Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ You Thought you were Free ❯ Bakura Returns ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Author's Note: This is kind of a violent fanfiction, with mentions of rape, beatings and other such things. I'm just warning you so you all don't flame me for it later. Please, don't read if you have… well… a strange notion that Bakura is a sweety.

For clarity sake, I am explaining this now:
Yami No Yuugi = Yami
Yami no Bakura= Bakura
Yami no Malik= Malik

And the Hikari's will all be called by their first names Yuugi, Ryou and Marik

On with the story…

Ryou sighed, he was happy, more then happy to get out. It wasn't exactly the way he wanted it to end with Bakura, but he knew in his heart that in some ways, it was the only way for it to end.
He had known Bakura less then a year and in their first meeting had become infatuated with him, the cool attitude, and the things he liked. How much he seemed to trust Ryou with every little bit of him.
Soon, Ryou's little infatuation became love, and he felt himself falling more and more for the boy. He simply couldn't help it, he was everything Ryou wasn't, strong, brave handsome. He even had someone drooling all over him, and people who loved him more then life itself in other parts of Japan.
Bakura was originally from Kyoto, and he had a best friend there named Malik. Bakura had confided in Ryou the crush he had on Malik and that he hoped Malik would feel the same way, but Malik hadn't decided yet. He was waiting for Malik to make up his mind. All Bakura seemed to talk about was how much he hated Domino City and everyone there, how much he wished he was back with Malik in Kyoto. How badly he hated being here and if it weren't for Malik he would have killed himself by now.
All this was fine and dandy by Ryou, who had become what one, might call… Bakura's little bitch. Everywhere Bakura went, you knew Ryou would be there as well. Even Bakura's bad attitude and hatred of everything began to rub off on poor innocent Ryou, who didn't even realize the changes were taking place.
Then, Bakura went back to Kyoto for the summer, the entire summer. That's when things started to get worse.
Bakura somehow had gotten Ryou to confess his feelings for him to him. He at the time just smiled and said how cute it was and how flattered he was, but he wasn't sure how he felt. He would tell Ryou when he got back; so Ryou waited and things seemed to go on as normal, until one night, sometime after Bakura had gotten home.
He instant messaged Ryou telling him what a horrible person he was, how terrible it was that they had kissed before he had left to Kyoto and what a horrible person he was for taking that first kiss away from him.
Ryou cried and was so upset, he had no one to turn to… he had pushed almost everyone else away for Bakura and only Bakura. He finally decided to call his friend Marik, and tell him what had happened and vent a little bit about what had occurred.
Marik had been an excellent listener, and heck, he even ended up calling Bakura and yelling at him for Ryou. Who at the time had no idea.
All was good and well with a few minor fights in between, Ryou figured it was no big deal but had lost his love for Bakura. He and Bakura were still friends and were still almost inseparable, but Ryou opened himself up to other relationships, friends and ideas. And when he got upset, he still vented to Marik, who seemed to be with him until the end.
Until one night, when Marik and Bakura had a little sleepover. Marik betrayed Bakura and told him everything Ryou had said when he was upset. Bakura then turned that into rumors that Ryou had spread around Domino High School and they called and left a very, very nasty message on Ryou's cell phone.
All of this after the night that Ryou had talked to Yuugi, who had told him flat out what an idiot he was being and Yami had agreed. Yuugi was the one who impacted Ryou the most, knowing that he wasn't rude unless he had to be and this was one of those times.
Worse came to worse at school for Ryou who had learned to deal with the scorn and hateful looks Bakura now shot him in the hall ways. Yami was getting almost as frustrated with the entire thing as Ryou was.
“All he ever fucking talks about is how terrible you are, and how you won't leave him alone, I mea honestly, if you are ruining his life so much then why the hell can't he just leave you alone?” Yami finally burst out one day a week after the whole incident had occurred.
“I don't know, I'm so sorry, both of you,” He said turning to face Yuugi, “I never meant to get the two of you involved in this whole thing.”
