Madmiko:
I’m glad you approve of my story It meant allot to me. When I found the Chakram, I thought immediately of Kohaku, but then I thought, why couldn’t Souta use it? Beside’s, I never seen a character in any of the Fanfics of Inu, Yu Yu, Rounin, ect… use a Chakram. Kinda made me think of Xena Thank you for your review and I hope you continue to leave behind a little bit of something behind after you visit my stories ( characters of which, I do not own)!

Sisterinlaw19:
What’s wrong with Koenma? Personally, I thought he was quite tasty in his adult form! But I haven’t decided yet, I know I’m not going to pair Kagome with Kurama or Sesshomaru, and definitely not Kazuma. Possibly Hiei, seeing as how everybody likes the way the story has laid it out for them. Honestly, when I started, I was really thinking about airing her with Koenma, because of the History the two share… I don’t want to go too in depth, without giving anything away, but later on, you’ll see why I wanted Kagome with Koenma. But if it’s a Hiei/Kagome everybody wants, that’s might be just what they get *shrug* who knows?

VB:
I’m sorry I made things confusing, I left out a bit. Just to make sure things are cleared up, the mirror that Kagome talked to Sesshomaru through is only an artifact that has a direct link to him. It could only be used once, and Shippou held onto until Kagome used it. Now that she used it, the mirror doesn’t work anymore and Sesshomaru is still untraceable and unreachable… Well, not for Kagome, but still! Again, I’m sorry I mixed things up and I hope this clears it up for you!

Chapter Seven: A Look into My Mind…
~~

I traveled at the back of the group this time, watching as Souta and Hiei moved ahead of me, the demon on the high rocks my brother on the rock path. This plane that we were on was made entirely of rocks. Many of them were bigger than some of the highest buildings in Tokyo. Their were few paths between the towering and crumbling rock’s, and we were often forced to climb in order to move forward.

The planes grew larger and larger with each descent made by our group, making me wonder how large the final plane of the Makai was. Hiei distanced himself from me a much as possible since my little ‘slip’. I made sure I had my Kusarigama tucked safely in my sash along with my Tessen.
“Neesan?”
I looked up from my musings to see Souta waiting for me to catch up. Looking further I saw Hiei perched on a high rock slab, tilted sharply against a smaller slab. He frowned at me, tilting his head up suspiciously and narrowing his eyes with a sharp frown. Looking back at Souta, I tilted my head with a weary smile, feeling suddenly cold.
“I’m alright, Souta. Don’t worry about me.”
“Are you s-?”
In a split second, my sense went wild, my spine straightened and tingled.
“KAGOME!!!”
I snapped my torso forward, narrowly missing a giant boomerang, the after shock of the weapon snapped violently against my hair and clothes, but as I stood up, I kept my eyes trained on the giant weapon even as we were ambushed by creatures as gray and hard as the rocks around us. The giant boomerang, as familiar to me as the air I breathed daily. I watched as it crested in the sky, back whirling as it retraced its steps, spinning in deadly precision back towards me.

My eyes narrowed as it gained speed and distance, the sound of its mass winging through the air rippled against my subconsciousness, bringing back dark images of war and blood. I side stepped as it passed, lifting my hand and twirling on the heel of the right foot, halting it and slamming one end into the rocky ground as I looked up to see who had sent it. My eyes widened when I saw her. A woman, long flowing black hair in a tight ponytail, wearing a poison mask and a spandex suit with pink armor.

My eyes widened further when a large gold and black neko stepped up to her side, glowering down at me in blood lust. The hair on the back of the neko’s massive shoulders and neck rose sharply as she lowered her head, round ears snapping back.
“K… Ki..-Sango!?”
The woman leapt upon the back of the gold and black neko, and together they rose into the air, only to nose dive right at me.
“Kagome-gruh-Kagome, look out!”
I glanced sharply over my shoulder to see a rock demon towering over me, I snarled in dark annoyance as it lifted both of its fists above its head, roaring loudly. Its voice sounded like scraping rocks, cracking into one another sharply.

Without turning towards it, I crossed an arm over my chest and flipped my hand open over my shoulder, blasting the beast with a potent, deadly blast of energy. Redirecting my attention back to the neko and her rider, I found them so close that I only had time to erect a barrier before the gold neko was upon me, clawing with all four paws and fangs against the magic, trying to get through. I snarled and pushed more magic into the barrier as I strained against the neko’s impressive strength.

