Several days later, in a typical modern Japanese city…

….one, by name, Yuske Urameshi, age 14, stepped up to his Master Genkai's house in the heart of the woods. The sun shone on his slick black hair as he stode, hands in pockets, in front of the house glaring trough the sunlight at it "::sighs:: I wonder what this ol' hag is gonna have me do today…hn, dare I even think about it. She's probably gonna flip cuz I'm a few minutes late…" His watch read 4:39. " Hm, not my fault those Sakyaki Jr. High guys can't mind their own business. Heh heh heh" He pulled from his pocket a letter that Kurama had given to him only yesterday during lunch:

Urameshi,

It is very VERY important that you read

and UNDERSTAND this letter. It has recently

come to my attention that the Toguro's have a

new little secret that they're trying to hide from us.

I won't say anymore in this letter lest it be intercepted.

Just make sure you SHOW UP tommorow ON TIME.

We'll meet at my house tomorrow at 5:00pm SHARP.

Don't be late, don't make any plans, and

DON'T GET FOLLOWED. We'll have an extra visitor,

so be on your best (best was scratched out) formal behavior.

Yuske scoffed as he re-read the letter. " Who does Genkai think I am? Keiko's little sister? I know how to behave." He smirked and flicked the tip of his nose. " Sorta." Chuckling softly, Yuske proceeded to the house, and entered through the door. To his left settled around a circular table were the other members of the Yu Yu Hakusho: Kazuma Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama. Yuske smiled and waved to them. " Yo, whats up guys?" Kurama smiled back. "Welcome Yuske" Hiei folded his arms over his head and glared at yuske with crimson eyes, and responded with his usual grumpy attitude. "Hn.Your late. As usual."

Before yuske could come up with a retort, a sharp voice creaked like a whip from the opposite corner of the room. "Urameshi!" Yuske jumped as the pale-haired elder woman dressed in her red gi stepped from the shadows with her hands behind her back. She glared at Yuske. " Hiei is right. I specifically told you to BE ON TIME did I not?" Yuske stammered. "yea, but…see, Mom made me…uh, wash the dishes…"He looked at her with a false look of adolescent innocence. Genkai, however held up her hand. " Say no more." Yuske grined. " So you believe me?" Genkai raised a brow. "Of course not. We just need to continue this meeting. Take your seat at the table so our guest can continue." She signaled to another corner of her house where a tall man with long black hair stood against the wall.

Yuske had to practically squint to see him, but thankfully he stepped into the dim sunlight that streamed trough the windows. From what he could see, the man had a long white scar right across his right eye, and a few more on his well-toned arms. The man's

long black hair fell to his lower back, held together by a black and silver band around his head with two silver feathers on it. He had a soft smile on his face, not threatening, not scary, almost…laid-back. When he spoke, his voice was soft, yet deep with a sincerity Yuske had never heard before. "Yuske Urameshi…Yes. I remember you very well. My name is Sess `sth (cess-sith), and I have come a very, VERY long way to see you and your friends."

Sess `sth stepped further into the light so Yuske could clearly see his stature. Indeed, he did look familiar, but Yuske couldn't put his finger on it. Sess `sth was clothed in a dark blue tank top with two think black bands over each shoulder that attached to the scabbard around the waist of his dark blue pants that contained a set of long daggers. On his feet were standard black boots, like those of a mercenary (hint hint on the outfit). "Sess `sth huh? Where do you remember me from exactly…?" He nodded then signaled to a free chair at the table. " Just have a seat and I'll explain everything…."

Yuske took a seat at the table beside Kurama and leaned over to him. " So, who's the guy?" Kurama whispered as Sess `sth softly conversed with Genkai, staring at his long hair and toned form. " His name is Sess `sth Xantam. He's come from a land far from our own. He hasn't told us where exactly, but I'm sure he will later." Kurama's gaze traveled Sess `sth from head to toe, and Hiei had been glaring at Kurama since Yuske sat down, but he had took no notice. Hiei grumped loudly. "Hn." Kurama turned to him. "Whats wrong Hiei?"

Hiei glared at Kurama with his crimson eyes. " Hn." He shifted his gaze from Kurama to Sess `sth and back to Kurama again, who still didn't get the message. Hiei snorted and in a flash, was on the other side of the room in a corner, pouting obviously. Kurama blinku-ed at him, and turned to Yuske. "What do you suppose is the matter with Hiei, Yuske?" Yuske was busy eating a apple from Genkai's new fruit bowl to notice. He had his own ideas to state. "Is `Hn.' The only word in his vocabulary? I mean come on. He acts like a big kid. Right Kurama?" Kurama sighed and returned his gaze to Hiei who was determined to look at the ceiling as if it were interesting.

Moments later, Genkai stepped forward with the muscular Sess s'th and looked at the gathered members of the table. "Where is Hiei? Urameshi, did you scare him off with your atrocious eating habits?" Yuske glared at her,his mouth full of apple. "No! He juff ran offeh shumwhere!" As he spoke, little pieces of apple were sprayed all over Kurama's face and hair. He calmly wiped them away with a napkin, threw it at Yuske. " He's over in that corner. I, like Yuske, have no clue as to why." Genkai spoke without turning around. "Hiei. Return to the table. You must be present for this." Hiei, still being heated with Kurama, growled. "I can hear just fine over here." Genkai shrugged. "Fine." Then without warning she cast a pink bubble around the table and all sound was drowned out.

Hiei could see their lips moving, but could hear nothing. =Fine= He thought to himself0. =Like I care.= But he did care, and moments later he was standing inside the bubble muttering about how he'd kill them all when he had the chance. He stood opposite the bubble to Kurama and made it a point to avoid his gaze. Genkai looked around and smiled. "Now…We can tell you the real reason your all here…

MUWHAHAHAHA! CLIFF-HANGER! WHOOOO!!!!

Kurama: What?! You can't leave it like that! Hiei is pissed at me!

Me:Uhh…

Hiei: Probably because you were staring at the Sess `sth guy like he was a bitch in heat!

Me: :: covers Hiei's mouth:: SHUT UP!

Kurama: ::sniffle:: Its not my fault! MeLiNkO made me do it!!!

Me: :: O_O::

Hiei: <Glares at me>

Me: ::O___O:: Errrr….

Kurama: Ha Ha MeLiNkO! Your gonna get it now!

Hiei: <to Kurama> How do you speak in half caps like that?

Kurama: ::is proud:: Is reel easy! Watch, I'll sHoW yOu.

Me: ::sighs:: See you guys in chapter 3…-_- ::is happy head is still attached::