Yuugi just shrugged and gave Ryou a hug. “Don't worry, I never liked him anyways, he is just a crappy person, I like you better without him.”
Ryou blushed and looked at Yami quickly, who smiled at him. Ever since that night he had been so straightforward with him, Ryou had started to like Yuugi. They had even kissed… and well…
“I know Yug, thank you, I don't know what I would have done without the two of you last week… especially you Yuugi.” He said and blushed when Yuugi smiled and kissed him softly on the cheek.
“I love you too, Ryou.” Yuugi said kissing him on the cheek again, and Ryou blushed ever more crimson.
“Then… you…and… I…” Ryou stuttered, realizing what he meant.
“Yes, we are, you think the kiss last week was nothing? I meant it, and I hope you would know that.” Yuugi said giggling and rolling his eyes at the gawking Ryou and the laughing Yami.
“Yami, shut up, you don't have anyone, but we all know you like Seto.” Yuugi said turning an accusing finger on Yami who shut up almost immediately.
“Yes, but Seto has Jou, and that is something I have learned to cope with, plus the two of you need each other.” Yami said flatly looking over at Seto and Jou sitting in a corner.
Ryou giggled and scooted closer to Yuugi, who held open his arm so Ryou could snuggle up against him.
“You guys, what am I going to do? My Dad is going to Tokyo next weekend and I have to go unless I can find someone to stay with me or some place for me to stay! I can't go on the trip cause I have a tournament this weekend, I was supposed to stay with Bakura, but that obviously isn't happening.” Ryou let out a sigh and snuggled against Yuugi, breathing in his new boyfriends soft musky sent.
“You can come stay with me,” Yami said, looking at Ryou who shook his head.
“Nope, I can't remember what happened last time? You and I snuck out to go to Yuugi's and we almost got arrested, then we got into a bar fight without even being near a bar.” Ryou said as Yuugi giggled, “My Dad doesn't want me anywhere near your house.”
“Well, can't you stay with Yuugi?” Yami asked also chuckling at the thought of little Ryou attempting to throw a punch at some big drunk guy.
“Nope, I'm staying with you remember? Grandpa is going out of town this weekend and I'm in the tournament too, so I was staying with you.” Yuugi said.
“Awwww, that means I have to go and miss the tournament, if I miss it I won't be able to qualify for Battle City.” Ryou said, sighing and rolling his eyes. “I guess I have to tell Dad I'm just SOL on not going and that I have to go.” Ryou stood up, brushing the grass off, he leaned over and gave Yuugi a quick kiss before wishing them both a good evening and rushing home.
~*~*~*~*Home~*~*~*~*~
“Dad, I'm home!” Ryou called out before pulling off his shoes and rushing into the kitchen for dinner.
He froze dead in his tracks.
“Oh… hello, Bakura… what an… unexpected surprise.” Ryou managed to force out politely before looking at his father, who was sitting across the table from him.
“Hey, Ryou, I'm so glad we got things worked out so I can still stay here this weekend! I mean, it's going to be so much fun!” Bakura said in false enthusiasm that only Ryou seemed to pick up on.
“Umm… yeah me too?” Ryou managed before glancing at his father, who looked completely transfixed and believing the both of their tones to be true.
“Well, I see you two will be getting along fine, so I'll be off then.” Ryou's father said giving Ryou a quick hug before exiting, Ryou followed after him quickly. “Dad, I thought you weren't leaving until tomorrow?” Ryou asked, nervous to be left alone.
“I wasn't supposed to, but since the two of you made up, I told the society I could be there a day early.” Ryou's dad said, giving Ryou another hug. “Don't worry, you'll have a great weekend! Bakura seems so excited the two of you are friends again that I wouldn't worry about anything.” With that, Ryou's dad was gone.
Ryou gulped and turned around, seeing a smiling Bakura standing in his living room.
