'Ello all. Cheddar here! Today I bring you an angst fic, having to do with the Kaiba brothers, and, the ever mighty, Linkin Park (LINKIN PARK ROCKS!!). *ahem* Anyway, these is a fic set while Mokuba's still in the dungeon at Duelist Kingdom, and it switches from his POV to Seto's. And I added lighting effects! You'll see what I mean. ^_~ I'm so corny....

[Seto's POV]

~Scene is dark, then starts to lighten up. You see Mokuba in his dungeon, through the bars. He is sitting on the floor, looking at the card locket around his neck.~
{I woke up in a dream today, to the cold of the static, put my cold feet on the floor.}
Mokuba stared at the picture of a younger Seto. A tear dripped down his face, and he closed the card locket.
(Big brother will come to get me, like he always has. He never gives up. Why can't Pegasus see that my brother will win. He always has, and always does. Brother will come....)
"Seto...." whispered the terrified child.
{Forgot all about yesterday, remembering, I'm pretending to be where I'm not anymore. A little taste of hypocrisy, and I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react, even though you're so close to me, you're still so distant, and I can't bring you back.}
(Why did I wait outside that door and eavesdrop? If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have gotten caught, and Seto wouldn't be in this mess...) The young child closed his eyes and imagined he was in another place with his brother. The image brought tears to the young Kaiba.
{It's true, the way I feel, was promised by your face. The sound of your voice, painted on my memories, even if you're not with me, I'm with you. You, now I see, keeping everything inside. With you. You, now I see, even when I close my eyes. With you. You, now I see, keeping everything inside. With you. You, now I see, even when I close my eyes. With you. }
"Come soon Seto... I need you..." the preteen continued to cry, though silently.
~Scene starts to swirl, until it's dark again, and it reappears with Seto, walking alone in a forest, carrying his briefcase.~
Seto walked along, deep in thought, when an old flashback from long ago surfaced to his mind.
~*~Flashback~*~
"Leave him alone!" the young Seto cried, standing in front of his brother. The dark figure of Gozaburo stood in front of them, laughing mockingly.
"You little brat..." he punched Seto hard in the stomach, causing the young boy to whimper but hold firm.
"Promise to leave my brother alone!" the young Seto cried, still holding the evil Gozaburo off......
"We'll see....."
~*~End Flashback~*~
{I hit you, and you hit me back, we fall to the floor, the rest of the day stands still. Fine line between this and that, when things go wrong, I pretend that the past isn't real.}
Seto shook his head to rid himself of the horrible flashback.
[I hope Mokuba is alright, and Pegasus isn't hurting him... God, I shouldn't have let this happen. It was my fault he got kidnapped. God, what if something happens to him? I'll have nothing to live for... not that I do now.]
