Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ YuGiOh goes to Hogwarts! ❯ Harry Potter meets YuGiOh ( Chapter 6 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Harry Potter, Ron Weasly, and Hermione Granger were on their way to buy a couple of new textbooks, when they found their friend, Hagrid, and what seems to be a couple of his weirdly-dressed, crazy hair friends who are on their way to Eeylops Owl Emporium. They haven't seen him in a long time nor have they seen him with a group of people following behind him, so they decided to greet him.
“Hagrid? What are you doing?” Harry asked.
Hagrid turned around and almost dropped some stuff.
“Harry? Ron? Hermione??” Hagrid quickly put the stuff down and ran up to them and gave them a really gigantic hug.
“Oh! It's been a long time!”
“Oi Hagrid! I can't breath!!!” Ron panted.
“Oops! Sorry. Can't help it. I really miss you guys..”
He let go off them and they dusted off some dirt off their clothes.
“Same here,” Hermione said.
“Hey, would you like to introduce your friends to us, Hagrid?”
Hagrid turned around and saw them looking at him with confusion, except for the tall one with a white trench coat, who looked really impatient, and probably pissed.
“Oh! I almost forgot. These are foreign transferred students from Japan.”
“Japan, huh. That's really cool!” Harry said excitedly.
“Where's Japan??” Ron asked.
“What?! You don't know where's Japan? Honestly!” Hermione exclaimed.
“Now now. Come along you three. These students are going to be your classmates. SO be nice.”
Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked up to them and smiled.
“Hello,” said Harry.
“Oh hello there!” said the spikey-haired one.
“Harry, Ron, Hermione, I would like to introduce to you: Yugi Motou (pointing at a small spiky haired kid wearing a blue jacket with a black shirt inside and blue jeans), Joey Wheeler (Tall and blonde wearing a green jacket with a white shirt and jeans), Ryou Bakura (White-haired teenager who's smaller than Joey, yet taller then Yugi, wearing a blue and white striped shirt and blue pants) Marick Ishtar (another blonde wearing a black sleeveless shirt with a purple cape and black pants), and Seto Kaiba (taller than the rest of the gang wearing a white trench coat, black shirt and black pants).”
“It's a pleasure to meet your aquaintance,” Marick said coolly as he took Hermione's hand and kissed it. Hermione began to blush.
“Nice to meet you….” Hermione said nervously.
Joey and Ryou glared nastily at Marick.
“What?”
“Since when did you kiss girl's hand???” Joey asked.
“Huh??”
“You're starting to become like Duke…..” Ryou commented.
“Hey! I thought it's a nice way to greet girls.”
They started to argue about Marick, and Yugi made an anime-sweat drop down his head. He turned to his new friends.
“Er…don't mind them. They're always this crazy…”
“Don't worry about it mate,” Ron said. “We've seen crazy things in Hogwarts.”
“Not this crazy..” Harry thought. Although he kind of wondered how they heck did they get those crazy hairstyles and what kind of necklace is dangling around Yugi's neck. Fascinated, yet puzzled.
“I guess that's the style in Japan..”
“Hey! Are we going to buy an owl or what!” Seto shouted and stomped into the Owl Shop. They just see him for one minute and Harry, Ron, and Hermione already dislike him.
“Is he always that cranky?” Ron asked.
“Yep, unfortunately all the time. But I'm used to it anyways,” Yugi replied.
“Are you all in first years?” Hermione asked, “I mean, you guys look so old to be in first years..”
“Well, this is going to be our first year going to Hogwarts, but we're going there as sixth years,” Yugi answered.
“Hey cool! Same here. Maybe we're going to be classmates together, and you guys can tell me all about Chapin!” Ron exclaimed.
“That's Japan,” Hermione corrected.
“Anyways, we're going to by a couple of owls. Wanna come?” Yugi asked.
“Well, I guess we can buy our textbooks later and help you guys out with picking owls,” Harry suggested.
Ron and Hermione nodded in agreement.
“Yeah! We still have lots of time to buy our books. But that means I have to read them all at 6..”
“Geez Hermione! Would you stop reading books and lighten up a bit. School hasn't started yet ya know!” Ron exclaimed.
“Hermione is a bookworm and the smartest person in the school..” Harry explained to Yugi.
“Oh wow.”