“So, I already ordered us some Pizza, and I rented a couple of our favorite movies. Look, I know we both screwed up before and we both said things we didn't mean, so lets just forget about it, and be friends again, okay?” Bakura said, he face and tone seemed genuine and he seemed to truly want to forgive and forget.
“Alright,” Ryou said after only a moment's hesitation. It seemed as though everything was going right that day, he and Yuugi were together, Bakura wasn't going to glare at him or pit anyone against him anymore.
They actually had a nice night together and Bakura ended up falling asleep next to Ryou on Ryou's bed. They were both seemingly happy, their grudge and fight seemingly forgotten.
When Ryou woke up the next morning to see Bakura next to him, he couldn't help but think, “Oh boy… what the heck?” Then he remembered the night before and smiled softly. It was back like normal.
Bakura's eyes fluttered open a moment later and Ryou sighed softly when he felt Bakura's hand touching his face. The he gasped when he felt the hand pull back and slap him. Hard.
“Glad you had fun last night, brat. Now, get up and make me breakfast.” Bakura spat, staring at the shivering Ryou.
Ryou blinked and looked at him, before crying out when he felt a hand plunge into his stomach.
“I said make me breakfast, and if it isn't done in 15 minutes, you'll get beaten 10 times worse.” Bakura smirked and Ryou could see the hint of hate in his eyes.
Ryou stood up quickly after being kicked out of the bed, literally kicked. He walked down to the kitchen, pulling out the eggs, milk, waffles and orange juice from the fridge.
Ryou sobbed quietly while cooking Bakura's breakfast, not sure if he wanted (or was allowed) any for himself. Also wondering since when had Bakura started eating breakfast. He fought down the tears when he heard Bakura walk into the kitchen.
He wasn't crying in front of Bakura again, not like he had before. He had promised himself that after the “breakup.” He felt Bakura breathing down his neck, and he shivered unknowingly, unfortunately, Bakura noticed.
“So, are you afraid of me little one? You little worthless thing?” Bakura asked, leaning to close for Ryou's comfort.
Ryou shook his head, and then quickly regretted it.
Bakura smacked him full force and Ryou flew across the kitchen, hitting a wall and crumpling into a ball. He held back the sobs, but not for long when he felt a sharp pain in his side, then another. Ryou curled best he could, trying to make himself as small of a target as possible. But the kicks just kept on coming and the more he got kicked, the more he sobbed and cried out.
Until finally he heard himself cry, “Stop, Bakura please, stop…” and the blows actually stopped. Ryou looked up, his face streaked with tears and he saw Bakura staring at him, a wicked grin on his face.
“Are you afraid of me now? Are you bitch?” Bakura asked sadistically and Ryou nodded his head slightly.
“Good, so you know your place, now, get up and finish my breakfast. Oh, and clean yourself up, I can't have you going to school looking like that, can I?” Bakura said mockingly, sitting himself at the kitchen table while Ryou finished making breakfast for him.
After the food was done and Bakura had eaten, Ryou cleared the dishes as quickly as possible before rushing upstairs to shower and clean himself up.
For one of the few times in his life, he was actually looking forward to getting to school, not only could he hide from Bakura there, but he could see Yuugi and Yami and tell them what had happened.
Before Ryou had a chance to rush out the door however, Bakura grabbed him by the hair and yanked him back. Ryou looked up into his eyes, his own eyes filling with tears.
“Listen, brat, you tell your little friend Yami or even that pathetic little Yuugi about this, you'll get everything twice as bad and I'll beat up Yuugi too, so you better keep your mouth shut, bitch. You understand me?” Bakura asked and Ryou nodded his head best he could with it being yanked and held.
“Oh, and I would like you to wear this, just to show all the people who really matter who's little slave you are.” Bakura said, latching a tight collar onto Ryou's small, pale neck. Ryou looked down to see It couldn't just be pulled off, you had to have a key to open the little lock that held it in place.
Ryou cried all the way to school, the only thing that kept him going was the prospect of seeing Yuugi and Yami, and knowing that at least at school. He was safe, or so he thought…
