Chapter 6: Disguises and Candy under the Full Moon

Me: Well people, here is my first of a few original chapters. In case you don't know this chapter celebrates the famous holiday of Arbor Day! Heh, heh got you going there didn't I? Actually this chapter celebrates Halloween. You see sadly, last year was the last time I went trick or treating. So this year I'm stuck at my grandmother's house giving candy to kids. But I still enjoyed this holiday… right after I got over my fear of the decorations. Also I know Halloween is not for 2 months but I want to get this in before I get into Duelist Kingdom or Death-T.

"Okay everyone as you know, Halloween is coming in a few weeks. Any ideas on costumes? And by the way I want them to be group costumes."

Yuki sat on the couch in her living room as her friends, Joey, Tristan, and Miho thought of the costumes to wear. That until Joey snapped his fingers indicating he thought of something.

"I know! How about we dress up as 2 characters from Final Fantasy 7 and 2 characters from Final Fantasy 8!"

"Great idea! I love the Final Fantasy games!" shouted Yuki

"I have to admit, those games had really great stories." Said Miho

"That has to be the best idea you ever thought of in the entire time that I've known you." Said Tristan

In that instant Joey pounced and tried to beat the crap of Tristan.

"Boys calm down. You can fight when it's time to trade candy." Said Miho

Yuki went into the kitchen she then twisted four napkins and colored the tips of them with markers. Then she closed her eyes and switched the napkins around and grabbed all four of them and made sure not even she could see the tips.

"Okay everyone here's how we pick costumes. All of us will draw one of these twisted napkins. If the tip is pink then you're Aeris, if the tip is blue then you're Rinoa, if the tip is purple then you're Cloud, and if the tip is black then you're Squall."

In the end things were like this.

Yuki = Aeris

Miho = Rinoa

Joey = Cloud

Tristan = Squall

Of course Joey and Tristan had bit of an argument.

"How come you get to be Cloud!?"

"Because I'm just freaking lucky!"

The girls then had go between the boys.

"What the hell is wrong with you two?" asked Yuki

"It's just the fact that Joey gets to be Cloud. Come on every gamer knows that Cloud is cooler then Squall."

Yuki sighed.

"Tristan, Squall is just as cool as Cloud. Also Miho is going to be Rinoa and in FF8 Rinoa was Squall's lover." Said Yuki while winking.

Tristan instantly cheered up at the mention of being Miho's lover for one night.

For the next few days, Yuki and co have been busy with their costumes.

Soon Halloween came and they were ready. Joey was wearing a purple shirt and purple pants, tin foil shoulder thingys, and a cardboard version of Cloud's, bigger then his body, sword.

Tristan was wearing Squall's outfit with a cardboard gunblade.

Meanwhile the girls were placing the last few finishing touches on their costumes.

Yuki was trying to get her hair to stay in a high braided ponytail.

"I do not get how Aeris was able to do this."

"Here let me help."

As Miho worked with Yuki's hair, Yuki looked at the mirror.

"Yuki what's wrong?"

"I guess I just don't feel right without my puzzle."

"Yeah well Aeris didn't have a puzzle."

Yuki chuckled.

"Yeah I know. I guess I'll just keep my puzzle in my pillowcase."

Yuki got out two pillowcases and placed her puzzle in hers while Miho untied her hair.

A few minutes later the girls finished the finishing touches on their costumes.

"Ready boys?" asked Miho

"Wow Joey, looking good. If your hair was a little spikier and your eyes were blue you'd pass as a real life Cloud." Said Yuki

Joey then he pointed his cardboard sword to the door and in a true Cloud fashion said, "Let's mosey."

Through out the night, "Aeris" and "Rinoa" gained a few wolf whistles. But "Cloud" and "Squall" beat the crap out of those jerks.

"Guys, you don't have to treat us like kids. We're mature enough to slap those guys silly." Said Yuki

"Sorry Yuki. I just can't stand guys like that."

"*Cough* Hypocrite *Cough*" Tristan said

With that Joey conked Tristan on the head with the cardboard sword.

"Look whose talking!"

"Boys will be boys I guess." Said Miho

Just then the girls heard some crying. They looked and saw a little girl dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast crying.

"Hey little girl what's wrong?" asked Yuki

The girl looked up at Yuki and Miho.

"A-a-a m-m-mean ma-ma-man s-s-stole my-my c-candy!"

"Oh what did the guy look like?"

"H-he w-wore a b-black coat thingy and a l-long silver wig."

"Don't worry we'll get your candy back." Said Miho

Yuki and Miho nodded and walked to Joey and Tristan.