Fear touched my soul as my vision flashed pink.
Weakness… you are weak…
Unworthy Keeper…Unfit to behold the Shikon no Tama…
…weakness shall not behold the power of the jewel…
“Give us control, little one… We will save you.”
..unworthy of our strength-
UNWORTHY!!
The barrier broke, shattering like glass with a shockwave of released, wild power. The gold and black neko landed on top of me, her paws digging into my shoulders and pushing me into the rocky terrain. The fragile plates of rock shattered, while the stronger stabbed into my flesh. I cried out sharply as the neko reared her head back, giant fangs glistening with saliva against the black and purple abyss around us. My eyes widened, my heart beat twice. I was unable to move.

The familiar, once companion, neko and rider were above me. The woman laughed as the neko’s fangs lengthened as it opened its mouth wide in a feral snarl. Her head snapped down and I closed my eyes.

The neko roared in pain, blood splashed on my face and throat. My eyes shot open to see a sword, blade against the roof of the neko’s mouth, vertically lodged behind the massive fangs and holding the mouth open with the brute force of the little fire demon whom saved me. I scrambled out from under the thrashing paws of the neko as it reared back and leapt into the air, the blade splicing across the lips and roof of the creature’s mouth.
“Hiei-?”
“Get up!”
He barked, standing in front of me and glaring at me from over his shoulder. Scrambling to my feet, I pulled my Kusarigama from the my sash at my lower back and lurched to his side.
“Hiei, can you handle Kirara?”
“What-!?”
We split apart, lurching in opposing directions as Kirara landed down where we’d originally stood. The woman leapt off the golden neko, towards me, pulling a sword from her sheath.

I cursed and twisted myself around in midair, down slashing hard with my first Kusarigama, and side swiping with the second. The woman’s brown eyes, painted gracefully with red, glared at me with a hooded hateful leer. She slanted her weapon, blocking the first Kusarigama with the tip of her blade, knocking the second with the blunt of the hit so forcefully, that it not only deterred my attack and successfully blocked it; but swung so hard that she was able to continue the swing of her hilt, but followed through and cracked me against my cheek.

My head snapped to the side, my torso following it as I spun relentlessly through the air until I cracked against a rock and slid back down to the ground.
Useless mortal… youkia… youkia flesh…
…weak human flesh-
Youkia!
YOUKIA!!
I screamed as the bone’s in my chest cavity re-broke and shifted, molding back together with sick pops and cracks. Running out of air, my lungs expanded sharply and my eyes widened. Pain exploded behind my eyes and I squeezed them shut, arching my spine as the vertebrae’s realigned.

YOUKIA!!
Call forth the youkia…
…Naraku….
Demon blood…flesh of Naraku…
The heat in my blood reached boiling temperature. His mind exploded without warning, overtaking my own instantly. He rolled to the side and swatted Sango’s sword aside as if it were a wooden toy. The taijiya’s eyes widened as she leapt back as Naraku made a second attempt with a lashing tentacle that sprouted from our arm like warm rubber.
Naraku…
“Hello my dear, have you missed me?”
Naraku leapt into the air, following behind the retreating taijiya with ease. Sango made her way back to her Hirakotsu, she landed the back flip on the handle and rolled her feet, swinging the giant bone like a wide spear. Naraku chuckled and evaded the attack with practiced ease, lashing downwards a wounding strike on the taijiya’s right shoulder as she swung back around to begin her counterattack, which she completed and executed with unfailing grace.
Don’t kill her.
“Come now, would you honestly wish this woman’s life, when it is not her own?”
Do not KILL HER!
Naraku snarled and grabbed the woman by her throat, the fingers instantly turning into fleshy vines and ensnaring her from chin to toe.
The demon’s features ghosted over my own features like a veil, his movement’s guiding my own with unrelenting dominance and control.

“Onna. Do not fight me. Not now.”
I growled, feeling myself being pushed into the back recesses of his mind.
Naraku…!
We lifted our hand, the fingers molding into a sharp blade of flesh, we held it before the woman’s hooded, angry eyes.
You kill her, Naraku… And I don’t care about the jewel. I’ll kill you; AGAIN!

