Summary: Kagome has this dream about this mysterious man. What if he was real? And

if he is, who is he?

Last time:

I woke up to find myself bandaged up, and I could feel the kiss from the dream.

`Well that's weird.' I mused to myself. I also woke up to find out that, I was in a room on

a bed. I saw the fox was on a chair, eyes shut. I also saw the two baka ningens snoring on

the couch. I was about to get out of this bed when I heard that damn toddlers voice.

This time: (In Hiei's POV)

"Hiei, I see that you are awake right now. Do you feel any better?" Koenma asked.

I almost rolled my eyes at him. I was not in the mood to talk or say anything to him. So, I

got up and headed to the door, but Boton opened it. `Damn' I thought.

"Oh… Hiei I see that you are awake. I hope you are feeling better." She

exclaimed. `Why is life so cruel to me?' I mused to myself again.

"Well, Hiei, I see that you are feeling better, I hope. I want to make a

request." I looked at the toddler. I raised a questioning eyebrow at him, and he

cleared his throat.

"Hiei, I want you to check this shrine *holds out a picture of the Sunset Shrine*

and if there is anything strange going on report back here." I stared at the picture. For

some reason, I had a flash back of that dream, and it confused me greatly. I looked at

Koenma, gave a curt nod, and raced towards the shrine.

~With Kagome in Kagome's POV~

I was walking towards the Bone Eaters Well just to pack up some things and to

take a little break from a slave driving inu-hanyou.

As I neared the Bone Eaters Well, my mind replayed all the images that happened

in the dream. I finally reached up on a clearing, where a dried old well that was

covered up in vines lied. I walked over to it and jumped in it. There I was greeted by a

flashing blue light. The light soon died down and now there was a shed over the well. On

a side of the well, a ladder lied there. I climbed up the ladder and opened the shed door.

Once I closed the shed door, I felt this immense power. I looked around to see nobody

there.

"Wh-who's th-there?" I stuttered out. `Oh great Kagome, show that you're

scared.' I mused to myself. I heard the leaves rustle in the Goshinboku, and I looked

towards it. The rustling stopped.

"It must be the birds or something." I muttered to myself as I walked towards my

house/shrine.

Hiei's POV:

`Shit. My cover could have been blown' I mused to myself as she walked towards

her house/shrine. `This girl reminds me of that girl in my dream. What she is wearing is

somewhat related to the girl and her hair, too. In addition, her movements are the same.

No it shouldn't be, because there is no way that dreams could link people.' [That is what

you think.] I heard that annoying little voice in my head. `Can you ever leave me alone?'

I mentally asked. [Nope. Cause I will always haunt you until… well until something

comes up or something like that.] I mentally groaned at that somewhat kind of statement.

[Oh quit being such a big baby.] `Who said I was being a big baby?' I asked the little pest

of a subconscious. [Well… me] `But you are me.' I mentally stated. [Whatever.]

I then came back into reality and started watching the girl. I overheard her say

"Mom, I'm going back to the feudal era later today." `O…kay, the feudal era, what did

she mean by that?' I mused to myself. [I do not know. Don't you have to tell Koenma

this? He did say, "…and if there is anything strange going on report back here."] `And

you listened to the toddler, I'm amazed.' I sarcastically said to the voice. [Why thank

you] I almost fell out of the tree, when he said that. `I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!' I

mentally yelled at the voice. [I know that. Sheesh, I'm not stupid you know.] `Could have

fooled me.' [You're lucky I can't whack you.] `Tch… that is one of the things I'm

thankful for.'

I came back to reality again, as soon as that annoying subconscious left me alone.

The girl was in her room, I guess. I saw her lying on her bed, looking at the ceiling, and

murmuring something. I was trying to here what she was muttering about, when...

