~~~last time~~~
"That's nice." Sly had drifted off into a daydream, and Maria left him there, since he wasn't trying to leave, she was happy... until...
CRASH!!!
Everyone in the entire hall jumped at the sound of a chandalier crashing to the floor in the dining room.
"SELENA!!!"
~~~now~~~

Every head turned towards Star, who was standing in the middle of the hall, fuming.

"Sister Star!! Sister Star!!" a small girl of about six came running into the hall and clung to Star as soon as she reached her. "Sister Star, Selena done a bad thing... She's practiced her archery inside of the house again!!"

"Okay, Venus, I'll handle it." Star hugged her little sister, and turned towards the dining hall. "Selena. Get in here. NOW." Star stood up, and waited for her neice to make her entrance, but she never came in. "If you hide from me, your punishment will only be more severe." Star stated in an icy tone.

A young girl, older than Venus yet younger than Star, stepped out from the shadows of a corridor that had previously gone unnoticed. "Yes, Dear Aunt?" the girl said, her voice shaking slightly.

"You know that the dojo on the outer edge of your wing is the only place where you are allowed to practice your archery." Star towered over the accused adolescent.

"Yes, I do." she hung her head slightly.

"Then, may I ask, what was that crash that I heard just now?"

"That would be the dining hall chandelier smashing to bits on the table," she winced slightly, waiting for her aunt's anger to bubble over the top.

"Oh, well, I've been meaning to replace that one. You have merely saved me the trouble of taking it down." She sighed, "But don't even think that I'll let you get away that easily... where is your bow." The girl pulled a golden bow off of her back. "Give it to me." She handed Star the bow. "Now, go to your chambers. And tell a servant on your way there, to clean up your mess."

The girl nodded, and slowly turned toward the hallway that she had previously arrived from.

"Selena?" She turned around. "Would you like to practice your archery with me later?"

"Yeah!! That would be great!!" she smiled broadly, and turned back around, heading to her chambers, while bouncing slightly.

"Wow," Rage had been watching from a distance, "you really handled that well... How do you do it?"

Star blushed, and bent down to pick up her sister, who immediately hugged her.

"Sister, why are all these people here?" Venus tilted her head to one side, giving her a look of pure curiosity.

Star smiled, "They are here so they can live with us. You remember what Father told you, don't you?"

Venus nodded her head.

"Where's my Baby?"

"Isn't she with you?" Star looked around by her feet. "Baby Girl! Here, kitty!" Immediately a small fire cat came bounding into the hall, the bell around her neck jingling in the process. She skidded to a stop at Star's feet, uttering a small mew.

"Baby!" Venus cried, spreading her arms wide as the cat leapt into the waiting girl's embrace. "Where have you been? I thought I'd lost you!" she squeezed the cat, while stroking her, and chattering away.

"Would you like to make the announcement, Venus?" Star asked her younger sibling. She nodded her small head vigorously.

"What would you like me to say?"

"Tell everyone..." Star whispered in the girl's ear, "Okay?"

"Okay, I will." She cleared her throat, "Attention everyone!! I have an announcement!" she smiled at the amount of attention she'd drawn, and continued, "Although we would love to have everyone here stay with us," she looked around at all of the faces, and wondered herself which would be chosen to stay, "we currently only have room for nineteen extra tennants."

The look on many faces was of curiosity or confusion. Star continued, "There would have been room for twenty, but I have to have a place to stay too!" she smiled, "I will not, however, have the honor of choosing who stays, and who must leave." (AN: that'll be me!! if you hate me when I'm done, I apologize in advance for those of you who will not get to see your characters in the rest of the fic. My little brain can't handle that many people!! *goes and hides under bed* *yelling from under bed* Don't hate me!! I love all of you!! please forgive me if your character doesen't make it!! *sniffles* I can't write that much, people will get confused!! like me! that isn't a nice thing to do to these wonderful readers that I have gained!!)

"Alright!! Let's just enjoy the rest of our evening, shall we?" Star called to her guests.