Naraku hissed and lifted the blade to his scalp, the flesh returning to a hand as he snarled in pain.
“What are you, beast the Makai?”
Oh yes, ask it for its identity, Naraku.
The taijiya suddenly smirked, light coloring the chocolate color of the woman’s eyes.
“You are the Keeper, yes?”
Naraku’s liquid fire eyes flashed.
“Speak!”
Our vines tightened, the flesh hardening to steel under our command.
“I am the Seeker.”
I don’t like the sound of that…
“Who do you work for?”

Hiei and my brother, holding the rock demons at bay, were growing weary.
Naraku…
“Who do you work for?”
The taijiya laughed, the sound eerie behind the poison mask.

The Fire Apparition was doing his best, warding off the gold and black neko, as well as helping Souta and defending his back.
Naraku.
:Consider yourself lucky bitch:
“I will ask you this, once more. Who do you work for?”
The taijiya’s brown eyes gleamed scarlet in a flashing bolt of purple lightning. Then she was gone, evaporated in a stream of gray smoke, her form washing away in the harsh winds of the Makai. In that instant, the gold and black neko as well as the rock demon’s, followed suit in various way’s. The rocks crumbled or fell into a pile of rubble.

My spirit surged forward, beating Naraku’s blood and soul back into dormancy. With his retreated, came the revival of the Shikon no Tama’s collected voice’s. Of course, while in dormancy, I’m not apart of the whole anymore. My body is completely taken over, and only a shred of my mind remains awake, and thus the voice’s did not reach me. Having his own collection of voices that made up his soul and body, the Shikon no Tama’s voice’s were nothing to him.

I stretched with my arms at my side’s, curling at the elbow as my spine popped and aligned with the shorter, slightly weaker body; instead of Naraku’s taller form with thicker bones and muscle’s. The change was warm and tingly, and hurt only slightly; like growing up to fast with the pain of the bone’s stretching and shrinking back again.

My chin tapped my collarbone as my shoulder’s slumped and exhaustion settled in quickly, my strength draining out of me like a water faucet on full blast. I dropped to my knee’s, the sound loud in my ears as the gravel under me crunched and shattered. My arms hung limply at my sides as the last of the transformation was complete. I blinked slowly, feeling a tiny spark in my stomach; my magic and soul reuniting and aligning naturally after being ripped apart with Naraku’s invasion.
“Onna.”
My head shot up, and I ignored the way my vision swam with the sudden movement. Hiei stood in front of me, his black cloak whipping around him with his white scarf snapping lazily against his shoulder.
“H-Hiei?”
“What were you thinking? That neko could have eaten you alive… You’re damn lucky I was here.”
He growled and turned away.
“Arigatou.”
Glancing over his shoulder at me, he snorted.
“Hm. Lets go.”

Souta came and helped me stand; refusing to leave my side until we found a place to camp on another plane, this was a stinky bog. Bubbling pits of tar filled the air with a fume that was toxic to Souta and I. With a sacred arrow, embedded in the center of our camp, I managed to purify the air enough for us to breath and start a fire without chancing an explosive reaction. The ground was so mushy that if you weren’t careful, you’d sink to your knee, taking another help in order to get out. In which case, Souta would complain and whine as either Hiei or I would have to free him, depending on who was closer.

Once we’d settled down, with no food, for none existed on this plane, Hiei and I took first watch. I was exhausted and on the verge of delirium, I couldn’t shake the routine that I had adopted only years ago; having settled back into the past of my mind and once again fighting for survival at every turn. It was my element, where I was most comfortable and at peace.

I settled down against a large root with a sigh, hissing softly as my muscles relaxed and pulsed with aching pain. I rubbed my thighs and sighed, looking at the black fire with wonder.
“You need sleep, onna.”
“You need to call me by my name.”

