Part 2

After the incident in the deserted classroom, weeks passed with Jou avoiding Kaiba. It was rather hard when half his classes were with the CEO. Jou made sure he was never ten feet within his distance.

His friends were beginning to get suspicious. Yugi noticed he hadn't argued with Kaiba in weeks, Triston noticed that when he ridiculed the CEO, Joey didn't chip in, and Ryou noticed he spaced out more often than usual.

The CEO was no better. It was obvious something was bothering him. He left school more frequently. He didn't waste time degrading Jou. And the biggest clue that something was wrong was that he quit challenging Yugi to duels.

Everyone suspected something must have happened to Mokuba. Yugi crossed that thought out when Mokuba joined their group for a trip to the arcade. His suspicions went back to what his first thought was. Something happened between Kaiba and Jou. He was going to figure out what.

Every since that day he couldn't get the damn inu out of his head. So many sleepless nights an exotic dreams plagued his thoughts. He spent more time locked up in his home office, separating himself form the rest of the world. But he wasn't being fair. Just because he was suffering didn't mean he had to make Mokuba suffer. He knew he was worrying his brother.

He just couldn't face Mokuba. His emotions were out of control and he didn't want to take them out on someone who had nothing to do with them. The mutt was an entirely different situation. The only way Kaiba was going to straighten things out was to go to the source. No matter how he had to do it he was going to make the inu listen and explain what exactly happened between them.