"Guys we have a mission!" said Miho

Now was when Tristan and Joey paid attention.

"Wha?" asked Joey

"Some jerk stole a little girl's candy!" shouted Yuki

That got Tristan and Joey's attention.

"We can't let that creep away!" said Joey

Yuki, Joey, Miho, and Tristan searched all over. Along the way they found out this creep was stealing candy from other kids.

"Jerkwad. What kind of human being steals candy from little kids?" asked Yuki

Just then a guy riding a bike hit Yuki on the back of her head with a baseball bat that was painted to look like a sword.

Overcome with the sudden pain, Yuki dropped her pillow case and fell to the ground.

"Yuki!" shouted Joey, Tristan, and Miho

Miho went to check on Yuki while Joey and Tristan faced the creep who hurt Yuki.

"Show yourself!" shouted Joey

The guy got off his bike and faced our heroes.

As it turned out, the guy was dressed as Sephiroth from FF7.

"Well what do we have here? A bunch of wannabes."

But before Joey or Tristan could reply, the guy hit them with his baseball bat.

"Now for you my dear!"

The guy then hit Miho in the stomach and then hit her on the head.

He grabbed all the pillowcases but before he left, he felt something.

"Err this bag is way too heavy."

"Sephiroth" digged into Yuki's bag and pulled out her puzzle.

"I don't want this."

"Sephiroth" dropped the puzzle and it landed on Yuki's body.

"Much better."

When Yuki woke up she saw Joey, Tristan, and Miho unconscious.

"Guys. No. Our Halloween is ruined."

A teardrop landed on the puzzle then it started to glow.

The guy put all the bags under a tree.

"Heh, heh. Who says trick or treating is for kids?"

"Well hun. Since me, my friends, and innocent children of fallen for your trick. I don't think you should get the treats."

"Oh I recognize you. You were that girl who's dressed up as Aeris. Sorry sweetie but I'm not giving up anything to a weakling like you."

"Let's play a game."

Just then two mirrors appeared out Yuki's hands.

"Alright hun here's how we play the game."

Yuki then smashed the two mirrors. One in front of the guy and the other one in front of her.

She then threw a bandanna to the guy and tied another bandanna over her eyes.

"These mirrors reveal our true selves hun. What we have to do is fix the mirrors with the bandannas on. No peeking. First one to assemble the mirror wins. The loser's mirror will piece together again but it will show lies instead of truth."

GAME START

Yuki had bit of a slow start while the guy just watched her. He then looked at the bandanna in his hand.

`She has got to be kidding me. If she's blindfolded how does she know I'm not cheating. Heh, heh sucker. When this game is over girlie, we'll be doing that classic scene.'

The guy put on some gloves then pieced his mirror until it was done.

"Heh, heh. Nice try but I can tell that you cheated."

"What but how!?"

"You shouldn't question me. But soon you'll question your sanity."

"Penalty game! Mirrors of Lies and False Faces!"

In the guy's eyes, thousands of mirrors surrounded him. Each mirror showed a different version of him. One mirror showed him as Sephiroth, another one showed him as a frog, another mirror showed him as a misshapen tree.

"W-w-what the hell am I!?!"

Yuki smiled and took all the bandy bags.

"Trick or Treat. Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat. If you don't. I don't care. I'll just send your sanity to the air."

A few minutes later, Yuki returned with all the stolen candy bags. Joey, Tristan, and Miho woke up and were happy to see that Yuki was okay. Also the children were very happy and considered Yuki a heroine.

"Thank you Ms. Lady!"

"Thank you forever and ever!"

Yuki smiled at the children's faces and walked back to her friends.

"Well guys we have 2 hours before midnight and we've still got uptown to hit." Said Yuki

"Let's get back to the important stuff!" said Tristan

"Yeah let's go!" shouted Miho

"Let's mosey!" said Joey

Just then all four of them shouted the Final Fantasy victory music.

"Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da!"

Me: Phew finally got it done. Now I should tell you, the "fix the broken mirror" thing that was a shadow game from the first version of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime. However the penalty game was my creation. So no stealing! Also I got to see the Yu-Gi-Oh movie! The promo card I got was Watapon and he is the cutest damn thing ever!

Pop Culture References

Final Fantasy 7 and 8- I have recently taken an interest with the Final Fantasy series. I am praying that I get a PS2 for my birthday so I can play old PS1 games including FF7, 8, and 9.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast- Ah the Disney movie, how can you not have a childhood without a Disney movie? Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite and Belle was always my favorite Princess.

That classic scene- Final Fantasy 7 fanatics you know what the guy meant.

Final Fantasy Victory Music- That music is sacred! Everyone knows that music!