He dropped down beside me on a high root. I looked up at him, but he was watching the fire, almost invisible except for his face and white starburst. He grunted and shot me a fleeting glare of fire. I shrugged and leaned back against the tree, closing my eyes.
“About the other day-.”
“Shut up, onna, and never speak of it again.”
I cracked an eye, looking up at him. Caught him glaring at me with a blush. He snarled and jerked his face away. I smiled fondly and shifted into a more comfortable position, my fingers flexing against my thigh muscles as I continued to knead the knots out of the them.
“Just so you know, it wasn’t me that was trying to jump your bone’s… Well, that’s not entirely true. It was me, but it was my instincts and… the Shikon no Tama that actually made me act on those desire’s.”
“… desire?”
I smiled and peeked another glance at him. He was watching the fire with an indescribable emotion in his eye, his face; as usual, was blank.
“Yeah, I won’t lie to you, Hiei, you’re very attractive; in a mysterious, jerk-face kinda way.”
He flashed me a frown and a disapproving glare.
“Jerk-face…?”
I giggled and nodded.
“Well yeah, your personality sucks.”
His eyebrows shot up.
“Oh yes, if your personality had a smell, I’d say it would stink so bad that no one would want to come near you, let alone be in the same room as you.”
“Oi!”
He snapped angrily, a pink shade covering his nose and cheeks. I giggled again and sat up, pushing my arms out in front of me before bringing them over my head.
“Sorry, but that’s how it is. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up for you, so you don’t think that bad of me.”
“And what makes you think I’d think bad of you?”
“Oro-?”
I blinked and looked up at him. He was glaring at me, his blush still in place. I blinked again, then dropped my arms with a heaved sigh.
“So then, you know how I think about you…”
I let it hang, and arched an eyebrow at him with a curious grin. He glared sharply at me in suspicion.
“If it has not been obvious, then I have mistaken.”
“Oh?”
“Aa.”
He grumbled softly and looked at the fire.
“You know, we human’s have a thing called dating. It’s where-.”
“I know of it!”
He snarled.
“And I will do no such thing with the likes of you!”
“Oi!”
It was my turn to flash my temper, and flash it did. For a second I saw only white as my anger spiked to a level that was dangerous when involved with the Shikon no Tama.
He blinked down at me, then smirked.
“Ah, what’s this? Are you angry? Have I hurt your feelings?”
“Damn right you did! Now apologize, right now!”
He arched an eyebrow at me, my temper rose and my stomach rolled as my magic prepared for use. I curled my fingers tight as the exhaustion turned into a numb feeling that slowly ebbed out of my mind until all I knew was my anger and the urge to knock Hiei’s face into the tree root until his teeth rattled inside his skull.

His eyebrows narrowed as I allowed that little fantasy sep through my barrier’s, where I knew he’d pick it up. I snickered and pushed myself to my feet on shaky legs. I didn’t notice but he did. His eyes snapped from my face to my knee’s.
“You are in no shape to fight me now, onna. Sit down.”
“Don’t tell me what to do!”
I hissed as I rose to my full height, bringing my face to his shoulder. He snickered down at me, and I got the distinct impression that he enjoyed be on higher ground than me. I snarled and grabbed a fist full of his cloak and cracked my foot against the root he was standing on, then pulled myself up, using only my right leg to keep my balance, and trusting him to hold the rest of my weight. He did with a grunt and a frown.
“Look here, stinky, you keep being a pain in my ass, and I’ll follow through with my last threat.”
His face was instantly cherry red, and a strange fear/surprise colored his scarlet red eyes. I snickered in my own enjoyment then set my left foot on the tree, balancing my own weight but keeping my hand fisted in his cloak.

Hiei’s hand rose as his eyes dropped to watch as he curled his fingers around my wrist. I snarled when he quite easily pulled himself free. He snapped his gaze back up to my face, and with his grip on my wrist, jerked me forward to tap our foreheads together. I hissed softly and winced, but his mocking, maniacal grin widened.
“It would be so easy to kill you right now, bitch. Don’t tempt me further.”
“Is that right? Well how about this?”
I jerked my head back and cracked my forehead against the bridge of his nose, shoving with the hand he held and catching him in the throat. I gasped when he kept his hold and pulled me with him as we fell over the tree root. He flipped us and I took the brunt of the fall, the squishy ground sucking me in and trapping me. He growled as he straddled my waist, snapping my arms over my head, my flesh giving with a sick slurp and a squelch. I winced as my muscles protested to the quick, unwanted movement.
“Bastard…”
I hissed. Hiei chuckled darkly as he held my wrists with one hand now, his other trailing mud down my left arm.
“How true.”
I cracked an eye, feeling tears in my eyes as the pain of the fall and his abusive tactics into getting my submission, settled and pulsed dully through my body.

