"Hi this Hikaru."
"Dark Sanctuary doesn't own Yugioh or Hikaru No Go."

 Hikaru's POV

We all sat in Kaiba's living room somewhat surprised when Yugi burst through the doors, followed by Bakura and Malik who were rolling in Professor Hawkins.  I was a little perplexed to not see Yami by his side.  Yet before I could voice my concern you blurted , " Where's the food I'm starved?"
"Kaiba told us that his chef Cassie was going to cook up something," Yugi said planting himself on one of the recliners.   As if on cue Cassie walked in, " Food's ready get it while it's hot."   Cassie had whipped us up some fried chicken, mac n cheese , tater tots, corn bread and cole slaw ( I don't like cole slaw).  "Wow Cassie you sure outdid yourself again," Mokuba exclaimed who was joined by his friend Rei.   “But why are you here , I thought you had a family vacation to go on,” I heard Mokuba ask between mouthfuls of food. “Flight delay troubles so I'm stuck with you all till it gets taken care of,” Cassie laughed.




Fifteen minutes into the meal I decided to ask the question, "Why aren't you with Yami, Yugi?"  
"Last time I saw him it looked like he was about to get stitches, I don't know pass me the corn bread please."  
"What he's getting stitches and you just left him, is he going to be alright?" I asked.
"How the hell do I know," Yugi snapped.  He then quickly finished the food on his plate.  

"Mokuba where am I supposed to sleep, I'm pretty beat," Yugi said standing up from the table.  
"Aren't you going to sleep in Yami's room with him," Mokuba asked somewhat perplexed?
"Fine I guess that will do for now where is it," Yugi asked?
"It's upstairs three doors down from Seto and Jou's."
"You can't miss it, it has a Dark Magician decal on the door," Mokuba said.

As an after thought Mokuba then turned towards Yugi as he was walking out of the dining room, " If you really want I can have one of the maids fix you up your own room tomorrow."   Yugi barely nodded before heading towards the staircase.


(Several hours after dinner)

Once Mokuba and his friend had headed to bed we decided to make some sense out of everything, more so Yugi's behavior.
" I know that his attitude towards the Pharaoh is less than friendly right now, " Arthur said while sipping some peppermint tea.  " You must understand Solomon's death must of been the last straw for him," Arthur said.   "I understand that but he shouldn't have left Yami,"  Bakura said voicing the  thought in my head.

Arthur sighed.  "Solomon found out the real reason behind Yugi's kidnapping."  "Back when Solomon first came upon the Pharaoh's tomb he had hired some guides to take him to it."  " You all know that one of them tried to kill him after he had found the Pharaoh's treasure."  "That person was Byakuya."  " At the time Solomon just assumed that this guide was only money hungry."   "Sorry to interrupt Arthur but how did Solomon escape,"  I asked?  "Hikaru he was saved by the Spirit of the Pharaoh."   "The rest of the story everyone knows."   "Though it wasn't until Yugi's kidnapping did Solomon find out that Byakuya wanted the Pharaoh's power in order to sustain his own existence. "   "Though the only way to get it would be to break his soul."  " In other words since Yugi is the other half to Yami's soul, by tainting Yugi he was able to break Yami's soul.  


"Once the person's soul is completely broken, Byakuya kills them and continues the cycle in another hundred years."    " Okay but Yami defeated Byakuya in a penalty game," Ryou said.   "That's true but that wasn't supposed to happen."  "What do you mean Arthur," I asked?   "In the past one of two things occurs once someone is kidnapped by Byakuya that person is either enslaved and forced to do whatever Byakuya tells them or they are killed."  "Yami was really the true target all along, but his will had to be broken in order to Byakuya to enslave him to take his power for himself. "   I continued to listen intently as all this was unfolding all the while wondering how Yami was fairing.

" Yugi was the lucky one as he wasn't killed right on the spot."  "Although that was probably because Byakuya needed him alive in order to lure Yami out to him."
"What Byakuya didn't take into account was that Bakura and Marik were going to come to the Pharaoh's aid," Arthur said giving his knuckles a crack. " You see Hikaru, Byakuya let Yugi go on purpose."  "He was basically going to force Yami into becoming his slave or else he'd take Yugi away again."  

"That's absurd the Pharaoh would never let someone enslave him!"  

"Marik when it comes to Yugi, the Pharaoh would do practically anything for him."
//  That's what I'm afraid of Malik.//

"Well since Byakuya was forced into a shadow game and lost, he wasn't able to complete his plan fully," Arthur said.   "Though sometimes he bonds to his bait, Yugi in this case as a backup if his true victim becomes unavailable."  

"Unfortunately we still don't know everything that happened between Yugi and Byakuya."   
“Hopefully Yugi will be able to give us the answers that we need,” Arthur said as he set his empty mug on it's coaster.