Two hours later, they came out with a family of owls. Yugi have a brown owl he named Jermaine, Joey have a dark grey owl named Obi-Wan Kenobi (“What? I think that name suit him nicely.”) Ryou named his brownish white one Max, Marick named his silver one Crystal, since it's a girl, and because Seto doesn't care about his owl, he named his dark brown owl Alex.
“Typical….” Joey mumbled.
“Alright! Lets all go to the bookstore quick, before it closes,” Hermoine said.
After hours of shopping, they all decided to go to Leaky Cauldron to have a drink of Buttabeer. They sat down and began to talk about Hogwarts, Japan, and Duel Monsters.
“You're a world champion of Duel Monsters?” Harry asked Yugi. He heard about the game from the news at Privet Drive, but doesn't really know what it is. But he's surprised that a champion is going to Hogwarts.
“What's a Duel Monsters?” Ron asked stupidly. Apparently, he and Hagrid are the only one at the table who doesn't know or heard anything about it.
“I heard that Duel Monsters is a card game. I'm still not sure how a card game can be so much fun…..”Hermione said as she rolled her eyes. She's not really into games, especially card games. Her idea of fun is reading her book.
“Duel Monsters is more than just fun Hermione,” said Joey.
“Yeah! It's an ancient game that has been going on for thousands of years…” Marick said.
He then explained that recently a man named Pegasus found a tomb in Egypt and was able to revive the ancient duel by creating cards. Pegasus soon became the most powerful man in his company. With his help and the Kaiba Company (“by the way, Seto here owns the Kaiba Company,” Ryou added) it became the most popular game in Japan and some parts of the world.
“I became successful without his help, you know…” Seto said as he glared at him. He doesn't like sharing credits with someone he despise, especially Pegasus.
((I'm not sure whether that's right or not…but I'll fix this chapter when I get more info about it.))
“Wow….for such non-magic folks, it sounds like this game is really cool!” Ron said excitedly.
“I can't believe that Duel Monsters didn't reach England, yet,” Joey said in disappointment. He was hoping that he could duel a couple of people in Hogwarts. Someone new and challenging. To drown his discontent, he drank the whole pint of Buttabeer.
“Can you guys teach me how to play this game?” Ron asked.
“Sure! Why not!” Yugi exclaimed.
“Same here,” Harry said.
“Hmm….well as long as this doesn't disrupt my studies, I'm in,” Hermione said.
“Cool! The more the merrier,” Joey said.
“When do you want us to teach you guys?” Ryou asked.
“Today please!” Harry and Ron said in unison.
“Wait! What about Ginny and your parents?” Hermione quickly asked Ron as they got up from their table. They just remembered that Ginny and Mr and Mrs Weasly are shopping in Diagon Alley as well. They cannot just leave them and not tell them where they went.
“Oh yeah. We'll have to bring them along then..” Ron said dully.
“In that case, why don't we learn them tomorrow, when we get on the train? Besides, I feel kinda tired and I want to take a nap,” Marick said, as he yawned.
“Yeah, we better do this tomorrow. I really want to read my new textbooks to get a head start…” Hermione said.
“I guess this is good-bye then. If you guys need anything, we'll be at the Lunar's Corner Inn.” Ryou said.
“Well, it's nice of all of you to meet. I better head off again. I'll see you guys again at 12,” Hagrid said to Yugi and his friends.
They said their goodbyes and left the Leaky Cauldron. Harry, Hermione, and Ron are on their way to Ollivander's Wand Shop to meet up with Ron's family. Along the way, they talked about the people they met.
“Those guys are really cool! I really wish I could have Yugi's hairstyle. They're so bloody……. spiky!” Ron exclaimed.
“You better not Ron. It looked too weird to be your style….” Hermione commented.
“Oh come on! I bet they're popular in Chapan,” Ron said excitedly.
“It's Japan, Ron! Geez, are you deaf?!” Hermione snarled.
“Ok ok Japan…”
“Hey! There they are!” Harry exclaimed as he points to a group of redheads in front of the wand shop: Ginny, Fred, George, Mr and Mrs. Weasly.
“It's them! Mom, they're over there!” Ginny yelled happily as she wave at Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Mr. and Mrs. Weasly turned around and saw them coming their way. They waved happily and ran up to them.
“Oh Ron! Harry! Hermione! Where have you been?” Mrs. Weasly asked.
“Hey Mum! You'd never guess who we just bumped into!”
((This chapter sucked, but it will be better when they get to Hogwarts.))