Hiei’s eyes flashed onto mine and I opened my other, glaring right back at him as I tensed and prepared to uncoil at any given time, rather it be few seconds from now, or a few minute’s. Regardless, I was going to get free; and when I did…
“Know what, stinky? I think I’ve changed my mind.”
“Oh? In what way?”
He glowered, his fingers now trailing mud across my throat in a petting caress.
“I don’t think I want to fuck you anymore. I think now I’ll just kill you.”
A pleased grin flashed across his face before he tilted his head, content to watch his fingers smear mud across my clothes.

Hissing, his fingertips ghosted across my right breast, the feeling so light and unsatisfying that it burned and itched. I hissed as he chuckled.
“That’s too bad.”
“You gonna fuck me anyway?”
“Oh no. No, I won’t be fucking you… Not until you ask me for it.”
I grinned and flexed my hips, making him slide a tad further up on my stomach. He growled, his hand flashing back behind him and digging into my hip painfully. I growled as the pain curled up my stomach an straight up the back of my skull.
“I’ll tell you what.”
I sighed, glaring off to the side, before flicking a glare at him.
“You give me a good fight, here and now, make me submit to you. And I’ll beg you, beg you for the best fuck of my life.”
His eyes flashed as they returned to me.
“Is that right?”
I nodded and kicked my knee’s into his back, using brute strength alone to continue the flip and land on top of him, his knee’s against my side’s as I settled my weight onto him, the ground absorbing him enough to where he couldn’t scootch out from under me.
“Bitch.”
“I’m sorry, am I too heavy?”
He blushed and wiggled, I laughed and pressed my hips into his. He froze, his eyes snapping up into mine. That’s when it hit me. My mind tripped backwards, relaying all the times Hiei blushed under my teasing, under my proximity.
“You’ve never done this before, have you?”
The fire demon snarled and lifted his hands to the back of my arms, above my elbows, slowly pushing my torso off his. Unable to resist, I dug my knee’s into the soft ground between his thighs, centering my weight as much as I could to keep my hips against his.
“I take that you have?
“Just can’t believe that you hadn’t. I mean, really… Are you serious? You can’t be.”
I grunted as I pressed the heels of my palms against his shoulder, pressing him further into the ground. He glanced at his shoulder and snarled, pushing me above him higher.

At a stalemate, our hips still touching; we glared at each other. I was panting from the exertion, a thin layer of sweat coating my chest and arm’s. Hiei was smirking, glaring at me triumphantly, despite my dominate position.
“I can assure you, bitch, that I’ve never had a rut before.”
“You rut? I thought that was only with Inu’s and Ookami’s.”
“All demon’s rut, stupid. Some just do it differently.”
I arched an eyebrow, retightening my hold as he shifted. He snickered and relaxed under me, I blinked. Knowing it was a trick to lull me into security, and knowing it would work eventually, I snarled down at him.