Her mother knocked on the door saying, "Kagome-dear, you should take a nice

hot bath before your trip back to the feudal era." `Dammit! I need to know what she was

muttering about.' [And you care what she was muttering about something?] `No!' I

mentally yelled at my subconscious. [Sheesh, you don't have to yell you know. Besides,

the woman who is obviously her mother said her name which is Kagome. Don't you

think that name rings a bell somewhere.] `Ye-no!' [See… it does. Besides, there can be

some other girls that are named Kagome, but I would say that would be a unique name

for a human that is.] `Yes, but that was just a dream. It can't be real. After all, who would

want a forbidden child?' [So your bringing up the forbidden child thing again. Sheesh,

you could at least take a little happiness for yourself. Maybe you can even take the girl as

your mate.] `Why would I want to take this ningen as my mate?' [Because, she's

beautiful for a ningen, and she has this very strong aura that surrounds her. She must be

very powerful too. Plus, she does not reek like all the other ningens you have known.

Besides Kurama, because he is an exception, a spirit kitsune in a human body, and a

male.] `Oh sure bring Kurama in will ya?' I despised having my subconscious always

unexpectedly say something out of the blue. It was just because of that damn dream, and

that… girl. For some reason, this girl intrigued me, wanting me to take her; but luckily I

have control over myself.

I watched as the girl finally emerged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped

around her head. She was wearing this yellow sundress and a baby blue sweater. She

finished drying her hair and started brushing it with the brush.

Kagome's POV:

For some reason, I had this feeling that someone has been watching me. I was just

brushing my hair, for a few minutes. I looked at the Goshinboku, and I could feel a

strange energy. `Maybe it's Inuyasha.' I mused to myself. I walked over to the window

and opened it.

"Inuyasha if you're out there you could come out right now!" I shouted out. There

was now rustling in the Goshinboku, and I saw this boy with tall spiked-up black hair

jump out of the tree. My eyes widened. `He must be a youkai. I had better lead him away

from the shrine.' I mused. I closed the window and started running downstairs.

"Mom! I'm going out!" I yelled as I put on my shoes. I heard her yell, "Sure,

honey, just don't be late for dinner!"

"I will!" I yelled back. I was out the front door where the youkai was.

"Who are you?!" I yelled at the youkai. For some reason, this youkai just

reminded me of the youkai from that dream. I mentally shook my head. I really shouldn't

me thinking about that right now.

Hiei's POV:

"Who are you?!" I heard her yell out me. Sheesh, stupid birds pecking at me. I

was just watching her; and all of a sudden, there were birds pecking at me. It was really

annoying me, and all of a sudden there was a baby bird there and I almost stepped on it.

The bird squawked at me making me lose my balance on the tree. So the only way to

save myself from falling face flat down to the ground was to jump out of the tree.

"Hn." I said to the girl-Kagome. She seemed to get frustrated at my answer.

`Hm… stupid ningen getting all frustrated at my answer.'

"That's not the answer I want! Tell me now, or else!" She yelled to me.

"Or else what?" I asked mockingly, yet curious. I saw her clenched her fist, and I

could see her eyes burning with anger. [Oh sure, just anger her, will ya?] `Shut up.' I

mentally said to the voice. [You can't tell me to shut up.]

The girl, all of a sudden, started to glow this pinkish-blue color. `So she has spirit

energy. Hm… I would say that the pink energy rolling off her… She must be a miko.'

I mused to myself. [No. duh.] `Would you just shut up!' I mentally yelled at my

annoying subconscious. [Make me!] My subconscious yelled back.

While I was arguing with myself, the girl-Kagome shot this unexpecting beam

towards me, hitting me hard in the chest. I looked at her and fell hard down to the ground.

All I could hear was someone dropping down to the ground; and after that, I blacked out.

Author's POV:

Kagome and Hiei were down on the ground unconscious breathing heavily. Mrs.

Higurashi ran outside to see what the banging sound she heard in the front was. She

gasped at what she saw. Her daughter and some other young boy was lying there

unconscious. The boy seemed to be in some critical damage. She started to drag both of

them into the house and laying them on the couch. The boy seemed to be pretty heavy,

and she noticed there was this katana at his side.

`Hm…' Mrs. Higurashi, `I wonder what he uses this katana for.' Mrs. Higurashi

was trying to get his katana and inspect it, but he was holding onto it for his dear life as

you can say that. While she was doing that, Kagome and Hiei were having this kind of

dream link as you can say.