There were a few mumbled comments, and Star felt guilty, she didn't expect so many people to show up! She sent Venus off to bed, and turned around to continue dancing.

~~~~~With Kristina~~~~~
"Shadow," Kristina questioned, "could we go get something to drink? I'm parched."
"Sure," Shadow offered his arm, and lead Kristina over to the bar. "What would you like?"
"Hmmm.... a fuzzy navel."
"And, I'll have a twenty ounce draft of Bud Light."
"Coming right up." the bartender turned around to make their drinks, while the pair watched the dancers twirl around the floor.
"How romantic is this setting?" Kristina sighed.
"Yeah. The moon is really cool, it makes the room glow with an earthreal light." Shadow commented.
"Thanks." Kristina blushed, "I made that. I control moons."
"One of the most romantic powers ever, don't you think?" Shadow said, "You could create the perfect setting for a date, a wedding, or a honeymoon."
"Here're your drinks."
They accepted the drinks. Kristina sipped hers slowly, while Shadow watched out of a window.
"Kristina!" Firey called from across the room. "Hey! Come here! I need to ask you something!"
"Is it okay with you if I go over there alone? Since there are only women over there." She asked Shadow.
He simply nodded.
"Thanks!" She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before hurrying over to the waiting girls.
"Awwww!! How sweet!" she arrived to them 'ooh'ing and 'ahh'ing over her quick goodbye to Shadow.
Kristina blushed crimson. "Would you guys cut it out? Jeeze, you'd think none of you had boyfriends."
They giggled more at her comment.
"So," Kim rubbed her hands together, "Does he like you as much as you obviously like him?"
At this Kristina turned scarlet. She now matched her dress. The other girls giggled more.
"Would you knock it off?" she was beginning to turn back to her normal milky complexion. "I don't know how much he likes me.... I haven't asked him yet."
"Well, ask him!" they chorused, and pushed her back towards the bar.
"Hey," Shadow said.
"Hey to you too, Mister Talkative," Kristina elbowed him lightly.
"What did I do?" he asked.
"Nothing!" she assured him, "You didn't do anything!"
"Uh-huh." he said, a little uneasily, as they headed out onto the dance floor.
~~~~~With Bril~~~~~

Bril looked around anxiously, as he searched for a date.

"Who should I choose?" he muttered to himself, scanning the crowd again. His searches ended in vain. "Gaaaah! How can I do this?"

"Excuse me."

Bril practically jumped out of his skin, at a voice behind him. He slowly turned around, and was faced with a beautiful girl, who, he thought, must be looking for her boyfriend.

"Are you Bril?" she blinked at him.

"Y-yes. Wh-who are you?" he stammered.

"Ash." She smiled happily, "Would you like to dance with me?"

"Of course!" he smiled brightly, and offered her his arm to lead her onto the dance floor.

He twirled her around with lightning speed, and she kept up with him, spinning around him with just as much speed and a little bit more agility. He caught her as she whipped by him, and spun with her. They were catching their breath just as the song ended. She had a smug look on her face, seeing how she'd worn the wind elemental out, and she'd barely broken a sweat!

Bril, noticing Ash's smug look at his shortness of breath, quickly recovered, and pulled her out for round two.

~~~~~With Star~~~~~
Star sighed, as she sat down for what felt like the first time in ages.
"Star!!" a pair of female voices called out.
"Artemis!! Athena!!" Star jumped up, and embraced her older sisters. "What are you guys doing here?"
"We came by to see how our favorite little sisters were doing." Artemis said.
"You know that we'd never pass up the opportunity to come to one of your parties, right sis?" Athena winked.
"Well," Star said, "you'll have to leave soon, because the choosing of the tennants will be announced shortly." They gave her confused looks. "I'm, how you say, 'recruiting' some celestial roommates." She smiled, "Because it was getting pretty boring here with just Venus and Selena," the trio visibly shuddered at the mention of their brother's daughter, "with no one here worth talking to or hanging out with."
Her sisters nodded, both understanding how Selena could ruin a once-in-a-lifetime chance at peace and quiet.
"So," Star said, "Have you been to Earth to see Uncle Neptune recently?" she looked at them, hope momentarily lifting her off of the ground.
The two nodded in unison, and reached into their pockets for the gifts that Neptune always bestowed his beloved neices.
Athena was wearing a pearl necklace, Artemis a pearl bracelet, and they handed Star her gift. She gasped as the beautiful pearl hair comb sparkled and glittered when Artemis uncovered it.
"Turn around, Star," Artemis ordered. Star obeyed, and her sisters arranged her hair around the new fixture, the stunning comb that their uncle had given her. "Finished. Now, look at me."
The twins gasped, for the pearls glittered, and make Star's head seem to glow. Athena pulled out her compact, "Look at yourself, Sis, you're gorgeous."
Star smiled, her uncle had very good taste for a man, and she would have to thank him the next time she visited Earth.
"Well, we'll be going now," Artemis informed her younger sibling, "Bye, sweet thing."
"See ya 'round, suga." The trio embraced a final time, before the twins left.
"Bye, girls." Star waved, "Stay out of trouble without the third musketeer there to share the blame!"
"We will, honest!" they called back, before disappearing through the main entrance doors.
"Now, to announce the lucky contesants who will be living in this place."