He out right laughed at me then, closing his eyes as he enjoyed his mirth. I growled down at him, pressing against his hold, but he continued at laugh at me. I felt my cheeks flare with heat as my stomach flipped. My temper rose and I ground my teeth together.
“You son of a bitch…”
Hs eyes snapped open, his mirth completely gone as he glared at me. I frowned at his reaction, but decided to figure it out later as I redoubled my efforts with my remaining strength.
“Remember our deal, bitch?”
“OH, how sweet! You want to lose your virginity to me.”
He blushed and snapped into action. I found myself airborne in the blink of an eye, the tree root behind me cracking against my back as he flashed in front of me, holding me against the root, extending my pain.
“Ahrg!”
I ground my teeth and lowered my chin to glare down at him. He snickered up at me, using a lower root to bring himself up to my height.
“Who said anything about that? I haven’t made you submit yet, have I?”
“You’re such a cocky bastard, stinky.”
His eyes narrowed.
“Don’t call me that.”
“Don’t call me Onna.”
“Have I lately?”
“I only just called you stinky.”
Hiei rolled his eyes.
“You did a few minutes before that.”
“Prove it.”
I let the words roll out of my mouth slowly as I leaned towards him. He growled and snapped a hand out, wrapping his fingers around my throat. My hand followed his movement and latched onto his wrist almost the instant he’d caught me.
“Neesan?”
I looked over my shoulder, straining my neck to see over the root behind me.
“What are you doing?”
He asked, rubbing his eyes and sitting up. I shifted and glanced at Hiei, who glared at me with hate and urgency, I rolled my eyes and looked back at Souta.
“Uh, just going pee. Go back to sleep.”
He yawned and nodded, looking around.
“Oi? Where’s Hiei?”
“Went looking for food, apparently he thinks theirs food around here somewhere.”
I turned and glared at Hiei as I spoke, the little fire demon bared his fangs at me, his blood red eyes almost glowing with his anger. I snickered and showed of a white tooth with a quick grin.
“Oh. I doubt he’ll find anything.”
“Me either, Souta-kun. Now, go back to sleep.”
“Aren’t you going to sleep.”
I snarled and glared at the root behind me, muttering about my stupid brother and how he wouldn’t shut up and do as I say.
Hiei snickered and leaned in enough to brush his lips against my cheek.
“Must run in the family.”
Then he was gone and I fell to my knees with a grunt, snapping off a few shards of loose bark along the way.
“Shit!”
I hissed, grabbing my shin, feeling though the ripped cloth my own blood as it burned past the torn skin.
“Neesan? You okay?”
I stood up and made my way back over the large root to my previous spot.
“I’m alright, just slipped.”
Souta yawned again and scratched the back of his head. Having cut his hair before we came, Souta’s hair had grown in the week’s we’ve been here. If it was spiked, it’s be as long as Hiei’s. The boy was also growing a goatee, and he scratched that next.
“Its almost dawn.”
I explained with a yawn absently. Shaking the effects of the involuntary action, I looked at the Makai around us, noting that the pitch blackness, only illuminated by the glow of the black fire, as lightening to a more usual purple/gray.
“Yeah… Man, I hope Hiei finds something. How long has he been gone?”
I blinked, then smiled fondly at the fire.
“Not long.”
“You like him, don’t you?”
“Eh?”
Truly curious as to how Souta might have put that together, I turned to him. He smiled.
“You fight with him like you used to fight with Inuyasha-niisan. You look at him like that, too.”
“Like that? Like what?”
“Like you want to bash his face into the ground, then jump his bones.”
I blinked as something bubbled in my chest. I lifted a hand to quell the felling, but their was no stopping it. I tipped my head back and laughed.
“WHAT?! Oh-oh gods, Souta-kun! That was FUNNY!”
He chuckled, but continued to look at me as if I’d just grew a second head.
“What? You should have seen yourself, sometimes. It was bad.”
I wiped at my eyes, then turned to him with a smile.
“Gods, Souta-kun, when did you grow up?”
“While you were gone!”
He growled playfully. I nodded and stretched again, using my magic to restore my physical energy supply, giving it the equivalent of a good nights sleep. The consequences of doing this, was that your mind never rested, and though my body was as good as new, my mind was still weary and exhausted. This, however, was easily fixed.

I closed my eyes and focused inside of me.
Naraku…
Blood red bubbles reacted to my presence, surging around me with urgent familiarity. Blood red eyes opened, flowing black ink wrapping around me fondly. Consumed with his youki and soul, I felt suffocated and venerable.

Naraku opened his eyes, the left his original, solid red, his right my own ash blue. Trapped within my female body, Naraku’s feature’s only ghosted over my own, his black hair a ghost as it settled over the top of my head. His clothes materialized overtop of mine, as translucent as a wisp of cloud.

I closed my eyes as his youki and soul merged into mine. Red bubble’s in silver water’s, black hair snaking through the waters and bubbles to cradle me.

Sleep, little miko. When you rise, I shall fall…

Naraku glanced around and registered Souta, taking note of the event’s that had passed between the Keeper and her apparent Chosen Breeder.

“Ah, yes, the new Breeder…”
“Neesan?”
“No, little boy. You’re sister has gone to sleep. I am Naraku.”
Souta’s eyes widened as he stood. Before him stood the Nightmare of his sister’s dream’s, the very demon who threatened all she stood for, all she stood against.

Before Souta stood the embodiment of the evil that equaled Kagome’s purity, the exact opposite and equal of the Keeper. Gathered souls made him, gathered soul’s captured him; hold him, and Keep him.
