Yugi's turn

Part 1: The shadow realm

Yugi sighed as he hung up the phone. Malik had jut called with the news about Marik and the triplets. Yugi had told Yami that he didn't care about not being able to have children with him. But that was starting to change. He didn't want to feel like this, he loved Yami. But he watched while Ryou had the twins, and now Marik had the triplets. He was feeling a little left out you could say.

Yugi remembered hearing that a girl named Shigatsu did all this for them. He wondered if she would come back and do this to him. Sure he was a little scared, but that was beside the point.

Sighing again he walked into the living room where Yami was fast asleep on the couch. Yami had been watching TV while Yugi finished his homework. Collage was a lot harder then high school. (A/N: I forget if I even mentioned if they were still in school. Well Yugi is any way. He's the only one who went to collage.) Yugi kissed Yami's cheek before he turned and went upstairs to take a shower.

Shigatsu watched Yugi from the shadow realm. She felt sorry for him and wanted to help. She stood up and was about to leave when she felt a hand grip her shoulder. She winched and turned to see who it was. Even though she had a pretty good idea who it was.

"Where are you going now?"

"No where that should concern you Nigatsu." Shigatsu snapped jerking her shoulder away. Nigatsu just glared at her before he looked into the sphere that was watching Yugi. There were two more next to that one that were watching Ryou and Malik.

"Why are you watching the hikari's?" Nigatsu asked and turned back to her.

"That is none of you business. Now if you would excuse me, I have to take care of something." With that she walked away. Nigatsu glared after her, then at the three sphere's. His eyes widened a bit when he saw Ryou and Malik playing with their kids.

"What did she do?" He wondered out loud.

"Isn't it obvious? She made their wishes come true. And now she is going to do the same with the Pharaohs hikari."

"Why don't you come out of hiding Arata?" Nigatsu asked looking into the shadows. A girl that looked exactly like Shigatsu stepped out.

"I have been watching my sister very closely, as you can tell." She smiled.

"So you know how she did this?" Nigatsu asked stepping closer to her.

"I do. And I don't plan to let her succeed this time. Care to help me? Or are you still scared?" Arata teased.

"I am not scared of you or any one else for that matter." He glared at her.

"Good, now this is what I shall have you do."

Yugi stepped out of the shower and got his nightshirt on. He was still feeling a little depressed, but he knew he would get over it. He was just about to climb into bed when someone tapped his shoulder. He yelped and turned around to see who was there. Nigatsu smiled lightly at Yugi's reaction.

"W-who are you, and how did you get in here?" Yugi asked taking a couple steps back.

"You don't need to worry, I am here to help you. Shigatsu sent me here to give you your wish." Nigatsu smiled as he watched Yugi relax a bit at Shiatsu's name.

"Are you still afraid of me?" Nigatsu asked when Yugi didn't make any move. Yugi shook his head. Nigatsu stepped up to Yugi and bent down so they were at eye level.

"Shigatsu told me that you wished to be able to have children as well?" Yugi nodded.

"Yes sir…but why isn't she here? Why did she send you?"

"First, you don't have to call me sir, my name is Nigatsu. And second…well you see little Yugi, the few of us that are still alive in the shadow realm are not supposed to interfere with mortals lives. Shigatsu has broke a very important rule, so she has to stay in the shadow realm for a while." Yugi's eyes went wide. This man, as well as Shigatsu were from the shadow realm!

Yugi took a step back, every time he and his friends had to deal with the shadow ream something bad always happened.

"Don't worry little Yugi. I am not here to hurt you, I am here to help you." Nigatsu held up his hand and it started glowing. Yugi gasped and fell to his knees holding his chest. `What is he doing to me?!' Yugi thought trying to fight it as much as he could.

"Don't fight it little Yugi, if you do it will hurt more." Nigatsu said as his hand started to glow brighter.

Down stairs Yami was just waking up. He looked over into the chair where Yugi had been a couple hours ago. Yami sat up and looked around when he didn't see Yugi there. He stood up and went into the kitchen. He looked at the clock and saw that it was 11PM.

"He must have gone to bed." Yami thought aloud as he headed upstairs to the bedroom. He was about half way up when he heard a blood-chilling scream. Yami's eyes went wide when he recognized it as Yugi.

