Chapter 5: Love or Hate?

As Jidus stalked through the hallways sniffing for Zarku, he then stopped next to a door and smiled.

Jidus: Come out, come out wherever you...

He then opens the door to find Zarku sleeping.

Jidus: Damn! Well I can draw pictures on his face.

He smiled evilly as he took out a black marker. When he was done he heard a beeping coming from his left hand. He pressed a button on his hand as he left Zarku’s room a hologram of Metal Sonic appeared.

Jidus: What is it? I’m already home and I don’t want any calls from my brothers either understand?

Metal Sonic: I understand, just called to tell you the other side has 2 teammates.

Jidus: Who are they?

Metal Sonic: A fox demon sir, mostly like the little Shippo the InuYasha group has... but it’s a female. The other is a Youko Fox, Bat Demon mix sir. Their names are Shiro the little fox and the other is Kasumi Soto another girl. Oh and sir... Sesshoumaru is in your area.

Jidus: Metal... how long was he there?

Metal Sonic: He been standing there since you guys got back.

Jidus just growled as he walked to the exit, when he got there he didn’t see Kagura.

(Jidus: She must of went to a bedroom to nap.)

He then looked to Kagura’s heart as he put in his cloak, he shook his head as he walked through his defenses to the a forest and jumped high in the air to land in a forest clearing.

Jidus: Where is he?

He then heard a couple of people talking as he climbed up a tree and peered through the branches undetected. The first voice was highly familiar to him.

(Jidus: Sesshoumaru.)

He then listened out to the other voice and noticed that it was...

(Jidus: Kagura!)

He then listened more closely to the conversation as he slowly transformed into his demon form.

Kagura: What are you going to do to him?

She said worried like.

Sesshoumaru: I’m to kill him for trying to slay InuYasha.

Jidus then growled very lowly for neither of them to hear him, but Sesshoumaru did as he struck the tree Jidus was in. As it fell he jumped out of the branches to land before Sesshoumaru as Kagura only stepped away.

(Jidus: I sense nothing here so I might slay him just for the hell of it.)

He then smiled as his hood fell off, his eyes glowed while the moonlight hit them as he kept a low rumbling growl as he continued to stare at Sesshoumaru with his cold reptilian eyes.

Jidus: What do you want dog?

Sesshoumaru: Tell me, why are you after my brother?

Jidus: Cause I want him to be beaten by someone how can, and that’s ME!

He then charged at Sesshoumaru with hate in his eyes.

Sesshoumaru: We shall see about that.

They then both attacked each other when they connected as Jidus back flipped away from Sesshoumaru who was clutching his left arm in pain. When Jidus stopped he only crossed his claws over his chest while blood dripped off his right. Jidus just sneered as he thought he had won as he charged again, as Jidus got close enough Sesshoumaru went for the Toukijin and used it power to stop Jidus’s attack. But it seemed he wasn’t affected as he smacked the Toukijin away from Sesshoumaru’s grasp. He was about to give the death blow to Sesshoumaru but he sensed something watching them as he glanced up to see Rin and Jaken. Jidus withdrew his claws and took the Toukijin as he walked away.

Jidus: You can have InuYasha as long as I have your sword here, it seemed to increase my powers.

He and Kagura vanished into the shadows as Sesshoumaru watched with narrowed eyes. Jaken and Rin then ran to Sesshoumaru who was using the Tenseiga to heal his arm.

Sesshoumaru: You will pay, no one has been able to survive my poison claws for long... and I cut you deep so I doubt you’ll be around long... Jidus Conevil.

When they got back to his place Jidus now in his human form, kneeled in pain as he grasped the wound Sesshoumaru gave him.

Jidus: Damn! Now I knew why he left himself open, he wanted to strike near my heart! That...

Kagura: Now, now be quiet you need your rest especially with that blow to the chest.

He just grunted as he let Kagura walked him to his bedroom.

Jidus: How did you know where my bedroom is?

Kagura just pointed back to the door frame with the black and red flames about the red door.

Jidus: Lucky guess.

She then put him on his bed.

Kagura: I’ll get some of the others and see if they know anything about antidotes.

Jidus: Do me and favor and don’t get Zarku... wait scratch that do get him. And I ready have an antidote so I’ll be okay in a few weeks.

He chuckled as she left, Jidus then opened a drawer and pulled out a vial of antidote and took a sip then he relaxed. After a couple a minutes Kagura came back with the others as Zarku walked through the doorway yawning with the marking still on his face. Jidus and the others tried to contain they laughter as they looked at Zarku’s face.

Zarku: What? What’s so funny?

Jidus just pointed to a mirror.

Zarku: AH! Who did this!

