"Hey Yams I heard what happened bud," Jou said as he motioned for Yami to take his seat next to him. Jou noticed Yami gazing at his plushie every once in a while in an effort to comfort himself as others in class whispered about Yami's outburst in Physics class earlier. Though no one dared to actually mention Yugi's name since Jounouchi, Honda, Ryou,Bakura, Marik and Malik were present. //Koi the Pharaoh seems to be in very bad shape.// /I know he does./ //I really wish there was someway to get his light back for him.// /Marik do you actually feel sorry for the Pharaoh, I can't believe it my Yami has a soft spot for the Pharaoh./ //Hey it's not what you think Malik it's just I would be the same if you had been taken from me.// Yami tried his best to pay attention to what the teacher was saying but all he really could think about was Yugi. //Aibou I don't know how much more I can take it just hurts so much I love you Aibou// /................/ Yami mindlinked his light even though he hadn't heard a reply back since that faithful day.
After English the gang went to the caferia for lunch. "Yami the food is actually really good since Kaiba pretty much hired the chefs to make all the schools food," Honda said as he handed Yami a tray. Yami ended up choosing a hamburger, fries and a coke before sitting down on the lunch table joining his friends. Just then Jou's phone rang. "Hey Yami it's Kaiba he wants to talk to you, " Jou said handing the cell to Yami. "Yami I heard about what happened, I'm sorry," Kaiba said.
"Kaiba can I please come....," Yami was about to same home when Kaiba stopped him from asking the question. It pained him to hear the quiver in the Pharaohs voice but he held his ground. "Yami-Kun I'll be there to pick you up after school okay and then we can spend the rest of the night together," Kaiba said before hanging up the phone. Yami then handed the cell back to Jou before eating his food in silence occasionally sniffling back tears that tried to escape.
After lunch Yami had went to Calculus and homeroom before heading off to the last class of the day which was physical ed.
"Good afternoon everyone for those that may be new here my name is coach Sakano." " After I take roll everyone go to their respective locker rooms and get dressed we'll be doing the obstacle course today." Everyone let out a groan the obstacle course was somewhat difficult especially if you hadn't been active during the summer. "Come on everyone hurry hurry times a wasting," Coach Sakano said as he blew his whistle.
"Hi Yami it looks we're in the same PE class, " Hikaru said as he sat down next to the smaller teen. Hikaru then opened his locker ,pulling out his gym clothes. He then casually took of his shirt and unzipped his pants so that he was only standing in a pair of dark blue boxers. He smiled noticing the smaller teen blushing at his semi nakedness before he quickly threw on his gym clothes. **I guess Yami isn't comfortable seeing people dress in front of him** Hikaru thought before yelling out to Yami,"I'll see you at the obstacle course Yami." Yami quickly threw on his gym clothess and headed for the obstacle course.
"Okay boys and girls listen carefully as I explain this weeks course, if you don't get a good time don't worry the goal is to finish it," Coach Sakano said.
"By the end of the week everyone should be able to finish it and will have improved on their time," Coach Sakano said. Coach Sakano then explained the layout of the course which was as follows: 1. Start off by doing 25 jumping jacks. 2. Run through a maze of 20 tires 3. Scale the 8 ft wall 4. Run a half a mile and 5. Hola Hoop for 2 minutes. "While your classmates are running the course you can relax until it's your turn," Coach Sakano said as he took out his roll sheet to call his first victim.
