Prologue

“I have a job for you `my sweet.'” A smug cocky voice hissed calmly into the dark room as its owner stood in the doorway looking into the room. Slowly a shadowed figure in the darkest corner began to move. If you hadn't seen it move you would have thought that there was nothing in the room. The figure stepped out of the shadows and into the dim light of the candle that the owner of the smug voice held.
The figure was of what appeared to be a 19 year old human female. She was well muscled but not too much so that it interfered with her well developed female figure. She had long black ebony hair that reached her buttocks, soft ivory skin, but what you noticed most was her eyes they held no shine of happiness, hope, or life all you saw was a deep endless pits of dark brown. “Tell me what to do Master Naraku.” She muttered softly and emotionlessly ready to do anything that he told her to do.
The newly pronounced Naraku smirked “Finally after two years I've managed to mold you into the perfect servant.” He said softly walking up to her looking her over “You wouldn't think of defying me now would you?” He asked as he stroked her cheek with the back of his hand.
She looked up at him with those endless pits of dark brown. “Of chores not Master Naraku.” She muttered emotionlessly as she stood perfectly still not moving under his touch.
“That's very wise of you `my sweet.'” he growled angrily before turning around and heading back out the door tossing a sharp “Follow me.” command over his shoulder. Obediently she did just she followed him out of the room.

Kagura stared at the quiet figure sitting beside her. This girl had been with their so called `father' for two years now and in that time she had watched as this girl had turned form the happy shy girl that was by nature to the quite emotionless shell she was now.
She'd given herself over to her worse enemy for the sake of her friends. She gave up herself so that Inuyasha could have Kikyo back just the way she was before Naraku had killed her. So that the demon exterminator could have her younger brother back whole alive and with no memory of what Naraku had made him do, and so that the Naraku would remove the Monk's Wind Tunnel.
`Why would a human do that for others?' she asked herself quietly as she watched the lifeless shell beside her. However she had hardly any time to think about it because their destination was coming up. With a sigh she redirected the air currents around her giant feather so that they began to land. “This is where I leave you Kagome. Naraku will be watching so when you defeat this disgusting creature I'll return to bring you back.” Kagura said coldly watching as Kagome slowly stood up on the feather.
“It is understood.” She replied emotionlessly once again then jumped off if the feather landing perfectly on the ground and taking off into the woods in search of the demon she was sent to kill.

Kagome stood up straight already laboring for breath her sword drawn and already stained in blood. It wasn't the only thing that was covered in blood she was as well. Some of it was her's but most of it was of the demon she was sent to kill and his minions. It was strange no matter how many times she attacked this creature it always rose again to fight.
Her muscles were sore and acking and she needed rest badly but she would not let her Master down. She knew what'd happen if she returned without completing her job. She done it once before and ended up with three broken ribs a black eye and a busted lip. Yea she was going to do just as she Master instructed she would kill this demon or die trying. She would not risk his wrath again. Never Again.
She rushed the demon even though she knew that it was no use. Just as she raised her sword to attack the demon beat her to it. It was what appeared to be some mix of bear and rock and it hit just like it was made of stone. Quickly she found herself at the receiving end of several punches and kicks. She heard the all too familiar sound of something popping and when she began to have trouble breathing she knew then that she was in big trouble, but yea despite that she still presses on trying her damnest to kill the retched beast. Soon the demon had her against a tree burying its large claws into her soft human flesh. Eventually she no longer had the strength to fight the beast any longer and quiet struggling.
Not to long later the demon realized it'd killed or mortally wounded its prey and stopped its attacking and turned to leave. Slowly she slid down the tree to rest sitting up as she died. She could feel her life force slipping farther and farther away abruptly her once empty eyes took on a life of their own as emotion shown through for the first time in several months “Finally…………..” she whispered so softly that the wind carried her words away before they could be heard “Freedom…..” her heart shuttered, her eyes glazed over and she was dead.

Naraku growled angrily as he watched one of his best fighters die in battle. He knew that she hadn't defied him through by dyeing. She had tried to kill the demon he had sent her after with all she had. No doubt that she feared risking his wrath by returning empty handed again. He smirked at that thought he'd taken great pleasure in beating her over and over every time she defied him even the smallest bit. His hatred for her ran down into his deepest core. Yes he was angry that she had died but her death was long over due and he was pleased that she was finally gone from his home never to return again. He gave one last look at her dead body through Kanna's mirror before dismissing the albino demon child.

Kagome found herself in a strange place. Everything was light and there were bright lights all around. This place gave off a sense of peace and tranquility that she never got to experience in the young life. She hated all the dark deeds that he had made her do while she was under his evil command, but now. Now she was free. Free to do what ever she wanted whatever she pleased. She smiled and twirled around in place head thrown back and her arms spread out wide. Yes she would enjoy it here very much…..
“Excuse me miss but I need to know what your name is.” A voice said softly behind her.
Kagome turned around to see a beautiful young woman dresses in golden robes and large white wings. She stared in wonder at the beauty of the creature in front of her. “My name?” she questioned back not quite understanding what this creature of wonder was asking of her.