//Yugi!// He called through the link and verbally. He ran up the steps and into the bedroom. When he got there he saw a man sanding over Yugi just looking down at him and smiling.

"It has been done." Nigatsu said before he disappeared. Yami looked at Yugi who was curled up into a tight ball and shivering. Yami ran over to him and dropped by his hikari's side.

"Yugi…?" There was no answer. //Yugi please talk to me…tell me what happened.//

/Y-Yami…it hurts…./ Yugi said mentally. Yami looked down at the boy in front of him. Yugi whimpered and held himself tighter. He felt as if he were going to fall apart if he didn't.

//Yugi, just play the memory for me so I know what happened.// Yami said. Yugi nodded barley and played the memory for Yami.

"Yugi, stop trying to fight it. Your body is changing, and the more you fight it the more it will hurt." Yami said. Yugi didn't want to listen to him, but did any way. His body was surrounded in a bright glow. Yami shielded his eyes form the light. When he opened them Yugi was still lying there but he had stopped shaking.

"Yugi?" Yami asked softly. Yugi sat up slowly and blinked. Yami stared at him for a few moments not sure what to say.

"W-what?" Yugi asked not liking the intense look Yami was giving him.

"Yugi…you're a…girl…" Yami said softly. Yugi looked down at himself and gasped. Yami was right, he was a she! `Maybe Nigatsu really didn't want to hurt me…' Yugi thought. `But then why didn't he stop when I was in pain?' He wondered. Yugi decided he would think about that latter.

"Yami…" Yugi's voice was shaking and Yami could tell he was scared. He gathered up his little light and sat on the bed with him…er…her. (A/N: Ok it will take a little while for me to get used to Yugi being a girl ^_^.)

"It's alright Yugi. Nothing is going to happen to you." Yami whispered Yugi nodded and closed her eyes falling asleep. Yami sighed and watched his light sleep for a little bit before he closed his eyes falling asleep as well.

Yami woke up in bed alone. He sat up and looked around the room. He didn't see Yugi anywhere, but he heard the shower on. Smiling to himself he got up and headed to the bathroom. Sure enough Yugi was in there taking a shower.

"Morning Yugi." Yami said. Yugi jumped and turned to face Yami. Yami blushed when he saw Yugi's chest. This was defiantly going to take some getting used to.

"H-hi Yami." Yugi said with a small smile. She was also blushing under the gaze Yami was giving her.

"Mind if I join you?" Yami asked. Yugi shook her had slowly and watched as Yami got undressed and stepped into the shower.

After Yugi and Yami where done with their shower, they went down stairs to get some breakfast. Yugi grabbed a bowl of oatmeal and sat down at the table. She was just about to start eating when the phone rang.

"I'll get it." Yugi said grabbing the phone before Yami could.

"Moshi, moshi?" Yugi asked.

"Umm…is Yugi there?" It was Malik.

"This is he…er…or rather she now." Yugi said. She giggled a little when she heard the phone on the other end fall.

"No way! You to! I guess Shigatsu wants all of us to be happy ne?" Malik asked.

"Actually, it wasn't Shigatsu who changed me… it was someone called Nigatsu. But he did say Shigatsu sent him."

"Oh I see. Any way, the resin I called is me and Ryou are going on a picnic this after noon and were wondering if you and Yami would like to come? That way you get to meet the triplets. Or are you and Yami going to be busy all after noon?" Malik asked in a joking voice. Yugi was happy that Malik couldn't see the blush on his cheeks.

"No were not going to be busy. I'd love to come and meet the triplets." Yugi said.

"All right. We'll meet you at the park. Ja ne!" With that he hung up the phone and so didn't Yugi.

"What was that all about.?"

"It was Malik. He wanted to know if we wanted to go on a picnic with him and Ryou, they're bringing the kids with them as well." Yugi said as she sat down again.

"That sounds like fun." Yami smiled.

Ok what did you think of the fist chapter? Please let me know. And sorry this story will not have any lemon. 1 because I don't really like to write it and 2 lemon in a story like this would just ruin it. Well Ja ne!