They all busted up laughing for a couple of minutes as Zarku just fumed.

Jidus: I’m sorry Zarku but I needed to get you back for that little outburst.

Zarku: Why you!!!

Zarku charged at him but was smacked away by a tail, Zarku followed it to find it connected to Jidus.

Jidus: It seems I can make my tail come back, that’s a good thing I won’t be able to move until tomorrow. After a few weeks I’ll be in top fighting form again until then you guys must fight for me.

Shadow: But...

Jidus: Don’t worry Shadow I’ll will pay you double for fighting harder.

He then drew the Toukijin as he tested it out.

Kuro: You took that from...

Jidus: Yes I took it from dog boy, now if you’ll excuse me I’ll be needing rest so good night.

Everyone left except Kagura who just sat at the end of the bed and looked at him.

Jidus: What?

Kagura: You were jealous.

Jidus eyes then narrowed as she giggled. He then turned his head away from her while having a dark look on his face trying not to become enraged with his emotions. When she was done giggling there was nothing but silence. As the minutes passed Jidus’s eyes started to become heavy as he slowly fell asleep. Kagura then looked at Jidus again as she walked to the other side of the bed and sat down.

(Kagura: I wonder what he looks like with his hood off as a human?)

She then reached out just for his tail to grasp her hand and shoved it back towards her.

Kagura: What the...

His tail moved like it had a mind of its own as the tail slowly pulled off his hood showing his face.

(Kagura: He so young! I thought he would be older.)

A voice then rang through the room as she examined Jidus’s face.

Voice: You shouldn’t judge people by first appearances.

Kagura: Who is there?

She wielded a fan as a figure walked through the shadows.

Figure: I’m Dark one of Jidus’s brothers. I have came to tell you something.

Kagura: Hold on! Who do I know you’re his brother?

He fingered a sewn symbol on his cloak, it was a black sun.

Dark: Look at the symbol on his cloak.

She searched it to find the same exact symbol.

Dark: Only the Conevil brothers wield this symbol.

Kagura: If Jidus had brothers wouldn’t he say something about you?

Dark: No he wouldn’t, he doesn’t like talking about family that much so he just talks about other things. GAH! I’m getting off course. Listen Jidus miscalculated the potion he actually has 3 and a ½ weeks until he’s fully recovered. On the second week he will only be able to fight for a short period of time and then he’s prone until another week. Remember my words.

He then vanished as Kagura look at Jidus with worried eyes.

~ Forest ~

InuYasha and Yusuke argued who was going to give the killing blow while the others watched.

Yusuke: I’m going to finish him off and that’s final!

InuYasha: No you won’t!

Yusuke: Yes I will!

As they continued to argue they hardly noticed the poison insects in the air above them.

Lee: InuYasha...

InuYasha: What!?!

They all pointed up to the poison insects they hovered overhead they all then started to move west making the others follow.

Shiro: Aren’t we going into a trap?

InuYasha: Yeah and Jidus is probably there too.

When they got to the area it was a wasteland with nothing but sand and high cliffs. As they observe their surroundings InuYasha sniffed about while Yusuke scanned about the area.

InuYasha / Yusuke: Jidus show your face!

The evil team then walked from the shadows as Zarku chuckled.

Zarku: I’m sorry, he’s bed ridden at the moment... oops.

He looked to the others who just glared at him.

Zarku: What?!? I let it slip so what?!?

Kuro: You gave away valuable info to Naraku that’s what!

Shadow: Can we stop? I want to see if they still have a fighting chance.

Both teams were ready to fight but was interrupted by a unknown strong wind. They all looked up to see Kagura with Jidus looking over the edge of the gigantic feather.

Jidus: Hey guys do mind me just watching the fight.

Yusuke: Hey! get down from there and fight! Spirit Gun!

Kagura dodged the shot as they went a little higher.

Kagura: You okay Jidus?

Jidus: I’m fine Kagura.

He just grinned as he looked down at the battle as both teams charged at one another. Shadow against Hiei, Zarku against Sango and Miroku, Genjii against Kagome and InuYasha, Kaline against Kurama, Kuro against Jin and Touya. As they fought only Faith, Yusuke and his gang, and Shippo, Shiro, Nanashi, and Kasumi watched the fight with anger. As this happened Jidus just watched with glee as he hovered overhead with Kagura.

Jidus: I can’t believe their actually holding their own... I wonder if I should have lead them in the first place. I know Genjii is taking it easy on the girl but not InuYasha... he wants him dead as much as I do. AH! Damn! The Poison
its affecting me now!

