KALERAGETSUSEI

CHAPTER LXXXIX

DOUBLE VISION

Once Hiei had left Mirai Shuichi to the care of Sire, the fire youki himself went the suite he shared with his own cardinal haired vixen. With the smallest disturbance of air, Hiei appeared in the room where he hid in a shadowed corner and the sight that met his eyes caused his once ice cold heart to break.

Shuichi sat on the king sized bed sandwiched between both Kalissa, his fox mother, and Shiori, his human one. The red haired vixen shuddered as uncontrolled tears streamed down his porcelain smooth face.

“Oh, mom, what am I gonna do without him? How am I gonna raise ten kits on my won?” Shuichi sniffled.

“What non-sense you utter! I’ll be more than happy to help raise them but not as happy as the daddy himself,” Kalissa smiled trying to reassure her son.

“I wish I had your confidence, Momma Lissa. Hey, why don’t you two go get something to eat. You’ve been up here with me for sometime. Momma Shiori, I’m sure the Sheik is beside himself with wonder over your whereabouts,” Kurama sighed.

“What will you do?” Kalissa asked as she and Shiori rose to their feet.

“Nothing stupid, I assure you. I love you both and thanks for being here for me,” Kurama sighed as his mothers moved to leave. Following their departure, Kurama drew his knees up and buried his face in his arms. “Oh, Hi-chan, love, I’m so sorry I didn’t reveal all of my past to you. Please, forgive me and come back. I need you,” Kurama tried to hold back tears that seemed to never end.

At that moment, Hiei silently moved to the bed, levitated so that he landed behind his mate then he took Kurama in his arms and began kissing his temple.

“Baka kitsune. I could no more leave you and those gorgeous kits than cut off my right arm again. Shhh, dry those emerald jewels I love so much,” Hiei whispered.

Inhaling deeply, Kurama caught the scent of spicy pine, the fragrance only his mate possessed. “I must be dreaming,” the fox sighed.

“Open your eyes, princess, it’s your prince,” Hiei’s deep voice spoke.

Slowly opening his green-gold eyes, Kurama found himself staring into a pair of rubies and a sexy smirk. Sitting straight up for a better view, Kurama turned to face the fire prince.

“Kurama, you’re drooling, now hug me so we can get down to business,” the fire lord commanded.

“Oh, Hiei! I-I thought you had left forever, my love, and I’d have to raise the kits on my own. Oh, baby, thanks for coming back,” the fox cried.

“Haku nailed me with his mirrors of ice and gave me a strong talking to. He told me that what was past was passed and that I should look forward to our future together. Then Rejah joined in and told me that I was highly honored and favored among all apparitions to have garnered the attentions of ‘The Great One, Youko Kurama.’ I forgive you, my one, because we are mates,” Hiei began.

“And as your mate, love, I vow from this day forward to share my entire life as Youko with you. I never want to lose you again. You’re my precious one, Hiei, and I chose you out of all the ones I’ve ever been with,” Kurama responded as he raised his right hand to caress Hiei‘s cheek.

“You chose me as Minamino Shuichi, not as Youko Kurama,” Hiei countered.

“Not true, when your aunts came to my camp with their precious bundle, I fell in love with him then and will always love him, even when he threatens to slit my throat. I love you,” Kurama smiled, his green eyes pooling in tears of happiness.

“And I you, fox, now let’s get ourselves together. Sire requests our presence in the Sapphire Conference room for a very important meeting,” Hiei inferred.

Kurama sat up and regarded his mate with wary eyes. “Sire called a meeting? Do you know about what?”

The fire prince hung his head. Of course he knew what the meeting was to be about but he had also given his word not to tell his mate until they were with Vegeta.

“Let’s just meet with Sire. I love you, fox,” Hiei smirked then flew off the bed. “Last one in has to massage the winner for a week!” he laughed then flitted away.

“You little firefly, I’ll get you!” Kurama jumped off the bed and gave chase to his fleet-footed mate.

In another suite, Hiroshi stood behind his own mate lost in thought as his hands automatically braided Etienne’s record long chestnut strands.

“Earth to Hiroshi, where are you, my love? Ever since Sire’s call, you’ve been distant. Was it bad news?” Etienne asked.

Shaking his head as if coming out of a daydream, Hiroshi smirked. “Sorry, my one, but when I was talking with Sire, I could have sworn I saw someone who looked lie Souske and I only older. It’s really freaky, as you’d say,” Hiroshi shuddered.

“Hostile?” Etienne asked.

“I don’t think so. His outfit was not of this era, I’ll tell you. Hey, what if he came from another planet or colony?” Hiroshi put forth.

“Could be, love, don’t forget that since we joined up with Sire, a lot of strange and unusual events have occurred. Who’d have thought we could perform the same reproductive functions as females? But be that as it may, what should I wear? Drag of Flag?” Etienne asked as he got up dress.

“I love you either way but you hang around Geita a lot and have picked up his and Piccageta’s penchant for going dragging nearly everyday you guys wake up. Drag, baby, drag,” Hiroshi smiled as he followed his love to their dressing room.

“What do you suppose Sire wants to meet about, Tri?” Quatre asked as he brushed the lint from Triton’s emerald velour polo shirt.

“Can’t tell, love, but what ever it is, you know it’ll be of greatest importance. Now, let me look at you?” Triton smiled as he pushed his blond haired mate to arm’s length. “If the others saw you know, they’d hurt you,” Triton said jokingly, however, Quatre hung his head as a painful thought crossed his mind. “Babe, what’d I say? Oh, little one, I’m sorry,” the tall ginger haired man drew his smaller partner into a tight embrace.

