Star looked at her clock: almost time! Her guests would be arriving soon, and she had finished getting ready at the perfect time, now she could relax.

She quickly made her way to the balcony to arrange a welcoming banner for all of her guests, her silver gown rustling in the process. She took one last glance in the mirror before she headed to the main hall to begin greeting her guests. Yep, every last strand of her snowy white hair was tucked up into a tight bun, with only a few strands sticking out to frame her face. She smiled at her reflection, and, gathering up her skirts, started down the stairs towards her guests.

"The first guests are arriving, Madame," a servant said, as Star made her way to the door...

"Introducing... Lady Kitgirl, and her date, Lord Hiei." They each bowed respectfully, and headed inside.

"Lady Ayame, and her date, Lord Kurama." Star nodded, and ushered the couple into the room, as the next guest arrived.

"Lady Kim, she is here unaccompanied." Star bowed slightly, and turned to greet another guest.

"Lady Savanna, and her date, Lord Yami." Star liked this girl automatically, and she bowed respectfully to Yami, knowing full well who he was.

"Lady Kristina, unaccompanied." When she looked at Star, her eyes sparkled, 'Ooooh! I love those eyes!' she thought.

"Lady Arianne, and her date, Lord Yusuke." Star could tell that he was a spirit detective, but said nothing.

"Lady Kiki, and her date, Lord Youko Kurama." Star was very happy now, she knew that Youko was a very skilled kitsune, and her gardens needed a green thumb looking over them.

"Lady Chybee, her penguin, Pancakes, and her date, Lord Sesshoumaru." Star was shocked, to say the least. She didn't actually expect Sesshoumaru to show up at her party expecting to move in with her. Even if he did have a new girlfriend, she knew that he could never forget her, and she hoped to help him to love this girl like he had her.

"Lady Envy, unaccompanied." 'Well, I'll just have to invite some of my old guy-friends to live with me so these girls can have boyfriends like everybody else.' Star thought as she shook the girl's hand.

"Lady Melli, and her date, Lord Legolas." 'Oooh, an elf! this should be interesting to say the least!' Star nodded, lost in her own thoughts.

"Lady Firey, unaccompanied." Star was really getting sick of all these 'unaccompanied' girls, and decided to play matchmaker later... but for now, she'd have to live with what she had.

"And, Lord Rage." Star looked over, and was lost in a sea of hazel, as she greeted the last guest. 'Wow, he's perfect!' she thought. Star walked over to a group of women chatting, and asked, "Does anyone know who Rage is?" she pointed at him.

Firey answered, "Yeah, I do. He's a fire god, and a damned powerful one too. Why so interested, Lady Star?"

"Just Star, please. I like to keep everything informal." she turned back to the girls, "He's cute, and he's obviously single, so I thought I'd find out who he is, seeing as every other guy here has a girl permanently attatched to his forearm."

The other girls nodded in agreement. Envy said, "So, Star. How did you end up the ruler of the minor universe? I mean, no woman has ever been in such a high standing before. Are you like related to the ruler of the major universe, or something?"

"Yeah, he's my Dad." Star blushed unintentionally.

"Well, you have the perfect little star arrangement, how about a perfect moon to match?" Kristina asked.

"Wonderful! That would be lovely! Can you do that, Kristina?" Star looked at her quizzically.

Kristina's chest puffed out a bit at the amazement in the princess's tone, but said, "Why, yes. Yes I can. And I will, for you," she called upon her powers, and the room lit up with her energy, then it condensed, into a small sphere, and formed a glowing moon that adorned the stars which already glittered throughout the hall. There was some scattered applause, and Kristina blushed, trying to hide her enthusiasm at being noticed.

"Well, girls," Star whispered, and they all gathered in close, "Do you think that I would be perfect for Rage? or do you think that he's better off single?"