He just clutched his chest in pain as the poison started to affect his heart. But as this happened evening started to end as a new moon started to rise. Jidus then fought the poison as he looked back at the battle. Genjii was winning his battle easily as InuYasha started to transform into a human Genjii stopped fighting him and just glanced at Kagome as he was prepare to slay them. As Jidus watched this a flow of power then started to fight the poison as well making him well as he jumped down to the battle field his raptor form back.

The good side watched in horror as Jidus changed before them. His height went from 5 to 7 feet tall as black scales appear and his red eyes became reptilian as his hood fell off showing his face.

Jidus: Now InuYasha how has the upper hand now?

InuYasha just took out Tetsusaiga making Jidus laugh hard.

Jidus: This might be a surprise for you.

He then took out Toukijin as he twirled about his person.

InuYasha: You fought my...

Jidus: Shut it! I came here to slay you and Yusuke... hey wait a sec were is that arrogant ass anyway?

Yusuke: Spirit Gun!

Jidus just looked to the side to see a huge ball of spirit energy coming at him. When the attack struck him and the smoke cleared he was gone.

Yusuke: I can’t believe it... I killed Jidus!

A sword then came across his neck as he looked behind himself to see a sneering Jidus with only a torn cloak, his clothes underneath fine.

Jidus: No one can kill me Yusuke... and I mean no one.

Just then a horde of soulless demons and humans came from nowhere. This made Jidus sigh as he took the sword away from Yusuke.

Jidus: He just doesn’t quit does he?

As this happened a figure came from the west slaying multiple demons with a whip. It was Sesshoumaru who got beside Jidus and glanced.

Sesshoumaru: Your not dead?

Jidus: No time to explain, lets just say I’m a rare find of half breeds.

He nodded as Jidus looked back to the other two teams.

(Jidus: I know I’m going to regret this in the morning.)

Jidus: Listen my team and yours! We won’t make it out of this alive unless we band together! I know we won’t be like this for a good while but for now, for our own lives we must be a team!

Both teams glanced at each other as they got battle ready. Jidus then noticed something as he looked about seeing only nothing but soulless bodies.

Jidus: Where is Kagura?!?!

He looked up to see her taken by a puppet of Naraku. He glared with so much hatred in his eyes the area about them just then became pitch black. The others looked about themselves to see no soulless demons or humans just darkness.

Jidus: I’m only going to say this once... GIVE HER BACK!

His yell pierced through the darkness making an echo that everyone heard.

Naraku: I will after you and your teammates rejoin me as MY henchmen!

Jidus: I will not let the team and myself be disgrace that way!

As they argued the darkness started to dissipate showing no more soulless demons and humans just wasteland. Then the sun started to rise as Jidus instantly fell to his knees in weakness while InuYasha stood in his normal state.

Jidus: I... will...n-not... let you...t-take...her.

He reached out just to fall face first to the ground. Zarku and Shadow picked him up as they watched Kagura vanish.

~ Jidus’s Castle ~

Jidus was on his bed sweating from the poison and trembling with rage as his left hand started to power up. The other teams just sat in the living room staring at each other. Neither of them backing down with there equal stares. But someone broke the silence.

Shippo: What are we going to do now?

Miroku: We wait for Jidus to get better so we can find Kagura, then we fight to the death.

Shiro: Must we?

Kurama: It seems to be the only way.

Youko just nodded as he look at his human form. Hiei and Genjii just sat Indian style waiting both having their eyes closed, not a single word escaping their mouths. Kaline just sprawled all over a couch look about with a glazed gaze. Zarku trying to next to Sango. InuYasha and Yusuke glancing down the hallway where Jidus’s room is. Sesshoumaru only looking about in the game room. A voice then rang through the house as they looked about for its owner.

Voice: Brother are you there?

Then Jidus’s voice rang throughout the house as well.

Jidus: Brother Dark? What are you doing here?

Dark: I’m helping you bro, I spoke to the others and they seem to be too busy to help except me and Dark Chris.

A chuckle was then heard.

Jidus: He never wants to stay home huh?

Dark: No brother he doesn’t... now for your illness.

A figure then walked out of the shadows into the hallway as they all watched. The figure wore a cloak identical to Jidus’s but it had a different symbol on the right side of the cloak it was a yellow triangle. After about an hour a streak flew by the teams and landed between them... it was Jidus but he looked completely different as he looked up to the both of them and smiled with glee as the figure walked into the living room and vanished.

Jidus: Don’t mind me I’m perfectly fine now, I have regained my original form after all this time. Before I was programmed a Hero Slayer... I was a... Sith Lord.

His left hand and right arm were completely human now.

*Don’t worry about this, I’ll have a fic talking about Jidus’s past soon, but for now I’ll continue this fic.*

His face then went from happy to anger as he drew a single lightsaber in his left along with a double edge in his right.