“I-it’s nothing, my love,” Quatre sighed as he fought against breaking down.

“Tell me, amour.”

“I-it was a long time ago and Sire handled it.”

“Quatre,” Triton was beginning to lose patience with his love.

“I’ll tell but promise me you won’t hurt them or try to kill them!”

“…”

“Remember that dark blue velvet and lace one piece wide-leg outfit I had created? Well, three of the others wanted to wear it at the same time as I did and fought me for it. Heero had to call Sire to come intervene and he all but killed the three of them,” Quatre related then heaved a heavy sigh.

“You wouldn’t happen to be talking about Etienne, Geita and Piccageta, would you? Heero wouldn’t elaborate but he told me some of the details as to why you weren’t home when I returned from that mission on Saturius 3,” Triton said.

Quatre raised his head, his sea-green eyes wide with surprise. “Y-you knew?”

“Not everything but enough. I was miffed at first but seeing how indescribably gorgeous that outfit is, I almost understand. I do sort of wish you went Zero on their asses to teach them a lesson but I’m sure whatever Sire did to them was good enough. Now, let’s get this meeting over with, go see the kids and have dinner,” Triton listed as he took hold of his life partner and left their suite.

Once outside, the pair ran into the other pilots, Shuichi and Hiei. After polite greetings, Triton cast a hard glare at Etienne.

“Whoa, Tri man, what’s with the death glare? Nice suits, by the way,” the chestnut haired male remarked and caused Triton to move protectively in front of Quatre. “Dude, you act as if I’m gonna hurt him or something’!”

“Haven’t you? Over an outfit he had designed to wear especially for my home coming! I thought you were his friend?” Triton spat viscously.

“What…H-How did you find out? Quat, I told you was sorry and asked how I could make it up to you!” Etienne gasped.

“I know you did but it doesn’t excuse the fact that it was three on one! If Hiroshi hadn’t of called Sire…Let’s just say that me on Zero would be like a cake walk compared to Triton’s anger,” Quatre rejoinder.

“I told Triton some of what had happened when he arrive to Gundam House that night and could not find Quatre,” Hiroshi told Etienne.

The violet eyed male swung to his own passion, mouth agape in surprise, eyes wide in shock. “Heero…”

“Hey, let’s cut this out. What’s passed is past. Let’s drop it and go move on. C’mon, Sire’s waiting. Grab on,” Hiei ordered and the others did so.

Half a minute later, the group stood outside the door to the Sapphire Conference room where the met…

“SIRE!” the group gasped as one.

“Boys. I need to prepare you for what you are about to see and who you are about to meet. You know Mirai Trunks is my son from 24 years in a future time where I don’t exist. He had friends back there and they followed him on this venture back to this past,” Vegeta began.

“So, the guy I saw on the vid-screen really was me?” Hiroshi asked in a flat tone.

Five pairs of eyes turned and glared at the emotional rock as if he had just grown three heads when…

“Another one’s come as well, correct, Sire?” Hiei broke the mounting tension.

“Boys, Shuichi, meet your future without me,” and with that Vegeta swung open the door to the conference room, stepped aside to let the boys enter.

“I guess my Mirai self lost contact with Shu-chan after the Makai Tournament in that reality,” Hiei observed.

“Hard to say. When I let him in, he fell into Duo’s arms and wept like a baby saying how he’d never see his best friend ever again and hadn’t for quite sometime it seemed,” Vegeta responded.

“He told me so and told me that the Hiei he knew would barely even acknowledge they were friends. I told him that if I ever met my Mirai self that I’d beat some sense into him,” Hiei smirked at the pair watched the drama unfold.

“So, how much you are us without Sire’s influence? Shuichi’s a basket case, Heero looks as if he could bend steel just by death glaring at it, Wufei has some stick up his ass as always. The only one’s who are the same as they are in this time are Quat and Tro. Don’t worry, an hour with Sire will change all of that,” Etienne sniggered.

“What do you mean by those observations, Maxwell?” Mirai Wufei snarled.

My name is not Maxwell, it’s Yuy as my dad and Hiroshi’s are brothers. Oh, I forgot myself, I look like some dried up hippy who’s lost his best friend. Like I said, don’t let that worry ya. We’ll acquaint you with this era very well,” Etienne tossed his head back in confidence.

“Suddenly, I don’t have much of a desire to change. If it means acting like a fruit cake, I’ll stay as I am,” Heero remarked.

“I do not act like a fruit cake and my relation with Etienne is the best thing to ever happen to me. Come with me, Senior Heero, you’ve got a lot to learn,” Hiroshi glared at his future counter part. “Love, take Mirai Duo shopping and tell him of yourself,” the messy chocolate haired young communications wiz told his mate.

“As you wish, my love, and we might as well introduce them to the family so that neither parents croak from the shock of triplet sons in your case, twin sons in mine,” Etienne suggested.

“Not to mention your twin sister,” Hiro nodded.

“Sister? A twin sister and a family? I’ve always been an orphan as has Heero!” Mirai Duo gasped.

“You…Me…We have a twin brother? How?” Heero asked, hiding his surprise.

“DNA is a wonderful thing plus a few Dragon Ball wishes helped a lot. Come, let’s meet the family. We gotta introduce the kids, anyway, so they won’t get confused,” Etienne smiled as he and Hiro took hold of their future selves to acquaint them to the new reality.

“I suggest the rest of you follow their lead then I’ll introduce them to the entire assemblage at dinner,” Vegeta said and with that the meeting ended with the group moving off to separate devices.
