Summary: After battlecity Yugi starts drifting away from his friends, then a school talent contest is announced and his parents show up. What's going on with Yugi and how will he react to his parents.

Chapter 1

Yugi stared as his Yami laughed with his friends, he had noticed that Yami seemed to relate better to them than he did. Yugi was just about to go upstairs and do his homework, when Joey came up behind him and picked him up, " Hey Yug, where are you going?" Yugi struggled to get out of Joeys grip, but failed miserably, so he settled for pouting. "I was going to finish my homework, Joey cos it has to be in for tomorrow." Tristan and Joey, panicked and yelled, "Aaaah, Why didn't you tell us, Yug, we're going to be in so much trouble." Tea (A/N: Annoying brunette who, doesn't seem to realise everyone hates her.) and Yami just smirked at the two boys, Whilst Yugi sweatdropped and sighed, "See you later guys, I'm going to do my homework, then go to bed. Bye" The gang said bye, then went back to talking with Yami.

Once he was in his room Yugi sighed and got his bed clothes out of his closet. As soon as he was dressed, he started work on his homework, but he only got half done, because he fell asleep. 15 minutes later Yami came in and smiled slightly at Yugi's sleeping form. He picked up his light and tucked him into bed careful not to wake him, then he got changed himself and slipped into the bed above his hikari. {A/N: Grandpa got them a bunk bed, when he met Yami.} As he lay awake in his bed Yami wondered, why Yugi had left his friends so early. He had also noticed that Yugi had somewhat withdrawn from his friends company, since the end of battlycity, 3 days before. Yami pondered what may have caused his light to do such things as he drifted off in a dreamless sleep. Meanwhile in the bed below, Yugi tossed and turned in his sleep dreaming off his past.

"You worthless piece of trash!"

"I don't know why we didn't give you up for adoption, you're a disgrace this family."

A small child of the age of 5 was sat huddled in a corner hugging himself, to try and protect himself form his parents harsh words. The little boy whimpered as a whip suddenly slapped at his wrist, pulling it away from his small form. The Man smirked as he heard that sound form his sun and laughed harshly, before punching the little boy in the face….

Yugi shot up in bed panting loudly, desperately trying to get air into his lungs. Yugi looked around his room and sighed.
