Part 5: Bakura's dream

Bakura was worried about Ryou. She hadn't slept well the night before. She had a nightmare and when Bakura asked her about it she said it was nothing. Ryou was in the kitchen making something to eat. Bakura stood in the doorway and watched her. She grabbed a cup from the cabinet it slipped out of her hand. She jumped back as it shattered on the floor. Her foot landed on a peace of glass and it dug into her foot. Bakura ran over to her.

"You ok?" He asked helping her over to a chair so he could take the shard out of her foot.

"I'm fine." She said although she didn't sound fine. She sounded on the verge of tears. Bakura took the shard out of her foot and cleaned off the blood with a towel.

"Ryou what's bothering you? Is it the dream you had last night?" He asked standing up and looking down at her. Ryou just broke down crying. Bakura pulled her into a hug.

"Shh. it's alright." After a few minuets her crying was down to a few sniffles. "You wanna talk about it?" He asked as she pulled back and whipped away the few tears that still remained. She just nodded, and took a deep breath. "Well it started with me looking in a mirror. I was a boy again. Then when I looked around all I could see was black." She explained the whole dream to him. Bakura frowned.

"No wonder you were shaken up." He said. "So you really think it was that girl who did this to you?" Ryou nodded.

"She also said for me not to leave your side whale I was like this." Bakura smiled.

"Well I don't plan to leave you alone for a second so she doesn't have to worry about that." Ryou smiled at him. Just then the phone rang and Ryou jumped in her seat a little. Standing up Bakura walked over and answered the phone.

"What?" He growled. He never liked the phone ever since he had fallen asleep on the couch and the phone had rung surprising him and making him fall of the couch onto the floor. He called it a stupid modern day noisemaker.

"Well hello to you to." It was Malik.

Bakura sighed. "What the hell do you want?"

"Just wanted to know how Ryou was doing. Is he. er I mean she there?"

"Of course he's here!" Bakura handed Ryou the phone.

"Its Malik." He said and walked into the other room.

"Hello?" Ryou said.

"Hey just calling to see how you are."

"I'm fine. why wouldn't I be?"

"Well I saw you go into the doctors yesterday."

"Oh that...well."

"Well what? Is ever thing alright?"

"Oh every thing is better then alright. I just found out I was pregnant."

"WHAT!!!"

Ryou held the phone away from her ear. "You heard me." She said when Malik was done yelling into the other end.

"Does any one elts know?"

"No not yet."

"Well congratulations and I'm calling every one to tell them." Before Ryou could protest Malik hung up. Ryou hung up the phone and went into the living room with Bakura. But before he did he unhooked the phone. He knew Malik would call and tell every one and they would all call to find out if it was true. When Ryou walked into the living room he saw Bakura had fallen asleep on the couch. 'He must have stayed up last night after I went back to sleep.' Ryou thought. She smiled at him and then remembered the mess of glass in the kitchen and went to clean it up.

~Dream~

Every ware you looked it was nothing but black. Bakura turned around when he thought he heard something. But a gain all he saw was black.

Then he saw a small light, it looked really far away but Bakura started toward it. It didn't take as long as he thought it would to reach it. It was a door way and the next room was extremely bright. He walked in and found him self in a seminary. This reminded him of the dream that Ryou had told him about. Only he was the only one there. He started walking thru it not knowing ware he was going.

He hard a small giggle and turned and there sitting in the tree was a woman dressed in all black. She had red hair and blue eyes like Ryou had told him. "Who are you?" He glared at her.

She smiled. "You may call me Shigatsu?" She jumped down from the tree, it didn't seem like she was falling to fast it almost seemed like she floated down landing on one toe easily. "And you are Bakura, yami to Ryou." She smiled at Bakura narrowed his eyes at her. "And how do you know who I am? And what I am?"

"I have done my research you might say. But enough small talk. I came here to worn you."

"Of what?"

"When Ryou is 4 and a half months along something is going to happen."

"What? What will happen?"

"I don't know that. but I can tell you it will be bad. He might even die."

"How do you know this?"

"I am sorry I can't tell you that. I just came to worn you of this. I would have told Ryou but I didn't want to scar him. He might not show it now but this pregnancy has him frightened to death."

"Aren't you the one who did this to him?"

"Yes I am. call it a gift to him, and you."

"Why? Why would to give us a chance for a family?"

"Cues you never had a real family of your own when you were young. And night did Ryou. Sure his father is still alive, but it is easier to count the times he has been there for Ryou then it is to count the times he hasn't. He doesn't mean it but it's the way he is. You will never know how happy Ryou was when you finally told him you were in love with him." She smiled. Bakura was still glaring at her not knowing if he should trust her or not.

"Well that enough remaining. Just watch out for him and keep and extra eye on him when he reaches 4 and half months. And do not let him out of your site. I will watch him as much as I can." With that she jumped back up into the tree and vanished.

~End Dream~

Bakura shot up on the couch. He looked over as he saw Ryou come in to the living room with her food, and sighed. "You ok Bakura?" She asked sitting next to him.

"Ya." He sighed. "I met that girl you told me about."

"What did she say to you?"

"Just to watch over you." Bakura decided to leave out the part about something happening in 4 and half months.
