This takes place about three years after the beginning of the season before Duellist Kingdom, so Yugi is about sixteen now.

Before I begin, I'd just like to remind you that this is a TEASER!!

Teaser - To be a duellist…

To be a duellist you must have lots of special skills. A quick mind, for one… and equally quick hands. You must also have an average to brilliant knowledge of the game they call -

Duel Monsters.

And that's exactly what Casey Katemera has. Quick hand, quick mind, brilliant knowledge of Duel Monsters, and finally… no close friends who hang around her all of the time to slow her down on her way to the top.

See, Casey is the number one duellist in her home country, Australia. She has been playing Duel Monsters ever since the game had first come out. After quickly grasping the rules and concepts of the game, she was able to beat every boy on her block who was also fascinated by the game by the time she was six.

Then at age eight, her parents (quite proud of her) entered her in a tournament for juniors. She won, naturally, and came quite close to beating the senior champion in an exhibition match.

When she was ten years old, she travelled to Japan for a special tournament there, kind of like a forerunner for Duellist Kingdom. She won that too, surprising the creator of the game, Pegasus J. Crawford. He offered her a partnership in the game, but her parents intervened, saying that their daughter was too young to co-own a corporation as large as Industrial Illusions.

A year later, she entered the Australian Duel Monsters Tournament, and won her age division, ten to twenty year olds. She herself was surprised at this, having come up against some very tough opponents.

At the age of thirteen, she competed in another tournament in America, and was narrowly beaten by Rebecca Hawkins - even then, Rebecca came very close to surrendering.

Now she is fifteen - and is still holding the title of number one duellist in Australia for four years running. She has never lost a duel, except to Rebecca, and the two are friends - they would be best friends, but for the fact that Rebecca lives in America. As she has the title of number one duellist, she has been invited to the World Championships that are being held in Sydney, Australia.

Casey can't wait to meet the other champions from Asia, Europe, the Pacific, Africa, the Mediterranean, Canada, New Zealand and South America. As she already knows Rebecca, there will be at least one familiar face in the crowd. Casey decides to look up the people on the internet.

Casey grinned and leaned back, satisfied. She was #2 in the world, having beaten Tamera in their last match. She had never met Yami Motou, whoever he was. Anyway, it was sure to be a good tournament, even if she didn't win (which she doubted).

One thing… she had better organise a meeting with this Daniel Lennon, if he was to be accompanying her to the tournament as a backup. She just hoped he didn't expect to duel…

Yami leaned back from the computer he had just learnt how to use, ecstatic. He was number one! He quickly calmed down, and considered the list once more. Buka and Seto were going to be competing against him, huh? Well, they had better watch out! Yami winked at his love, who was lying on the bed, exhausted from caring for Hana, who was teething.

"We're going to Australia, koishii. Soon." Buka lifted her head and smiled.

"Australia? That's nice…" she replied, and dozed off again. Yami turned the computer off and walked over to the bed, laying down next to her.

"Sleep well, koishii. You'll need to."
