "Lord Slifer, Lord Obelisk, Lord Ra, Lord Anubis, Lord Osiris, accept my offering…the Pharaoh, Yami."

The gods directed their attention to Seth.

Slifer and the rest turned to Anubis, and Anubis said to Seth, "We accept your offering. Hold up the Pharaoh."

Seth did as he was told, and once Yami was held up, Osiris lifted him high in the air and said, "You have done a great deed, sacrificing yourself. We, the Five Great Gods of Egypt give back your life, and the peace and prosperity of your world. We yield to you."

There was an eerie glow of light, and suddenly everything around Seth was now not covered in flames, nor was the skies gray. The grounds below him were not shaking anymore, and the world's Harmony was once again restored. Seth rushed over to the Pharaoh's side, picking him up in his arms.

Yami awoke a few moments after the sacrifice and said, "What the hell happened?"

"I don't think you want to be reminded of it, my Pharaoh," Seth said.

He took out his Sennen Rod, and said, "Let the memories of the sacrifice or of this day be erased from his mind!"