/Bakura it's my turn now./ //Your time better be better than everyone elses Tenshi.// /Why do you have to be so competitive?/ // I have ways to motivate you my light.// Bakura smirked as he stood behind his light. "Okay Ryou get ready set go," Coach Sakano said as he started his stop watch. Ryou managed to get through the jumping jacks and maze of tires with relative ease, though he started having some trouble scaling the wall. //Ryou you need some motivation?// /Bakura?/
Just then Ryou pushed forward getting an unknown source of energy, or motivation as Bakura would call it. "Wow Ryou is kicking ass on that wall," one of the classmates said. ** Well if you had a crazed Yami ferociously smacking your bottom you'd try to get away too** Jounouchi thought smiling. Ryou then zipped through the half mile, though having Bakura running next to him with a knife might have influenced his speed. /Bakura your so not getting any tonight./ //Oh come on Tenshi you're going to finish this in record time just have to hula hoop// /Mmmph/ "Wow Ryou look at him go," Malik said as he watched his fellow hikari sway his hips in an almost errotic dance. Various whistles were flown towards Ryou causing his Yami to snarl. **How dare they whistle at my light** Bakura thought. "Well everyone looks like Ryou has the fastest time so far 10 minutes," Coach Sakano said as he called the next student. Jounouchi,Honda,Otogi,Malik managed to do the course in 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
The only two students left were Hikaru and Yami. "Hikaru your up," Coach Sakano said as Hikaru took his mark.
Hikaru then took of his shirt revealing his lean muscular chest it was obvious that he liked to keep in shape. He then took off at a ferocious pace. "Go Hikaru," a couple of the girls yelled! "Hikaru you can do it," the guys yelled as Hikaru practically whizzed through the course without breaking a sweat. "Hikaru it looks like your're the one to beat 9:50 seconds," Coach Sakano said as he gave Hikaru a thumbs up. Hikaru then walked over to Yami who was currently sitting down next to Jounouchi. "Well I guess your up good luck Yami," Hikaru said as he flashed Yami a smile. "Yami you can do it," Jou and the rest of the group yelled. "Pharaoh you want me to summon Ra so they can blow some fire at your ass," Marik said causing everyone who could hear him to give him a not so friendly glare. "What I was being nice it's for motivational purposes," Marik said trying to stiffle a laugh.
Yami stood up and walked to the start of the course. ** I wonder if he has the strength to complete the course** Jou thought to himself knowing full well the fragile state Yami was currently in. Coach Sakano then gave Yami the go. Yami was able to complete the jumping jacks and tire run without much trouble. It took a couple of attempts before he was able to scale the wall. "Yami don't get frustrated you're doing great for your first time," Honda yelled. "Yeah Yami you're almost finished just a quarter of a mile and then you'll be hula hooping," Malik yelled. **Oh Ra I'm so tired** Yami thought to himself as he finally picked up the hula hoop. **hah...hah...hah** Yami was clearly running on the desire to win this "game" the sweat dripping from him as he fought the hula hoop for power.
// Aibou....I did it.// "Yami," Jounouchi yelled as the former Pharaoh fell to the ground. Jounouchi then ran to Yami who lay panting on the ground. "Yami how are you feeling," Coach Sakano asked as he handed Yami some water? Yami lay on the grass dazed and confused. (15 minutes later) "Yami I'll walk with you to the locker room," Hikaru said. Noticing the look of bewilderment on Yami Hikaru replied, "Coach Sakano wanted to talk with Jounouchi so he said he'll come get you."
"I wish someone would have told me, I would have let him sit this one out," Coach sakano said as Jounouchi explained the fragile state Yami was in. "Yeah Coach Yami hasn't had much of an appetite either, he barely nibbled on his lunch too. Coach Sakano then shook his head as he gazed at the stop watch, there on it's face was the time 10:05. "Jounouchi if Yami can do this being as he is right now just imagine how he'd do if he was well," Coach Sakano said as he showed Jounouchi the stopwatch.
Coach Sakano and Jounouchi talked for another 15 minutes mostly about what classes Jou was taking this year and the upcoming basketball tryouts.
Meanwhile Hikaru was towel drying his hair as he waited for Yami to finish with his shower. ** I have a feeling that I should wait till Jou comes** Hikaru thought to himself as he laced up his sneakers.Just then Hikaru heard a familiar voice in the area where Yami was. Getting a weird feeling Hikaru ran to the shower area only to find Trey standing outside the very shower stall Yami was in. "Trey that stall is occupied why don't you go use that one over there, " Hikaru said pointing across the room. Just then Yami came out of the stall after covering himself in the towel that he laid over the shower curtain. "Hmmpf Yami you should be so lucky I don't want to deal with any obstacles right now, " Trey whispered more to himself as he walked out of the locker room...