An hour later everyone had decided to get some sleep. Unable to sleep I sat in the living room contemplating what Arthur had said.  I had to see Yugi and find out what was really going on with him.  The person I witnessed today wasn't the same Yugi that Yami portrayed.  Once up the stairs I saw  that the door to Yami's bedroom was slightly ajar.  I gasped almost falling backwards as I saw Yugi in an uncompromising position.  

"Would you care to join us?" I as literally taken aback at how casually he spoke even though his dick was being sucked on,  Managing to compose myself I began to speak.  

"Who is this guy?"
"How did he get through Kaiba's security?"

"Hikaru don't worry he's not even here, lets just say he's an illusion."
"I'm not blind Yugi, illusions can't do that," I said as the illusion wiped Yugi's cum from his mouth.
"Well lets just say it's similar to the virtual software that Kaiba uses for Duel Monsters?"

"Enlighten me Yugi," I said clearly appalled.
"It was a way for us to always be ready for Byakuya."
"Though I did enjoy it for fun as well," Yugi smirked as he twirled a silver bracelet.  I had vaguely remembered seeing one like it before but at that moment I couldn't remember.

"Do you even know what you are doing," I said not wanting to wake everyone else up?
"Hey it's not like I'm fucking an actual person, although I have fucked Mitch several times for real."

"Yugi , how do you think Yami is going to feel?"
"Honestly I don't care Hikaru."
“No Hikaru I don't care.”
“Your lying Yugi, what are you hiding?”
I watched as he just sat there grinning like a hyena that had found it's prey.


I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All  these months of Yami pinning over Yugi.
The things he's put himself through for his light. I just didn't understand why Yugi was acting this way. I carefully opened the top drawer of Yami's bed-stand pulling out a medium sized bag.

"Do you even know what this is Yugi?"  
"It's how much the Pharaoh loves you, that's what it is."

Yugi slightly winced as I revealed the contents of the bag. In it were vials of  thick liquid medicine along with needles, pretty thick ones at that. A bottle of pills graced it's contents as well.

"Shortly after your capture he started becoming ill. “ Nurse Lily diagnosed him with Hikari Strain Syndrome.”  “Yami had to be injected with these in order to combat any discomfort you might have experienced if he hadn't otherwise," I said.  **So that's why I barely felt pain, why I recovered so easily** Yugi thought to himself.

"It started with one injection every four days, and then quickly moved to twice a day. " "Sometimes he'd have to take these pills as well, especially if he missed an injection."

"I didn't ask him to do that!"

"No Yugi you didn't but he has done this for you."
"These aren't little injections that go in his arm either or pills that he just swallows, no he takes them in the behind." I then tilted one of the bottles allowing the liquid to move within the confines of it's container.  For a lack of a better description it moved like maple syrup.

I watched Yugi's reaction at what I was revealing to him. That the time it took for these injections was more than mere seconds no it was painstakingly longer. Three minutes to be exact I had found out one time.

"Kaiba and Jounouchi are the ones who have been giving them to him," I sighed.
"The few times I ended up having to inject him because they needed a date alone."
" I almost gagged at seeing how swollen the area got after the needle penetrated."  
"Several times he needed an icepack to combat the swelling."

"You know through all his tears, he always said that he couldn't live without you his Aibou."
"That he would do anything to ease your pain and suffering even if it meant he'd take your place."

“Hikaru I didn't ask him to put himself through all of this,” Yugi whispered as he fingered the contents of the bag.

 
"He'll tell you that this was nothing, but I'm telling you it's something."
“Everyone expects him to be this brave powerful Pharaoh but to me he's vulnerable and scared.”
"I'm sorry for your loss and pain but don't take it out on him."
“ I wasn't at Kaiba land Hikaru, all this time waiting , wondering when I'd be rescued.”
“Don't you think he knew that?”
“It was as if you had died when he had no way to contact you.”
" I don't know what you're trying to hide , but don't shut him out."

“I'm not trying to hide anything from him, I don't have to tell him everything in my life.”

" Bullshit Yugi, Yami deserves to know what's going on with you," I said before closing the door behind leaving Yugi alone to ponder what had just conspired.

I then decided to head back downstairs in order to get something to drink. I was glad that the cocoa machine was still out. Once I had made myself some hot cocoa I sat down to enjoy it.  Several minutes later the sound of blue eyes announced the arrival of Kaiba, Jounouchi and Yami.

"He's had a very rough time," Jounouchi said as Kaiba carried the Pharaoh through the doors.
The tears were still fresh on his cheeks as he sniffled in his sleep.

“We should put him to bed he's going to have a long recovery," Kaiba said.
"He should sleep in your room tonight," I heavily suggested.
"Well we thought he'd feel better sleeping in the same room as Yugi," Jounouchi said.

I mistakenly let a sigh escape my lips.

"Wait don't tell me Yug is still angry with him for who knows what?"
"You could say that Jounouchi  it's more than that though."

Once I had finished my Yugi revelation the two of them didn't know what to say.  Finally after five minutes of deadly silence Jounouchi spoke.  “Seto, Yami needs his sleep let's head up to bed.  “Goodnight Hikaru.”
