ANZU MAZAKI'S POV WHEN YAMI NO MALIK BEATS YAMI NO YUUGI AND THE WORLD THAT IS IN DARKNESS
I used to think that we could do anything when Battle City was over. Yuugi, Jonouchi, Honda, Shizuka, Mai, Ryou, Ryouji, Kaiba, Mokuba, and I were in total shock when we saw Yami no Yuugi lose. He's never lost a duel except for the one against Kaiba at Duelist Kingdom, and he was saving Kaiba's butt. Yami no Malik didn't care. He has taken over the world, and now the world is a place where you can't go without seeing the Millennium Symbol. Yami Malik has brainwashed many people. I'm not one of them. I've joined a rebellion with my friends. I miss Yuugi, he would have helped us. But he's gone. So is Yami Yuugi. Battle City was the worst year of my life. I'm sure you might agree if you knew what happened to me. Kids today are all slaughtered with their families or sent to labor camps where they are gassed or worked to death. I read about the holocaust in high school, I guess you can say Yami Malik's having one now. I can't stand it, doing nothing. Planning is still underway with the rebellion.
I know you probably don't believe me that Yami no Malik won. Everyone thought Yami no Yuugi would prevail, he always does. he did against Pegasus. But sometimes, your luck runs out. I suppose Yami no Yuugi's luck ran out now. He was a strong spirit, protecting the innocent, saving the world. But Yami no Malik's only enemy is gone, and now the world is his. I'm turning 18 this year. It's been two years since Battle City ended. Yuugi would have been 17 this year. I keep pictures of him, but I wish that I didn't have to see them. They torment me everyday, but my parents won't let me take them down. The death toll in Domino is growing each day...... this is today's death list, only 15 killed.....

It just kept going. I never wanted my friends to die. I feel sad for Shizuka, her brother is dead. Of course, Yami no Malik hated him for standing Ra during their duel and almost beating him. After Battle City, Yuugi and Yami weren't sent to the shadows, Yami no Malik tortured them so many times you thought they'd have gone insane. then hanged Yuugi. Yami no Yuugi lasted longer then Yuugi, but he was killed, yes, he was killed by shadow powers. Yami no Malik is a bastard. I don't say that about people often, but it's true. My parents have gone today and haven't been back for hours. I know their dead. Malik's going to try and kill me now. He likes to kill a whole family.
I visited the last of my friends, Ryou Bakura, who's in pain from Yami no Bakura, who was sent to the shadows. I think of a song when I'm in pain.....
Ryou is unstable now. We all are. We're on edge, Yami no Malik's on a killing spree today. You would have to see it.... he's also killed Malik Ishtar, his lighter half. Isis and Rishid are also dead. Everyone who had been in the Finals, Mai, Yuugi, Jonouchi, Kaiba, Isis, Rishid, Malik, and Ryou are dead except Ryou and Seto. People are dying by the thousands each day. Do you know how scared people are? They can't go anywhere without a spasm of fear. Malik makes sure of that. I'm scared for my lie and anyone else's. people who aren't being killed are being sent to the shadow realm. Their minds are. like Mai. Mai died after Yami no Yuugi lost. I walk on the street and see a bomb.... I jump out of the way.... but Yami no Malik's won. Darkness surrounds my eyes..... I'm slowly going to see my friends who have died in this hell that used to be my home.
I faintly see Kaiba and Mokuba running toward me. "ANZU!!!" Mokuba yells. I give him a faint smile. "I'm hit, you guys," I said softly. "You're not going to leave, Mazaki.... you can't!" Kaiba yelled. "Sorry.... Seto...." I whispered. My body feels cold, my fingertips feel icy. I know my body has stopped, my heart is slowing. "Let me go," I whispered faintly. Mokuba's eyes are filled with tears. I open my mouth to speak, but my heart has stopped, my breath stopping. The world is covered in blackness.