Jidus: Now for Naraku, InuYasha and Yusuke you want me to help me slay this fool for no more interruptions?

InuYasha just nodded.

Yusuke: Wait a sec, what about...

A lightsaber was then put in Yusuke’s face.

Jidus: Saying something...boy?

Yusuke shook his head.

Jidus: Thought so, lets go.

~ Forest Protecting Naraku’s Castle ~

As they approached a forest a bunch of soulless demons charged from inside, Jidus took care of them in one strike.

Jidus: Pathetic, Come on and be careful heros I sense evil all about this place.

Destiny: What about you?

Jidus: I’m an exception... I feel a little... neutral.

The evil side just looked at him as his aura became red.

Jidus: Don’t worry... I might be neutral but my attitude is the same.

He then turned on a lightsaber when he sensed something from the bushes. Sesshoumaru then get between him and the bushes.

Sesshoumaru: Come on Rin, don’t be afraid.

Jidus then sniffed.

Jidus: Human, toad, and a two headed dragon?

He just shrugged when Rin, Jaken, and the dragon appeared.

InuYasha: Come on were running out of time!

Jidus: Alright then...

He then dashed through the forest leaving a red streak behind as the others followed. As they followed it they saw nothing but corpses of soulless demons all of them either chopped up or sizzling with smoke. When they reached Naraku’s castle they already saw Jidus taking on 10 powerful demons. His clothes were scratched up along with his body it had multiple small gashes near his heart and big ones on the side of his arms. He acted like it was nothing as he assaulted them with hate in eyes. While they continued to watch they almost failed to notice the other 10 demons behind them but they dodged just at the right time.

InuYasha: Naraku managed to make dead demons come back to life!

Yusuke: This might take some time...

Then Jidus appeared next to Yami his body covered in battle scars.

Jidus: Yami, do you think you can make the same amount of demons appear because I really need to get to Naraku.

Yami: Yes, but I’ll need some cover.

He whistled for his team to come to him.

Jidus: Listen get the others and try to defend Yami here as much as possible while Me, InuYasha, and Yusuke will go deal with Naraku in there alright?

They nodded.

Jidus: If you only see InuYasha and Yusuke come out... leave.

They all looked at each other while Genjii just huffed.

Jidus: I only can say this once Genjii, and that is to open a little... and I mean to her.

He, InuYasha, and Yusuke then ran inside the throne hut as they others followed them with their eyes.

~ Inside ~

Kagura was hanging from the ceiling unable to move at all. She then saw Jidus dashing in along with InuYasha, and Yusuke.

Kagura: Jidus!

Jidus looked up to see her and was about to go to her but was stopped by Naraku who got in his way.

Jidus: Outta my way!

Naraku: Hold on, Jidus I know what about happened and I decided if you slain those two you can have Kagura back along with the jewel.

Jidus’s eyes then went dim after he heard that as he slowly turned to them.

InuYasha: Jidus... no!

Yusuke: Don’t forget about Kagura!

He then turned on both his lightsabers as he charged inhuman speed, he then vanished into thin air. They both looked around and saw Kagura was gone then they found Naraku knocked out with Jidus sitting where Naraku was hiding with Kagura who was burned by ropes and scratched by chains.

Kagura: Don’t worry about me I’ll be fine I just need some rest.

Jidus chuckled as he put her down and walked to Yusuke and InuYasha his face went from smug to emotionless.

InuYasha: Lets gets this over with.

Yusuke: Yes.

All three charged to connect as the force of their fighting almost destroyed the throne hut.

~ Outside ~

When the battle was done everyone just rested waiting for the three to return. Then the hut started to catch on fire as Yusuke and InuYasha left it with Kagura and Naraku in their grasp.

Zarku: Where’s Jidus, where is he?!?

Yusuke: After he took down Naraku he fought us he lost.

Kuro: That means... you killed him.

Genjii just laughed when he heard that.

Kaline: What are you laughing about Jidus just died?

Genjii only said one word.

Genjii: No.

Shadow: What do you mean ‘No.’? And who is going to pay me now since he’s dead?

InuYasha and Yusuke looked to each other then Shadow.

InuYasha/ Yusuke: Um...

Metal Sonic: Holy Crap!

Alexander: What?

Metal Sonic: Chicken and mayonnaise does tastes good!

Alexander: Uh... what about Jidus?

Metal Sonic: Oh he’s going to be fine.

Alexander: But he’s dead...

Metal Sonic: Oh!...oh.

Alexander: Jidus doesn’t own us nor the other ooc’s in the fic he only owns himself and the Conevil brothers. May God be with him.
